In this Everyday AI episode, host Jay walks through HaloMate (also referred to as HelloMate), a web‑based AI workspace that bundles access to many large language models—including the current GPT‑6 Luna—into a single subscription. He demonstrates how the platform lets users create persistent "AI mates" and projects, store files securely, and run Python code, analyze data, edit office documents, and browse the web directly within the chat via the built‑in "Halo computers" environment. Jay highlights the free tier, pricing structure, and the platform’s live web‑research feature that shows the sources the AI is consulting. He also points out a privacy caveat: HaloMate’s policy allows chat data to be sent to third‑party model providers, meaning "private" does not guarantee data never leaves the service. Mid‑review, Jay promotes his own digital product, a 7‑day prompting ebook called "Perfecting Prompts," linking to it for viewers interested in improving their prompt‑engineering skills. The video concludes with a concise assessment that HaloMate positions itself as a persistent AI workspace for multi‑model workflows, while urging viewers to consider the privacy implications before adopting it.

HelloMate is a website that allows you to have access to multiple AI models and also build multiple different memories for different AI mates. And all of that can be stored in project files and on a secure file drive. If this is your first time here, my name is Jay and this is the Everyday AI channel where we teach you how you can use AI in your daily lives. So we're going to dive right into this here. And as you can see, here are some of the features listed of HelloMate. And we've got pricing as well. They got a free tier that we on a daily basis. I'm gonna dive right into this and I'm actually gonna ask what separates HaloMate from other tools that provide access to multiple models. Multiple models. Okay, cool. So let's see what we get here. We're running on GPT-6 Luna at the moment. So we'll see what we get here. Cool. So that was quick. So the main distinction is how the multimodal access is packaged. HaloMate can refer to different products. I'm not sure which one. Okay. So it doesn't actually know precisely which HaloMate we're talking about, which is one thing they should probably fix. I think any of the sort of large language model platform should have an understanding of itself, at least in a system prompt that sort of wraps over all the models provided. I'm going to paste in the link to it and I'll say, this is what I'm referring to. Okay, so it's probably going to do some research on, uh, the HaloMake platform. So it seems like it's just responding as, uh, yeah, it's just responding as a regular sort of, uh, uh, chat with— that's powered by GPT-6 Luna. Now it's going to do some, uh, research. We can see the searches it's going through. You can actually see the, um, research pages. Okay, which is quite interesting. Cool stuff. You can see it's going through quite a few different links. Let's go to this one here. So we can see here the different, yeah, the different webpages it's going on to. Okay, cool. I'm actually pleased to announce I've launched one of my first digital products, which is a 7-day prompting ebook. I've called it Perfecting Prompts, and it's essentially a 7-day crash course on how you can improve your prompting so that you can supercharge your productivity. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to leave the link to Perfecting Prompts below. I put in a lot of work into it, and in there I actually include some frameworks that I teach to global corporations. Definitely check it out. So you can search up OpenRouter. Okay, cool. So that's HaloMate AI at halomate.ai. Its pitch is more than just one subscription, many models. So the models in one ongoing workflow Persistent mates and projects. Okay. A built-in environment with Halo computers presented as a way to run Python, analyze data, work with websites, and create or edit office files inside chat. Okay. Research and agent features. Cool. And an app-style subscription. So in short, HaloMate is positioning itself as a persistent AI workspace. You can use multiple models and help carry work through to deliverables. Interesting stuff. So we've got one caveat. Private doesn't mean your prompts never leave HaloMate. Its privacy policy says chat data may be sent to third-party model providers. Of course, that would certainly be an Unnecessary. Cool. So I think we've got a, a good sort of feel of what HaloMate is about. Definitely check it out if you think it would be useful for you.
