Double bind is when you give somebody the illusion of choice. My daughter likes to use double binds when we go to the store. She'll get 2 toys that she— she get one toy that she really want and one toy that she don't want, but she make sure the one that she doesn't want is way more expensive than the one that she really want. So she go, Daddy, can I get this one or this one? This one's $29.99. This one's $89. And she sit there and wait. She use the power of silence.
