Even in a job interview, you're still selling. Why do I say that? Because typically in a job interview, they're going to ask you all the questions. And if you just sit there and answer all the questions like everybody else, how do they view you? Everyone else? There's nothing special about you. So you can answer a few questions, and then you might want to ask them a question like, can I ask you something? Sure, go ahead. If I came to work for you guys in this position, what would my training possibly look like? Just so I understand, that's just a simple question. I'm starting to get them to qualify to me, to hire me, rather than you qualifying to them to who want to hire. Like you're begging, like you're desperate. Let's say they talk about an issue they've had in this department. You might say that's a big thing. A lot of people have been telling me that have been trying to get me to work for them is that they're having this XYZ problem. What do you feel is actually causing it? Now you're pulling them in. That raises your value, that raises your status in the interviewer's mind.
