Coach Jay, I struggle with anxieties. What you gotta understand is your brain is a prediction machine. Your brain is constantly making predictions, constantly making predictions. Then it asks itself, what do I need to do to survive this prediction I just made? And anxiety is the answer to that question. You don't got to get rid of the anxiety. Your body is doing exactly what it's supposed to do based on the prediction that it's making. If your brain is predicting that the world is unsafe, people are out to get me, things never work out for me, we would have a problem if your brain was predicting it and you weren't anxious. Your brain is supposed— your body is— you're supposed to be in an anxious state based on that prediction you're making.
