Six attendees from the 2019 Sales Assembly conference in Chicago share why it mattered to them. They praise the practical tactics they could use immediately, the chance to step outside their own company for fresh perspective, and the community it built around sales in the local tech scene.
For so long, I feel sales was the forgotten child in the Chicago tech community. I feel sales assembly has really been able to bring a community together for us to be able to forge a culture of sales and learn from each other and create a really great atmosphere for our teams to thrive.
We're a big believer in sales assembly and the conference as a whole. There's an incredible value to get very organized and have a lot of sales and marketing leaders in one space that share common goals, common pains and a common geo.
The thing that keeps us coming back is all the tactical tips that we learn along the way. It's all those little sound bites that are so incredibly valuable at the time that we take back and implement in our organization. And it's really helpful.
It's an opportunity to just take a step away from the business and and learn from others and not have that insular focus. If we want to get some outside in perspective or bounce ideas off other companies, this is going to be the platform to be able to do it. Which is one of the main reasons we come back to these often. What
keeps my team coming back specifically is it feels like there's something for everybody. It's so nice being able to meet and interact with other Chicago tech people that are relevant and are going through some of the same stuff that we're going through
as always with Sal's assembly, about the caliber of people that they bring to the table. They have exceptional speakers who represent big range of disciplines and companies and it has been, as always, a very insightful experience and a good time to reflect on our own work.
