A salesman with 18 years across door-to-door, B2B, network marketing, and financial sales explains how behavioral science and tone shape buyer decisions. He covers scaling from seven to eight figures and assembling the right team.
Excuse me, sir.
Quick question for you, man.
What's up, man?
Is this your G wagon?
It is my G wagon, yes.
And what do you do for living out in Scottsdale to be able to.
Afford a G wagon?
I'm just in sales.
So for those that don't know, what industry did you decide to pursue a career in?
First industry I sold in was the door to door industry. I sold alarm systems. Then after about five years got into B2B sales, large enterprise, some S and B. Then the next industry I sold in for the next about four and a half years was network marketing. And then the last industry I got into, selling like high end, like financial investing events to like investors and companies, sometimes individuals.
So over those 18 years, what was your secret to sales?
My background in college was behavioral science and human psychology, like how the brain makes decisions. So I would say the biggest thing that I learned that I exceptionally excelled at out of anything, how to get my prospects to let their guard down. The second biggest thing that really set me apart from anybody else in any of those industries is my tone.
But how did you scale your business from seven to eight figures?
It's just, it's having the right team and you have the best product, the best service in the market. But if you don't have the right team, you're not going anywhere.
What would you say is the biggest thing that separates the middle class from those who really end up building that generational wealth and becoming financially free?
I think it's your mindset believing that you can't accomplish what others are because somehow they're just different than you. Number two, you don't put in the effort to acquire the skills to get there. You can have the greatest mindset in the world, but if you never acquire the skills to get there, you're not gonna get there. I always say, what's your biggest expense in life? It's your lack of knowledge. And as soon as you start believing in your mind that you were not born with any of those skills, those are acquired skills, you'd be like, okay, I'm on equal playing ground with everybody else here.
