You gotta understand, people like Kobe Bryant are running off of identity. They're running off of identity. Kobe Bryant wasn't using willpower to get out of his bed and go to the gym at 4 AM. Kobe Bryant had, uh, identity that wouldn't let him stay in the bed. Staying in bed felt like suffocating. Does that make sense? It wasn't, oh man, it's 4 AM, okay, I gotta go to the gym. It was a voice inside his head where staying in that bed felt like death. Staying in that bed felt like the opposite of what every cell in his body wanted to do.
