Jay Shaw argues affirmations like "I am abundant" don't work. Instead, give your sibling cash or overpay your bills by a dollar. Your subconscious learns abundance from what you actually do, not what you say.

tell you. That's how I like to treat my subconscious mind. I can sit here and say, I am abundant, I am wealthy, I am abundant, I am wealthy. Or I could pull out my cell phone and cash out my little sister $10, say, hey, I know you get coffee every morning, that's on big bro this morning. My subconscious mind gonna say, wait, we got money to— yep, got money to give away, we must be— yep, must be abundant. There you go. That, that's what— that's a powerful affirmation. That's an affirmation for your ass. I could sit down and say, "I am abundant. I am wealthy. I am abundant. I am." Or when I sit down to pay my bills, I could put extra dollar or two on every bill. Now instead of me owing TXU three hundred and eighty-three dollars, they owe me a dollar. They owe me two dollars. My subconscious mind say, "Wait, the the the light company? Oh yeah, they owe me money. Big dog. Oh wow, we must be abundant." There you go. Write that down, sub.
