Trust is something that inherently takes time to build. Human beings are not built to trust immediately. And as salespeople, we have to tie the fact that we in most cases, haven't spoken to who we need to speak to with. I need them to trust me right away. The way that you build trust first is you want to do your research on the company that you're contacting, and you want to make sure that you feel comfortable that there is a product problem to solve or something that they're doing well that you can continue to build upon. So the first step in building trust is, am I reaching out to them with a reason, and is my intention clear, and is it the right thing? You build trust starting on call number one, and if you have a poor intention, trust can't be built.
