In this live coaching session, Jay Shaw explains how personal identity is built and reinforced through behavior, and why behavior serves as the strongest affirmation of one’s self‑concept. He introduces the concept of a "values hierarchy," urging listeners to define seasonal priority levels (priority 1, 2, 3) rather than trying to address all life areas simultaneously. Shaw illustrates the need for focused effort with analogies ranging from cleaning a house to running a cleaning business, showing how systematic, step‑by‑step processes dramatically improve efficiency. He emphasizes that his coaching works for the future, thriving version of a client (Identity 2.0) rather than the current struggling self, and he outlines the importance of measuring an "emotional baseline"—the average emotional state over time. Shaw also delves into the neuroscience of prediction, explaining that procrastination is a protective response to negative predictions, and that changing underlying beliefs, expectations, bodily sensations, and self‑talk can shift those predictions. Finally, he promotes his paid "Identity Diagnostic" service ($99) as a serious entry point for clients, describing its structure, delivery, and the rationale for the fee to filter out unserious participants.

So how y'all doing this morning, man? We still mastering the new setup, but I think we good now. I can chill and kick back and talk to y'all. Good morning. Yo, if it's your first time here, I'm Coach Jay. I'm a clinically trained hypnotist. I'm the founder of Identity 2.0. We work with athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, founders. Day traders, MMA fighters, you name it, man. I'm a big believer that every problem is an identity problem. I don't believe in money problems. I don't believe in public speaking problems. I don't believe in I can't kick this smoking habit. I believe it's an identity problem, and you behave in alignment with your identity. So what I do is I help people change at the identity level. I don't care about your behavior. It blows my clients' minds when I tell them I don't care. About your behavior, because you got to understand that identity precedes behavior. Procrastination doesn't show up out of thin air. Overthinking doesn't show up out of thin air. You didn't just wake up today and say, I'm going to do things that don't serve me. You're acting from your identity. So if I change what you believe, if I change what you expect, if I change what you focus on, if I change your internal dialogue and the way that you talk to yourself, the behavior is going to fall in line with that. And that's what we do over here, man. So if it's your first time in here, go ahead and drop a one in the chat. If it's your second time in here, third time, or you've been here a handful of times, put a two in the chat. If you're one of our regulars that come here all the time, put a three in the chat. We on several platforms, and this is what we gonna do. Whichever platform has the most, like, energy, the most live taps and all that stuff, I'm gonna have a special discount for that platform at the end. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna end the other, the other 3 platforms, and I'm gonna spend the last 5 minutes with that one platform, and I'm gonna hook them up with something. We gonna see. Who gonna get active in here? You've been slacking. If you can recognize it, you can fix it. Let's get you back right. Let's get you back right. If you're not following us everywhere, you missing out. You missing out, especially as of late, man. We starting to put a team together, so we starting to push out crazy content. Crazy content. I think I'm creating more content than sessions right now. I'm creating more content than sessions right now. What is up? What is up? What is up though? How y'all feeling this? What's today? Tuesday. Today is Tuesday. Yeah, how y'all feeling this Tuesday? Get in this chat, make some noise, talk to me, talk to me. Anybody got any questions about any of the stuff we've been talking about? Also, we dropped, um, we dropped new stuff on you on YT yesterday, so if you're not on there Missing out. Then we'll be dropping another one. I'll probably drop the next video Saturday, but it's done, it's recorded, it's ready to go, it is ready to go. Sound check, y'all can hear me okay on all of these things? Trying to make sure everything is playing nice. Background look great. Appreciate you, Chrissy, appreciate you. We're gonna be experimenting with a lot of new stuff. Yeah, we're gonna be experimenting with a whole lot of new stuff, guys. Over here on TikTok, grab your daily heart me. We got one person grab it so far. Y'all get your daily heart me. Tap in with us. Get your daily heart me so you can get your notifications so you can know when we go live. So that way, when I do one of those random 11 p.m. lives that I don't typically do, you'll get notified and you'll know. Appreciate you, son of a preacher. See you grabbed yours. So. Somebody else grabbed theirs. Who was that? Chrissy, appreciate you. Y'all grab them daily heart meds, man. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. That's how we let the, um, let the algorithm know what's some dope stuff going on in here. Teamwork make the dream work for sure. What's going on, D? What is up? What is up? What is up? What is up? What is up? What is up? What's going on, My Fit Journal? So guys, what we're doing right now is we just letting the room build up, man. We had 431 taps. Um, in the meantime, if you got questions, drop them in the chat. When we get to 10,000 likes, I'm gonna, I'm gonna take off like a rocket. In the meantime, I'm gonna be taking care of a little bit of housekeeping, making sure everybody got appointment reminders and the schedule doing what it needs to do for the day. At 10,000 taps, I'm gonna do what I do. And then like I said, in the meantime, any questions, comments, concerns, drop them in the chat. I will be responding. What's going on, Banks? Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. Run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up so the algorithm can feed the room. Uh, the YT is Identity 2.0 Hypnotherapy. Identity 2.0 Hypnotherapy, that'll take you there. Real good stuff on there, real good stuff on there. What's going on, Big Country? How you doing? Welcome to the live, welcome to the live. What's up? What's up? What's up? So guys, I'm gonna just give you a sneak peek. We're gonna be talking about the fact that you could be doing have anything you desire. We're gonna be talking about the fact that nothing can stop you except for you. Your only limit in life is you. And once you start working on that identity, most people so distracted by behavior that they neglect the identity that creates the behavior. I'm gonna say that again. Most people are so distracted by the behavior that they neglect the identity that creates the behavior. You only need willpower when you're going against who you be. If willpower is the center of your success strategy, I'm really not surprised if you're struggling. I would actually be surprised if you were thriving. Willpower is not meant to be the center of your success strategy. Okay, think about it. When you be angry, you don't need willpower to stomp your feet. You need willpower not to stomp your feet, right? When you be angry, you don't need willpower to raise your voice. You need willpower to lower. Your voice. When you be angry, you don't need willpower to slam the door. You need willpower not to slam the door. See how you only need willpower when you're going against who you be? When you be poor, you need willpower to get rich. When you be not good enough, you need willpower to be good enough. But what happens if we just stop trying to put the doing ahead of the being and we put the being in its rightful spot and, and just be? You are a human being. You're not a human doing. You're not a human having. You are a human being. So what do you think is going to happen when you start being successful. Now understand, I didn't say doing successful things. I didn't say having success. I said, what do you think is going to happen when you start being successful? You gotta understand, being is an inside job. Being does not happen in your bank account. Being does not happen in your profit and loss statement. Being does not happen in your credit report. Being happens in your nervous system. Being happens in your internal dialogue. Being happens in the way that you talk to yourself, the way that you describe yourself to you. What do you think is going to happen when you start being rich? Oh man, I'm gonna tell you what's gonna happen. You're gonna accidentally start reading books— excuse me— that rich people read. You're gonna accidentally start listening to podcasts that rich people listen to. You're gonna accidentally start hanging out in environments where rich people hang out and start talking about things that rich people talk about. And as you start to do that, you're going to accidentally develop some new habits. You're going to accidentally start to use your attention different, start to accidentally use your money different, start to accidentally use your time different. As you do that, you're going to accidentally change your TikTok algorithm and your YouTube algorithm. Then different things going to start showing up on your feed, and you're going to start seeing things that been there the entire time, but the old you couldn't see it. You're going to walk into environments that you've been in before, but you're going to see things that you didn't see the last time you was in that environment. You're gonna read books that you read before, but you're gonna see things in that book that you didn't see before. You ever had that happen where you read a book you've read before, you watch a movie you've watched before, but you see something that you didn't see the last time that you watched it? Last time it went completely over your head. Like, sometimes I'll sit down with my kids and I'll watch like Disney movies that I used to watch when I was a kid. And as I'm watching this movie with my kid, I'm seeing things that as a kid— like, it's all types of like sexual innuendos and things that as a kid it went over my head. But as I sit here and watch it with an adult, with new awareness and new lived experiences and with a new identity, I'm seeing things in this movie that— man, I've seen this movie 100 times. I've seen Hercules 100 times. I've seen Matilda 1,000 times. But as I'm watching it with my kids— I've seen Home Alone 1,000 times. But as I'm watching it with new eyes, as I'm watching it as this version of myself, I'm noticing things. I'm seeing things that the old version of me couldn't see. That's the, that's the power of identity. That's the power of changing what's going on inside of you. Everybody's so busy trying to change what's outside of you. You got to— this is the best of times, this is the worst of times. What are you noticing as you're out there? This is the best of times, this is the worst of times. What are you noticing as you walk through life? When we work with identity, we measure something called attentional focus. And based on how you score on the attentional focus part of our assessment, I could tell, are you the type of person that notices problems, or are you the type of person that notices solutions? Are you the type of person that has a solution for every problem, or are you the type of person that has a problem for every solution? And a lot of times when people come in and they don't have direction and they're dealing with things like overthinking and playing small, as we start to look at the attentional focus, it's it's in thirty percent. Is that thirty five percent? And they think it's a willpower problem. They think it's I'm not disciplined. I'm not disciplined enough. I'm gonna tell you something. Discipline is never the problem. Confidence is never the problem. Consistency is never the problem. Clarity is very often the problem. But the things that people think is the problem is never the problem. That's why I always refuse to jump on a Zoom call with anybody without an identity diagnostic, because you don't know the problem. If you knew the problem, you would have fixed it already. You know that you got a fear of public speaking, but you don't know where— what— you don't know what's driving that fear. You know that you can't put these cigarettes down, but you don't understand what's driving the you not being able to put the cigarettes down. You know that you, that you overthink and you procrastinate and you get overstimulated really easy, but you don't know if it's a belief architecture problem or a somatic identity problem or if it's temporal orientation. That's why I'm so big on identity diagnosis. Coach, can I just pick your brain? No. Now we're doing identity diagnosis. Because what you mean by coach, can I pick your brain, is coach, can I describe this problem to you? I don't need to understand the problem. Like what you gotta understand is when we do what we do over here, we don't build, we don't break problems, we build solutions. I don't go after the problem. What I do is I build the solution. I starve the problem and feed the solution. Okay, right now I'm not eating a whole lot of carbs, but I'm not not eating a whole lot of carbs by not eating a whole lot of carbs. You know my strategy to not eating a whole lot of carbs? I'm so busy eating protein, I'm so busy getting fiber, I'm so busy hitting my water goals. You know how much work, you know how much energy and focus it takes to get 156 grams of protein a day? I'm so busy getting 156 grams of protein that I don't really got time to eat the carbs. I know I'm not— I can't eat the carbs, I can't eat the carbs, I can't have the donuts, I can't. Why would I be sending my focus to where I don't want it to go? One of the things you got to understand about the subconscious mind is that the subconscious mind does not negate information. The subconscious mind does not negate information. Coach J, what does that mean? The subconscious mind doesn't delete. If I walk up to my woman and I say, hey baby, don't freak out, she gonna say, what happened? Are the kids okay? I'm gonna say, baby, I said don't freak out. She's gonna say, what happened? What? She doesn't know how to not freak out. If I say, Dimples, don't think about a pink elephant. If I say, loving me, don't think about a pink elephant. Good luck. The way that I would stop you from thinking about a pink elephant is I would get you busy thinking about a blue tiger. Does that make sense? The way that I would stop you from thinking about a pink elephant is I would get you busy thinking about a green giraffe, and I would get you so busy thinking about a green draft that you have no neurology left for the pink elephant. Put a 1 in the chat if this making sense. Put a 1 in the chat if it's making sense. Now I'm going, but if y'all don't get some energy moving here, we gonna, we gonna bring— we gonna slow it down. Y'all gotta tap the screen. I gotta get in the comments. Y'all gotta say some stuff. Get your daily heartbeats. If I start to feel like myself, like I'm talking to myself, I'ma log off. If we want to do a podcast, we could do a podcast, but it's a live stream. It's a live stream. I need you guys talking. I need you guys engaged. Let me know I'm not talking to myself. What's going on, Rick? What's going on, Carl? What's going on, Nappy Chick? How y'all doing? People just joining us, I'm Coach Jay. I'm a clinically trained hypnotherapist. I'm the founder of Identity 2.0. We work with athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, founders, day traders, MMA fighters, people who work in sales, actors, poker players, you name it. We hypnotize all types of people, and what we do is we get them out of their own way. We help them overcome things like imposter syndrome, second-guessing theirself, procrastination, anxiety, burnout. Coach Jay, I'm afraid of public speaking. Coach Jay, I'm afraid to go live on TikTok. Coach Jay, I struggle with consistency. Every last one of those things that I just named have one thing in common. They're all identity problems. You might look at them and think that they all got these separate problems. No, they're all identity problems. Now, when I talk about identity, I want you to understand I'm not talking about one specific thing. When I talk about identity, I'm always talking about 12 things. Addiction, it has a chemical aspect to it, but yes, it's a lot of identity work that goes into breaking addiction as well. And not just breaking the— not just rebuilding the identity of the person with the addiction, but you also oftentimes have to rebuild the identity of the people closest to them. So they can stop treating them like an addict, because they their words will be saying I believe in you, but their behaviors and their facial expressions and the way that they handle them will be saying I don't. So a lot of times it's not with something like that. It's not just about repairing the identity of the person with the quote unquote problem. You got to do some restructuring with the identity of their support system too. What's going on? I think I'm famous. How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome. What's going on, Bula? How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. You could be, do, and have anything you desire. There's nothing you can't be. There's nothing you can't do. There's nothing you can't have. Your only limit in life is your identity, guys. I take identity so serious because your identity decides how much money you make. Your identity decides the type of people you date. Your identity is what raises your children. Your identity decides what books look interesting to you and what books look boring to you. Your identity builds your TikTok timeline. Your identity builds your For You page. Your identity picks your address. Your identity decides what you drive. And what people do is they'll leave the identity small, and then they try to use willpower to make their life big. Switch it. I would love it for you if you start building your identity on purpose and living your life on accident. Most people trying to live life on purpose, but they building the identity on accident. Start building the identity on purpose. Like, it kills me that we live in a time where people have designer belts, designer hats, and purses, and belts, and foreign cars, but y'all identity is a random mixture of what you've been through. Like, don't get me wrong, I like nice things. I like nice cars. I like nice clothes. But I'd be damned if I'm driving a foreign car and my identity is a random mixture of what I saw growing up in the projects. My identity is a random mixture of what money meant to my parents and what money meant to the people around me. As you can know, I'm gonna— if I'm gonna have a custom anything, I'm gonna have a custom identity. If I'm gonna have a designer anything, it's gonna be a designer identity. But what I've discovered, man, if I design the identity I can have all the other designer stuff I want. If I, if I sit down and say, okay, the version of me that already has everything that he desires, what does he believe about himself? What does he believe about himself? What does he expect? What's his internal dialogue? How does he talk to himself? What's his temporal orientation? What's his story of his past? What's his expectations out of his future? What feelings is he carrying in his body? What's going on inside of him somatically? If I start building that, I can have anything I want. I look at identity like a recipe. I look at identity like a recipe. Let's say you was hanging out at my house and I gave you a slice of cake, and it was the best cake that you ever tasted. It was the best cake that you ever tasted. And you say, hey coach, can I get another piece of that cake? I say, tell you what, I'll give you another slice of cake or I'll give you the recipe to the cake. Which one do you want? Put a 1 in the chat if you say, Coach, just give me another slice of cake. Put a 2 in the chat if you say, Coach, give me that recipe. I want to see something. Put a 1 in the chat if you say, Coach, yeah, give me, give me another piece of that cake. Put a 2 in the chat if you're saying, Coach, I want the recipe. I want the recipe. That's identity, okay? That's identity. When you see somebody that has something that you want When you see somebody that has something that you desire, I would love it for you if you became the type of person that instead of saying, man, how did they get that thing? If you start getting curious about their identity. When you see somebody like Barack Obama speak and orate, instead of you saying, man, how does he talk like that? I would love for you to say, man, what's the identity behind his ability to communicate like that? I'm telling you, if you get the identity, you'll accidentally pick up the mannerisms. If you get the identity, you'll accidentally do the things things that build the mindset. But when you start chasing the thing, when you start chasing the outcome absent of the identity, oh man, you, you barking up the wrong tree. Identity is, is the ingredients. If you call me and say, hey Coach Jay, I really want you to help me manifest the cake, I'm gonna say forget about the cake, let's go manifest a bowl. You're gonna say, Coach, I don't want a bowl, I want a cake. I'm gonna say, okay cool, go manifest the bowl. Guess what? You gonna go get a bowl. You ain't got to do no affirmations to get the bowl. You ain't got to make no vision boards to go to get the bowl. You know exactly where to go You can come back with a bowl right now. That's how I feel about internal dialogue. You can go get the internal dialogue right now. Now, you can't go grab the millions right now, but you can go get the internal dialogue right now. You say, okay, coach, can I have my cake now? I got the bowl. I'm gonna say, hold on, go grab some flour. You're gonna say, coach, I don't want flour. Go, go, go. I want a cake. I'm gonna say, okay, listen, if you want a cake, you got to go get the flour. You're gonna come right back with the flour. You ain't have to do no scripting. You ain't have to do no journaling. You ain't have to do no affirmations, no incantations. You, you, you gonna come back with some, with some, with some sugar. And that's how I feel about somatic identity. You can go get the feeling right now. You don't gotta hope for the feeling. You don't gotta wish for the feeling. You can close your eyes and reach for the feeling right now. But when you do that across all 12 of those dimensions, oh man, you gonna accidentally get rich. I work with a lot of athletes. The first conversation that I have with every athlete is you don't get a trophy and then become a champion. That's not how it works. You don't get a trophy and then become a champion. What happens is you become a champion. We get you running the internal dialogue of champion. We get you feeling the somatic patterns of champion. We get you telling the story of champion. We get you talking to yourself like a champion. We get you expecting what champions expect. We get you focusing on what champions focus on. We get you ignoring what champions ignore. As we get that internal dialogue, as we get those somatic patterns running, as we get that champion programming running inside of you, oh man, you're gonna accidentally start showing up to practice Early and leaving practice late because that's what champions do. You're gonna accidentally start spending more time in the weight room. You're gonna accidentally start eating more protein. You're gonna accidentally start holding yourself to a higher standard, holding your teammates to a higher standard. You're gonna accidentally win a trophy. You know why? Because that's what champions do. Now, if you the type of person that need to get a trophy before you could be a champion, you'll never get a trophy. Trophies don't make champions; champions make trophies. Yeah, making sense. Put a one in the chat if this makes sense. If you're the type of person you need to get the money before you can be a millionaire, you'll never get the money. Money doesn't make millionaires; millionaires make money. Yeah, put a one in the chat. Y'all y'all dead in here? Put a one in the chat. One two three. Wide awake. Snap out of it. Getting coach. I'll be forgetting to tap. I'll be listening. Wide awake. Snap out of it. Let's get to ten thousand taps. We finna take a break so we can get to 10,000 towels real quick. But is this stuff making sense, y'all? Identity is the recipe to everything you desire. Identity is the doorway to everything that you desire. If you stop chasing the money and build the identity, the money will start chasing you. If you stop chasing the relationship and build the identity, the relationship will start chasing you. If you stop chasing customers and build the identity, the customers will start chasing you. If you stop trying to force the body language, if you stop trying to make yourself, I'm I'm gonna put my shoulders back. I'm gonna put my chest out. I'm gonna put my chin up. Now you're walking around looking like a damn robot. If you stop trying to force the body language and say, okay, people who walk through life with their shoulders back, their chest out, and their chin up, I wonder what they notice when they walk in the room. Okay, I'm gonna start noticing that people who walk around with good body language and they do it on accident and it comes natural to them, I wonder what they thinking about in them. I wonder what story are they telling themselves. I wonder what they expect. Okay, I'm gonna start thinking that. I'm gonna start feeling that. I'm gonna start expecting that. And as you start thinking that, feeling that, expecting that, talking to yourself that way, scanning the environment and looking for the things that they look for, oh man, you're gonna accidentally roll your shoulders back, put your chest out, and put your chin up. Oh man, you're gonna accidentally start shaking hands firmly and looking people in the eye. People, Jay, how do you show up so authentic? Jay, how do you show up with so much passion? On accident. And if you try to do it on purpose, you're gonna look like a fool. It's, it's not something that I make myself do. This is the natural behavior based on what I'm thinking about. This is the natural behavior based on what I'm focusing on. This is the natural behavior based on what I pay attention to and based on what I ignore, based on the way that I talk to myself, based on the way that I describe my goals to myself, based on the way that I see. I got no choice but to put my shoulders back, put my chest out, put my chin up. Going back to that example we were using earlier, when you pissed off, you don't need willpower to slam the— excuse me, you don't need willpower to slam the freaking door. When you pissed off, you don't need willpower to raise your— when you pissed off, you accidentally have behaviors that align with being pissed off. Same thing happens when you be successful. When you stop waiting on the bank account, you stop waiting on the credit score, you stop waiting on the clients, you stop waiting on the TikTok following, you stop waiting on the viral video, and you just be successful. Who would I be if I already had all of that? How would I talk to myself if I already had all that? Okay, I'm gonna start talking to myself like that now. How would I introduce myself if I already had all that? Okay, I'm gonna start introducing myself like that now. You gotta understand, you are a leader. Okay, you are a leader. And I think people understand, like, if I, if I ask everybody, if I say put a 1 in the chat if you are a leader, the chat is gonna flood with 1s. But let's make sure that we understand what it means to be a leader. Being a leader literally means I go first. You remember when you was in elementary school and it was your turn to be the leader? When you was the leader, you didn't get the back of the line, you didn't get at the middle of the line, you You went first. So I want you to—I want to bring this up into your adult life. You are the leader every day. Every day when you wake up, you don't got to wait twenty, twenty times, twenty days for it to come back around. You are the leader every day. So if you the leader, why are you following the bank account? Why are you following the credit score? Why are you following your TikTok following? Why are you following what other people saying? You are the leader. Leaders go first. You're gonna get rich. Then the bank account is gonna get. Rich. You gonna get healthy, then the report that the doctor gives you is gonna get healthy. You gonna get happy, you gonna love yourself, and then the, the relationship is gonna— you gotta stop waiting on things. God did not give things dominion over you. God gave you dominion over things. God did not give things dominion over you. God gave you dominion over things. Okay? Now what it looks like when you stop waiting on things, like, it's only 17 people in here right now. It's only 17 people in here right now, but I'm not gonna wait on the 100 people to show up to stream like it's 100 people. I'm gonna stream like it's 100 people in here right now. I'm gonna give this stream everything I got right now. I'm gonna give it the energy right now. I'm gonna give it the value. I'm gonna give the same amount of information I would give if it was 100 people. I'm gonna give that away now. Let me ask you, what do you think would happen if I consistently show up? Consistently, consistently show up. Consistently show up. Consistently not show up when I feel like it. Not sometimes I do it, sometimes I don't. What do you think will happen if I spend six months showing up every day at this time with this type of energy? What you think gonna happen to that number? What you think if I show up with this identity every day at the same time and you know where to find this identity? You know every morning I can get on TikTok around nine a.m. and Coach Jay gonna be on there with that identity. What you think gonna happen to that number? Now if I'm waiting to install the identity till the number gets there, the number ain't never gonna get there. Making sense? What's going on, Dr. White? How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. There's nothing you can't be. There's nothing you can't do. There's nothing you can't have, but you gotta do it in that order. You gotta be it before you can do it. You trying to do things that you haven't became. Imagine being poor and trying to get rich when the Bible done already told you that the rich gonna get richer and the poor gonna lose the little that they have. Be rich, coach. You saying fake it till I make it? No, I'm saying be it. It's not you. It's not faking it to be it. Being it is the like saying that being it is faking it is the equivalent is saying that is to saying that an acorn is pretending to be an oak tree. It's not pretending. It's literally a baby oak tree. It's not pretending to be an oak. It's an oak tree, and if you put it in the right environment, it don't even got a choice. It gotta become an oak tree. That's how I look at identity. That's how I look at identity. You don't gotta manifest. Coach J, I'm manifesting a six-pack. Coach J, I'm manifesting a lean body. You don't gotta manifest a lean body. Manifest the thought patterns of someone who has a lean body. Manifest the eating habits of someone who has a lean body. Manifest the behaviors of someone who— you don't gotta manifest a lean body. How would I talk to myself if I already had it? What would I believe if I already had it? What would be going on somatically in my body if I already— okay, let me start manifesting that. Let me start manifesting the thought process. Let me start manifesting the belief architecture. Let me start manifesting somatic identity. Let me start manifesting the temporal orientation. Let me start manifesting all 12 of those dimensions that Coach Jay talk about. If you manifest those 12 dimensions, oh man, you're gonna accidentally get the things that you desire. I never once manifested a Range Rover or a Beamer or a Tesla. All of them have been in the garage. Never once manifested. Who would I be if I could drive whatever I wanted to drive? How would I talk to myself if I could drive whatever I wanted to drive? What would I expect if I could drive whatever I wanted to drive? What would be my story of the past if I could drive whatever I wanted to drive, live wherever I wanted to live, vacation wherever I wanted to vacation? Okay, let me build. As I build it, I'm gonna accidentally price the services in my business different. I'm gonna accidentally start putting a different value on my time. I'm gonna accidentally start spending my attention different. As I start to value me different, everything around me is gonna increase in value. But when you leave the identity that you talking to yourself the same way that you always talked to yourself, you expecting the same things that you always expected, you feeling the same way that you always felt, and you trying to use willpower to get another result, and you wondering why it's not working. Come on now. You know that don't make sense. You smarter than that. You smarter than that. Put those affirmations down. Affirmations are the biggest waste of time. Well, I'm not gonna say affirmations are a waste of time. Most people use affirmations wrong. Most people use affirmations wrong. Most people use affirmations as the gas pedal without realizing affirmations are actually the speedometer. Does that make sense? The affirmations are not the gas pedal. The affirmations are the speedometer. Affirmations are the gas pedal. What's going on, Galad? For sure, Dr. Wade. Stop, stop. Thank you for coming through. Appreciate you. The, the affirmations are not the gas pedal. They are the speedometer. Coach J, what the hell are you talking about? I'm gonna tell you what the hell I'm talking about. Let's say I'm sitting in my car. I like to drive fast. Let's say I wanna, let's say I wanna go 100 miles per hour. I'm not gonna sit there and say 100 miles per hour, 100 miles per hour. I'm so thankful that I'm going 100 miles per hour. Go 100. No, I'm not gonna say that. I'm gonna say 100 miles per hour. I'm gonna press the gas. And as I press the gas, that speedometer is going to start to move. Okay? And when I get to 100 miles an hour, that speedometer's gonna let me know that I'm going 100 miles an hour. Yeah. That's how I look at affirmations. The affirmations don't lead you there. The affirmations reflect back to you who you are. I don't care about the affirmations you do on purpose. I tell my clients this all the time. I don't really care about the affirmations you say on purpose. I care about the affirmations you say on accident. Because those are the affirmations that let me know how fast we're going. Those are the affirmations that let me know what direction are we headed in. When something doesn't work out for you, what comes outta your mouth? You say, man, I knew that wasn't gonna work. I knew that, man, stuff don't never work for me. When somebody offer you an opportunity, do, do, do you say, nah, man, I can't do— well, I, I don't, I don't, I don't really care what you affirm on purpose. I care about what you affirm on accident. I care about what you affirm on accident cuz that's gonna let me know What their belief architecture is at. What's going on somatically in your body? What's going on temporally in your, in your psychology? Well, how do you show up relationally? That, that's what I'm looking— I don't really care what you say out of your mouth. And the thing about these affirmations that you do on purpose, people only do affirmations on purpose to believe in things that they don't believe in. Nobody's doing affirmations on purpose to believe in things they already believe in. Nobody puts a pot of water on the stove and say, "I'm so thankful that the water is boiling." None of the water. No, you don't do that. Why? Because you trust the stove. You trust the stove. You don't put a cup of water in the freezer and say, "I'm so thankful that the the water is frozen." Let me go put some ice cubes on my vision board. Let me get my journal now that the water is frozen. No, you don't do none of that. You know why? Because you trust the freezer. I want you to start looking at identity as that freezer. I want you to build the identity and put the identity in an environment where it has no choice to freeze. And what you affirming for is in the freezer. It's gonna freeze. You don't gotta make it freeze. You don't gotta hope that it freezes. You don't gotta pray that it freezes. You don't gotta make a vision board. You don't gotta stare at no crystals. You don't gotta do no journaling, no scripting. You ain't gotta watch another YouTube video unless you want to. And if you want to, go to Coach Jay's channel, but you ain't gotta watch another video. You know the stuff. You got to learn how to leave it in the freezer. What if I told you you already are amazing manifestor? The part that you suck at is staying pregnant. You know how to get in the frequency. You know how to get in the flow state. You know how to get in the in the feeling that you would be in if you had it. Part that you suck at is staying in there when it takes too long. The part that you suck at is you keep talking about it with your negative friend. What you got to understand about negative people is they're way more likely to get you sick than you get them healthy. So I ain't saying you can't talk to 'em. You just can't talk to 'em about this thing that you building. You know how to, you know how to get yourself in the state. You gotta learn how to be, how to remain pregnant. And this is why I love the analogy of being pregnant. Okay? Think about anybody who's been pregnant, or if you've never been pregnant or you, you are a guy, you, you've seen somebody be pregnant. Guess what? You've never seen a pregnant person walking around with a checklist collecting body parts. You've never seen a pregnant person walking around. Okay, I gotta get the brain. I gotta get the heart. I gotta get the lungs. I gotta get the kidney. You know why? They don't gotta build the baby. They just gotta give the baby an environment to grow in. They don't have to build it. They just have to not abort it. That's how I want you to start treating your dreams. That's how I want you to start treating these things that you're manifesting, these things that you are affirming, these desires that aren't here yet, these ideas in your head, these desires in your heart that you want to turn into something you could taste, touch, feel, hear, and see. I want you to stop looking at looking at. As this thing that you have to build, and I want you to start looking at it as this thing that you have to allow to grow inside of you. And as you just allow it to grow inside of you, one day you're gonna go into labor, and ready or not, here it comes. You got to learn how to stay pregnant. You got to stop letting things that you see on social media cause you to abort your baby. You got to stop letting things that you see on the news cause you to abort your baby. You got to stop letting the time delay stop you from, from I mean, make you abort your baby. You got to learn how to stay pregnant. And if you just stay pregnant, oh man, you're gonna accidentally create some really cool stuff. Over here, we always accidentally creating some really cool stuff. I wasn't looking for a night school. Night school found me. I wasn't looking for Identity 2.0. Identity 2.0 found me. I wasn't looking for Abundant Living. I wasn't looking for iCoach Coaches. I wasn't looking for Creators Create. I wasn't looking for iCoach Ball. All of these verticals that we— all of these brands, all of these sources of income that we— I wasn't looking for None of it. I got preg— I remember being in the military and I didn't like it. Couldn't grow my beard, couldn't wear my nose ring, couldn't braid my hair, couldn't go where I wanted to go. I felt restricted. I felt small. And way back when I got pregnant with this desire, I wanna get paid to play. I don't wanna work. I wanna get paid to play. I wanna get paid to do things that I would do for free. I wanna get paid to do things that I would do for free. I wanna get paid to do things that I would do for free. Now I was pregnant with this baby. I wanna get paid to do things that I would do for free, but my body was in camouflage. My body was in combat boots. My body was in the military. But inside of me, I was growing this desire. I want to get paid to do things that I would do for free. I'm going to go on this deployment. But even as I'm going on this deployment, I'm pregnant with— I want to get paid to do things that I would do for free. I'm going to go on this TDY. But even as I'm on this TDY, I desire to get paid to do things that I would do free. I want to get paid to do things that I would do for free. So eventually I went from I want to get paid to do things that I would do for free to what are some things that I would do for free? Oh man, I love hypnosis. I love psychology. I love NLP. I love human behavior. I love self-development. I love looking at successful people and doing my best to reverse engineer how did they get that result. I love identity. I love mindset. I love just the psychology of success. I want to be a clinically trained hypnotherapist. I want to be a clinically trained hypno— yeah, I want to hypnotize athletes and entrepreneurs. And executives and founders and day traders and MMA fighters. I want to, man, I want to remind people that. I want to show people you're not stupid, you, man. You just been— you forgot who you were. I want to remind people who they are. Yeah, I don't even want to teach them. I want to remind them who they are because actually they already know all this stuff. I'm not teaching them nothing that they already— they just forgot who they are. I want to remind them. I want to help them remember who they are. I want to help them remember who they are. I want to help them rebuild their identity, man. Yeah, identity. I want to help them rebuild their identity because, oh, it's not them that's stuck. God doesn't make an imperfect product, but you a perfect product running a broken idea. Oh man, I want to help them. Mr. Identity 2.0. Identity 2.0. I like that shit. Hold on now. Identity 2.0. You know, I'mma name the practice Identity 2.0. Like, you gotta— like, you don't really create ideas as much as you download ideas. You gotta understand that the same source that gave you the idea will give you the rest of the idea if you just keep spending time with that source. If you just keep spending time with that source. Anybody who really like knows me and my family and our dynamic, they will swear that Riley is my favorite. But it's not so much that Riley is my favorite. Riley is the one that would just come sit in my office. Riley, if Ralph come in my office, Ralph want something. If he come say, what's up, bud? Uh, Daddy, can I get some Fortnite books? Uh, Daddy, can you take me to something? If Ralph come in my office, Ralph want something. Riley come in my office, she might want something, but she also might just be coming I said, what's up, baby? Nothing. She just, she just want to come sit in here. She'll sit under my desk. She just want to be in proximity with her dad. She just want to hang out with her dad. She just want to be up under her dad. But as she's with her dad, she's talking about things that she likes. She's talking about, Dad, do you like this? This looks cool, doesn't it? She's sending me things that are interesting to her. So when I'm walking through an airport and I see one of these things that she showed me while we were just hanging out, I said, oh, my baby like these. So she just accidentally gets stuff and people say that's your— it's not so much she my favorite, she's just come hang out with me for no reason. So because while she hanging out with me for no reason, I know her hobbies, I know her interests, I really— I know what she want before she even asks because of the amount of time she spent with me. You better go start hanging out with your source. You better go start hanging out with your father. You need to just start hanging out with the father for no good ideas gonna jump over you. Good ideas are gonna jump all over you. And some, some people might be saying, well, Jay, I'm not, you know, I'm not really— word it however you want. You need to start taking time without this in your hand, with the TV off. You need to start taking time sitting in silence. You need— like, I don't never get good ideas. Oh, Jay, I'm overthinking. You overthinking because you don't never sit down to think. You always thinking and doing something else. You thinking and scrolling on TikTok. You thinking and watching TV. You thinking and talking. When do you make time just to sit with you and your ideas? When do you make time just to spend time with these ideas that you have? Not to figure it out, not to make it happen. When do you use time just to chill with the idea? I'm telling you, what I realize is most of the things, most of these things I build, I don't really figure them out as much as I let the idea borrow my imagination. I don't sit down like I'm building a new workshop slash course thing right now, but I'm not sitting down using willpower to build this thing. I got an idea and I'm letting this idea borrow my imagination, and I treat my imagination like a dressing room. I go in there and I try on stuff. No, I don't really like that. Now that could work. Yeah, I get bored with that after about— now hold on, that, that right there. They're right there. Like, not by force, not by might, but by my spirit, says the Lord of Hosts. Not by force, not by might, not by grind and sacrifice and go, go. No, no, no, no, no. Not by force, not by might, but by my spirit, says the Lord of Hosts. You got to learn how to sit down. You got to learn how, as the scriptures say, be still and know that I am God. You got to remember you are a human being. Human being, not a human doing, not a human having, a human being. As like we pick up more momentum over here, one of the things that I'm realizing is the, the least I work, the more money I make. The least I work, the more money. People going, Jay, how is that? Most people, they so busy working that they can't make no money. You don't make money when you working, you make money when you thinking, you make money when you're getting in alignment with where you headed. I don't make money when I'm streaming. I don't make money when— if I'm in a session, they already paid me for that. That money, that money probably spent already. I make my money when I'm sitting down saying, man, Identity 2.0. What is— what is Identity 2.0, man? Identity 2.0 is a hypnotherapy practice, but it's not just any hypnotherapy practice. It's a hypnotherapy practice for high performers. Listen, if you a day trader, you'll be crazy to hire anybody but Identity 2.0. If you're an entrepreneur, you'll be crazy to hire anybody but Identity 2.0. If your goal is self-development related, if you're the type of person to read books like Think and Grow Rich, Psycho-Cybernetics, if you're the type of person like Joe Dispenza, Neville Goddard, Esther Hicks, but you also into entrepreneurship, you also into hyper— if you that type of person, Identity 2.0 is for you. And I make the money when I'm getting clear about what Identity 2.0 is. I make the money when we— when I design things like the identity diagnostic. You can't find an identity diagnostic nowhere else. They— nobody else has one. I make the money when I'm coming up with the ideas. I make the money when I'm figuring out what makes us different from— that's where I make the money at. By the time I go out there and do the stuff, the money's already— the money was made before I got up from the desk. Does that make sense? You don't make the money when you're working. You make the money when you being still, getting crystal clear about where we headed. You make the money when you sitting down making it unique, making it— then when you figuring out what's the smartest way to do this, what's the path to least— that's where you make the money at. Because when you just working, working, working, working, working, what you're doing is looking around to see what everybody else is doing, say, okay, I'm gonna do that too. But you're not gonna make no money doing that because they already got a thousand options to go get that from. And I want you to not just look at this with, with, with, with money. I want you looking at this in all areas of your life. I don't make— I don't think— like, let's say me and my, my wife got like— we on a rocky page right now. Let's say if that was the case, I don't fix it when I'm in there talking to her. I fix it when I'm getting in my mind and getting crystal clear about, okay, what, what, what, what are we doing? I know I'm not leaving. I know she's not leaving. What are we doing? Where did this thing go? Right now, after I go think about it and I get it mapped out, then I go to— after I go— but by the time I start talking, I'm already at the solution. You think that the work is where the things get— no, the work is not where the things get done. Internal in here. It gotta like nothing happens out there first. That's what I'm trying to say. Nothing happens out there first. When you wake up in the morning and it's time to get dressed, guess where you go first? Not your closet, not your dresser. You go in here first. You go in here and say, what do I gotta do today? What do I gotta go today? Do I wanna be comfortable? Do I wanna dress up? What, what, what do I have to do? You go in here first and then you get dressed out there. Okay, when it's time to eat, where do you go first? Not your pantry, not your refrigerator. You go in here first. Uh, I ate that yesterday. I ain't really trying to eat that again. I've been eating too much rib, man. I really got to cut back on this rib. You know what? I'm I'm gonna do the. I got these chicken breasts in the freezer. I'm gonna do these chicken breasts. You you eat in here, then you eat out there. But a lot of times you be skipping over the part of in here, and you just gonna try to do it out there. Coach Jay, I don't know why I'm nervous. Because you're putting your nervous system in a situation that it's never been in before. Like, before I stand on the stage, like, Jay, how do you come out? How do you show up on stage so confident? Because it's never my first time coming on that stage. Even if it's a city I've never been in before and a venue I've never been in before, that's not my first time stepping on this. I had a whole plane ride to get in my imagination and stand on that stage. I had the whole month before the event to knowing that I was gonna stay. You crazy if you think the first time I stand on that stage is in the physical. By the time I stand on that stage in the physical, I have mentally been on that stage thousands of times. Why would I be nervous to do something that I've already did a thousand times? Now, if it's your first time doing it, then not only is it your first time doing it, but you are imagining failure because you haven't disciplined your mind. Because you didn't purposely build your belief architecture. It's a random belief architecture. This is a result of how you were raised and what you saw coming up. Your temporal orientation is random because you haven't— or you haven't built it, you haven't designed it. And that's another thing you got to understand. You got to design it before you could build it. But we'll save that topic for another live. But put a 1 in the chat if I'm talking to you this morning. Put a 1 in the chat if this stuff is landing. I'm not surprised if you're struggling I'm not surprised that you're struggling if you're trying to build things with your hands that you haven't even built in your mind yet. I'm not surprised that the business is struggling out there if you haven't even made the business successful in here. I'm not surprised that the relationships aren't working out there if relationships don't work in here. Your story is, you know, people are finicky. You can't trust nobody. All men are dogs. All women are gold diggers. If that's the story that you tell, I'm not surprised that your amygdala is Taking you through there and you can't think of ideas and you looking through solutions like windows and looking at problems with a magnifying glass. That doesn't surprise me, not one bit. But what I want you to understand about all of that is that's identity work. That's not something that you throw more willpower at. That's not something that more affirmations are going to fix. That's identity work. What is the story I'm telling myself? What am I believing? What am I expecting? That's identity work. How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live, guys. But I'm serious, there's nothing you can't be, there's nothing you can't do, there's nothing you can't have. Your only limit in life is your own imagination. And any of you guys over here on the YouTube page, if you want to tap in with Coach J and do you an identity diagnostic, let me tell you guys where to go. Coach J, what's an identity diagnostic? An identity diagnostic is $99. It takes you about 30 minutes to take. And it's going to let me know what your identity is. Like, it's one thing to show up at the mechanic and say my car won't start, but before a mechanic can fix your car, mechanic has to figure out why your car won't start. The mechanic is gonna say, okay, is it the battery? Is it the alternator? Is it the fuel pump? Is it the starter? Is it the ignition? That's how I look at change work. So people show up tomorrow, they say, Jay, I'm afraid of public speaking. Okay, cool. Is it a belief architecture problem? Is it an expectation patterns problem? Is it a temporal situation? Is it something somatically going on in the body? Like, you let me know that you failing. The identity diagnostic lets me know why you're failing so that we don't just try to fix the problem, because fixing problems don't work. School screws you up. School teaches you to solve the problem, but you don't solve the problem. What you do is you build the solution. So the identity diagnostic shows me what's the gap. I'm not surprised when I look at, um, identity diagnostics and somebody's belief architecture is 87%, their Expectation patterns are 93%. They believe they can do it. They expect things to go well. But we look at the internal dialogue, and internal dialogue is at 23%. And that's really pissed. That's really frustrating. I believe I can do it. I know I can do it, but I don't talk to myself like I can do it. Then we look at the somatic score, and somatic score is 47. So I know I can do it, but I don't feel like I can do it. And you got this tug of war. You think you competing against the other people who sell what you sell. You think you competing against the other people who do what you do. Whole time you got this internal civil war, and you losing on both ends. The identity diagnosis shows me, okay, all right, dude, stop doing affirmations. You've done enough affirmations. Your belief architecture has less direct— have left— I can't even talk. Your belief architecture has left your other 12 dimensions behind. That's why you feel shitty. That's why you feel— because you got all this belief, but you don't have a system that knows how to generate the work ethic to go with it. So I want you to stop doing affirmations. We want to sit the belief architecture right where it's at. Let's get your internal dialogue, your temporal orientation, your somatic feelings up. With your belief architecture. Now, what happens as we do that is you start accidentally saying yes to stuff that you used to say no to. You start accidentally setting boundaries in areas of your life where you used to let people walk all over you. You accidentally roll your shoulders back. You accidentally put your chest out. You accidentally put your chin up. Like it blows my clients' mind when I tell them I don't care about behavior. They go, "What do you mean you don't care about behavior?" I'm paying you to shift my back. I don't got to change how you behave. I got to change how you think. I got to change how you feel. I got to change how you expect. I got to change the story that you tell yourself. If you say. Coach Jay, can you hypnotize me to quit smoking? I don't gotta make you quit smoking. I gotta make you feel different about cigarettes. I gotta make you tell a different story about cigarettes. I got— right now you feel like cigarettes help you relax. I gotta get you to feel like every time you suck on that cigarette, you sucking cancer out of a straw. As you feel like the cigarette is you sucking cancer out of a straw, you won't need willpower not to smoke a cigarette anymore than you need willpower not to lick a toilet seat. It's just not on your to-do Do this. Like, people be trying to use willpower where they need to be using a new belief architecture. People trying to like use work ethic in places where they need to get a new voice running inside of their mind. For sure, Travis. I do my best to take like these really complex ideas and make them as simple as I can because I think a lot of people in my field, they, they so busy trying to sound smart that they can't help nobody. And I want to make this shit sound so simple that there's a piece of you going Well, if it's that easy, I might as well just do it. Yes, you might as well just do it. You might as well just do it. But you people are trying to like fix things that can't be fixed with behavior. What you gotta understand about willpower is willpower is finite. Willpower is not infinite, it's finite. And there is a place for willpower. I talk about it in the new YouTube video that's dropping later this week. There is a place for willpower in your self-development strategy, but willpower should not be the center Of your self-development strategy. Most people want to treat willpower like a babysitter. They want willpower to follow them around all day long and say, "Don't touch that. Don't say that. Don't don't do that. Don't eat that." But that that's not how willpower works. You don't use willpower to direct behavior. You use willpower to direct focus. You use willpower to say, "I'm not gonna focus on that. I'm gonna focus on that." I'm not gonna talk to myself like that. I'm gonna talk to myself like this. I'm not gonna let those expectations get running on me. I'm gonna get these. You don't use willpower to control your body. You use willpower to control. Control your mind. But guess what? Where the mind goes, the body follows. Like, you gotta understand, when you think about somebody like Kobe Bryant, Kobe Bryant was not using willpower to get outta his bed at 4:00 AM and go to the gym. He wasn't using willpower. He wasn't using motivation. He wasn't using affirmations to get outta his bed at 4:00 AM and go to the gym. He had an identity to where staying in bed felt like suffocating. Do you see the difference? It's one thing to use willpower to go to the gym. It's a whole nother thing to have the system running your body where not going to the gym feels less than the man that you see yourself as being. Not going to the gym feels like I'm letting the competition get one up on me. Jay, how do you go live every morning? How do I not go live every morning, man? The story that I'm telling, the way that I talk about my— talk to myself, the things that I notice versus the things that I ignore. Sometimes I might say, you know what, I'm not going live this morning. I'm gonna let my voice rest. I got a busy day. I'm gonna just let my voice rest so I can have a voice for myself. And then I get on TikTok and I see Nikki live, I see Coach Markins live. I said, hold on, hell no. Y'all, you think y'all leaving me behind? Hell no. You done lost your mind. Coach Markins got 73 people. Hold on, let me— hey, what's going on, y'all? Welcome to the live. What's up, what's up, what's up? Like, it's not— I'm not making myself go live. My— the identity that I've built— and I want you to pay attention to what I'm saying— the identity that I built, the identity that I designed Forces me to go live. Now you gotta understand, successful dance—you don't stumble, trip, and fall into a successful identity. You don't stumble, trip, and fall into a stumble into into a successful identity. You design and install a successful identity. Kobe Bryant didn't stumble and fall into that work ethic. Kobe Bryant had this identity called the Mamba mentality. Yeah. Beyoncé didn't stumble and fall into that work ethic. Beyoncé had this identity called Sasha Fierce. Yeah, Deion Prime Time Sanders didn't stumble, trip, and fall into those results that he got on the football field. He had this identity called Prime Time. Will Smith had the Fresh Prince. Look at any successful person. I guarantee you there is an identity behind there that's pushing the thing. Now you trying to get the result, but you don't have an identity. Or you got an identity, but it's random. You got an identity, but you, you, your, your environment built it for you. I want you to sit down, figure out exactly what you want. Not what culture tells you to want. Not what people are trying to sell you. Not what society says you should. I want you to sit down, figure out what you want, what you really want. Not what you think you should do, not what a good person would do. Y'all got to stop with all this good person shit. Being a good person is not going to make you rich. Now, I'm not saying be a bad person, but you got to stop thinking that just because you a good person, abundance is going to find you. That, that, that's nowhere in the scripture. Like, God never promised you that. That was never said. Actually, what, what's in is the rich will get richer and the poor will lose a little bit. It's an identity. Like, it's a— you could be a good person and still have a bad, a screwed mindset around money. You can be a good person and still be poor because— and understand, being happens inside of you. So you got like some of the best people I know in the world are struggling. So I'm not saying it as a license, it's like, hey, go be a horrible person. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying to stop thinking that you're doing everything right just because you are a good person. And that your abundance is somehow gonna stumble and fall upon you because you're a good person. That's no, that's not. You gotta, you gotta be wealthy. You have not because you ask not. You gotta identify what you want and start sending your mind toward it. You have to realize that mean yeah, it's not enough just to be a good person. Now still be a good person, but imagine how much more good you could do with wealth. Imagine how much good you more good you could do with abundance. You struggling to help you. How you gonna help somebody else? Like, go give yourself permission to be wealthy. But yeah, you gotta design identity. It's not an accident. And like, the reason I really like push so much energy into designing identity, not installing—that's what you do after you design—but designing identity is because when you don't take time to design it, you end up building an identity. You end up building this identity that contradicts itself. Itself. And you'll be saying things like— you'll do your affirmations and you'll be saying things like, I'm booked and busy, I'm booked and busy, I got one client coming out and another client coming in, I'm in high demand, I'm booked out for the next 9 months, I'm booked and busy, I'm booked and busy. Oh, I'm so thankful and grateful that I'm booked and busy. Then you go down to your next affirmation and you say, I have unlimited time freedom, I take these 3-month-long vacations and I travel the world. Like, hold on, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Coach Jay, I don't know why I overthink. I do, because your values hierarchy is screwed up. How you booked and busy and you got unlimited time? What do you want, friend? Slow down, slow down. Because you so— like, most people think they know what they want. They don't know what they want. They know what they don't want, and they know a list of things that they're willing to do to get away from what they don't want. That's not the same thing as knowing what you want. What do you want, Jay? I want to stop eating carbs. No, you don't. You love carbs. Listen to what I asked you. What do you Stop eating carbs is something that you're willing to do to get away from what you don't want, but it's not what you want. Listen to what I'm asking you: What do you want? That got—that's what we start to build the identity around. What do you want? Not the politically correct and not what I think I should say. What do I want? Once we figure out what you want, then the work becomes: What would be the identity if I had it? What would I believe if I already had that? What would I think if I already had that? What would I expect if I already had that? That? What would be my internal dialogue if I already had that? What would be my temporal orientation if I already had that? How would I show up relationally if I already had that? We put all 12 of those dimensions to look like what they would look like if you already had that. And that's when the behavior accidentally flows. That's when the behavior accidentally flows. I'm working with a young man right now, really talented musician. And before we met, he was using willpower. He was using willpower. Session number 1. Hey man, what would be your identity if you was already selling out stuff across the world? What would be your identity if people around the world knew your music? What would be— what would you believe if that was already the result? What would be your temporal orientation that was already dissolved? What would all 12 of these dimensions look like if that was already the result? I've been working with this young man for 6, 7 weeks. He, Jay, man, you're not gonna believe who I just got off the phone He inboxed me on— I'm like, yeah, man, that's how it work when the identity is right. That's, that's what happens when the identity is right. I got another client I'm working with, and we were talking about protecting her investments. And one of the things that we decided that the version of her that already had that going would be doing is watering the grass. She would be watering the grass. She watered the grass one time. But we built the identity of, I'm the type of person that protects my— I'm the type of person that does— we wanted— we built that identity. After that, she said, Jay ain't had to water the grass, it just been raining every day. After she locked in the identity and she started doing her part, God said, okay, I'll water this grass for you. I just want to see you take a little— I just want to see you step in. I just want to see you step into the— But God started helping her to water the grass. Like, you— if you just step in, like, it's the difference between building And growing. I believe that self-development is something that you grow, it's not something that you build. Somebody's saying, Coach Jay, what does that mean? Think about it. You build a house, you grow a tree. You build a house, you grow a tree. If you want to build a house, you got to dig out a hole, you got to pour cement, you got to get the foundation, you got to get the framers, the electrician, the plumber, you got to get permits. It's a whole It's a lot of things you gotta do when you build a house. When you grow a tree, you gotta plant a seed and leave the seed in the ground. Like, do you see the difference between building and growing? I don't want you building your success. I want you growing your success. I want you to put the seed in the ground and water it with those 12 dimensions. Believe the things that you would believe if the tree was already there. Expect the things that you would expect if the tree was already there. Talk to yourself the way that you would talk to yourself if the tree was already there. That's what I use hypnosis to do. I don't use hypnosis to shift behavior. I use hypnosis to shift what's going on in here. But as we shift what's going on in here, you're gonna accidentally do some new stuff out there. I don't even think a lot of hypnotists understand that. They'll say, I'm working with this client and this is the result we're after, and, and it's like they're getting worse and worse every week. And I'm, and I'm like talking to them, asking questions, and all of their work is aimed at the behavior. All of their work that they're doing with the person going, screw the behavior. Forget the behavior. The behavior is not the problem. But Jay, they're not getting up at the time that they want to get up. They're not doing the thing. Behavior doesn't show up out of thin air. Before you procrastinated, you thought about something in here. You told a story in here. You felt something in your body before you gave up. Before you quit, you told yourself a story in here. You imagined something in here. You visualize something happened in here. Then you quit. Something happened in here, then you gave up. Like, if you jump into when they gave up, if you jump into when they procrastinating, if you jump into when they got— when they get angry. Like, it was a lady I was working with not too long ago. She, she was saying she had anger problems, she had issue problems. As we look at her identity diagnostic, her attentional focus was at like 12%. So that means she know— she only notices problems, she never notices solutions. Damn right you ain't Angry. Her attentional, her attentional focus was really low, and her emotional baseline was on the floor. You're not angry. You act. I actually feel sorry for you. Let's raise your attentional focus. Let's raise your emotional baseline. Oh, Jay, you don't understand what you've done for my marriage. The whole time she was working on the symptom. Anger was the symptom. It wasn't the problem. It was a symptom of the problem. The problem was attentional focus and emotional baseline. As we fixed emotional baseline and attentional focus. Because the anger disappeared that whole time. The anger was just a reflection of what was going on in the identity. So people in this room, I want you to think about whatever it is you've been struggling with, whatever you've been doing affirmations to try to get rid of. I want you to look at that, but realize that's not the problem. That's a symptom. That's a symptom of the problem. And if you got that ebook already, I want you to look through all 12 of those dimensions. You know what? If I try to name all 12 of the dimensions, I ain't gonna know which ones I named and which ones I hadn't. Let me put all 12 of the dimensions in front of me and we'll talk about what each one of them means. And as I describe these 12 dimensions, I want you looking at the ones that you might be struggling with. And I want you to realize these things are subconscious. Subconscious. Subconscious literally means under your consciousness. So as we talking about the subconscious, I don't care what you consciously think. I don't care what you consciously sat down and wrote in that damn notebook. I don't care. I don't care what you consciously say when you do those affirmations. I don't care what you consciously say when you do those incantations and you do your little 3s. I don't care about none of that conscious stuff. I care about what's going on subconsciously, because 90% of your life is lived subconsciously. You don't drive on purpose. You don't respond to your husband on purpose. You don't respond to your children on purpose. You don't feel your emotions on purpose. Subconscious takes care of all of that. Yeah, Travis, we gotta— we gotta change what you believe in. We gotta change what you expect, and we gotta change the story that you tell yourself. I'm gonna say this though, Travis, as somebody who's been there, it's, it's worse thing— it's worse things you, you could be caught up on. If you're gonna be caught up on something, that's not— that's not a bad place to be caught up. But yeah, well, you— but at the same time, you ready to shift it, we gonna shift I could think of worse places for you to be caught up, man. All right, so we're gonna look at all of these. They're in no particular order. This is the order that the identity diagnostic that I pulled up— oh, that, that I pulled up brought it on. So belief architecture. Belief architecture is what you believe on accident. I don't care what you believe on purpose. What do you believe? I know what you believe when you— I— money flows to me easily. I am abundant. I am a money man. I know what you believe right there. I want to know what you believe when you sitting in I want to know what you believe when the kids aren't listening. I want to know what you believe when it's getting close to, to the end of the month and it's looking like it's way more money left than— like, way more month left than money. I want to know what you believe in those times. That's belief architecture. Temporal orientation is how you exist in time. And when I look at temporal orientation, I'm looking at it from 2 different directions. The first direction I'm looking at it in is, what's your story of the past? What's your story of how you grew up and where you were raised and what it means about you? And did it make you or did it break you? Is your past an anchor or is it a rocket? Is it something that's propelling you towards your future or is it something that's anchoring you down and keeping you stuck? Another way that I'm looking at temporal orientation is, can you see a bridge between the person you are and the person you desire to be? And if, and if you can see the bridge, how complete How complete is that bridge? Is it 40% complete? Is it 50% complete? Is it 90% complete? And my goal is to turn the past into a rocket. I always want the past to be a rocket. I want the fact that you grew up in the projects, raised by single— I want that to be a resource to you, not a hindrance to you. I want that— I want that to be part of the reason you so successful, you so resourceful. I want that to be part of the reason you so good at figuring things out. I want that. I want— well, I'm gonna look at the past, we're gonna turn that into a rocket. I don't care what you've been through. I don't care who mistreated you, who touched you, who— what they did to you. We're gonna find a way to turn it into a rocket. We're gonna reframe it. We're gonna get it working for you instead of working against you. Then we're gonna do the work of building this bridge from Identity 1.0 to Identity 2.0. That's what— that's where my mind goes when I look at what we call belief— I mean, temporal orientation. Expectation patterns is simple. Do you expect things to work For you? When new opportunities show up, do you imagine it going wrong or do you imagine it working out? And I don't wanna know which one you using willpower to do. I wanna know which one do you do on accident? Where does your mind go? What does your mind do when you not telling it what to do? That's what I'm thinking about when I look at expectation patterns. Our relational self is how do you show up in relationship? Not just romantic relationships, but all relationship. How do you show up in professional relationship? How do you show up in Friendship. How do you show up romantically as well? But the thing that I'm looking at when I deal with relational self is, can you maintain the identity independent of who's sitting across from you? I used to I used to struggle with this thing where I knew I was funny. I knew I was charismatic. I knew I knew that I could work a crowd, but I only it was like I only had access to it in certain environments. I could do it with my friend group and people that I knew, but if it was certain people in the room that I had mentally put on a pedestal, if it was certain people in this room that my inter dialogue than certain— it was like this gift that God had gave me, I couldn't access it in certain rooms. That was relational self. It wasn't let me go take a speaking class. It wasn't let me go get in Toastmasters. It wasn't let me go study amazing orators and figure out how they do it. I could do all of that, but it still was going to be capped by my relational self. I had relational self-work to do. And as I raised my relational self, I don't care who's in the room now. I'm gonna shake President Obama's hand with the same confidence that I'm gonna shake my next-door neighbor's hand with. Like, because I've done the work on relational self. Identity resilience. Identity resilience is your ability to maintain the identity independent of what happens. Can you get punched in the face today, get all your teeth knocked out, and show up tomorrow? Identity resilience high, then yes. Identity resilience low, No. Identity resilience is one of my favorite dimensions, and I'll tell you why. I've coached hundreds of high performers. I've worked with high performers. I've worked with really successful people whose internal voice wasn't the best, whose perspective and worldview wasn't the best, whose expectations wasn't the best. I've never met a person who has accumulated long-term success that didn't have a high identity resilience. People who show up and get results time and time again, what you gotta understand about those people is not that they never fail, is that they always show up after Failure. It's not that they never miss a day at the gym; is that they can miss one day at the gym, but it doesn't turn into two weeks at the gym. It's not that they never say the wrong thing or put their foot in their mouth, but when they realize they've said the wrong thing, when they realize they put their foot in their mouth, they they don't wait and avoid the person. They go apologize and they repair the relationship. That's identity resilience. It's not about can you show up every day and be perfect. It's about even on imperfect even on imperfect days, can you still show up? Tomorrow. That, that's what we're looking at when we look at identity resilience. Can you stay in the game? Not can you win every round, can you stay in the game? Um, when we look at perspective and worldview, how do you take feedback when things don't work out? Like right now it's only 26 people in this TikTok room, man. I've had rooms with over 200 people in them. For whatever reason, it's only 27 people in here. As I look at perspective worldview, I want to know how you interpret that. Does that 27, only 27 people in here means you not good enough and the message isn't good and there's something fixed with you? Or do you look at it as, I don't know what they got going on with the algorithm, they should, they should probably work on that because this message is worthy of hundreds of eyeballs, this message is worth hundreds of eardrums? Like, I can see that number and that number doesn't move my confidence, that number doesn't change any of my other 12, that number doesn't change what I believe about myself. That's what I'm looking at when I look at perspective and worldview. How do you look at feedback? How do you look at this thing called reality? Because what you got to understand about reality is it's a pendulum. It's a pendulum. And if you swing with it, oh man, it's going to take you for a ride. Like, understanding that reality is a pendulum really helps you with the perspective and worldview. And what you got to understand about the pendulum is the further it swings this way, the further it's going to swing this way. Like, this is something that— this is one of the things that being married really taught me. Sometimes my wife would be pissed off. She like, you know, I don't even know what happened. She was, she was just in a good mood, now she's pissed off. But what I realized, for the pendulum that it is, I know if she, if she this pissed off, oh man, when that pendulum swings, she gonna be this excited. Now you gotta know that shit gonna swing back. What you gotta learn how to do is not go with the pendulum, and you'll be surprised the pendulum swings back when you don't go with it. Now if I go with the pendulum and I'm pissed off because you pissed off, I got attitude because you got attitude, I slam doors too. If I go with the pendulum, oh man, that pendulum gonna stay with that feel. But if I just refuse to go with the man, she pissed off. Which one of these kids? And now I know the pendulum gonna swing back, but now I'm gonna go ahead and tell a joke and help the pendulum swing. I'm not going with the pendulum. I'm gonna stay neutral, and I'm gonna watch that pendulum come back. That's what I'm looking for when I look at perspective and worldview. Can things not go your way, and you can things go left, and you not? Go with them. That, that's what I'm looking at with perspective and worldview. Can you have a TikTok room that didn't go the way that you thought it should go and still show up with the same amount of confidence tomorrow? Still show up with the same delivery in the— in that live? I've had events where people have paid me to show up and they told me, hey Jay, it's probably gonna be 750 people, it's probably gonna be 1,000 people there. I get there, it's 30 people. My perspective and worldview is, well shit, I got paid before I got here. These 30 people finna, finna get this These— I hope all 30 of y'all ready because I showed up with enough energy for 1,000 and there's only 30 of y'all. So I'm, I'm off the stage, I'm in the crowd. I'm— come here, let me see something. I want you to stand up, I want you to walk up to— oh, we got time because it's only 30 of y'all and it was supposed to be 1,000. I'm not gonna say, oh man, it's only 30, man. I ain't gonna talk to no 30 people. Who you think I— nah, bro, I'm gonna talk to these 30 people because my perspective and worldview, that didn't, that didn't move what's going on inside of me. And that's also tied into our 5 C's. If you don't know about the 5 C's, you gotta start coming around here more so you can know about the 5 C's. Okay. Um, where did we leave off at? Perspective. Inner voice. Inner voice is how do you talk to yourself? What's going on inside of your head? Is it your voice? I mean, a lot of people, their inner voice isn't even theirs. It's an ex-husband's, it's an ex-wife, it's a mom, it's a dad, it's a stepdad, it's a high school football coach. Inner voice is, I needed to be your cheerleader. I needed to talk you through it, not talk you out of it. Um, intentional focus. Intentional focus is, do you notice problems or do you notice solutions? Like, one of the things in the back of my mind as I'm raising my children, one of the things in the back of my mind with the clients that I work with, I want you to be the type of person that sees oak trees where other people see acorns. That's how I look. That's what— that's the metaphor that comes to my mind when I think about intentional focus. I want you to be the type of person to see oak trees where other people see acorns. I want you— I want somebody to say, look at this acorn. You say, what acorn? They said this one. You said, oh, you talking about the oak tree? My fault. They said it's not an oak tree, this is an acorn. You said, no, that's an oak tree. I want you to see what things can be. I want you to see the potential in things. I want you to see million-dollar business where other people see good idea but the economy won't allow me to do it. I want you to see 27 people where other people see 27 people. I want you to see what things can sprout because you got to think, man, God is such a dope creator. If God can fit an oak tree inside of an acorn, Imagine what God could fit in my big old head. If God could fit that big old tree in that little old seat, imagine what God could put inside of you. So I want you to see bestselling books where other people see good idea, right? I want you to see billion dollar business where other people see good idea. Okay? I want you to see 25 people Well, other people see 25 people. That, that's what I'm looking at when I look at attentional focus. Somatic identity is what's going on in your body. Are you carrying guilt in your gut? Are you carrying responsibility in your shoulders? Do you get these weird tension headaches and you don't know where the hell they come from? That's what I'm looking at when I'm looking at somatic identity. Behavior responses is I'm looking at how effortlessly, not with willpower, how effortlessly does your behaviors align with your Thoughts. That's what I'm looking at with behavior responses. I always tell you guys that I don't care about the affirmations you say. In my opinion, behavior, and in my well-researched, well-documented, thousands of sessions later opinion, because some people just got opinions and it ain't— the opinion ain't standing on shit. But in my opinion, behavior is the strongest form of affirmation. I can say I am abundant, I am wealthy, I am abundant, I am wealthy, or I could pick up this phone and I can Apple Pay my little sister $10 and say, hey sis, coffee on big bro this morning. I want to see how do the behaviors align with this identity that we're building. And it's, it's just feedback. It's not a reason to beat yourself up. It's not a reason to give up. It's feedback. But behavior is one of the things that I'm measuring. Okay, if you believe that, how is it showing up in your behavior? If you expect that, how is it showing up in your behavior? If it's true, how is it showing up in the behavior? And if it's not showing up in the behavior, That's a good indicator. We got it. We got some work to do. We got to get in here and dig around and see why is it not showing up in the behavior. Values hierarchy. Values hierarchy is what do you want and in what order do you want it? What do you want and in what order do you want it? Most people don't have a values hierarchy. And this is kind of getting back into this thing I was talking about with the good person thing. Like a lot of times when I'm sitting down working with somebody on their values hierarchy, I'm saying, okay, in this season of your life, for the— so for the next 3 months, for the next 90 days, what's priority number 1? Well, Jay, my spiritual life is— shut up. You about to get kicked out of your house, you about to lose your car, you talking about your— I didn't say what's the most important thing forevermore. In this season of your life, what is priority 1? Because when we don't have a priority 1, when we don't have a priority 2, and we don't have a priority 3, that means All things are equal. And if all things are equal, that means they— whatever is the loudest is going to get your attention. When we first moved from Washington State down to Dallas, I had to sit my family down. Hey guys, for the next 4 or 5 months, priority number one is Identity 2.0. Priority number one is dad's practice. Priority number one is husband's practice. So I'm not saying we're not going to go on no dates, but you know, we're not going to be going on dates every weekend. I'm not saying that I won't come to any soccer games, but I'm telling you now, son, I'm about to miss some soccer games. I'm about to miss some soccer games. But guess what? Because I made Identity 2.0 priority one for a few months, guess what? No longer has to be priority one because it's thriving now. It's doing what I need now. But if identity is— Jay, it's all important. The business is important. The marriage is important. The soccer games are important. The dates are important. Listen, for this season of your life, what's on fire? What is the first fire we need to put out? Because you could try to put all these fires out at once and you're going to burn your whole life. But what if the one fire, if we put it out, that'll make all these other fires easier to put out? Okay. Getting Identity 2.0, doing what we needed to do, that's gonna make— we going all the dates we want now, baby. Son, I can make the soccer games. I'm in so much demand. I can tell, hey, no, I'm, I'm not Wednesdays at 4. I got somewhere to be and my bills are paid. Counseling session, don't show. I, I really don't care. Wednesdays at 4, I got somewhere to be, my son. Now when the business is, is struggling, I gotta say, hey son, only time they can make it is Wednesday at 4 and they got $600 that week. Need. So I'm gonna have to miss the game. So you see what I'm talking about when I say values? We got to figure out in this season of my life what's priority 1, what's priority 2, what's priority 3. And then once we figure out what's priority 1, 2, and 3, we gotta start living as if that's priority 1 and that's priority 2 and that's priority 3. We start making decisions as if that's priority 1. Because it's one thing to create a values hierarchy but keep living the same way you've been living. Why did you create the damn hierarchy? And understand that your values hierarchy should change four or five times a year. Okay, if you got aging parents and one of your parents failed yesterday, guess what? Values hierarchy just fucking shifted, didn't it? One of your kids sick, values priority probably just shifted. Well, somebody in the marriage dropped the D word, values priority probably just shifted, right? Like it's not saying this is gonna be this way for the rest of my life, but it is saying hey. Based on everything that's going on right now, this is what needs 80% of my attention, and the rest of this stuff got to share the 20%. And another reason I'm so like gung-ho on values hierarchy, because as I get into scripture and study and I get in Genesis and I watch the best creator to ever create create, one of the things I realized is that he creates one thing at a time, and he don't move to the next thing till he notices that the previous thing is good. He creates in this very orderly fashion. He didn't sit down and say, "Let there be a world. Let there be everything. Do do this. Do this." Nah, he said, "Okay, okay. First off, it's dark in here. Let there be light." Okay, that's good. All right, let's put this over here. Let's put this over there. Okay, I like that. Yeah, let's separate the night from. If you look, God is doing one thing at a time. If the best creator to ever create is creating one thing at a time, the arrogance of me to sit down and assume I'm gonna fix my whole life in one sitting. Come on. Come on now. Come on now. No. What, what are we going to fix first? If you came into my office and we, let's say you did a, a deep dive session. So we got 2 hours we finna spend together. You say, all right, Jay, I'm so glad I'm on the schedule. Check this out. I wanna quit smoking. I wanna lose 30 pounds. I wanna be more confident. And Jay, I really wanna be more romantic. I gotta start showing up for my wife. I'm gonna say, cool, which one you wanna do first? You gonna say, well, Jay, I wanna quit smoking. I wanna lose some weight. I wanna show up as the husband I know I can be. And I wanna be more. I'm gonna say, cool. So how, how you wanna, you wanna spend 30 minutes on the smoking? 30 minutes on the husband stuff, 30 minutes on, on the— like, how you want to do it? Like, let me tell you something, you're gonna get your best bang for the buck if we pick one of those things. Because for me to do a really thorough job on a quit smoking session, I need to ask you a lot of questions. I need to figure out what, what triggers you to smoke. I need to figure out when you accidentally forget to smoke. I need to figure out when— what's your favorite cigarette? Like, I got a lot of questions about this cigarette. But if you want me to compress what I would typically take 2 hours to do And do it in 30 minutes, I'm gonna do a half-ass job and you're gonna get a half-ass result. Then we're gonna go to your marriage and I'm gonna do a half-ass job. You gonna get a half-ass result. And all those, you gonna see improvement in all those areas, but not the improvement you was looking for. But if we just pick one of those subjects and we put the entire 2 hours on that one subject, oh man, you gonna accidentally forget to remember to, to smoke. Or we spend that 2 hours on how you show up in the marriage, man, you gonna accidentally start coming home with flowers. You gonna accidentally start Or being more romantic. So it's not, Jay, I gotta fix my whole life. You're not gonna fix your whole life by trying to fix your whole life. Like, I'm gonna give you another example just to really drive this point home. Imagine if you're cleaning up and you start in the kitchen, okay? You've been cleaning up in the kitchen for about 2 minutes and you see something to go upstairs. So you grab this thing to go upstairs, you take it upstairs. While you upstairs, you notice that your son's bed not made. So you gonna make your son's bed. Then you finish making his bed. He said, oh yeah, I was cleaning the kitchen. And you head back down to the kitchen. But as you going down the stairs, you see something go in your bedroom. So you gonna put that in your bedroom. Let's say you spend an hour playing this game, you sweating, your heart racing, you done, you done worked up a sweat. And but you look around, it's like, I haven't got anywhere. When you have gotten somewhere, but 3% of your results over there, 2% of your results over there, 1% of your results. So you look around and if you got kids, they've been undoing it as you did, as you did. So you really ain't got nowhere. And you feel, but you, but you're like, I put all this energy into it. I put all this work into it. And why am I so tired and I haven't got anywhere? Because you didn't focus your effort. You just, you didn't focus your effort. I used to own a cleaning company, and the way that I would train my cleaners to clean, first off, you always got a caddy, and that's with all your stuff that you need sometime. But the stuff that you know for a fact you're gonna need, like your vinegar and water and your multi-surface and your rags and your, your razor blade, that's, that's around your waist. That, that's in your, your apron. And your multi-surface need to be on the left, and your vinegar and water need to be on the Right. And I want these things in a place where you don't even gotta look down. You know where they at without even looking down. And when you walk in the room, I want you to step to the right of the door. I want you to clean everything that you can clean right there, and I want you to take a step to the right. Now I want you to clean everything that you can right there, and I want you to take a step to the right. If you see something that doesn't go in that room, I want you to throw it out into the hallway, slide it out into the hallway. And we gonna get all the things that don't go in this room, we gonna get 'em out in the center. We gonna get 'em out of the room. But we not finna go run upstairs 15 times while we cleaning this kitchen. You gonna take another step to the right and you gonna clean everything you can and you gonna keep doing that till you make it back to the other side of that door. Then you gonna sweep and mop and walk outta that room. When, when we first started the, the company, we didn't have that system. As I put that system in place, houses that used to take them 6 hours to clean was taking them 2 hours to clean. That's how I want you to start looking at your— okay, I know I need to fix the finances. I know the marriage could use some work. I know I gotta spend more time with, with the kids. Which one of these things am I finna get on— am I finna get on lock first? Think about it. They all screwed up now. You ain't died yet. So how would it hurt for you to make one the priority, go ahead and get it out of the way, then to make the next thing the priority? You already ain't got enough money. You already mad and sleeping in 2 different rooms. Like, which one am I finna fix? The money or the sleeping in the 2 different rooms? Which one am I going to fix first? Not which one am I gonna fix and ignore all the other ones forever. Which one am I going to fix first? It's such a powerful question. And now you putting all of your effort in this one direction instead of 3% of it over here, 2% over there, 1% of it over there. People always push back on this session. I'm gonna tell you what I, what I tell them. Once you hire me, I don't work for you. I work for Identity 2.0. I don't work for the version of you that's struggling. I work for the version of you that's thriving. So I'm not afraid to piss off the version of you that's struggling to uncover the version of you who thriving, because that's who hired me in the first place. I don't work I work for you. I work for future you. I work for Identity 2.0. That's literally the name of our practice, Identity 2.0. That's why I don't work for you. I work for Identity 2.0 for sure. Then the last thing is emotional baseline. Emotional baseline is not the highs, it's not the lows. It's if I followed you around for a week, what would be the average of your emotions? Not the highs, not the lows, not the best times, not the worst times, but if we averaged everything good, bad, up, where do you fall emotionally? And that's what I'm looking at when I say, when I say emotional baseline. So when I talk about identity, guys, I want to be crystal clear. I'm not just talking about this vague idea about how do you feel about yourself. That's not identity. It's a piece of identity, but that's not identity. When I'm looking at identity, I'm looking at all 12 of those things that we just talked about. I'm looking at all 12 of those things that we just talked about, and I'm looking for, I'm looking for contradiction. I'm looking for where one is pulling you left, but the other one is pulling you right. I'm looking for things like, Jay, I believe in myself, but I don't think I can do it. Or I think I could do it, but I don't feel like I could do it. Or sometimes I could do it, but sometimes I can't do it. I'm, I'm, I'm looking for these contradictions. And that's where we go in and we work the magic and we work the— it looked like magic, but it's not magic. It's really basic neuroscience. And if parts of your psychology are fighting each other, I'm not surprised that you overthinking. I'm not surprised that you procrastinating. That's what procrastination is. Now you gotta You gotta understand that the brain is like, not even just the brain, but your nervous system is a prediction machine. It constantly makes a prediction and then asks yourself, what do I need to do to survive this prediction I just made? It makes a prediction, then asks itself, what do I need to do to survive this prediction that I just made? But what you gotta understand, if the prediction is things never work out for me, you can't trust people, they scam me, everybody's out to get me, procrastination is actually a healthy behavior. You said, because, yeah, I don't wanna procrastinate. I'm not saying I'm glad you procrastinating, but I'm saying understanding how a nervous system works. If the prediction is things never work out for me, procrastination is your nervous system saying, well, let's stop. Why are we going over there to fail? So it's not about Coach Jay, how do I get rid of the procrastination? No. How do we get rid of the prediction that's causing the procrastination? Procrastination is healthy based on the prediction you're making. It's like if you watching a sad movie and you say, Coach Jay, I don't know why I'm crying and I'm watching this sad movie. I say, turn the movie off because, Jay, I don't want to turn the movie off. Everybody, this is my family movie. My mama watches movie. My grandma watches movie. And I'm saying, but if you want to feel better, you got to turn the movie. Because say I don't want to turn the movie off. I just want to feel better. You listen. You got to pick. You want either going to watch this movie or you going to feel better. You supposed to. You supposed to feel sad when you watching a sad movie. That's how nervous system works. Turn on a funny movie and watch how you accidentally laugh. You supposed to be nervous if you looking over the edge of a cliff. How to get rid of the predictions? Those 12 things I just showed you. The predictions are a result of what you believe, what you expect, what are you carrying in your body, how are you talking to yourself, what's going on temporally, what's going on somatically. All 12 of those things is how we fix the predict— the prediction isn't one thing, it's all 12 of those things playing together in some instances, working against each other in some instances. And when we meet people and all 12 of those things are already firing in the right direction, it typically boils down to a clarity problem. Anybody who wants to take an identity diagnostic, if you're on TikTok, inbox me. Or if you're on TikTok, click that little orange button down at the bottom. Let me go on TikTok. Let me look at something. What time is it? I gotta, I gotta get ready to get off here. I gotta get to work. I gotta get to work. I gotta hypnotize some people. Okay, can I get the link? If you click that orange button down there in the bottom left, it should be there. Let me see if it's Yep, if you click that orange button down there in the bottom left, you will see something to say start your Identity 2.0 diagnostic. If you fill that out, I will text you the information for your identity diagnostic. Identity diagnostic is $99. It will take you about 30 minutes to take, and, um, after you take it, you'll give me roughly 48 hours. Sometimes I can get to it quicker. Quicker. But, um, you'll give me a day or so to build your identity diagnostic, and I'm gonna put together an actual clinical report. You and I gonna get on Zoom, and we're gonna talk about your identity from top to bottom. We're gonna talk about every angle of your identity. We're gonna talk about what's working for you, what's working against you, what's keeping you stuck, and most importantly, what needs to change to get you thriving. Then a cool thing about the identity diagnostic, if you do decide to work with me or you want to do a session with me, The $99 that you spent on the identity diagnostic goes toward the cost of your session. So the reason that I make the identity diagnostics cost money is cuz they were free, everybody would take them. But the fact that they $99, they keep unserious people off of my calendar. Uh, y'all, I, I become really rude when I'm talking to unse— I don't, I'm, I'm, I, I, I can't deal with, not, not in this area. Like you ain't gotta be serious about everything, but when it come to Identity when it comes to this type of stuff. I, I, I don't have patience for unserious people. So that's why we put that $99 doorway in front of the identity diagnostic, because I put a lot of time and energy into like building those reports and understanding what's going on in those ports. And you got it, Goliath. People don't take free things serious because we used to have a version of it that was free. I would be waiting for people on Zoom who didn't show up, or they would show up and they'd be driving and they can't even focus on the car. And I said, oh no, Nah, we ain't doing this no more. But ever since we've been charging, people show up. We got the undivided attention. What's going on, Raven? Appreciate you, appreciate you, appreciate you.
