EMF, Energy & Healing: How to Protect Yourself in a Tech-Saturated World | Dan Stachowski
17 Jun 2026 · 33 min
Dan Stachowski, co-founder of Essential Energy, discusses how artificial electromagnetic fields from Wi-Fi, phones, and screens cause cellular stress, inflammation, and fatigue. About 3.2% of Americans have severe electro-hypersensitivity. He recommends phone-free mornings and evenings, keeping phones 6-10 feet away, and using wearable harmonic plates that reflect natural light frequencies to counteract EMF exposure.

Well, I am so thrilled to meet one of my new friends, Uh, we are in a group together called the Holistic Leadership Council, and Dan and I just immediately hit it off when we started talking about energy. This is the beautiful man, Dan Stahovsky, and he has a story to tell and a lot to teach us today on energy, all things energy, EMF, et cetera, et cetera. So Dan, why don't you share a little bit about your family story and how you— how the heck did you get into NRG?
Yeah.
And then we'll just go deep from there.
Great. Well, Jen, thank you so much for having me on. I've been looking forward to this, so I'm excited for this conversation. Thanks for having me here. It has been a journey. There's no question about it. We did not write this story when my wife and I first got married. But we're grateful, we're stronger, we're better because of it. And we get to share a story now with millions of people. And I think we're impacting lives and we're grateful for that impact. We had— like a lot of us, we have— when I think about EMF health or electric, you know, the impact of that, it's very personal, whether we are personally suffering from an impact of all the energy, the frequencies, the technology around us, or someone we know is, is very personal. And I respect that impact because it's not, it's a very different thing than maybe, I mean, mental health, physical health, social, these things are all personal in their nature. But this aspect of technology, it's so pervasive and affects us so deeply. We're on it all the time. We can't escape from it. And there's a sense that you get trapped, or what do you do with it? And we want to avoid that. We want to help give ourselves a path out of that. And that's really our story is we came into this frequency world through a door where we needed to help our daughter. It was kind of a Hail Mary aspect of what are we going to do to help her? She had a lot of complications, but the one that really— Yeah. Stuck with us that we couldn't fix was this primary immune deficiency. She just had a really hard time. Her system could not produce enough T cells to fight off infections. So every time, maybe 2, 3, 4 times a year, she'd get an infection and have to go to the hospital and get a lot of antibiotics, a lot of care. And over time, and she was little from the age of 1 when she had her first febrile seizure Mm-hmm. To when she was 7, when we, we got into frequency stuff, it was, it was kind of a, you could set your clock by it. So every 2 to 3 months you knew something was, you know, that was when the system would wear down. And we were working with some of the best doctors in the world around this. We were at the Children's Hospital and they were so human and so caring and, and interested in helping her, but their tool sets were just not enough. And that made us start to look outside the box and realize that we are, we were designed to heal. I believe that. I believe that we, our bodies aren't broken. I don't think her body was broken. I just think that the environment that she was born into was complicated and challenging for her and her system just didn't fully develop. And so we needed to support that.
Mm-hmm.
The challenge is that despite what we do, we only have so many years in our life. And so, our goal with Jane was how do we give more life to her years? How do we really give her the best? And we did, we found some remedies, we'll talk about that. And the last 7 years of her life, she passed away maybe about 4 years ago now, but the last 7 years were totally different. She was, she developed, she grew, she got more engaging, she impacted people's lives, and it's a lasting impact. I still have people calling me and texting me and saying how much they think about her. She was a bright light, she was an angel, and she set us on a course to realize, to think about the environment we're in, how do we help curate a healthy environment so that our bodies can, can live the holistic, vibrant life they were designed to and, and be the— and we can be all that we were, all that we were called to and live into our calling.
I love that. So when you talk about environment, let's go down that path. So help me understand what you mean by environment. Is it our physical environment or mental environment, emotional, all of it? So talk a little bit about your definition of an environment, and then let's talk about some solutions, and then I have a lot more questions for you.
Sure thing. Yeah, so the environment I think of, I think about it as the ecosystem we live in. If you take everything into consideration, when we're home, for instance, in our home, we have the, and I'm thinking about it from a technology perspective or electrical components. So, what is producing energy that's artificial in our environment? So, it could be the lights, the lighting that we have. It could be the Wi-Fi router, the— all the wireless technology, the smart meters. If you have solar panels, so the inverters, the— all the electrical environment, the technology that we surround ourselves with, how often are we on our phones, the blue screens, that social media use, this environment that is not what we— it's different than what it was 200 years ago.
Right, so we haven't evolved to be in this type of environment. Our bodies are not designed to be in this type of environment.
Exactly. And we were designed to be in this natural environment where we receive frequencies and energy and information and nutrition from the sunlight, from plants, from animals, from each other, from natural environments. But what we don't, can't handle is the artificial frequencies, these man-made technologies that influence us. They still put out energy and frequency that create an imbalance in our system. It's like static on our cells. And that creates this stress. And it's hard to pinpoint because sometimes we don't realize we're like the frogs kind of in that boiling pot of water. We don't realize the environment that we've created and the impact that has on our health.
I was just going to ask that question is how does somebody know if their environment is affecting them? I read a book called The Invisible Rainbow many, many years ago, Arthur Firstenberg, something like that, that it was the first time I ever thought about, oh, electricity and all these things that are hitting us and we are electrical beings, right? We have an energy field around us. So how would somebody know whether they're being impacted? Is it only when they show up as having sickness, illness, or could it also be going on in like anxiety? Like, how does somebody know?
All of it. Yeah, all of it. I think if you were to go search, do a search online and put in any of your symptoms and then ask, does EMF contribute to this in any way? You're gonna find there is a correlation because we are electrical beings. Our nervous system is electrical. Our cells are signaling and communicating to each other all the time on electromagnetic frequencies. So one of the things I talk about is that it's not the EMF that is the problem, it's the type of EMF, 'cause there's natural EMF. It's how our bodies communicate. That is natural. That's perfect. But it's the artificial manmade or what they call non-native EMF. Mm-hmm. EMF that creates the stress. And when we have stress on our bodies, that creates inflammation, and that inflammation can lead to disease, and that disease causes these symptoms. So Arthur Firstenberg, he did a history of that and showed how even in the 1800s, they had diagnosed a condition called neuroasthenia, or an allergy to electricity. And the symptoms that were associated then in the 1800s are the same ones we associate with electrohypersensitivity today. So things haven't changed, just the environment has. We have the one quadrillion, or one with 18 zeros behind it, more artificial frequencies surrounding us today than we did in the year 1900.
Wow.
That's just a toxic level that our bodies—
That's just shocking.
There's only so much we can handle. It's incredible how resilient God has made our bodies Mm-hmm. But there's only so much that we can put it through before we tip over. So right now, the latest data from maybe, it's about, it's a little old, it's probably like 5 or 7 years old, says there's 3.2% of Americans have a severe case of electrohypersensitivity. That means, what is it, about 10 million or so are really, like, they can't get outta their house. Their skin is burning, they're itching, They will choose to go to places where there's no lights, or they'll ask every time they go somewhere, they're the last people to turn their phones off. They're that sensitive. They could be driving down the highway and around the corner is a cell tower and they'll feel it before they see it.
Wow.
So when they feel it, what happens? Yeah, that skin might get itchy, brain fog, fatigue, their eyes burn, they could have chronic diseases. So that's something Arthur correlated is that heart disease, cancer, diabetes, mitochondrial dysfunction is also in there, metabolic dysfunction. So if you're having a hard time remembering things, if you have a hard time with managing your stress or anxiety, Today, with the amount of social media use, if you have a hard time with mental health or feeling isolated or depression, those are all contrib— all aspects of this. The other thing is that it affects our hormones actually and our endocrine system.
Wow.
So issues like fertility or thyroid or just hormone balance can be dramatically affected by the electromagnetic fields around us. Because of how that affects the hypothalamus and the pineal gland and the regulators that drive the rest of our systems can be affected by that. And that can affect our digestion and just how we regulate our system and produce energy within the body.
So what are some things that we can do knowing that we're in this technological age, right? I mean, when COVID happened, everybody went on Zoom. We all went online, right? So we started losing, you know, even more connection with each other. We all have cell phones. So, what are some things we can do to protect our own energy and our environment? Because it's not just our bodies, but it's the environment we're sitting in.
Yeah, I think there's some simple steps we can take that sound simple, but because of our habits, they become harder. But I like to extend the gaps that already exist. So, when you wake up in the morning, there is a gap there between when you wake up and when you look at your phone. Try to extend that. Right now, most people, it's 30 seconds. It's like, as soon as you wake up, you want to see what your phone is saying. There's a fear of missing out. What headlines came up? I know during COVID that was a big thing for me. I had to see what was the latest thing that happened? What was going on? And you kind of got into this habit of doing that. I want to extend that gap. If you can extend that gap all the way up to an hour, give your body an hour to adapt to the natural sunlight the natural circadian rhythm that you have and that, that flow of the morning, you're gonna see a, a change in your neurological function as well as your stress management.
So does that mean you also don't turn on the artificial lights and all that when you get up in the morning? You get outside, get some natural sunlight, things like that.
If you can do that, it's even better. They talk about sun gazing, watching that sunrise there during the sunrise, there are wavelengths that are unique to that time of day that help drive your melatonin production for your sleep that night, your digestion regulation. So yeah, if you can avoid the artificial light and get outside or open a window and just look at the sun for 5 or 10 minutes and it's, you know, not directly the sun but right off—
Right.
About 15 degrees off. Let that natural warmth of the sunrise come in, and actually it doesn't matter if it's cloudy or not. Those same wavelengths are still passing through the clouds, so you do it even if it's cloudy. Just give yourself those 10 minutes to look at the sun in the morning or be exposed to the sun, and if you can, in a short-sleeve shirt, try to get as much skin exposure, but those are gonna help you— Mm-hmm. With that adjustment to the start of your day.
Well, and it's interesting because I know I pivoted to using my phone for my alarm, right? We all used to have alarm clocks. Now everybody's using their phone.
Right.
So that means you're looking at it at least to turn off the alarm.
Right.
So even shifting something like that and going back old school or finding another way or doing it in another, put your phone in another room.
Those are all great, great habits. I end up getting an inexpensive battery-operated alarm clock from online, and it works great. It's all you need to have your alarm. So then what our phone is, yeah, we're charging our phone. There are times where you just have to have your phone on you, certain occupations, you need your phone around. So I'm not so concerned about the phone being in a different room, as long as it's on the other side of the room, maybe at least 6 to 10 feet away from you, that, that actual separation from the phone actually has been shown to help your mental health state as well.
Okay.
Initially, it's really hard to be away from your phone. You know, you want it to be attached to you, but if you can be set apart 10 feet away, there is a mental, a neurological change that happens. So I encourage you, put it on the other side of the room or down in a different part of the room if you can, or another part of the house. That'll help out a lot. And it also helps you at nighttime. So the same thing about that gap in the morning, we want that gap at night. We want that at least an hour. Just allow your mind to go, to get quiet. Mm-hmm. And process the day without looking at your news feeds or your social media. Your phones have, I think, about 5 or 6 antennas on them. They have the cellular, the radio, the GPS, the Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi. All that is beaming all the time. So, you want to remove that from you right before you go to bed. And also, the blue light from that screen has been known to affect the eyes and the hypothalamus and all. So— Yeah. Give yourself that gap.
Those are— Does putting your phone in airplane mode help at all?
It can. It doesn't help as much as you would think it would. It, because it's still, even in airplane mode, you still have the electrical and the magnetic fields from the phone itself. You may not have the radio frequency, the RF and the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth, but you still have just from the electrical field and the magnetic fields, is more than your body is naturally supposed to be exposed to. So while it's less, it's still more than you should have.
Okay, so that's a good morning routine. What, what else throughout the day? What else can people do? I know you have beautiful devices. We'll definitely talk about that. But what else can somebody do during the day?
Yeah.
To protect their energy field?
The other thing would be look for how can you hardwire your computer or your tablet or your phone. Tablets and phones can also be connected to Ethernet for internet. They don't have to be wireless. You can get accessories that are adapters that connect right into the Ethernet cable. So when we talk about hardwiring, we mean the internet, like turn the Wi-Fi part of the router off and connect right into the cable. You can also get blue light protecting glasses. So when we're looking at the screens, we're not having that blue light come through. It's more, it's about how do you use technology less? And the less wireless technology is gonna be better. And the more like get up and I call 'em like, little exercise snacks. Take every hour, take 5 or 15 minutes and just do a little walk. Get up from the computer, get outside, go talk with somebody, make a phone call to a friend, make these other connections as well. Because what happens in our technology world, we get isolated. And so we want to be connecting with other people as much as we can. So make sure at least once or twice during the day, you're making time for a personal connection. The— and those are, I mean, from a— from the technology environment, those are going to go a long way.
Okay.
The other thing is nutrition and fitness. And so, we have a platform that we like to encourage people to go on to around the EMF Health that has fitness and nutrition, but also we have coaching around building daily habits, around how to build in those gaps, and how to help people start to get disconnected from their technology and more connected with themselves and with others. So, it is a lifestyle. I think a lot of people think of EMF as, "Hey, let's block or shield," and one and done. But I find more than anything, it is a lifestyle that we want to encourage back into this healthy, natural connection with— Yeah. With our nature, with our creation, with the environment, and with other people.
Okay. Yeah, and I'm sure you might know the stat. The number keeps getting increasing more and more is how many times we pick up our phones a day. I think the last number I saw maybe 5 years ago was like 270 times on average per day we were picking up. If you step back from that and you think, oh, if you drank 270 glasses of wine, or you, you know, you look at that the number of times, right? It's an addiction. There's a dopamine hit people get when they pick up their phones. They're like, oh yeah, right? Looking to see what's going on. And I learned from the grandmothers when I worked with them that we're not really, as human beings, meant to know what's going on around the world. We're meant to know local, right? Connect to our local community. You know, be involved in gardening and all those things. But knowing that there's a war going on around the world, Right. It hijacks our nervous system. So we're constantly in this state of fight or flight. So how, how does that connect into the EMF world?
It's getting to be more and more apparent, the long-term effects of this. There are children who were born after the iPhone was released in 2008, and they have had a phone or a tablet on them from day one. And there are now cases, what they call digital dementia, where they do an MRI scan of these 18, 19, 20-year-olds and their brains look like an 80 or 90-year-old that has Alzheimer's. Wow. Wow. And so there's been a dramatic shift in their brain development because of the use of the phones and the tablets and the technology. And it has been associated— they did a, a, a meta study of, of research over the years with fi— over 500,000 participants. And this affects psychological, physiological issues including burning eyes, wrist pain, neck, shoulder pain, chest pain, stomach pain, nausea, headaches, even muscle pain. And then it goes into executive functions where we're having decreased executive functions and memory loss. It affects our body image, our mood, our well-being. And if you— the earlier you have your children on smartphones, the more likely they are to have anxiety, they have self-image issues, and even suicidal thoughts. So this is— it's more of a— it's less of an inconvenience anymore. And now I look at it as a crisis that we have allowed ourselves to create these habits. And surrounded by this. And it's really hard to get away from it. So, what do you do? Because how do you not have a smartphone? My daughter just started driving. How do you not give her a phone?
Right.
And so, we look to how do we maybe not use a smartphone? Can we go back to the dumb phones?
Yeah, or the flip phones, right?
Right? And they're on a program or a plan where they only have so many minutes. 'cause it's just meant for texting and calling. Like, those things are doable and they are actually impacting the child's ability to then have executive function as she becomes a young adult and goes into her 20s. And if we give them this, the neurological impact is real, but also the physiological, the impact on the immune system. So what are we setting them up for in their 30s and 40s. Because sometimes our bodies are resilient up until a point, and then they tip over. And we want to avoid that. We want to give them a healthy life and steward the life we have. And so knowing all that, I think that it's both lifestyle, but it's also tools. We need to have some— a way to create an environment around us that is beneficial and helps restore that environment in and around us. Mm-hmm. 'Cause like with Jane, like it wasn't, you know, her, she didn't, she had an immune system that wasn't fully functioning, but the environment was also making it harder for her body to fight off infections.
Right.
It wasn't just that her body couldn't, didn't have, because what we found is as we incorporated these frequency tools, all of a sudden she was able to fight off the infection. She's an extreme case because she had that primary immune deficiency. The rest of us deal with it and we just put up with it. We think, oh, I'm just depressed, I'm going to take an antidepressant. Or I think, oh, I am infertile, I'm going to go do some fertility, whatever.
IVF.
Right. And we're going to spend a fortune doing that. When studies show from 2018, there were two studies back to back that showed that the exposure to EMF affects male fertility and progesterone levels in women. So, and we see this on the farm. So part of my, the solution that I have has the ability to not just help individuals, but it helps foams and agriculture, so farms. And we see with dairy cows, we see that their fertility rates are restored within just months, like very quickly. And that the bulls become stronger in their fertility. So if it's working for them, how can it, you know, it's also working for us.
Right. So let's, let's pivot into Essential Energy. So tell us more about your devices and how they can support us on this technologically advanced world that we're living in.
Yeah. So as we were at part of our story, we had a young child and I was in the software world. I was in technology. Technology, working with some of the top industry, top tech firms, building out the cloud, the internet, you know, the AI and all of this, all that we're dealing with today. Back in the early 2010s, we were, that was all developing. I needed to keep that. I mean, that was my career, but I was learning about EMF and I said, how do I, how can I bring both of these things together? Because I thought the only, typically at that time you thought, well, we have to change careers. Move to the mountains and get, get away from it. What we found was we, we, we met the inventor, his name's Noel, who helped us. He had been developing, uh, a technology since the early '90s, and these were resonant, but they were, uh, subtle energy devices. Basically, they don't use electricity, but they, they reflect or emit a, a field that is beneficial and it neutralizes the stress caused by the electromagnetic fields on the body. What's important about that is I can still use the technology. It just doesn't harm me like it used to. It gives my body the ability to have a natural EMF stress response, like a normal stress response versus being hypersensitive or hyposensitive to it.
Okay.
Though we don't, we wanna address EMF not, you know, as if when, if you're in a house and the house is on fire, we want to have a rational response to that. If we just hear, you know, if I burn, you know, if we just get a little smoke, we don't want to call the fire department.
Right.
But also if it's burning, we don't want to not call it. We don't want to be in the chair thinking—
Right, we don't want to just sit there and watch it burn.
Right.
Yeah.
So the goal is that we have no EMF stress response on ourselves and that we have a rational, that our body has a rational response. The only way to do that is to live in a, you know, have this beneficial field. And these plates helped do that. And that's what helped Jane's immune system have the strength to fight off things and help my anxiety level come down, help my stress and my wife's Hashimoto's actually get resolved within about 4 months. So it wasn't overnight on the Hashimoto's, but it was a progression, very noticeable progression over that until—
Progression.
she was able 9 years ago still to not have those same symptoms. Does she still get tired sometimes? Sure. But she doesn't have, she's not on the synthetics, she's not having to manage and her blood levels are all normal. So the—
So is this something that somebody would wear? Does it go? Yeah, there you go.
Okay, so I'm wearing the Active Energy Plate. So in this leather sleeve, this active energy plate, all the technology is the same. So we call it the resonant photonic harmonics. It's a big word, but it's the fact that the metal, all metal resonates, has a resonant frequency to it. It's photonic, meaning it's light. So we're piggybacking on the natural frequencies of light that surround us that our bodies already understand and they know what to do with. And we're putting the full harmonics of that light back into the environment. The digital signals that we get from artificial EMF are— they're digital, they're pop packets of information, they're not a full spectrum. This amplifies the quality and quantity of the full spectrum light. So now we've created an environment that is much stronger on the natural light side and that mitigates the stress from the EMF. So there's this one, there's one a little smaller than that that you can wear, and then the plates get larger, and that's what can help protect a home and also protect large spaces like farms or clinics. And we have these networks now of EMF Safe Clinics that are coming out and saying, "Look, we want to create healthy environments where people are being healed." Mm-hmm. We want that environment to be balanced. And so we love bringing on practitioners who can help with that and create places that we can refer people to and say, hey, you need a dentist? Great, here's the, here's where the dentists are that have—
Here's an EMF safe zone where you can come in. And so you're really getting all of the healing, not just the hands-on healing, but the environmental healing as well.
Right, and it uses all the natural frequencies and photons that are around us including the ones that our bodies produce. So the number one question I'll get is, "Dan, you're wearing this in a leather sleeve and it's under your clothes. Where's the light coming from?" And it's coming from my own body.
Within.
Yeah, the biophotons. And those biophotons hit, they go through clothes, they go through walls, and they hit that plate, get harmonized, and then go back into the body. And we can measure that with electrophotonic scanning. We can measure that with live blood analysis. We can measure that with a bioresonance technology called PS-10 is the device. All that shows is that our bodies get harmonized and balanced and increased in energy, which is what helps us mitigate the stresses and not just the EMF stresses. It helps us actually remain stronger across all environmental stressors that we might run into.
Mm-hmm.
So our body's more vibrant, has more vitality because we're getting more of that natural energy into us. And that helps us stay balanced, stay centered, and helps our mitochondria produce more energy for our cells. So our cellular energy is increased. And when that happens, now our cells are functioning better and they are gonna create better, they're just gonna do their chemistry better. And their biology better, and that's what we like to do. We like to help create that environment in you so that your body can do what it was designed to do.
Yeah, and the environment that you get sick in is not the environment you can heal in, right?
Right.
You've gotta change your environment. So let's just wrap up with where people can find you.
Mm-hmm, yes. So our website is essentialenergy.us. No, Essential. So it's essentialenergy.us. And there you'll find a lot of— if you go into the blogs, there's a lot of research, there's a lot of blog posts that we've written. And then we have an online store there. And we have also access then into the communities that we'd invite you all into. These are— we have a free community where we're talking about EMF health and all the things that we've discussed today. And then we also have— we can invite you into the subscriber community where you get that fitness and nutrition and that coaching as well.
Amazing. Well, this has been so profound. Are there any words you'd like to leave the audience with?
Yeah, I just wanna encourage you that your body's not broken. It's the environment that's around you, but you can do something about that environment. And I would encourage you to take that action and really start to take that EMF health component seriously and start to analyze the rooms that you walk into to see, should I sit by that Wi-Fi router or should I sit on the other side of the room? Those things matter and they're simple things you can do. And so just, we want you to live your whole vibrant and vital life that you can. And we're here to support you and help you. And it's been a wonderful conversation. I'm grateful.
Yeah, and that's the way God intended, right? We're meant to be vibrant, lively beings.
That's right.
And so thank you so much for joining us today. I'm so excited. It's the first time we've been talking about this and it's such an important topic.
