Jay Shaw explores why people feel stuck and can't move forward. Without a transcript or specific claims in the description, the video's exact argument remains unclear, but the title suggests it identifies a root cause others miss.

Like when people— whenever I hear people start to talk about manifesting things and manifesting, I start to instantly feel sorry for that person, man. If you don't step out of this trying to tell reality what to do and go build the identity— who would you be? What would your identity be if millions were already in the bank? What would your identity be if you already had everything in the garage that you want? What would your identity be if you had the life that you wanted? As you start to run that identity, guess what? That identity has access to ideas that the old identity didn't have That identity has access to confidence that the old identity didn't have access to. That identity shakes hands different. That identity walks into the room that people want to invest in that identity. People want to date that identity. People want to mentor that identity. People want to hang out with that identity. Whenever you're ready, whenever you're ready. I ain't going nowhere no time soon. You can be, do, and have anything you desire, but you got to be it first. You are a human being, and you got to understand that you're doing and you're having flow from your being, and your being flows from your identity. Think about it. When you be angry, you don't need willpower to stomp your feet, do you? When you be angry, you don't need willpower to stomp your voice— to raise your voice, do you? When you be angry, won't you accidentally slam the door? Like, you don't need willpower to do angry when you be angry. When you be successful, you won't need willpower to read books that successful people read. When you be successful, you won't need willpower to hang out in environments where other successful people hang out. When you be successful You accidentally start doing the things that successful people do. When you waiting on the bank account to make you successful, when you waiting on acknowledgement from other people to make you successful, you getting stuck because you waiting on the thing that's waiting on you. You waiting on the bank account, the bank account waiting on you. You waiting on the accolades and the applause, and the people with the accolade and applause waiting on you to give them a reason to clap. Like when you go live, oh man, Jay, I was, I was going live, coach, and I was, I had a bunch of stuff I want to share, but man, only 3 people showed up. Okay. More gonna show up if you go ahead and share the value that you— you waiting on the following to go up and the following waiting on you before it goes up. You have to go first. You are a leader. Does that make sense? Why? What are you waiting on? Well, Jay, when I get my stuff, when I get my new MacBook, I'm— bro, go. What are you talking about? It ain't nothing you can do on that MacBook that you can't do on that iPhone. Might be easier on MacBook. It might got more screen real estate on, on the MacBook, but it ain't nothing. That's an excuse. What are you waiting on? You're not a waiter, you are a creator. Does that make sense? You're not a waiter, you are a creator. Creators create, waiters wait. Creators create. You're not a waiter, you are a creator. You got to start creating. You got to start asking yourself, what do I want? This is step 1, by the way. You got to get to the root of what you want. Not what society says you should want, not what culture says you should want, not what your parents want for you. What do you want? Napoleon Hill calls it a burning desire. What do you want? What do you want? Identity work will have you walking differently. The shift in mindset is different when you focus on accidentally— I mean, I say accidentally, absolutely. Yeah, it's waiting on you. And as you like give it something to clap for, as you give it something to respond to, the bank account will— man, you'll be surprised how quickly it responds if you just get started. I work with a lot of athletes. The first conversation I always have with every athlete that I work with is you don't get a trophy and then become a champion. That's not how it works. You don't get the trophy and then become a champion. What happens is you become a champion. We get you running the belief architecture of champion. We get you running that internal dialogue of champion. We get you feeling the somatic feelings of champion. We get you having the expectation patterns of a champion. We get your temporal orientation to match that of a champion. As we get champion running inside of you, You'll accidentally practice more. You'll accidentally spend more time in the weight room. You'll accidentally start holding yourself to a higher standard. You'll accidentally start showing up to practice early and leaving practice late because that's what champions do. You'll accidentally win a trophy because that's what champions do. But if you're waiting on a trophy to give you the identity of champion, you'll never get the trophy. The identity precedes the result. You gotta be a champion before you can win a championship. Does that make sense? You gotta be a champion. Being happens inside of you. Being does not happen in your bank account. Being does not happen on your calendar. Being does not happen in your credit report. Being does not happen in your TikTok following. Being happens in your nervous system. Being happens in your endocrine system. Being happens in the way you use your reticular activation cells. Being is inside of you. Being is inside of you. You need that Rolodex of them athletes. They pay me a lot of money to not tell you their business though. They put— part of what they pay me for is to not tell you their business. So I can talk about it loosely, but I can't give you the specifics. That's part of what they pay for. You can be, do, and have anything you desire. Nothing can stop you except for you. Your only limit in life is your own imagination. It ain't, but this is you got to understand, so and this part of what keeps people stuck. They made out of the same stuff you made up. If you go look at their brain, you're not gonna see no extra pieces. You you're not you might find some extra belief in in their identity, some extra expectation, but they don't got they they just like you. They just like you. They just stopped waiting and stepped into it fully. It ain't nothing different about them. They're people with cool jobs. That's it. They are people with cool jobs. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. And it's that realization, like, I got everything I need already, that really gives you the confidence that you need to step in fully. What's going on, Jackie? How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. There is nothing you can't be. There is nothing you can't do. There is nothing you can't have. Identity. Identity, identity, identity. Like when you start to really break down identity, this is how I've been looking at it lately. This is the lens I've been looking at it through lately. When you look at the word identity, like let's really look at this word. Let's look at this word identity. Identity. Let's look at this word ID entity. ID entity. You see that? Identification entity. So when you think about your ID, put a 1 in the chat if you got an ID. You know that thing you carry in your pocket with your name on it, your address, your eye color, your height, your weight? You, you know, you know that thing that you carry around? That, that, that's, that's your identification. So we got your ID and we got your entity. You know what an entity is? The entity is spirit. An entity is what— like, this is not you. This isn't you. The real you animate this entity. Is spirit. Entity is source. Entity is what's going on inside. So you got your identification spirit. Identification spirit. Now I want you to imagine that this is the identification you carrying around. I want you to imagine what your life might look like if this is the identification you're struggling that you're carrying around. Look at that identification. A struggling artist issued by childhood experiences, authorized by repetition and emotion. How successful can you be if that's the identity you're carrying around? If that's the ID you're carrying around, why would you be surprised if the bank account is empty? Why would you be surprised if you're struggling if that's the identity that you walking around with? Because life gonna pull you over several times a day. When a cop pulls you over, what they gonna ask for? License and registration. They want to see your ID and your registration. If that's the ID that you hand in life every time you get pulled over, what do you expect life to look like? Okay, let's look at the back of it. If that's the back of the— of your, of your, your ID that you carrying around, belief system: I'm never enough. Emotional home address, anxiety. Default thoughts, they'll judge me. Don't get your hopes up. Stay safe. Relationship clearance attracts emotionally unavailable people. Confidence rating, 17%. Risk tolerance, low. If that's the identity you're carrying around, how could you expect to be successful? How could you expect to be successful if that's the identity you carrying around? Well, Jay, I'm trying so hard. I'm using willpower, bro. I never said you was lazy. I said you had identity work to do. I've never met a lazy person. I'm gonna be honest with you. I've never met a person that wasn't consistent. I've never met a person that wasn't confident. It might be pointed in the wrong direction. Like, it blows my mind. People say, Jay, I just struggle with consistency. First thing come to my mind, bullshit. You doing something consistently. It might be Netflix, it might be TikTok, it might be eating a certain way, it might be sleeping. You doing something consistent. Jay, I struggle with confidence. Ah, bullshit. You confident in something. Right now it sound like you confident in your failure. Right now it sound like you confident in playing small. But I promise you, you confident in something. You doing something consistently. Let me see that ID. Pull out your ID. Now imagine you put that ID down and you pick this ID up. You put that ID down and you pick this ID up. Now you identify as the creator. Issued by conscious choice, authorized by self-awareness and discipline. Like, let's look at these two IDs side by side. Appreciate you, Lala. Let's look at these two IDs side by side. Move back, Luke. Let me—I need that. We're gonna put this one right here, and we're gonna put this one right here. Can't we see how these two people will accidentally make two different decisions? Like, think about it. The struggling artist can use ChatGPT. The creator Creator can also use ChatGPT, but the struggling artist gonna ask ChatGPT things that the creator would never ask, and the creator gonna ask ChatGPT things that the struggling artist would never ask. The struggling artist gonna get on ChatGPT and ask, why aren't people buying my art? How can I get— how can I convince people to buy my art? The creator gonna say, creative ways to market my art. Like, the question— they gonna be using the same tools, but the way they use the same tools will be different based on who they see theyself as being. Put a one in the chat. Is this making sense? This is the power of identity. This is the pro— this is the power of your identification entity. A lot of people just throw the word identity around, man. Identity is the doorway to everything you want. If you stop trying to manifest things and start manifesting identity, oh man, you'll be surprised how the things start to chase you. You'll be surprised how the money starts to chase you. I was laughing at my son the other day. My son, he was in the garage, uh, just in there looking like real puzzled, looking real complex. I say, Ralph, what are you doing, man? I'm trying to figure out if we should drive the Range Rover or the Tesla or the BMW. Choices, choices. So I go, dude, you crazy. But that's what happens when you get the— I didn't— when you stop chasing things and say, who would I be if I already had the thing? I say, son, that's the hardest choice you got to make today. You got it. You got a real good life, son. Yeah, you got you got a real good good life. So that's the hardest choice you got to make today. But that's what happens when you stop chasing the thing. Which one of these cards would I be carrying if I already had the things? Which one of these cards would I be carrying if I already had the thing? Because guess what? You got to change this card before you change your life. And what people screw up is they want to change their life, then change the card. No, you got to change your identification before you change the card. I mean, before you change your life, you got to change how you identify yourself. Because just like a police will pull you over, just like when you go try to buy some alcohol, they ask to see your ID. It's certain things in life that every time you ask for them, life is gonna ask to see your ID. And if you hand it this ID It's gonna say access denied. If you handed this ID, it'll— it's times where it will apologize you for— it will apologize for pulling you over. I'm sorry, Mr. Shaw, man, I didn't even realize. Oh, hey, you have a nice day. You be safe, okay? It's a nice visual, huh, Jasmine? It came to me the other day when I was on meditating. I said, hold on a second. But does this make sense, guys? Carrying around this identity and thinking affirmations gonna make the money show up in your account is insane. The crazy part, if you don't even— what if I told you you never have to do another affirmation in your life? What if I told you you never had to make another vision board in your life? Get the identity and put the identity in the freezer. Get the identity and put the identity in the free— Coach, what do you mean by put it in the freezer? Think about it. When you put a cup of water in the freezer, You don't gotta hope it freeze. You don't gotta pray that it freeze. You don't gotta put no ice cubes on your vision board. You don't gotta get your notebook and write, I'm so thankful and grateful that the water is frozen, and now that the water is frozen, I'm expressing my highest. You don't gotta do none of that. Why? Because you trust the freezer. You trust the free— you put the cup in the freezer and you walk off, and you know when you come back it's gonna be ice in there. When you sit down to boil some water, when you get a pot of water, you put it on the stove and you turn it on and you boil it. You don't gotta hope it boil. You don't gotta pray that it boil. You don't gotta You don't gotta do no affirmations for it to boil, no incantations, no affirmations. You don't gotta do no scripting. Now that the water is boiling and I can have my dinner, you don't gotta do none of that. Why? Because you trust the oven to do its job. You trust the stove to do its job. Build the identity and let the identity do the work. A lot of my mentors became my mentees because I stopped waiting on my bank account. I started saying, what would my identity be if I already had the money? What would my identity be if I was already the number one hypnotist and all the other hypnotists knew it? What would I be? Who would I be if I was the hypnotist that other hypnotists called when they got stuck? Who would I be if I was the hypnotist that professional athletes turned to? If I was the hypnotist that artists and musicians turned to when they want to develop stage presence? Who would I be if politicians were reaching out to work with me? Who would I be if that was already my reality? What would I believe? What would I expect? What would I pay attention to? What would I completely ignore? What would I over— who would I be if I already had? Who would I be if I already— that's the question that I want you to ask yourself. But before you ask that question, I do need you to figure out what do you want? What do you want? Most people think that their problem is inconsistency and lazy and all this other— most people's biggest problem is they don't know what they want. They know a list of things that they're willing to do to get away from what they don't want, but that's not the same thing as knowing what you want. You got to know what you want, not what society says you should have, not what the culture says you should, not what your parents want for you, not what other people expect that, but what do you want? Does that make sense? What do you want? And let me give you some hints: you don't want to go to the gym. You willing to go to the gym to get what you want, but going to the gym is not what you want. You— it's the pathway. It's one of the things on the pathway to what you want, but it's not what you want. You don't want to go back to school. But Jay, I do want to go. No, you don't. It's some things that you want and you know you got to go back to school to get it, but that's not what you want. We got to start at the core of what do you want. You got a conscious mind, you got a subconscious mind, and your conscious mind, that base of the mind, the 98% of your thinking potential, it runs off of feeling and emotion. It runs off of feeling and emotion. It is very disrespectful to logic. It is very disrespectful to your analysis and your will. It runs off of feeling and emotion, okay? And all of the feeling, all of the emotion is in what you really want. The emotion— like, if you're not a person who's actively going to the gym, the emotions around going to the gym not gonna get you started. They're going to paralyze you. You got to figure out what do you want. I'm gonna really paint this picture. I'm gonna stretch it out. Okay, so a few months back, a guy came into my office and said, hey, Jay— this is a guy I had helped him quit smoking about 2 years ago, and he got some new goals. So he came back, he said, Jay, I need you to hypnotize me to go to the gym 3 times a week. I said, okay, that's easy. What do you want? He said, I just told you, I want to go to the gym 3 times a week. I said, that's not what you want. That's what you— I don't got to hypnotize you to do things you want to do. I got to hypnotize you to do things you know you should do, but you don't feel like doing. So again, what do you want? He goes, Jay, my doctor said— I don't, I don't care what your doctor said. You was there when he said it. So if that was gonna move the needle, you would be at the gym instead of in my office. So that couldn't be what I'm looking for. What do you want? Well, Jay, my wife said that my cholesterol— I don't, I don't care what your wife said. I got my own wife. My own wife talk enough. Now you telling me— I don't care what your wife said. What do, what do you want? We played this game for about 20 minutes. He goes, Jay, can I be honest with you? I say, "Please do, man. You got forty minutes left. Like, spit it out so we can get you doing what you want to do." He goes, "Jay, man, I'm forty-four, and if I'm being honest, man, my my erections not as hard as they used to be." Okay, ding ding ding ding ding. That's what you want. You want rock hard erections. Do you see the difference between I want to go to the gym and I want rock hard erections? You see the emotional charge behind rock hard erections in gym. I'm gonna use that emotional charge from the thing that you really want. That's gonna be my leverage to get you in the gym, because the subconscious mind is not gonna make you go to the gym just because you should. The subconscious mind don't really care about what you should do. Does that make sense? The subconscious mind does not care about your cholesterol. The subconscious mind does not care about your A1C and your glucose levels. Your subconscious mind doesn't even care about a million dollars. Your subconscious mind does not care about money. Your subconscious mind don't care if you drive a beater or a Bentley. It, it really doesn't care. Your subconscious mind don't care if you live in a 1-bedroom apartment or a 6-bedroom house. It doesn't care about— it runs off of feelings and emotion. It runs off of feeling and emotion. So after I figure out what he really wants, my very next question is, how would you feel if you already had it? So how— I'm asking him, how would you feel if you already had rock hard erections? He go, huh? I say, huh? How would you feel if you already had rock-hard erections? And he sat there because he waiting on me to just go to the next. It ain't no next step until we answer that question. So finally he go, man, I feel powerful. I feel energetic. I feel like I had stamina. I feel like I was in my prime again. I feel like I could satisfy my wife. I say, keep going. He said, man, I feel like that guy. I feel like I can go rounds in the in in in the bedroom. And now he's starting to get. Animated. Now, now that's— now I know that I got his subconscious mind attention. No pocket watch, no you're getting sleepy, just feeling any emotion. Now we got the subconscious mind wide open. My job is to hypnotize the shit out of him and get him to feel energetic, get him to feel like a man amongst men, get him to feel like he's in his prime, get him to feel like he got stamina. Now let me ask you a question. After I got him feeling like he got stamina, after I get him feeling like he's in his prime, act like get him feeling like he's the type of man that can satisfy his wife and do it over and over again, if that's what he desires to be, if that's what he desires to do, how easy do you think it's gonna be for me to get him to go to the gym? It's not gonna take very much willpower to get a man who feels energetic, who feels like he's in his prime, who feels like he has energy. It's gonna be very easy to get that man to go to the gym. Would you agree? But if I'm talking to a man who feels less than a man, who feels low energy, who feels like he can't even satisfy his wife, You're not gonna get that man to go to the gym. I don't gotta make him go to the gym. I gotta make him feel different, then he'll make himself go to the gym. When somebody— Jay, can you hypnotize me to quit smoking? Guess what I heard? Jay, can you build me the identity of a nonsmoker? I don't gotta make you quit smoking. I gotta make you feel like a nonsmoker. Offer a cigarette to somebody who feels like a nonsmoker and watch how they accidentally curse you out. Hell no, I don't want no fucking counselor, man. What the wrong— what's wrong with you? Ask somebody who doesn't smoke, can you light a cigarette in their car? And watch how they accidentally look at you like you the stupidest person on earth. I don't gotta make you quit smoking. I gotta make you think like a nonsmoker. I gotta make you believe like a nonsmoker. I gotta make you expect like a nonsmoker. You'll accidentally put the cigarette down when you feel like a nonsmoker. You know why you don't want to lick a— you know why you don't need willpower to not lick a toilet seat? Because of the images that come to your mind when you think about licking the toilet seat. Because of the feelings that happen in your body when you Think about licking a. You don't got to try to ball your face up at the thought of licking a toilet seat. Lick a lick a toilet. Why? I got to make you feel that way about cigarettes. It's not about like you got to stop trying to control behavior. You don't control behavior. Behavior doesn't show up out of thin air. Something happens before the behavior. We don't work on the behavior. We work on what happens before the behavior. And this card that you carrying around. This card that you carrying around, if that's the card that you carrying around, you don't got to change your behavior. You got to put that card down and pick this card up. Identity. Look at, look at the word identity. I-D entity. Look at it. What is your identification entity? This is why I get on here and talk about identity every— I don't care about your behavior. When I was carrying around the card of boxer, when I saw myself as a boxer, when I felt like a boxer, when my friends were boxers, when the men that I looked up to were my boxing coach, I didn't have to use willpower to go to the gym. I was accidentally spending 5 or 6 hours a day in the gym. I was accidentally waking up every morning and going jogging 4 or 5 miles. I didn't give a damn if it was hot. I didn't care if it was raining. When my wife had went back to work and I, I was on the night shift, so I would have my daughter in the morning. She said, baby, how you gonna do your workout? I'm gonna take Rowley running with me. I already got Amazon. I bought a jogging stroller. It'll be here tomorrow. Like, when I— when you are running the identity of professional athlete, you don't need willpower to go to the gym. Like, Jay, how do you wake up and go live every day? The card that I'm carrying gives me no choice. And this is the difference between running off of willpower and identity. This is the difference between willpower and identity. When you look at a high performer, when you look at somebody like Kobe Bryant, you got to understand that man was not running off of willpower. That man was not running off of identity. That man—I mean—that man was running off of identity. He wasn't running off of willpower. He wasn't running off of affirmations. I guarantee you that he wasn't. He was running off of identity. You want me to paint you a picture of the difference between willpower and identity? Let me paint you a picture of it. Willpower is someone setting an alarm and using willpower to go to the gym at 4 AM. I gotta get up. Okay, all right, I'm gonna do it. Let me, let me, let me get myself together. Identity is staying in bed feels like suffocating. Staying in bed feels like letting my teammates down. Staying in bed feels like letting Laker fans all over the world, all over the world— staying in bed feels like giving my competition a leg up on me. And why the hell would I do You see the difference? One of those people gotta go to the gym. One of those people get to go to the gym. You do? You see the difference in identity versus willpower? Yep. Book.icoachbosses.com. That's where you grab the free ebook at. You see the difference in that? Imagine if you're a fellow hypnotist or some type of coach of some sort, and you get up and go live every morning because you gotta go live because it's beneficial to your bit. I get up and go live every morning because this identity that I'm carrying around, I get I get so excited about reminding people who the hell they are. The identity that I'm carrying around, like, all throughout my day, once people say something, it's just a part of me going, hey, can I hypnotize you? Can I make a shift? Because I see what's keeping you stuck. And what's keeping you stuck ain't even the thing that you think. You think you got a procrastination problem, the whole time you got an identity problem. You think you got a confidence problem, and the whole time you got an identity problem. You think your problem is with public speaking, and the whole time you got an identity problem. Can I Can I, can I coach you? Oh, my identity is dying to coach you. Can I, can I pour into you? Can I shift your life? Can I? Because bro, I'm telling you, one shift in 30 days and your life will look different. If you going live because you got to, I'm going live because what the fuck else would I be doing? Pardon my French, but it's— I said it now. Like, do you see the difference in identity versus willpower? Willpower is a scam. It doesn't work. I'm not gonna say it doesn't work, but willpower is not designed to be the center of your self-development strategy. Let's talk about Willpower is not designed to be the center of your self-development strategy. Okay, willpower is finite. First off, your willpower at 9 AM is not your willpower at 2 PM. Your willpower at 2 PM is not your willpower at 7 PM. Willpower is based largely on how much protein you got in your body right now and how much sleep you got last night. Do me a favor, put a 1 in the chat if you stayed up past 12 AM last night. Put a one in the chat if you stayed up past 12 a.m. last night. There we go. Put the two in the chat if you haven't had any protein today. Ah, Jay, I don't really do breakfast, man. I usually grab some around one or two. Jay, why do I crash every day around three? Okay, so that right there lets me know willpower. No, relying on willpower with these numbers that's in chat, you're asking to fail. You would never consciously ask to fail, but relying on willpower subconsciously, you're asking to fail. This is how I break it down to my clients. You don't use willpower to change your, your habits. You use willpower to change your mind. You don't use willpower to make yourself do hard things. You use willpower to wire your mind in a way where you can't help but Do those things. That little bit of willpower you got, you don't use to make yourself do the thing. You use it to get something going in here that don't give you no choice but to do the thing. Do you see the shift? Motivation is a scam. Motivation is a scam. Motivation is sugar. It spikes and it's gone. That's why you can watch every video on YouTube. You be motivated for all the 30 minutes, then you go right back to the old because motivation is is not it can't be the center of your success strategy. It comes and it goes. That's why we work on identity. Identity—you got identity on your best day. You got identity on your worst day. On the best day of your life, if you pulled your driver's license out and looked at it, if you pulled your ID out of your pocket and looked at it, it's at the same address. It's at the same name. It's at the same height. It's at the same weight. On your worst day, if you pull that ID out and look at it, it's gonna have the same name. It's gonna have the same. The information don't change in your ID based on how the day is going. So if this is the ID that you're carrying around, it don't matter who the president is because look at my ID. It don't matter what the economy doing, look at my ID. It don't matter if 100 people tell me no today, look at my ID. Circumstances don't change what's on your ID. Does that make sense? Jay, my mom don't believe in me. What's in your ID? Because if this ID you carrying around, you, you, you don't need her to believe in you because you believe in you. Now, if you carrying around— where is it? Give me a second. Where is it at? If you carrying around this ID, yeah, it hurt your feelings when they didn't believe in you because you already didn't believe in you. Now you got somebody else reinforcing it. But if this is the ID I'm carrying around, if this is the idea— okay, AJ, I can't be hypnotized, bro. If you want me to convince you, you're gonna get an invoice first. I don't Yeah, yeah. Now when I was carrying around that ID, yeah, I had to prove to you you could be hypnotized. But now that I'm carrying this ID, bro, if you can't be hypnotized, that's way more your problem than my problem. I hypnotize me every day. I got people on my schedule to get hypnotized weekly and they're thriving. So that like you got to work on the identity, identity, identity, identity. Put a one in the chat if this stuff making sense. Put a one in the chat if you're getting some stuff that's useful that you can apply today, not tomorrow, not today after tomorrow, but today. If willpower, if motivation and affirmations has been the center of your success strategy, it's time. It's time to upgrade identity. Who would I be? What what is the ID I would be carrying around if I already had everything I desired? Forget about willpower. Forget about motivation. Forget about affirmation. You never got to do another affirmation in your life unless you just want to. Coach J, what's wrong with affirmations? Let me tell you what's wrong with affirmations. I've never seen anybody affirm anything that they already believe is en route. I only see people affirming things that they don't believe is en route. I've never seen anybody affirming something that they already know 100% is on the way. I've never seen anybody put a cup of water in the freezer and say, I'm so thankful that the water is freezing. I'm so thankful that the water— I've never seen anybody put a pot on the stove, turn it on, and say, I'm so thankful that the water is boiling. I only see people affirming things that they would like to happen but they don't believe are happening. Like, think about it. When do you do money affirmations? When you feel like the money isn't there. When you feel like things aren't working. When do you do affirmations around the relationship? When you laying in bed by yourself. When you're not feeling the way that you like to think about it. And what happens in those states is the mouth is affirming, but the nervous system is very much in a state of not having. So you got this split that's saying, let me do my affirmations so I can get this money that I don't have. Let me do my affirmations so I can get this relationship that I don't have. So your, your, your, your words are affirming, but you're in a state of not having. That's not what we, that's not what we do here. Now, if you wanna affirm, let me tell you how you affirm. You, you affirm through behavior. One of the things that I always tell my clients, one of the things that I preach in night school, the strongest form of affirmation is behavior. The strongest form of affirmation is behavior. Okay, so instead of me saying, "I am abundant. I am wealthy. I am abundant. I am." I'm gonna pick up this phone and I'm gonna Apple Pay my little sister ten dollars. I'm gonna say, "Hey sis, coffee on big on big bro this morning." My subconscious mind, which is my feminine mind, which is always watching, notices every every shift in my my subconscious mind. Say, "Wait, we got money to give away." I'm gonna say, "Yeah, we got money to give away." My subconscious mind goes, "Oh, we must be a." Yeah, you got it. We must be abundant. Keep watching. Keep watching. When I sit down to pay my bills, I'm gonna put an extra five or six dollars on every bill. Okay, I'm gonna put my subconscious mind, my feminine mind is why I just say wait a minute. TXU owes us company. AT&T I mean owes us money. AT&T owes us money. Wait, all these big corporations. Oh yeah, they owe us money. We must we must be abundant. Keep watching. My grandmother used always say I could show you better than I could tell you. That's how I want you to start treating your subconscious mind. Now, Coach Jay did not say go buy a bag that you can't afford, go buy a car that you can't— that's not what Coach Jay said. Coach Jay said start from where you are and start finding small ways to show your subconscious mind who you are. Because what you got to understand about the subconscious mind is anything you give it, it's gonna multiply. If you give your subconscious mind a drop of doubt, it's gonna hand you back a gallon of doubt. If you give your subconscious mind a drop of confidence, it's gonna hand you back a gallon of confidence. So somebody might hear me say I cash out my, I cash out my little sister $10. They say it's only $10. Now to my subconscious mind, think about it. Put a 1 in the chat if you ever played Monopoly. Put a 1 in the chat if you have ever played Monopoly. There we go. We got some Monopoly players in here. Okay, so even though the money in Monopoly, you can't spend it at Target, you can't spend it at Walmart, You can't, you can't spend it anywhere. Doesn't it still feel good when somebody land on your property and they got to pay you money? Don't you get excited when somebody land on your property? Don't you go when you land on somebody else? Don't it still change the way you feel even though it's not real money? So if $1,500 of play currency can alter how you feel, you don't think $10 of real currency can? You crazy. You don't understand how the subconscious mind work if you don't, if you don't think so. You start finding ways to show your subconscious mind who you are. Is that considered affirmation? It can be, but my favorite form of affirmation is behavior. Now, it's a difference, Adrian. If writing— if you writing because you like the way you feel when you write, if you writing because you like the state that writing puts you into, that's different. But if you're writing to get this thing that you don't have, that's sending the wrong signal to your subconscious mind. Does that make sense? Some people are writers. Some people just enjoy writing. Some people just love the feeling of the thoughts entering their mind, coming through their body, and coming out of their hand. So writing would be very powerful for that part. But if you're writing because you think the only way for me to get this thing is for me to write it 3 times in the morning, then 6 times in the middle of the day, and 9 things at the end, then you might as well stop writing and go do something else. Does that make sense? Because remember, in my teachings, we're not manifesting things, we're manifesting identity. Everything that I do is about changing what's going on. Inside of me. Now, the way that I explain it to my clients is when we're when we're changing you. Since was made. I'm still in it. I like that. I might put that on a hat. So you better be careful here. This entrepreneur brain see everything as a money move. Since was made. It's gonna be a hat coming real soon. So I like that. Since was made. Since was made. Since was made. Okay. Anyway, what was I saying? Dang. What was I saying? Y'all gotta help me out. Yo. Anyway, if it's your first time in here, I'm Coach Jay. I'm a clinically trained hypnotherapist. I work with athletes. Entrepreneurs, executives, founders, day traders, MMA fighters, you name it. I'm a big believer that your only limit in life is your own imagination. If your, your big— your only limit in life is your own imagination. If you start using your imagination on purpose, you will accidentally accomplish some really cool stuff. If you start building your identity on purpose, stop chasing things, stop chasing people, stop chasing money, and start building your identity. Start asking yourself Who would you be? Who would you be if you already had it? Because the thing about is your behavior follows your being. You only need willpower when you're going against who you be. When you're acting in alignment with who you be, you you all of a sudden just don't need willpower. Somebody said, Coach, I don't I don't think that's true. Let me ask you something: When you be angry, when you be angry. When you be pissed off, do you have to try to stomp your feet? Do you need willpower to stomp your feet, or do you need willpower not to stomp your feet when you be pissed off? Yeah, I still— I do handwriting assessments with every identity diagnostic. So when you be angry, do you need willpower to raise your voice, or do you need willpower to not raise your voice? When you be angry, do you need willpower to slam the door, or do you need willpower To, I mean, do you need willpower to slam the door or do you need willpower to not slam the door? It, I be all right. It's the do. I'm confused about if you, when you be, the doing gonna find you doing the crazy. What screws a lot of people up is doing is not your job. Doing it like when we get into the 5 C's, we don't even talk about doing until step 4. Steps 1, 2, and 3, clarity, calibration, and confidence. You'll accidentally do though. Let me give you an example. Let's say I start doing a giveaway on TikTok, so I just need to let go of some of the stuff. You need to let stuff find you because like this is usually what happens. So you got to understand, the version of you that broke it is not the version of you that's gonna fix it. The version of you that screwed up the credit is not the version of you that's gonna get the credit back on track. The version of you that ran the business into the ground is not the version of you that's magically gonna show up and ruin the business. So what a lot of people will do is they'll let the same version of them break it. The same version of them that broke it, they try to use that same version of them to create a strategy. That version of you don't know what they doing. They already showed you that. So before we even start designing a new strategy, before we even trying to— what do I do now? Hold on. You don't want this version of you deciding what to do now. This version of you done already showed you where it's going to lead you. So let's put the action to the side. Let's go in here and reprogram. Let's build a new idea. Like, think about it. I mean, let's go back to— I love this visual because it works. Okay, so if this guy came to me, and I got this, I got this idea from a real artist I was working with, one of my clients. He came, very talented artist. This man will take a clothes hanger and make like art out, like art out of the clothes hanger. And in like 2 minutes, he'll take a clothes hanger and he'll create a mother walking her daughter to school. And you can see that's the mom, that's That's the daughter. You know the daughter is going to school because you see the book bag. Like, he would take a clothes hanger and do that, and it took him like two minutes. Okay, and he showed Jay nobody is buying my art. Like, I make all this beautiful stuff, and nobody wants to. Nobody wants to buy it. So I went back to school. I think maybe if I get my actual degree, people will invest because I'm a self-taught artist, Jay. So I'm going to school, and I'm doing all these other things. Jay, I'm networking, and I'm doing. I know, but every time reality acts to see your ID, it sees a struggling artist. Like, within minutes of talking to him, I'm going, your problem is definitely not your talent. Your problem is you identify as a struggling artist. So our work was not about making him a better artist. I couldn't make the dude a better— if he was any better of an artist, he would be completely out of this world. It wasn't about making him a better artist. It was about getting him to put that card down and pick this card up. We had to change his identity. We didn't have to change his talent. We had to change his identity. We didn't have to change the city he lived in. We had to change his identity. We didn't have to— he didn't— in this, in his sense, he didn't have to go back to school and get a degree. He had to change his identity because he could have went back to school and got the degree, but if he was still carrying this card, the degree wasn't gonna move. No, it was gonna create more debt for him. It's gonna create more problems. But it wasn't a problem out there. It was always a problem in here? We changed his identity. We changed his identity. So does that make sense? You don't want the person with this card in their pocket, with this card in their purse, with this card in their wallet— you don't want that person making the strategy because that strategy is gonna get you where you at. So you gotta put that card down And you gotta pick this card up. But if school helps create it, then it's a good step. But what you gotta understand is school not gonna take this, this ID outta your pocket. Only you can take the ID outta your pocket. You, you, you, you could, you could divorce your spouse, fire all your friends, and move to a new state and start completely over. But if you take this card with you, you finna get ready to create a similar life. But you can stay exactly where you at. Put that card down, pick this card up, and you're gonna accidentally fire the people who don't— who not serving you. You're gonna accidentally break up with the people who don't align with it. You're gonna accidentally get the people out of your life that was only there because you had this card right here and they identified with Does that make sense? The problem and what people do instead of like changing the card, they gonna do more affirmations. They gonna use more motivation. They gonna look for more willpower. Listen, you don't got a willpower problem. You don't got a motivation problem. You don't got an affirmation problem. You carrying around a card that don't say, that don't serve you. You're carrying around an identification that don't serve you. And if we working on anything other than that identification, We working on the wrong thing. Now there is a time, definitely a time and place to go to school. I've spent a lot of time in classrooms. There's a time and place to go to the gym. There's a time and place to eat different. But step one is we got to change that card. Does that make sense? I'm sorry I keep asking y'all, does that make sense? But I really want to make sure I want to make sure y'all getting this stuff, man. This stuff will change your life on accident, not on purpose, on accident. I don't want you using willpower to change your life because you weren't using willpower to fail. You weren't using willpower to play small. You weren't using willpower to second-guess yourself. You weren't using willpower to undercharge. I want you accidentally winning the same day, the same way you was accidentally losing. I want you accidentally rolling your shoulders back, putting your chest down, and putting your chin up the same way you was accidentally slouching over and letting people play in your face. Faith face. You could be doing have anything you desire. Nothing can stop you except for you. But the work is identity, identity, identity, identity. As you shift your identity, you will work. You will walk in the rooms that you've been in before and see things that you didn't know. That's been there the entire time. They say yeah, that's always been there. Old identity couldn't see it though. As you shift your identity, you will read books that you've read before. You will watch documentaries that you watched before. You will hear things that you that you didn't hear last. That was in the last. How did I miss that? Your identity wouldn't let you see it. You can upgrade your identity and show up in the same economy that you've been suffering in, and you're gonna see things. You're gonna notice things. You're gonna expect things that oh you didn't expect. And when you change what you expect, when you change what you believe, when you change the internal dialogue, oh man, you change your energetic signature. So now you attracting opportunity. Now people want to work with you. People want to invest in you. People want to date you. People want to be your friend. Does that, does that make sense? You gotta build the identity. So Coach Jay, how do I build identity? Okay, let's do it. First thing you gotta do is you gotta figure out what do you want. That's step one. Well, let's go through the 5 C's first and we'll get into the 12 dimensions after. What time is it? 9:53. Okay, I got a little bit of time. All right, so y'all put 1 C in the chat. 1 C. What's the first C? In the chat. We're gonna go through something called the 5 C's. Coach Jay, what's the 5 C's? The 5 C's is my success formula that I came up with. I didn't come up with it, I discovered it maybe about 8 years ago. I discovered it because I was in a, I was in a chapter of my life where I was jealous of my clients. I couldn't say it out loud back then, but looking back, I was definitely jealous of those people. I was jealous of those people because they were coming in and through use of my gifts and talents, they were changing their lives quickly. People were coming into my office smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day and leave out as nonsmokers. I had people who would come into my practice as 6-figure earners and leave out as 7-figure earners. I had people who would come into my office and they would have these identity issues that were ruining their, their business relationships and ruining their marriages. They spent about 6 weeks with Coach Jay. We rerouted the identity. Their marriage is better than it's ever been. Their business is thriving. And Coach Jay was going through a divorce. I was making more money than I had ever made before, but I was going through a divorce. And I just felt like with my skill set, with everything that I know, With everything that I was doing with other people, I should have been able to make this thing work, and that didn't sit right with me. So what I did is I started reverse engineering my most successful clients, and I started looking at exactly what did we do to help them get their success. And what I discovered is it was 5 things that we always did, always in this same specific order. And I was ruthless about the order. I'm still ruthless about the order. I'm very ruthless about this order. But these are what we now refer to as the 5 C's. So the first C was clarity. Y'all put clarity in the One of the things that I realized is people never showed up to my office with clarity about what they wanted. They always showed up with clarity about what they didn't want. I don't want to smoke. I don't want to bite my nails. I don't want to be nervous. I don't want to be anxious. I don't want to procrastinate. They had all the clarity about what they didn't want, but they had very little clarity about what they wanted. So as I was reverse engineering how I— how we help these people get these results, first thing I realized is I always force them to get clear about what they want, and I don't take like no half-baked affirmation sounding out. Like no, I want you to get crystal clear about what you want. And I started to like look at myself like a taxi driver. I pull up to pick these people up, and they get in the taxi, and they say, "Don't take me to the mall." And I said, "Hold on. I don't know how to not take you to the. I can't not take you to the mall. Where do you want to go?" Jay, I hate the mall. It's too expensive. It's too many people. Listen, I understand you hate the mall, and I'm not— my goal is not to make you like the mall, but where do you want to go? I'm not trying to talk you into going to the mall, but I don't know how to not take you to the mall. So where do you want to go? That was always the first step in my process— help them get crystal clear on what they want. Because how are you supposed to hit a target that doesn't exist? Is this stuff making sense? Put a 1 in the chat. Uh, something is draining my computer. It's dying quicker than it's charged, and I'm not sure why. Give me a second. Let me close out some stuff. Let me close out some stuff. Is it laggy on you guys' end? Because it's laggy on my end. All right, I think we're getting a little better. Put a put a one in the chat if we good. It's lagged a few times. Is it better now? Not anymore. Okay, I think we got the resource load down. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. All right, so everybody understanding clarity? Say yes. Clarity. You can't get what you want till you know what you want. Knowing what you don't want is not the same thing as knowing what you want. Not wanting to go out of business is not the same thing as wanting to build a thriving business that withstands the test of time that you can one day pass down to your children. Knowing that you don't want to get divorced is not the same thing as wanting to build a thriving marriage that grows with time, that picks up momentum with time. So first step one is always we got to figure out what do we want, not what I don't. Jay, I hate my job. Jay, it's just not enough hours in a day. Nobody in my house helps me. I'm stretched thin. Cool. What do you want? Okay. After we figure out what you want, our second step is we figure out how would you feel if you already had it? So you figure out what you want, what you really want, and then we figure out how you would feel if you already had it. After we figure that out, we move to step 2, which is calibration. Y'all put calibration in the chat and y'all might want to step up on those taps because once we hit 20K taps, we get a discount on our identity diagnosis. Once we hit 40K taps, we give an even bigger discount on our identity diagnostic. I don't think people— I don't think I gave out no discounts last week because people was lazy on the taps. I just let everybody pay full price for it. I never, I never got an objection to more money. So we get clear about what we want, we figure out how we would feel if we already had it, then we start to calibrate. That's the second C, calibration. Coach Jay, what's calibration? Putting your attention on When you calibrate to a funny movie, you don't got to try to laugh, just calibrate to the movie. When you calibrate to a sad movie, you don't got to try to get sad, just calibrate to the movie. If you calibrate to an action movie, you don't got to try to scoot to the edge of your seat, just calibrate to the movie. Does that make sense? If it's somebody in your life that you are attracted to and you look at them and say, oh man, that person is such a— you don't got to try to get aroused, just calibrate to that attractive person. It's the same way when you figure out what you want and you figure out how you would feel if you already had it, and you start calibrating to those feelings, you start paying attention to those feelings, you start noticing those feelings. Oh man, you'll accidentally start moving in that direction. So we keep calibrating. We calibrate over and over and over and over and over and over again. This is where I hypnotize the shit out of people. This is where I hypnotize the shit out of people. I type it in on Google. I'm not seeing it. No, don't type it on Google. Just type book.icoachbosses.com. It'll take it'll take you right there. But we keep calibrating until our nervous system starts to maintain the calibration for us. That's what I call confidence. That's what I call confidence. Confidence is what happens when we have ran that calibration so many times that it's now our personality. Confidence is not your job. Confidence is the nervous system job. The book is out. Not the book book. The book book is still being published, but the ebook is. The ebook has been out. Book affirmations is in its second round of edits. We getting stuff cleaned up. It'll be out soon. It will be out soon. So let me explain to you the superpower of being clear, calibrated, and confident. Okay? I know what I want. I know how I would feel if I had it, and I'm calibrating to what I want. I'm calibrating over and over and over again to what I want. I've calibrated so many times that my nervous system is maintaining this calibration for me. My confidence is coming from inside, it's not coming from out there. So I was looking at some of my TikTok data yesterday, day before yesterday, and I didn't even notice it because I'm not calibrated— I'm not calibrated to these numbers at the top. I'm calibrated to what I'm doing. But TikTok has cut my traffic by about a— but like, I'm getting a quarter of the traffic that I was getting 3 months ago. I'm getting a quarter of the traffic that I was getting 3 months ago. And this, this has been happening for the past 90 days. But I'm not clear, calibrated, and confident in those numbers up there. I'm clear, calibrated, and confident in what I'm building. And because I'm clear, calibrated, and confident what I'm building right now, it's only 24 people in here. Here. 3 months ago, it would have been at least 100 people in here. I don't, I don't care. My confidence isn't in that number. My confidence is in my calibration. And because my confidence is in that number, I'm gonna talk to all 24 of y'all, and everything that we need gonna happen still gonna happen. And eventually the algorithm will come back around, it'll pick back up, and it'll spike back up, and I won't even realize that it spiked. But when you cap— when you're not calibrated in here, when you're not confident in what's going on in here, You need out there to behave a certain way before you can access your confidence. You need out there to behave a certain way before you can access your good ideas. When you stop calibrating to that and you start calibrating to your goal, they can do whatever the hell they want to do and you still over here doing what you need to do. Does that make sense? When you clear, calibrated, and confident in what what you're building, it don't matter if your mom say, "I don't think that's a good idea. I don't think you should do it." It don't matter if your spouse say, "Baby, always trying something. Maybe you should just give up on on this whole entrepreneur." Baby, I love you. But in this aspect, I'm not calibrated to you. Mama, I love you, but when it comes to my my goal, I'm not I'm not calibrated to you. Does that make sense? I I love TikTok. TikTok is a dope app, but I'm not calibrated to that algorithm. I'm not calibrated to those numbers, and it also puts you in this dope place where you realize that stuff out there is not your source. God is your source. When you remember who your source is, and you clear, calibrated, and confident, watch out. Ain't nothing you can't. Do. Ain't nothing you can't do. Here go the crazy part. In the last 90 days, when TikTok has drastically cut down my traffic, my business has grew well over, uh, I think it was like 42%. Business is still up 42%. Now if I get distracted by the fact that the numbers are going down and TikTok is cutting my traffic, now I'm building the identity of this person who needed TikTok to thrive in the first place, and then I started living out this whole thing, then I just lose the motivation to do the lives and I quit going. Like, you see why it's so dangerous being calibrated out there. You don't want to calibrate out there. You want to calibrate in here. You don't want to calibrate to how many people in your room. You want to calibrate to the purpose that you have to fulfill. You don't want to calibrate to how much money in the account. You want to calibrate to the clarity that you got in step 1. Now that way, no matter what's going on in the bank account, you still got access to your confidence. You still got access to your body language. You still can go out and shake hands and look people in the eye and feel like a man and feel like a woman that people want to do business with. Does that make sense? But if you calibrate into the bank account, when the bank account is doing what you wanted to do, you feel confident. But the instant it's not doing what you want to do, now you don't even have access to your confidence. When you calibrate it to how many followers you got on TikTok, when the followers are going up, you feel great and you got access to your confidence. But the instant the following slows down, now your shoulders down and your enthusiasm is gone. Don't calibrate out there. Get clear about what you want, calibrate to that, and keep calibrating that until your nervous system becomes confident in that. Put a 1 in the chat if that makes sense. Put a 1 in the chat if that's making sense to you, because that's the foundation of everything that we talk about in here. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Now once we get clear, calibrated, and confident— first 3 C's: clear, calibrated, and confident— then we go to the 4th C. Y'all put step 4 in the chat in all caps. Step 4. Step four, step four, step four. Put step four in the chat. All right. The reason I make you put step four in the chat in all caps is because this is very important. Step four, step four. Step four is not step one. Step four, step four. Step four is competence. Step four is where we do the stuff. I only start doing stuff once I'm clear, calibrated, and confident. Coach Jay, why I gotta wait till step four to do stuff? Let me tell you why you gotta wait till step four and do stuff. Because people come to me and they say stuff. Coach Jay, TikTok Live don't work. I tried TikTok Live. Nobody nobody watches my stream. Why the hell would I watch your stream if you're unclear, uncalibrated, unconfident? Why would I watch your stream if you're not clear, calibrated, and confident? Now get clear, get calibrated, get confident, and then. Can't go live. Watch when you end the live, it's gonna say this person was in the room for an hour and 24 minutes. This person was in the room for an hour and 10 minutes. This person was in the room for 76. Get clear, calibrated, and confident. Now you're actually talking about something and it's not performative. You calibrated to it. So because you calibrated to it, your face is bought into it, your hand gestures bought into it, the stories that you— it is different. Jay, I tried networking. Networking don't work. I think it's cuz I'm in a small city. Maybe I should move to LA. Maybe I I should move to New York. No, maybe you should get clear, calibrated, and confident and take your butt right back in that same room. Because if you take your unclear, uncalibrated, unconfident self to New York, they're gonna swallow you. You can't— you can't network in Arkansas and you think you're gonna go to LA and network? Get clear, calibrated, and confident. Get clear, calibrated, and confident, then go networking. Does that make sense? Get clear, calibrated, and confident, and then cut out the carbs. Get clear, calibrated, and confident, and then Go back to school. Get clear, calibrated, and confident, and then start back dating. Why are you out here dating if you clear, calibrated, and confident in the fact that there are no more good men left? What you out there for then? All women are gold diggers. Why you out there? Get clear, calibrated, and confident in what you actually want, then go out there. Like, I've met people who I was working with, and when I first met 'em, cuz what you gotta understand is you already running the 5 C's. Most people just running them in the wrong direction. They clear about what they don't want. They calibrated to what they don't want. They've calibrated to it so many times that their nervous system is confident in what they don't want. And they're doing step 4 while they're clear, calibrated, and confident in what they don't want. So I worked with people who wanted to lose 75 or 100 pounds, but as we start to figure out what they're clear, calibrated, and confident to, it's clear to them that my grandmother is a bigger woman, my mom is a bigger woman, all of my aunts are bigger. We're just big people. They're clear and calibrated and confident in the fact that we just big people. We have slow metabolisms, Jay. We, we hold, we hold weight in, in our midsection. They get— they clear, calibrated, and confident in what they don't want, and then they had step 4 trying to use willpower to override what they clear, calibrated, and confident in. Does that make sense? So before we even go to the gym, before we even stop eating carbs, let's get you clear, calibrated, and confident in the fact that your body is a fat-burning, muscle-building machine. Let's get you clear, calibrated, and confident that I love protein. I love protein. I love the way I feel when I hit my protein. My body moves different when I got enough protein. And those carbs, they make me feel trash. I'm not lazy. I've been giving my— I've been putting too many unnecessary carbs in my body. My body is doing what it does when it has too many carbs. Let's get you clear, calibrated, and confident Protein first. My body is a fat-burning, muscle-building machine. Let's send that version of you to the gym in step 4. Now you're gonna get a different result. That's why step 4 is where we put the behavior. Does that make sense? We get clear, calibrated, and confident, and then we worry about behavior. Now the crazy part is this clear, calibrated, confident version of you gonna see things that the unclear, uncalibrated, unconfident version of you couldn't see. Gonna notice things that the unclear, uncalibrated, unconfident version of you couldn't notice. Gonna have a spark in their eyes, gonna have a pep in their step, gonna have this magnetic field around them that's attracting opportunity, that's attracting people. That's the version of you that you want stepping into the opportunity. That's the version of you that you want networking. That's the version of you that you want on TikTok Live. Does that make sense? Put a 1 in the chat if it's making sense. I gotta make sure y'all keeping up With me, cuz we on a roll today. You get clear, you get calibrated, you get confident, then you do the stuff. And step 5 is consistency. Consistency is the glue that holds the whole formula together. Cuz what's gonna happen is as you start doing the stuff, you gonna notice some stuff that you don't like. But when you in the 5 C's, you notice the stuff that you don't like for what it really is— clarity. Like, I use me as an example. When I first started doing what I do, I wanted to get booked and busy. I heard that shit online. I thought it sounded good. I said, yeah, booked and Busy. Let's do it. I got clear, calibrated, and confident to being booked and busy. And after I got clear, calibrated, and confident, I started buying Google Ads. I started buying Facebook Ads. I started doing these live events that filled my calendar up with people. I got booked and busy, and I said, wait a minute, I don't like this booked and busy shit. It's too many people talking to me. It's too many people. I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it. Mm-mm. I don't like it. What do I want? Step one, let me get clear. I see what I don't like. Let me get clear about what I want. I wanna get rid of a third of these clients. I wanna quadruple my price and I wanna put my undivided attention on 10 to 20 people. I'm, I'm done working with all this. I wanna put my undivided attention on 10 to 20 people a month. Yeah. But before I do that, I got some calibrating to do. How would I feel if I already had a price structure that allowed me to put my undivided attention on 10 to $20 a month? I feel like a leader in my field. I'll feel productive. I'll feel unique. I feel one-on-one. I feel like we had something special over here that you can't just get from anywhere. I'll have a unique— I feel like I had a unique approach. I feel like people get it and people see the work I had. I had to get clear about what I wanted. I had to get clear about how I would feel if I already had, and I had to calibrate to that. I calibrated. I calibrated to that over and over and over and over and over. Once my nervous system bought into that, I accidentally acquired quadruple the prices. And people say, Jay, I'm not, I'm not paying you that much money for that. I know, I can, I can see how you, how you live. Keep doing what you're doing, man. I don't want you over here. That's why the doorway to our website is iCoachBosses. iCoachBosses.com. This shit ain't fair. It was never fair, everybody. It's restrictive on purpose. It's, it's, it's small on purpose. It's not for everybody. But do we see how it works? But then I got into another season where I'm walking around and I'm looking around in these results. I'm in step four. I'm doing the doing. Then I notice one day I say, "Damn, it's a lot of really good people who need my help, but they just can't afford it at their price point." That's where the YouTube channel comes in. It's over 900 videos on our YouTube channel. That's why I go live every day. I go live every day for at least an hour. We had an hour and 11 minutes right now, and the clip ain't nowhere near empty. Does that make sense? You get clear, you get calibrated, you get confident, then you do the stuff. Now, as you doing the stuff, you are a creator. And one thing about creators is you always gonna notice stuff that you don't like. You know why? Because that's how you decide what to create next. You got to stop looking at it as a problem and looking at it as the clarity to help you get to help you get specific about your next creation. Being— I hated being in the military. Couldn't wear my nose ring, couldn't grow my beard, couldn't grow my hair, couldn't be me, couldn't get online and say whatever the hell I wanted to say, however the hell I wanted to say it. Commander said you got to take that down. I didn't like it. I felt restricted. I felt small. I felt less than. I felt like I was being blocked from my potential. I felt physically weighed down by being in the military. But in the midst of sitting in that, I got crystal clear I don't want to work. I want to play. I want to play. I want to get paid to do things that I would do for free. I want to get online and say whatever the hell I want to say. I want freedom. I want choice. I want expression. I don't want to work. I want to play. I want to play. I want to get paid to do things that I would do for free. I want to get paid to do things that I would do. I love hypnosis. I love NLP. I love psychology. I love human behavior. I love self-development. I love neuroscience. I love figuring out what makes makes people tick. I love looking at successful people and trying to reverse engineer how they did it. Hmm, I want to be a clinically trained hypnotherapist. I want to be a clinically— oh, I like that, clinically trained hypnotherapist. Yeah, I like— as I started calibrating to that over and over and over and over and over, as my nervous system became confident in that, I accidentally read some really good books. I accidentally found some really cool podcasts. I accidentally found some mentors. I accidentally joined Toastmasters. I accidentally became a really good speaker. As I started— as I stopped focusing on what I didn't want and started calibrating to what I did want, as my nervous system bought into what I was calibrating to, I accidentally started moving in that direction. Did I notice some things along the way that I didn't like? Absolutely. Guess what? That's where the clarity comes Uh, 3 or 4 months ago, I was getting out of the shower one day. I said, who the hell is this fat man? Where did he come from? Who was that? Did I like that? No. Did I get clarity? Yeah, it's time for me to lose 60 pounds. Here we go, 3 months later, I'm down like 27. Give me another 3 months, I'm gonna be down another third. But the, the stuff that you don't like, that's the stuff— that's the real you saying, hey, Hey, you you need more of it. Like that's clarity. You getting upset about the clarity? That's that's step one of the pro. That's your clarity. That job that you don't like—that's clarity. The stuff in your relationship you don't—that's clarity. You getting upset about the clarity? You should get excited when you see some. Oh, okay. Know the next thing I'm working on. No, know what my next goal is. Got okay. Got it. Does does that make sense? Like you gotta understand when something when like when somebody offends you, when somebody say something to you offends. You know that surge of energy you get when somebody says something to you offended? Like somebody walks to you and say, stupid ugly beep beep beep beep beep. You get this energy of like, man, what the hell? Like your chest accidentally flare up, your shoulder, you accidentally like get in it. What if you start using that energy to build what you want instead of to argue with the person who— thank you for the energy, I'm using it at the gym. Thank you for the energy, I'm gonna use that on my— yeah, thank you, hurt person who rather look out than look within. Thank you for this burst of energy. I know what I'm gonna do with it. You got to learn how to start transmuting. When you see something you don't— when you see not enough money, instead of using the energy to get upset about not enough money, go use the energy to calibrate to having money. Does that make sense? Don't use the energy to not have money. Use the energy to have money. Use the energy to say, man, who would I be? Who would? How would I feel? What would be my belief architecture if I already had money? Transmutation is a real thing. Transmutation is a a real thing. Use it on purpose. So I'm gonna show y'all what I actually do when I work with identity. Anybody want to come over to the sweet side and work with us? Jump in. Jump in. Let me um share screen with y'all. Give me a second. I'm gonna show y'all how we actually build identity diagnostics and different. Things of that nature. Let's go to— let's go to the portal. Let's go to the portal, and we will use yours. All right, so when I first started to work with a client, I don't care if they want to quit smoking, I don't care if they want to quit biting their nails, I don't care if they want to walk in rooms with unshakable Confidence. I don't care if they got a business that has blown up really big in Dallas and they want to spread it across the United States. The first thing they're going to do is take an identity diagnostic. Coach Jay, I don't really want to take that identity diagnostic. Well, you might want to go work with somebody else because step 1 of Coach Jay's process is an identity diagnostic. So you're going to take an identity diagnostic. All right, let me show you what happens when you take the identity diagnostic. Ah, da da da. Let me see. Is this the one? Yep. So when somebody first takes an identity diagnostic, one of the things it's gonna give me several things, but one of the first things I'm looking at is their what I call their baseline. So you see this red thing inside of this circle? I call this identity 1.0. I call this identity 1.0. Now the name of my business is identity. Identity 2.0. And our goal is to take Identity 1.0 and grow it into what we call Identity 2.0. This is somebody that's been working with me for about 3 weeks. When they first came in, they were at a point where they work in corporate, and they were at a point where they were watching people that they trained, people that came into the company after them, people with less degrees than them, less certifications than them, less knowledge than them, people who were getting these promotions and still having to call them and ask them how to do things. They were watching people that they trained surpass them. And they were upset about it, as they, as they should be. But our work was not about making them get a promotion. Our work was about, well, looking and saying, well, your belief architecture is about at 50%. We're gonna stretch that out. Your attentional focus is way too narrow. We're gonna stretch that out. Your expectations are way too narrow. We're gonna stretch that. Your behavior responses are reflecting what's going on up here. So we're gonna stretch that out. My job is to grow this Circle. They this this is not a lazy person. This is a pro, a person with a broken identity. This is not a stupid person. This is a very brilliant person. But the identity was like I said all the time: your only limit in life is your own identity. So we took her limits from this circle that you see here to this yellow that you see here. That's the work. That's the work. Let's go over here. Yeah. When we look at it, we took her belief architecture up 36 points. Let me move this over just a smidge. Give me a second. I'm gonna have to give me a producer eventually so I can just stream and somebody else can handle all these images and screen shares and stuff. All right, so we took her belief architecture up 36%. We took her relational self up 40%. We took her inner voice up 53%. Emotional baseline up 43%. Y'all can read. Y'all see all of this stuff. Now, we've been working together for 3 weeks. When this person came in, their identity score was a 44%. Here we are 3 weeks later. Their identity score is a 77%. She's already saying, Jay, it's not— we're not up for a promotion cycle yet, but my higher-up already has told me she see a major shift and I should have expect some really good things this next cycle. Jay, she's never said that to me before. I didn't even think she liked me until now. Jay, it's not that she didn't like you. Your identity had already achieved everything it was gonna allow you to achieve. It was time to stretch your identity. Jay, I was just getting ready to go back. I was considering going to get my PhD. No, your master's is fine. Now, if you want to get your PhD, get your PhD, but don't get your PhD if the only reason you getting it is because you think it's gonna fix this identity. A new degree isn't going to fix your identity. Moving to a new city is not going to fix your identity. Does that make sense? She had an identity issue. Let me pull another one of these. I'm gonna show y'all another client who came in a few months back. This particular person, let me see. Let me hide this. I won't flash all my clients' data on here. This particular person came in major insecurity, problems with authority. Would fly off the handles anytime somebody told them to do something, even if that person had the right to. Jay, can you believe that my boss is telling me what to do? Like, yeah, that kind of sounds like a— yeah, that, that sounds right. But big problems with authority and just feeling less than and insecure and looking for opportunities to physically show people that I am in charge. What is the name of the YouTube channel? Identity 2.0 Hypnotherapy. Uh, let me see. Here's that profile. Here is that profile. Let me zoom it in. Give me a second. All right. So when that person first came in, this was the score. If you look at the identity resilience— oh, let me scoot this over— if you look at identity resilience, it's almost nonexistent. It's, it's almost at zero. You look at the internal voice, it's really restricted. When you look at the behavior, Patterns really restricted. We didn't have to teach him how how to be a likable person. We didn't have to teach him how to control his temper. We had to fix his identity. Like people get so distracted by behavior that they don't realize all of this happens, and then the behavior shows up as a byproduct of the behavior is a symptom. The problem is always in here. When somebody wants to quit smoking, I don't gotta make them quit smoking. I got to go look at their belief architecture. I got to go look on what they focus on and what they notice throughout it. I got to look at what they expect. Does does that make sense? But let's talk about what we did with this person. We got the temporal orientation up ten points. Temporal orientation is how you exist in time. We got identity resilience up sixty seven percent. Identity resilience is how well you can maintain the identity. Because as we started to do this work, what I realized, he was somebody who would do the work, but he couldn't hold the— he couldn't hold the work. He would do the work, he would go spend $10,000 on the seminar, but he couldn't maintain what he got in the seminar. He would do the work, he would work really hard on himself. He would say, hey, they said if I just do this for 21 days, then my brain will make it automatic. He was doing that. But he couldn't hold it. We got his identity resilience up 67 points. Okay, inner city— I mean, inner voice. I'm reading the comments and reading this at the same time. We got his inner voice up 33%, how he talks to himself inside of himself. Is he talking himself into it? Is he talking himself out of it? We got his expectation patterns up 43%. So we took him from expecting people to do him wrong, from expecting to get the short end of the stick, to expecting things to work out for him to expecting to be included. And what he started noticing very quickly, Jay, it's not so much that they blocking me out, it's that I shut them down every time they try. We had to change what he was expecting. We raised his perspective and worldview 40%. We raised his emotional baseline 10%. We raised his relational self 17%. His values hierarchy went down 3, because right now he's in the phase of actively figuring out what he wants. Because before we started this work, everything that he wanted was based on fitting in. It was based on being good enough to be a part of the group. But as we raised this, that happened naturally. So now he has to figure out what he wants because he got what he thought he wanted. So now he got to figure out what is he building next. Okay, we got his belief architecture up 37%. Got his attentional focus up 14%. Behavioral responses up 50 freaking percent. Somatic identity up 13%. This is the word. You don't have a public speaking problem. Let's look at that identity. You don't have a money problem. Let's look at that identity. You don't have a nobody wants to date me problem. Let's look at that identity. Coach Jay, I get nervous. I need to go live on TikTok. I just struggle with consistency. Let me see that identity. Let me see the identity, and I will. We'll know exactly what to do. That's the work. That's why I say identity is the doorway to everything you desire. Stop trying to manifest things and start building your identity. Yeah. Stop trying to manifest things. We was talking about it in the beginning. If this is is the identification card, if this is the ID that you're carrying, yeah, I'm not surprised if you're struggling.
