A coach breaks down the 5 C's framework: Clarity, Calibration, Confidence, Competence, Consistency. He argues you must think before you act, align your subconscious mind with what you want (not what you fear), then take action. Visualization, meditation, and affirmations sync your conscious and subconscious minds.

Your daily reminder that your only limit in life is your own imagination. Your daily reminder that if you can think it, you can't do it. No, if you can think it, you can do it. If you can't think it, you can't do it. You gotta be able to think it before you can do it. You're not a failure. You don't screw up everything you touch. You just got a habit of trying to do stuff before you think it. It's like you trying to listen to a song before you finish downloading it. You, you trying to use the computer while the computer's still coming on. Let, let the computer come on, finish downloading the idea, and then execute. Because I'm here to tell you that the same source that gave you the idea will give you step 1, step 2, step 3, step 4. You gotta be in that resistant free state that you was in when you first got the idea. Think about it, you get your best ideas when you're not chasing down your best ideas. You get your best ideas when you're driving down the road. You get your best ideas when you're relaxing and you're fishing. You get your best ideas when you're just taking a shower. You don't get your best ideas when you in fight or flight trying to solve a problem. Your best ideas find you. But in order for those ideas to find you, you gotta learn how to get in that flow state. You gotta learn how to get what I call calibrated to what you want. Get under the influence of what you want. You do yourself a major disservice when you start going for things, but you going for things from under the influence of what you don't want. You going for money, but you going for money from under the influence of not wanting to be broke. You're not under the influence of wanting money. You're not under the influence of wanting wealth. You're not under the influence of wanting to create legacy. You're under the influence of not wanting to be broke. And you gotta understand that what you're under the influence of, that's what magnetizes your ideas. So when you're under the influence of not being broke, you're still under the influence of broke because the way the subconscious mind work, it doesn't process not being, it just processes the action word. I can remember one time I was at my son's school for field day and, um, I was coaching this one game where the kids would put their sponge in a bucket, put it over their head, hand it back to the next kid behind them. They would keep passing it back, keep passing it back, keep passing it back. There was a bucket at the end and the person at the end would squeeze all the water into the bucket, run to the beginning, and they'll do it again. And pre-K through 6th grade, they broke the classes down into 2 halves. I would coach half of the class and the teacher would coach half of the class. My side went undefeated. And the PE coach came over there, he said, man, you cheating. You're not emptying your bucket out. Ain't no way y'all winning every game. I said, I'll tell you what's going on after. I ain't gonna give you my secret because I like winning. I'll tell you what's going on at the end of the day. But what was going on is the teacher, the half of the class that the teachers was coaching, They was telling the kids what not to do. They were saying, don't squeeze your sponge, stop squeezing the sponge, because the kids, they were squeezing the sponge, getting wet. So by the time they— but they sponge got to the bucket, they didn't have any water to squeeze into the bucket. They had squeezed all the water on their classmates. On my side, I wasn't telling my side what not to do. I was telling my kids what to do. I was saying, hey, handle the sponge gently, treat the sponge like an egg, handle the sponge like a baby. Yeah, keep the water in the sponge. I was telling my kids what to do. They were telling their kids what not to do. And because I was telling my kids what to do, we were whooping they ass. It's that simple. Stop telling yourself what not to do. Start telling yourself what to do. Stop telling yourself, don't screw this up. Don't screw this up. Subconscious mind say, screw this up? Yeah, I know what that is. Stop telling yourself, um, don't be nervous, don't be shy. Don't be nervous. Hey, shoulders back, chest out, chin up. Let's go, let's go eat this up. Let's go do this. Get out of the habit of telling yourself what not to do. Watch this. Whatever you do, don't think about a purple elephant. Whatever you do, try— I want you to try your hardest not to think about a purple elephant. Now, if you sitting there trying not to think about a purple elephant, you can't help but think about a purple elephant. The quickest way to not think about a purple elephant is to think about a green tiger. Think about a red pig. Think about a green dinosaur. Think about anything besides the thing you don't want to think about. Stop telling yourself, don't screw this up. Don't be nervous. Don't overspend. Don't eat carbs. Stop telling yourself what not to eat and start telling yourself what to eat. Eat proteins. Let's get to some of these leafy green vegetables. Let's drink more water. Stop telling yourself what not to do. But in order to know what to tell yourself to do, You gotta backtrack. You gotta know what you want. You gotta know what you want. Most people have no idea what they want. Most people are under the influence of what they don't want, so they telling theyself what not to do, and they subconscious mind doing exactly what it's telling them not to do. Get clear about what you want. I teach this thing called the 5 C's. If you know my work, you gotta know the 5 C's: clarity, calibration, confidence, competence, consistency. I'm gonna say those again. I'm gonna say them slow in case it's somebody's first time in here. It's your first time hearing about the 5 5 C's. This is the center of everything I talk about. So if you plan on sticking around, these 5 C's are— they worth learning so you can have something to stick the rest of these processes to. Because everything that I do is get birthed out of the 5 C process. First is clarity. Clarity. Gotta have clarity. Can't get what you want till you know what you want. Clarity. Second C is calibration. Calibration is about getting in sync with getting under the influence of. When you calibrate to a funny movie, you don't got to try to laugh. That's what happens when you calibrate to a funny movie. If you calibrate to a sad movie, you don't got to try to feel sad. That's exactly what happens when you calibrate to a sad movie. If you calibrate to an erotic film, you don't got to try to get aroused. That's what happens when you calibrate to an erotic film. When you get clear about what you want, you get your clarity, and you start calibrating to your clarity, you ain't got to try to feel confident. You ain't got to try to feel motivated. You ain't got to try to feel inspired. That's what happens when you get calibrated to what you want. Now, when you calibrate it to what you don't want, you don't got to try to feel overwhelmed. You don't got to try to feel like it's impossible. You don't got to try to feel like I screw everything up and it never works and I'm anxious and I'm— that's what happens when you calibrate it to what you don't want. So you trying to, you trying to fix the depression when you need to fix your calibration. You trying to fix the anxiety when what's broken is your calibration. Your body is responding the way that it's supposed to respond when you calibrate it to what you don't want. If you calibrate it to what you don't want and you don't feel anxious, something is wrong. If you calibrate it to what you don't want and you don't feel negative emotion, we might have to get you some, some, some help. It— the anxiety is supposed to be there when you calibrate it to what you don't want. Okay, so first C, clarity. Second C, calibration. Third C, confidence. And the roadmap to confidence is clarity and calibration. If you get clear about what you want and you just keep calibrating to what you want You will accidentally become confident. Confident. I'm not gonna say it's my favorite step because every step is so important, but confidence is where the magic starts to happen. When you become confident in your clarity, it don't matter what they talking about on CNN. It don't matter what they talking about on MSNBC because I'm not confident in CNN. I'm confident in my goal. I'm confident in my clarity. When you become confident in your clarity, it don't matter if it's 0 people on your live stream or 10,000 people in your live stream. You gonna present the way that you present because you're not confident in how many people show up. You're not calibrated to the number. You calibrate it to your goal. So do yourself a favor. First C, clarity. Second C, calibration. Keep calibrating, keep calibrating, keep visualizing, keep imagining. If you want to work with me, you want to experience hypnosis and use hypnosis to help you calibrate, keep calibrating over and over again. You keep calibrating, you're going to accidentally become confident. Confidence is where the magic happens. Confidence is where you don't got to try to put the shoulders back. They go there naturally. Confidence is where you ain't got to try to stick the chest out. They go there naturally. Confidence is where the right words find you. Situations start lining up. You don't got to work hard to convince people because when you're confident in your calibration, they can feel it. You got to understand, people will feel you before they hear you and see you. People feel your energy before they hear what you're saying. People feel your energy before they see your nice outfit. So you can have on the perfect outfit and have the perfect speech, but if you're not clear, calibrated, and confident, they still not going to buy from you. Now you can be clear, calibrated, and confident and have on the wrong outfit. 'Cause a lot of people, a lot of times feel like I have on the wrong outfit. I don't wanna wear a 3-piece suit. If you need a, a hypnotherapist to wear a 3-piece suit, if you need a coach to go wear a 3-piece suit, it's plenty of those out there. I don't wanna wear that, but because I'm clear, calibrated, and confident, I can get away with wearing what I wanna wear. But I know people who wear the right uniform, but they don't got clarity, they don't got calibration, they don't got confidence, and the calendar's still empty. Do you a favor, get clear, get calibrated, get confident. And to a large degree, when you get clear, calibrated, and confident, you get to start making your own rules because you're not calibrated to what's going on out there. You calibrated to where you headed. Okay, clarity, calibration, confidence. Then and only then do we go to step 4, competence. Step 4 is competence. We do the doing at step 4. A lot of times I see people trying to treat step 4 like step 1. I'm here to tell you that step 4 is not step 1. Step 4 is step 4. Okay? I'm not saying that action isn't important. I'm saying get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then take action. I'm not saying don't go to the gym. I'm saying get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then go to the gym. I'm not saying you don't gotta build a website and you don't gotta do your business plan. I'm saying get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then build a website. How do you build a website without clarity? You don't know what to put on the website. You ain't got no the right color schemes. You using this shade of purple up here, another shade of purple down here. It don't match on your other social media. Get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then do your marketing. Get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then start backdating. Get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then go networking. How do you go networking when you unclear, uncalibrated, unconfident? One person asks you what you do, you say you're an entrepreneur. Another person asks you what you do, you're a motivational speaker. Another person asks you what you do, you done went back to your day job and you didn't— now, now you coming off as a liar when you're not a liar. You just unclear, uncalibrated, and unconfident. Get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then start networking. Get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then join Toastmasters and something magical happens. People want to do business with you. You become magnetic. You don't gotta try to be influ— influential. You accidentally become influential when you clear, calibrated, and confident. But when you try to force influence without being clear, calibrated, and confident, what happens is you accidentally screw your confidence up cuz you start feeling like you can't do it when it's not that you can't do it. You just trying to do it in the wrong order. You trying to drive the car and you haven't cranked up the car yet. You trying to use the vacuum and you haven't plugged it into the wall yet. So you pushing the vacuum and it's making lines on the floor, but it's not sucking. And you, you like, well, let me push it harder. It don't need to be pushed hard. It need to be plugged in. And in this analogy, being plugged in is you getting clear about what you want, getting calibrated to what you want, and becoming confident in what you want. Then you vacuum the floor. Now you got suction. Now you're not just making lines. Now you actually picking up dirt. And the last C is consistency. Consistency. You don't get clarity once. You keep getting clarity. Every time you see something you don't like, that's a new opportunity for clarity. I don't like that. What would I rather have? Boom. Now I got a new desire. Let me calibrate to this new desire. And I'm gonna keep calibrating to this new desire. I'm gonna keep feeding this desire to my subconscious mind until I accidentally become confident in this new desire. Now, once I become confident in this new desire, now I'm about to rebrand. Now I'm about to redo my website. I'll give you an example in my life. Um, when I first had got started, I had clarity that I wanted to be booked and busy. I want to be booked and busy, booked and busy, fill my schedule up. Then I got booked and busy. New clarity. I don't want to be booked and busy. I want to work with us. I want to work with people, but I don't want to. I don't want to see ten clients today. It's too much. I don't want to see eight clients today. I don't want client after client after client. Um, I think I want. This is what I want to do. I want to give my undivided attention to ten people a month for one-on-one sessions. I'm gonna put a premium price on these one-on-one. In-person sessions, and I'm putting everybody else in group sessions. The people who can't afford the one-on-one sessions, I'm gonna do a lot of group training for them. Okay, now when I first got the clarity about what I wanted, step 2 is to calibrate. My conscious mind came up to that idea, but now I got to get my subconscious mind brought up in the— bought in on this idea. It's like, uh, so we, we refer to the subconscious mind as the feminine mind. We refer to the Conscious mind, that's the masculine mind. So my masculine mind came up with an idea, right? So we're gonna call the masculine mind the husband. The husband came up with an idea, but the subconscious mind, the wife, the feminine mind— the masculine mind got to get the husband, got to get the wife bought in on the idea. So calibration is about the husband going to the wife, say, hey, I got this new idea. It's gonna allow me to get this much more time back at the house. It's gonna allow me to make more money in less time. It's gonna allow me— hold on, guys, my sister calling. Hey, Jay, I'm calling from the office. Hey, what's going on? Hey. I'm on live. You need some? Yeah, you need some? Uh, yeah, it's here. If you come by, I'll run it down. Okay. All right. But the conscious mind got to get the subconscious mind on board. I'm sorry about that, y'all. You got to answer when your little sister call. I don't care what you're doing. But the conscious mind got to get the subconscious mind on board, okay? And you do that through controlling your focus. You do that through controlling your imagination. You do that through hypnosis. You do that through meditation. You do that through affirmations. You do that through visualizing. You do that through journaling. It's tons and tons and tons of ways to calibrate. But calibration is about purposely focusing on this thing and understanding that the conscious mind, the husband, runs off logic, reason, analysis, and willpower. But the subconscious mind, the wife, runs off feeling emotion. So calibration is largely about getting the feelings in the body, getting yourself to feel like you could do this. And that's how it accidentally spins into confidence. When you got the husband going, that's a great idea, and you got the wife going, ooh, that is a great idea. Now that, now, now they married on the idea. That's when you become confident. Then and only then do you raise the price. Then and only then do you rebuild the website. I would look, I would be crazy to get this idea about I'm doing 10 in-person sessions a month. I'm working with 10 people a month doing in-person sessions. Each one of these slots gonna cost $3,500. Now, if I just get that idea consciously, but the subconscious is like, man, I don't know, my limiting beliefs like, ooh, they gonna really be willing to pay that much. If I haven't taken care of that and I'm in a consultation going, well, all right, so let's talk pricing. So this is what we're gonna do. It's $3,500. They gonna, they feel my, they gonna say $3,500. I'm not giving you, you don't even believe in that. I'm not giving you $3,500. But when I take the work to get clear, I want to charge 10 people $3,500 a month. Those 10 people gonna be the only people I'm working with in person. I can do this, man. I've been doing this for a really long time. I'm really good at what I do. I got some, I got some great results. Like, man, I'm the coach's coach. Like, you will be surprised. Like, I, I gotta sell it to my subconscious mind. I gotta send my imagination to it. I gotta go there and practice. I gotta build a neural network around it. That's what calibrating is about. Now, as I keep calibrating I'm gonna accidentally become confident. When I become confident, when I feel that confidence growing, I feel like, yeah, I should have been raising prices. They really been getting up. They really been getting the steal. Now it's time to rebuild a website. Now it's time to get in consultation. Say, all right, let's talk numbers. So you told me you want to accomplish XYZ and you want to do it in this amount of time. This is what I suggest we do. I suggest we get started this Monday. Now I only got 10 of these slots available. I got, I got 3 slots open right now. I got 7 people in these slots. So I can get you one of these 3 slots. It's going to be an investment of $3,500. How do you want to take care of that? They're like, okay, it's only $3,500, you're gonna help me get exactly what I want. Boom, let's do it. But if I try to do that before I become clear, calibrated, and confident, I'm not gonna say it's impossible, but boy do I have an uphill battle. Do yourself a favor, get your leverage, get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then take action. My little sister should be pulling up. I gotta go, um, take care of her. I'll see y'all next time, man. If you new here, hit that subscribe button, uh, turn that bell on because I do random lives. I, I'll just pop on if I got a few free minutes.
