A father paid for his four kids' airfare to Europe but made them sit in coach instead of first class. His point: if you want premium experiences, you need to earn the money yourself. It's a lesson in financial independence wrapped in a family trip.
We went over to Europe this summer. My 4 oldest, they should be able to pay for their own flights. So I paid for their own flights. But, you know, you're sitting back in coach. They're like, well, Dad, why can't I sit up here and buy first class? Because, well, you didn't buy the ticket. I was like, you got to learn more skills if you want to buy your own first class ticket. So you got to sit back there in coach. I love you, but you got to sit back in coach.
