Coach Jay Shaw argues willpower doesn't work. Instead, shift your internal energy or frequency to naturally attract opportunities and success. He uses the 5 C's framework (clarity, calibration, confidence, competence, consistency) and explains how thoughts and feelings create feedback loops that either reinforce failure or success.

What's up? What's up? What's up? How y'all doing, man? Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. I'm back. I'm back. I'm back. We had some technical difficulties that we had to work out, but we back. Got those all ironed out. I'm Coach Jay. I coach bosses. And if you lucky enough to be in this room today, I'm gonna be coaching you. We're gonna always start from the same foundation that we started from. You could be doing have anything you desire. If you could think it, you could do it. Now, if you can't think it, you might as well give up because you're going to have a hard time doing it. But if you could think it, man, if you could put your attention on it, if you could just start thinking in that direction, you'll accidentally start moving. You accidentally start leaning in that direction. You accidentally start reading things that spark ideas in that direction. You accidentally start meeting people and networking. Like when you're using willpower, you can purposely go to a networking event and get no results. When you start using energy, you'll accidentally start. You was just trying to get a cup of coffee, and you'd have met somebody who's gonna help you ten x this thing. You was just taking your kids to school, and you didn't met somebody that's gonna help you take things to another level. That's the difference when you start using. Well, you use energy rather you realize it or not. But when you start to purposely get in the energy of what you want, you start feeling like the type of person that. Of course he has it. Of course she has that. Like, it's not even a surprise to you when you like sit in the energy. You're not even surprised. You're not even surprised when reality catches up to you. Like, okay, yeah, duh, obviously it's— of course I've been sitting in this frequency, why wouldn't I have that result? What's going on, Melanie? How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. Where you tapping in from? We just really getting started and we talking about the fact Same thing we talk about every time I go live. You could be, do, and have anything you desire. Your only limit in life is your own imagination. What's going on, Talking Biz? If you could think it, you can't do it. I mean, if you could think it, you can do it. But if you can't think it, no amount of strategy— no, the perfect funnel can't help you if you can't even hold it in your mind. The perfect sales pitch can't help you if you can't hold the end result in your mind. You got to be able to hold the desired outcome. If you can't hold it in your mind, you can't hold it in your hands. But if you learn how to hold it in your mind, you'll accidentally start holding it in your hand. Key is the master holding it in your hand. What's going on, Danielle? How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Every problem is a thinking problem. What's going on in Narrow Way? Every problem is a thinking problem. And when you stop working on that thing that you think is the problem and start working on the source of that problem, The thinking, oh man, you accidentally, accidentally start making new decisions, accidentally start getting different results, accidentally start having a different outcome. It's not about trying harder, it's about doing what actually works. Doing the wrong thing harder isn't going to get you a better result. It'll exert more energy. You won't be anxious at the time because you're busy doing something, but it is— working harder isn't the answer. I'm not saying that you don't have to do no work at all. That's stupid. But, um, when you get in the right energy, the work flow through you. It's not something that you got to do. It's something that you get to do. It's something that you're called to do. It's something that you're pulled to do. When you start using your mind on purpose and you got that energy that creates worlds flowing through you and coming out of your fingertips. on, man. It's, it's different. The weight is different. The load is different. You carry it, you carry it different. And other people see how you carry it differently. They want to do business with you. They want to spend money with you. They want to date you. They want to hang out with you. Because now you're doing it, but you're doing it from the right energy. You're doing it, but you're doing it with a different mindset. And that's the difference that makes all the difference. What's going on, Mrs. Jackson? What's going on, Nina? How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. We just really getting started, man. Here talking about what we always talking about. If you could think it, you could do it. I don't care what it is. If you could think more money, you could do more money. But if you think poverty, guess what? You gonna do poverty. If you could think unshakable confidence, you will do unshakable confidence. But if you could think low self-esteem and I can't do it, then you gonna accidentally do that. Your body is following your thinking. Your life is following your thinking. If you want to change your life, you got to change your thinking. And you got to change your thinking in a way where it causes you to feel different. When you start feeling different, you'll accidentally start thinking differently. But then feeling and thinking, they work in this, this loop, this never-ending loop. And it could be a success loop, but it also could be a failure loop. And a lot of people, especially when they first stumble into this, this content, they're usually in that failure loop and they're trying to use willpower to escape that failure loop. But No amount of willpower is going to take you out of that failure loop. Thinking different is going to take you out of that failure loop. Feeling different is going to take you out of that failure loop. So it's going to call— it's going to require you to start being a different person before the results start to show up. What's going on, Black Angel? What's going on, Dale? What's going on, Jennifer? You're gonna have to be that person before you do that thing. A lot of people try to do the thing from the mindset, the thoughts, and the feelings of the old being. You gotta Crucify that version of yourself and become another version of yourself before you can do different. You can't wait on the money to show up to say, okay, now I'm rich. No, you say, okay, now I'm rich, and you sit in that while the bank account catches up. You can't wait on the relationship to say, okay, now I'm loved. I'm loved right now. I'm loved right now. And now that you in this place of being loved, watch how quick you accidentally find a relationship. So you've been on all the dating apps, going on all the dates, going to all the things, but you're going in the wrong energy. Get in the right energy and you at Starbucks just trying to get some coffee and you done met your match in line. You at the school trying to drop your kids off and you done met your match just trying to do something that you was going to do anyway, but now you in the right frequency. I don't care how much willpower you use, if you feel like a one-night stand Dressing different ain't gonna change that. Talking different ain't gonna change it. I'm not doing that out no more. Ain't gonna— if you feel like a one-night stand, then you feel like a one-night stand. If you feel like as a guy all you got to offer is money, don't be surprised when you keep getting people who only— that's what— that's the frequency you sitting in. You can't blame them for knowing how to read energy. You can't blame them for knowing how to read energy. How you mad at them? Because you feel like a one-night stand and they treating you like a one-night stand. How you mad at them? Because you feel like you break bread and they treat you like you break bread. How you mad at them? Because they can read energy. How you mad at them? Because they discernment work. And they using you for the frequency that you existing in. If you don't like how you being treated in that frequency, get in a new frequency. Because you can go get a brand new job, but if you take that same frequency to that brand new job, your new manager ain't gonna like you neither. It's gonna be somebody there stealing your food out the fridge too. You can go get in a new relationship, but if you take that same frequency, you're gonna bring this to create the same problems in a new relationship. You don't got to fix relationship, you got to fix your frequency and law of attraction to take care of the rest. I got a homeboy right now, he going through some relationship stuff, and with me, he was talking and trying not to overshare. Let me clean this up a little bit in my mind as I talk. And he was pretty much talking about how he was gonna start Like, I'll start doing my husbandly— my husband duties when she started doing her, her wife duties. Like, it was kind of going that direction. I said, you can do that, but, uh, let me ask you a question. Who's the leader of y'all relationship? Without even thinking about it, he say, me. I say, leaders go first. Leaders go first, fam. So if you just be the best husband you could be, independent of what she doing, then you let law of attraction take care of the rest. Either she gonna rise up and meet you at the top, or law of attraction will take care of it and you're gonna get a brand new wife. But the good thing about it is you never got out of the practice of being a bad husband. Because if you hang out in that energy and you start practicing being a bad husband, you gonna meet her, you gonna get a new relationship. But if you in the practice of being a bad husband, you're not gonna be able to just flip that switch and instantly turn that back on. So don't let her water down how you husband. Don't let her water down how you man. Show up as the man that you desire to be and the husband you desire to be. Leave it up to her. It's not your job to be a good wife. You just be a good husband. Either she gonna rise up to the equation or law of attraction gonna take care of it. Either way, you never watered yourself down. So if she get her stuff together, you good. If she don't get her stuff together, oh, you gonna have a blast back out there dating because you never turned off your husband ability. But guess what's happening? As he's stepping up his husband and being the husband he desired to be, he's getting the wife he desired. Anytime you change one piece of an equation, you accidentally change the whole equation. Like we talking right now, we building and we talking about what we talking about. But if I change the way I'm talking, the whole room changes. If you change the way you come in, the whole room changes. If you if you change or I change, it's gonna the room is gonna go in a different direction based on the changes we make. If you say something weird in the comment, even if I don't respond to it out loud, I saw it. It went in my brain and it got in there with everything else that was moving. What's going on? Does that make sense? If you just change one piece of the equation, the whole equation changes. So what I like to encourage people to do is change— focus on the piece that you actually got control of. You focus on the people. Like, why are you wasting so much energy? Why are you wasting so much willpower on things that you don't have control over? You know what you got 100% control over, especially if you get in the practice of using it? Your mind. Your energy, how you show up in the space. If you just learn how to manipulate that, like when people find out I'm a hypnotist, they usually ask, they say one or two things. They either say, oh, don't hypnotize me, or they say, can you teach me how to hypnotize people? The question that they should be asking me is, can you teach me how to hypnotize myself? Because when I know how to influence me, I don't need you for a damn thing. I wake up feeling good. I go to bed feeling good. When I learn how to hypnotize me, I don't got to hypnotize you. Just knowing how to influence me is enough to get everything I want. Knowing how to get me out of a funk, knowing how to get me in a good mood, knowing how to get me to lock in and focus on what I need to. I don't need you to do anything. But most people, they so busy trying to hypnotize other people, trying to influence other people, trying to manipulate other people. If you spent that time manipulating yourself, game over. Game. It's not about like that's like being a professional athlete, and instead of practicing, you sitting there praying that the other team lose. Right, bro? If you don't go practice, and I don't want to work on me. I just want. I want. I want them to lose. I don't want to get stronger. I want them to get weaker. What what are you saying? Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? I don't want to get stronger, God. Just make my life easy. I don't want to develop. I don't want to grow. I don't want to stretch. I don't want to be developed. Just Make things easy for me. I don't want to develop patience. I don't want to develop my muscle. I just want the world to become weaker. I just want things to stop moving on my account. Knock it off. What are you talking about? What's going on, Crown? What are you talking about? You could be, do, and have anything you desire. Your only limit in life is your own imagination. If you could think it, you could do it. If you can't think it, give up. If you can't think it, give up. I don't think I'm frozen. Am I froze, y'all? If you can't think it, give up. But the good news is you could think anything you desire to take, anything you desire to think. You might have to give up some of that TikTok time and go practice thinking. You might have to give up some of that YouTube time and go practice thinking. You might have to give up some of that Netflix time, some of that Hulu time, and go practice thinking it. But if it's not worth you sitting down and focusing on it, my question is, do you, do you really want it? Or do you just like the reaction people give you when you talk about it? Do you really want to be an entrepreneur? Or you just like how people treat you when you talk about entrepreneurship? Do you want to be in a relationship more than you enjoy telling that story about how it ain't no more good men or no good women out there? Because sometimes we like so involved with the story that we think we want this new thing, but we're actually chemically addicted To our past, it ain't even the past we want. It's the cortisol hit. So my question is, what do you want? What do you want? Because if you let's say you got a friend that y'all really that you're really close with, but your whole friendship is built on how talking about there are no more good partners in the world. Men are trash, women are trash. Your whole friendship, y'all, all y'all budding experiences revolve around that conversation. So do you want a new relationship? Do you want to be in a loving relationship more than you want to continue having that conversation with your friend? Because getting in that new relationship is going to require you to stop having that conversation. It's going to require you to put something else on TV. It's going to require you to start thinking different. You, if you didn't practice that conversation 15 times this week and you go on a date, I don't care what you consciously saying. Guess what your energy is? Guess what those decisions that you're making aligning with that conversation that you've been practicing over and over again? So I know you saying that you want this thing. Do you want it bad enough to quit having that conversation? Do you want it bad enough to Stop practicing that reality. Do you want it bad enough to stop manifesting what you don't want? Because the thing that you don't want tends to be one of your favorite topics, and that's really puzzling to me. You don't like it, but it's all you want to talk about. You say you don't like it, but it's your favorite topic. You say you don't like it, but you go on TikTok and watch videos about it. You say you don't like it, but you get on ChatGPT and talk about it. That's, that's puzzling to me. And you ain't thought about what you want in years. You ain't thought about what you want in weeks. And when you do think about what you want, you think about it for 3 seconds and you go, well, too bad, that'll never happen, because right back into that familiar frequency. Then you go get another— see, I told you. You go get another job. See, I told you. Go work for another company. You go try another and you go, see, I told you. It ain't the industry. It ain't the relationship. It ain't the job. It's you and that frequency that you carrying everywhere. With you, change that frequency. You ain't got to leave that job. You can stay at the job you at. Change that frequency and watch what it do in the relationship that you in. Change that frequency and reality has no choice but to respond to you differently. But when you sitting in that frequency, no amount of willpower is going to give you a different result. I coach a lot of entrepreneurs, and most of the people who come with me to work, they're brilliant strategists. They can design funnels, they can write copy, they know how to close, but it's an energy thing that's keeping them from the next level. Most of the entrepreneurs I meet, myself included, started business— started a business as a defense mechanism. They started the business because they wanted to feel like enough. They wanted to prove to people they were capable. They want to prove to people they were smart. They weren't consciously saying, I want to start a business so I could prove people I'm smart. But subconsciously, they say, I'm gonna show y'all I'm good enough. I'm gonna show y'all how brilliant I am. They wanted to prove theirself. Then a lot of times after they get their proof, they became a 6-figure earner. They become a 7-figure earner. But the needing to prove themselves was the fuel in the tank. So once they prove theyself, now the car out of gas and they don't know how to start it up because they ain't never started it up without nothing to prove. See how crazy energy is? See how sneaky energy is? So the way that we use it to our benefit is we get crystal clear on what we talk about— I mean, on what we want— and we make what we want one of our favorite topics. We make what we want one of our favorite topics. And what we do is we stop working on what we don't want and we starve that shit to death. Starve it. Don't fix it. Starve it. Starve it. What if you didn't fix it? What if you just said, fuck it? I'm done thinking about things that make me sad. I'm done thinking about things that de-energize me. All that time I used to spend thinking about that, I'm thinking about what I want. Now, you used to accidentally get anxious. You used to accidentally get depressed. You used to accidentally get sad. You used to accidentally get overwhelmed. Now that you're thinking about different things, watch how you start accidentally getting confident. Watch how you start accidentally coming up with some really cool ideas. Let me tell you the dope thing about really cool ideas. Really cool ideas bring energy with them. When you get a real good idea, you don't got to use willpower. Like, imagine if you out and about shopping, right? And you find like a real cute piece of furniture. You find a new vase, you get some new curtains, you get a new rug. You don't got to go home and drink a cup of coffee and drink a Red Bull. When you walk through the door, you ready to rearrange your living room. You want to put your new curtains up. Now, if it's just time to spring clean and you see the baseboards getting dirty and you're like, oh man, I gotta, let me go get some coffee so I can get this. Now that's what using willpower look like. But when you get inspired to redecorate your house, you're not using willpower to redecorate your house. A few months ago when I got my new office, I hate decorating, I hate shopping, I hate all of that stuff. But when I had a new office and I was getting to create this new environment that I get to do this thing that I enjoy in, that my clients get to sit in, I spent 48 hours straight shopping and ordering stuff and hanging stuff up, picking my sister. We in Arlington now, we in Grand Prairie now, we all over. Okay, I gotta drive all the way over here because they got the couch I want. I gotta order this. You can't get me to do that type of stuff, but when I'm inspired to do it, you can't, you can't get me to stop. The question that you ask yourself is not how do I make myself do that thing? How do I lock myself in energy where I can't help but do that thing? What do I need to believe about myself? Did I, I do the thing on accident? And then you start working on that. I teach this thing called the 5 C's: clarity, calibration, confidence, competence, consistency. First C is clarity, because you can't get what you want till you know what you want. So the first thing you do is you look at what you don't want, and you don't try to fix it, you don't try to unpack it, you don't try to study it. You look at that thing that you don't like and say, well, what would I rather have? You look at their bank account, you see not enough money, and instead of going, well, you don't understand where I was raised and this happened and that happened and in this economy, can you— instead of trying to justify it, you say, hmm, what would I rather have? What would I rather have? And you don't just say some shit you heard on the internet. People love to throw around a million dollars. People love to throw around $100,000. It's crazy that everybody want to magically want the same amount of money. That's what you've been marketed. That's what you— what do you really What do you want? Jay, real shit, man. $2,500 a week could change my life. Start focusing on that, man. $2,500 a week, good 6 bands a month. No, that's, that's $10,000 a month. Good $10,000 a month, man. That'll allow me to start putting back some savings, start doing this, start doing— man, that'll be great. You just start thinking about that. Start putting your attention on it. Start putting your mind on it. Now you're gonna accidentally start listening to podcasts that help you do that. Yeah, you're gonna accidentally start reading books to help you do that. You're gonna— yeah, you're gonna accidentally start hanging around other people who want something similar. Y'all gonna start bouncing ideas off each other, and now you don't got to use willpower to stop hanging with the old friends. It's just way more exciting to go hang with the new ones who own what you want, who vibrating like you vibrate. Like, people don't understand, if you just fix your frequency, law of attraction will take care of so much. I'm cut in 2026. I'm cutting all y'all off. I'm not dealing with— if you just change your frequency, law of attraction to cut it off for you. You ain't got to send no long-ass text messages. You ain't gotta make a Facebook post. If you just change your frequency, you— they'll be bored talking to you and you'll be bored talking to them. If you just change your frequency, places that you used to couldn't stay out of, you'll be in them same places going. I got a young guy that I'm working with and he's a sophomore in college. Freshman year of college really challenged him. He was having a hard time balancing partying and, you know, school and, you know, first time being from under his parents' hands and being able to do whatever he wanted to do. So his dad is one of my clients. His dad got him working with me. He just started back in school. He said, Jay, bro, thank you. Thank you, bro. This year is different. Other night I'm at a party. I'm bored out of my mind. All I could think about is what I want to do on my YouTube channel. All I could think about is my goals. Well, I was there like 30 minutes. I dipped out and I was on my phone that whole 30 minutes. He's like, it's— it's— he's like, I can't explain it. It's different now. Yeah, it's different because you different. And now that you different, it ain't got no choice but to be different. I used to be the king of partying. You couldn't catch me in the house on the weekend. I didn't say I gotta stop partying. I changed what I was focusing on. Now that I'm focused on difference, I hate going out. I hate being outside. I want to go home. I want to get in my recliner. I want to read a book. I want to write. I want to stream. I want to work on my business. Why would I spend money on that when that's $300? You know what I can do with $300 worth of Google Ads? You know what I can do with $300 worth of TikTok? I don't want to spend $300 on that. I can spend that $300 and make $5,000 off it. Why? I don't got to use willpower to not go buy a session. I know what I can do with that money. This new version of me got different things to do with their money. This new version of me got different things to do with their time. This new version of me is attracted to different women. That old version of me, oh, he was wow. This new version, I don't got to use willpower to do this new version of me. Like nah, nah, so you finna waste my time. You a distraction. What I used to see fun, this new version of me say nah, that's a distraction, an expensive distraction at that. I'm I'm good. Thanks, look. Enjoy your night. Nope. You mean? I'm not mean. I'm just I know what I want and you not it. But when I don't know what I want, anything could do. When I don't know what I want— Jay, I'm having a kickback, pull up. Bet. Jay, you want to go do it? Bet. Hey Jay, I'm gonna ride over here real quick. Bet. Hey bro, what's that in the car? Oh shit, blue and red light. When you don't know what you want, anything sounds like a plan. But when you already got a plan, you already got something that you calibrated to— hey bro, can you ride over here with me? Dog, I would, but I already got plans, man. Jay, can you sit down and listen to me talk about what I want? Bro, I would, but the way my abundance set up I, I can't, bro. Like, I, I can't. You're not gonna take me out of this frequency. Like, I, I can't. Don't— you don't got to change your friends. You don't got to change your job. You don't got to change your spouse. You don't got to change nothing but the way you think. Change what you focus on, and you'll accidentally get new friends. Your spouse gonna accidentally catch up. They gonna catch up or get lost, get left behind. You ain't got to fix them. Just show up. And if you really leveling up and you really showing up every, every day the way that you need to show up and you showing up as the best version of yourself, they gonna start being uncomfortable in your presence. It's hard to lay beside somebody every night who giving it 110% and you not, and you don't start getting in your head and you're gonna start saying, you make me insecure, like, or whichever, you make me insecure, you think you more. No, you think that. Sir, you think that, ma'am. All I'm doing is showing up every day, giving it all I got. All I'm showing up every day is focusing on what I want. Now, the fact that you feel inferior in my presence, you should book a session with Coach Jay so y'all can work on that. Does that make sense? You don't gotta fix them. It's not yours to fix. In fact, you can't fix them. I tell my clients all the time, I can't fix you. First off, you're not broken, you're just not focused. You got to realize you don't have a— let me not say that because then I gotta stay on longer than I want to and have that whole conversation. A lot of times people mistake anxiety and depression. They like, they put these titles on, and so many people are self-diagnosed. But people will self-diagnose these— theyself with these things. What they really got is a focus problem. News flash, you gonna feel anxious when you focus on things that Make you anxious. News flash: you gonna feel depressed if you focused on things that depressed you. Like duh. Like if you standing at the edge of a cliff inches away from your death and you feel nothing, we got a problem. If you got an eviction notice on the door and you feel nothing, no shit. We got yeah, we we got a problem. You supposed to feel angst. It's nothing unhealthy about having a certain level of angst. Without angst, you wouldn't pay your bills. Without angst, you wouldn't take care of your kids. Without— there's nothing unnatural. Like, you gotta get out of this bullshit idea of I'm gonna feel great 100% of the time. Like, I was, uh, watching this lady on TikTok a few weeks ago, real great mom. She like wakes up every morning, she give her kids these Positive affirmation. She sent them to school like she sent them to school hyped up. She get in the mirror with them, she hype them up. I love it. But in one of the videos, she asked the little girl, she was like, on a scale of 0 to 10, how's your day going? And the little girl said an 8. And she's like, why is it not a 10? And like, you know, she wasn't being mean, but she was grilling the baby. And I just hit her in the back. I'm like, hey, like, I appreciate— I see what you're doing, but hey, in the grand scheme of things, an 8 on just a regular day Is a, is a, is a dope day. Like, a 10 is for weddings and stuff. Like, shit, she having an 8 and she brushing her teeth. Like, that's— don't like accidentally program her that if it's not a 10, it's broken. Shit, a 6 is a— that's an everyday. Yeah. A 7 is, is thumbs up. Like, but we accidentally program ourselves thinking if it's not a 10, if my relationship not a 10, is broken. Bro, let me tell you something. You're gonna have more days that are fives in a long-term relationship than tens. Tens is for cruises. Tens is for honeymoons. Tens is for anniversary. If you expecting a ten on a random Wednesday, you setting that relationship up for failure. When you in business, you gonna have more fives than tens. Okay? I have days where I hit a lick. I've had twenty thousand dollar days, but it's way more days of not hitting the lick than hitting the lick. If I feel like I'm an unsuccessful entrepreneur and If I'm not hitting a lick every day. If you're hitting the right licks, 3 or 4 of them a year change everything. But does that make sense? Every day is not going to be a 10, and you got to be okay with that. But when you expect and when you need it to be a 10, bro, you better get comfortable at a shit. A 7 is a great day. A 6 is a good day. And don't let 30 seconds of a bad day ruin your entire shit neither, man. Like, did you have a bad day, or did you have two minutes of something you didn't like, and you spent the rest of the day thinking about that two minutes? Did you turn a day that could have easily been a seven into a three because you refused to control your mind? You refused to control your focus. Crown of Amethyst, I got a little hype. I was not reading the chat. What you coming out of? Does this stuff make sense though, man? Does this stuff make sense? You can enjoy a seven, man. A seven can be a blast. A seven can be a blast. But yo, your only limit in life is your own imagination. Complete. Your your only limit in life is your own imagination. If you can think it, you can do it. If you can feel it, you'll do it on accident. When you feel sleepy, you don't got to try to go to sleep. When you feel sad, you don't got to try to cry. When you feel in a good mood, you don't got to try to show up and be in a good mood. When you feel confident, accidentally put your whole walk change when you feel confident. I noticed with my son early on, when Ralph got a haircut and some new clothes on, bro, his whole walk changed. His whole— like, he— I'm like, bro, who are you? Like, he He just turned into a little sauce god on accident. How do I need to feel so that I accidentally do those things that I want to do? How do I need to feel to go out there and accidentally make a million? I forget about chasing a million. How do I need to feel to get out there and accidentally create a million? How do I need to feel to feel like I got some vibe? What would happen if I felt like I had value to offer to any room I stepped in? Figure out the belief that would change everything for you. What's the one belief? What's that one belief that if you believed it about yourself, it'll change how you show up in your business? It'll change how you show up in your relationships. It'll change how you parent. Like most people want to check one. Okay, I want I got I gotta be I gotta become a better parent. I gotta become a better spouse. I gotta become a better boss. What's the one belief that'll instantly take all of that shit to another level? Start practicing that one, Bleep. Damn, you're a better parent, you're a better spouse, you're a better boss. You, bro, what did you do? I, I learned, I mastered the thought. I mastered the thought that I could walk into any room, my shoulders back, my chest out, and my chin up. I mastered the thought that I'm an amazing hypnotist. I can hypnotize anybody, anytime, anywhere. If I can't inspire you, you can't be inspired. I mastered the thought. I'm him. I'm not waiting to be him. I'm him right now. I'm it right now. Now I'm gonna keep developing. I'm gonna keep growing. I'm gonna be better and better and better and better and better every time you see me. But I'm good enough right now. I'm not waiting to be good enough. I'm good enough. I'm not waiting to become him. I'm him, man. I'm— and I haven't even reached my final form. After I developed that way of thinking, I don't give a damn if it's only 3 people in this live. 3 people finna get this work. And if 3,000 people show up, guess what? I'm not nervous. I'm not second-guessing myself. You don't get nervous. Nervous for what? I'm the one adding the value. That's like me standing on the street corner handing out $100 bills, and I'm not— no, I'm not nervous. I'm the one giving the value. If you're at the back of the line, you should be nervous that we're gonna run out before you get up here. You start, you start to view it different. You start to show up different. Now, when you sitting in that mindset and you design your website, the website feel different. When you sitting in that mindset and you show up in a consultation, you show up different. When you're sitting in that mindset and you making your price list, you price it different. When you negotiating your salary and you sitting in that mindset, you negotiate different. They slide a number off the table and you start laughing. You say, that's for me? I think you, you left off a zero, sir. What's this? Oh, Mr. Shaw, we made a— yeah, you damn right you made a mistake. Come on, fix that. Now that you sitting in that energy, stuff that you used to have to say with your mouth, it's understood. They feel it in your energy. You feel like somebody not to be played with. You feel like something valuable that you don't want Feel different. Feel different. Everything that you see was a thought before it was a thing. This phone was a thought before it was a thing. This hat was a thought before it was a thing. The words that are coming out of my mouth were thoughts before they were words coming out of my mouth. Does that make sense? TikTok was a thought before it was a thing. Okay, so those thoughts that you have, you got to start to treat them as the thing. You got to realize that the desire for the relationship is the damn relationship. The desire for the business is the business. The acorn is the oak tree. If you got an acorn, you got an oak tree. If you got a desire, you got the thing. The desire is the thing. You just gotta keep watering the desire. Now, if you go sit an acorn on your kitchen counter, it's never becoming an oak tree. But if you put acorn in the right environment, it don't got no choice but to become an oak tree. If you put that desire in doubt and fear and it's never gonna happen, then guess what? It's not going to become that thing. But if you put that desire in the right soil, it ain't got no choice but to be whatever it's supposed to be. Yeah. Right? If you heat water to a certain temperature, it ain't got no choice but to boil. If you lower water to a certain temperature, it ain't got no choice but to freeze. You ain't gotta pray that it freeze. You ain't gotta do affirmations to make it freeze. You ain't gotta use no willpower to make it freeze. You don't even gotta know the temperature that it freeze at. I think water freeze at what, 32 degrees? But you don't gotta know that to freeze water. It boils at 212 degrees, but you don't gotta know that to boil water. So when you manifesting money, you don't know the exact degree that it gotta be to show up in your life, but if you just apply heat to it Eventually hits the right temperature and it has no choice to do but what law says that it has to do. You don't gotta know that it boils at 212 degrees and be in the kitchen going, 210, okay, do 13 more affirmations. 211, come on, keep doing the affirmations, keep going, keep going. 212. And guess what? Even when it hit 212, it don't instantly all boil out of the pot. Even when it hit the frequency that it needs to be at, it's still a process that has to unfold. Okay. Does that make sense? Your job is to keep— leave the pot on the stove. Don't try for— man, I tried it for a day, it didn't boil. Okay, apparently it takes longer than a day. Keep adding heat. Your job is to keep adding heat. Keep adding. If you just keep adding heat, one day you gonna walk in there and the water gonna be boiled. Now if you sit there and like— water boils pretty quick, but imagine if you put a water, a big pot of water On your stove, when you turned it on, and you say, "Okay, I'm gonna watch it till it start boiling." Hey, you ain't boiling yet. Let me move. Let me try another eye. Reset the process. Bro, it's been three minutes. This water still. Let me move back to this side. Maybe reset the process. Brown think this gonna work. And now you didn't, you didn't stop it. Imagine if you sat that same pot on that stove, turned it on, say, look, I'm gonna go ahead and do my morning routine. I'm gonna go wash my face, brush my teeth, comb my hair. Come, you come back in the kitchen, the dang water boiling. You ain't gotta sit there and, is, is the money in the account yet? Did I get the new client yet? Did I? Oh man, I'm not. Set the intention, sit in the energy, let it happen. It's not your job to make the water boil. It's your job to apply heat. Does that make sense? It's not your job to make the money show up in the account. In fact, when you look up the word manifest, the word manifest means to make obvious to the mind. So if I say I'm manifesting a million dollars, all that means is I'm making it obvious to my mind. That I'm that I have a million dollars. It doesn't mean that the money is in the account. It means that I made it obvious to my mind. Let's slow down. Let's break that down. Manifest does not mean make it happen. Manifest means make it obvious to my mind. Make it obvious to my nervous system. Get my endocrine system responding as if it's already happened. That's what manifest means. But a lot of times what people do is they'll manifest. I am a millionaire. I am a millionaire. I'm, I'm so full of crap. I got 10 fingers. I got 2 eyes that work. I got a brain. I got melanin. I got all it. They'll do the work of manifesting the million dollars and check their bank account and say, oh man, it's not there. And then they start manifesting. Oh man, it's not there. They have successfully manifested the million dollars. They have successfully put the pot on the stove, turned it on, and the water at some point was going to come to a boil. But they saw it wasn't boiling yet, and then they said, oh man, it's not working. Does that make sense? Manifesting is making it obvious to your mind. Once you make it obvious to your mind, leave it obvious to your mind. Now, if you just leave it obvious to your mind, you can accidentally get some new ideas. You're going to accidentally meet some new people. You're going to accidentally close some more sales. Your job is to keep it obvious to your mind, not to go to the bank account and say, oh man, it's not there. I knew it wasn't going to work. Now you manifesting that. It's like the example that I've been using. Imagine if a pregnant lady— imagine if a lady finds out she's pregnant and she goes in her home, picks out a room, paints that room, put together the crib, put all the toys, get everything situated for the baby. She walk in that room the very next day and she said, man, the baby not here. So she terminates the pregnancy. Well, no shit, man. The baby— no, the baby is not here yet. Don't confuse not here yet with not here. Don't confuse not here yet with not here. Does that make sense? When I was moving into my new office, my, um, degree, it fell and broke. I didn't have— I had ran out of nails, so I put it up with some, um, Command strips until I can make it to the store and get more nails. I walked in the office the next day, it was on the floor shattered. Did I become decertified because the degree shattered? Am I no longer who I am because the degree is gone? No. No, because the paper don't certify me. The paper is proof that I'm certified. I was certified, then I got the paper as a result of being certified. I didn't get the paper and then become certified. In fact, we had our graduation and everything. I don't think that paper came in the mail till 2 or 3 months later. It took them months to get me that paper. But the paper isn't what certifies me. It represents that I am certified. The same way with money. Money doesn't make me rich. Money is evidence that I am rich. I had to be rich and then the money showed up. I had to be certified, then the diploma showed up. When I work with athletes, I tell my athletes, you don't get a trophy and then become a champion. What happens is you become a champion. Now that you a champion, you're going to accidentally start showing up early and leaving late. Now that you a champion, you're going to accidentally start going to bed at a reasonable time. Now that you a champion, Coca-Cola, Sprite, I'm not drinking that. Give me some water. Put some electrolytes in there. Now that you a champion, you automatically saying less carbs, more protein. Now that you a champion, you gonna start behaving like a champion. Now if you just keep behaving like a champion, guess what else champions do? They collect trophies. They collect trophies. Does that make sense? If you need a trophy before you can be a champion, you will never be a champion. But if you become the type of person that become a champion before the trophy show up, It's in your nature to win trophies. You are a champion. So stop waiting on money, stop waiting on love, stop waiting on a promotion. Be that version of yourself right now. It's certain things that I do, certain things like certain people I work with, certain organizations that I work with. And even before there was physical proof, like physical evidence that it was happening, I was like, I'm doing it. That just feel like a— yeah, that feel like a good fit. I'm, I'm doing that. Yeah, that's for me. How you know? I, I don't know. I just feel it. That's for me. Next thing you know, stuff just connecting. Stuff don't even make sense, but it's not me making it happen. I just put the water on the boil and I'm up, bro. I don't care if it take 3 months to boil, 3 years to boil. I'm not taking that pot off that boiler. I mean, I'm not taking that pot off of that stove because the law says that that pot has to come to a boil when it gets hot enough. It has to. So your job is to just leave it on the eye. Don't take that pot off the eye. I don't care what they say on the news. Keep that pot on there. I don't care what you see on TikTok. Keep that pot on there. I don't care what they diagnose you with. Keep that pot on there. But that disease can't stop you. That diagnosis can't stop you. Depression can't stop you. None of that can stop you. You can focus on it while you stop, but make no mistake, that's not what stopped you. That's just what you was focusing on when you stopped. And I think we complete. That's a dope stopping point. I'm gonna upload this on YouTube if you want to rewatch it, if you want to, um, unpack this. It was some gems dropped in here. It was some stuff that could easily help you remember who you are, because the way I look at it, we don't teach anything. We just get in here and remember who we are. But as we remember who we are, oh man, we accidentally start getting excited. We accidentally start creating some really cool stuff. But, um, if you don't know how to get to the YouTube, check out the link in my bio. It'll take you to, um, all the— take you to all the stuff, man.
