Stop saying "following up," "circling back," and "just checking in" in sales outreach. These phrases signal lazy patterns and trigger negative reactions from prospects. Instead, be direct: "I've tried reaching you a few times and left messages but didn't hear back. Where should we go from here?"

Following up with you, circling back with you just checking in touching base. See those are trigger words your prospect's brain recognizes what patterns from every salesperson so we want to re language those words. Let's say if they've been ghosting me three or four times rather than saying like just following up circle black just checking in I might send an email like hey John, tried to reach you a few times in the last few weeks and left a few messages but didn't hear back. Don't scroll down. Where should we go from here? Don't say I'm really looking forward to your response, really hoping you're okay, really praying that you're safe. I haven't heard from you. Don't do any of that stuff because they don't believe that that's short to the point and it shows your what? It shows that you're busy, you're not needy, you don't need them it causes them to draw back in.
