In this brief segment of his motivational talk, the speaker urges listeners to read the opening verses of the Gospel of John ("In the beginning was the Word…") aloud each day, delivering the passage with intense emotional involvement as if their life depended on it. He frames this practice as a way to engage deeply with powerful ideas. He then shifts to a discussion about opportunity, asserting that opportunities are never lacking; the true scarcity lies in imagination. The speaker emphasizes that a lack of imaginative thinking, not a lack of external chances, limits personal and communal success.

And as you read it, I want you to read it in an emotional way. I don't want you to— I am a million. No, I want you to read that thing like your life depend on it. I want you to get emotionally involved in it. I want you to get emotionally spent up. And we're going to talk about creating opportunity. This is going to be one of our last points.
