Earning a degree, moving cities, or quitting smoking won't work if you don't fix what you believe about yourself first. Real change comes from shifting your identity and what you expect, not from chasing surface-level goals.

A new degree isn't going to fix your identity. Moving to a new city is not going to fix your identity. Does that make sense? We didn't have to teach him how to be a likable person. We didn't have to teach him how to control his temper. We had to fix his identity. Like, people get so distracted by behavior that they don't realize all of this happens, and then the behavior shows up as a byproduct of the behavior. Is a symptom. The problem is always in here. When somebody wants to quit smoking, I don't got to make them quit smoking. I got to go look at their belief architecture. I got to go look on what they focus on and what they notice throughout it. I got to look at what they expect. Does that make sense?
