In this episode of the Everyday AI channel, host Jay provides a hands‑on review of Instinct, a chat‑based personal AI assistant that operates through popular messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and iMessage. He explains that Instinct offers a simple, familiar interface while delivering powerful capabilities: composing and sending emails, browsing the web and performing tasks on the user’s behalf, storing files in a personal cloud space, and securely managing passwords via a vault. Jay recounts a 4‑5‑hour work session where he completed all of his tasks—editing training decks, handling communications, and more—solely by messaging Instinct, describing the experience as “blown away” and a major milestone in AI‑driven errand running. He emphasizes the significance of having an AI that can act autonomously across the internet, noting the removal of previous bottlenecks around password handling and API integrations. Toward the end, Jay promotes his own digital product, a 7‑day prompting ebook titled “Perfecting Prompts,” linking it as a resource for improving AI prompting skills. The video serves both as a product overview and a personal testimonial encouraging viewers to try Instinct.

Instinct is a personal assistant that understands what you're working on and what's important to you. It has a very simple interface, which is not even a new one. It's basically any of the existing sort of most popular chat interfaces that most of us already use on a daily basis, such as WhatsApp or iMessage. Now, if this is your first time here, my name is Jay and this is the Everyday AI channel where we teach you how you can use AI in your daily lives. So I'm gonna dive right into this here. And today's episode is gonna be slightly different 'cause I'm mostly just gonna talk about my experience with Instinct over the last few weeks that I've been using it. And I have to say, I'm pretty blown away. Like, this is their landing page. It's very simple, you know, nothing crazy going on because the interface itself is simply, as I mentioned earlier, either WhatsApp or iMessage or, you know, any popular messaging tool. Now, for me personally, I think this is really like a— it's really a remarkable moment worth noting, certainly a massive milestone. where everyone can now have access to like an AI errand runner that can just run around the internet and do things for them on their behalf. Now you can connect Instinct to your email and get it to actually, you know, write emails for users and send them as well without you even opening your inbox once. And, you know, I think my eureka moment came when I had like an intense sort of 4 to 5 hour session of work where I executed all my tasks right from WhatsApp. Like I didn't even leave. All I was doing was just messaging Instinct for that. entire time. And I think I was editing some decks for some training that I was doing. And the only thing I was really checking on was the decks. And I only did that towards the end when I was sort of finishing drafts and stuff. But ultimately, Instinct is just, yeah, it's extremely impressive, I have to say. And yeah, I think pretty much everyone should be on it if you're not already. These sort of chat-based interfaces that cannot just provide you with information, but can now fully do things for you. They have access to their own virtual server where they can essentially run tasks and, you know, scroll around the internet. They also have— they also provide you with a cloud storage space where you can actually upload some files that Instant can have access to. There's also a vault where you can save any sort of key passwords, which has been a massive bottleneck. Like, whenever anything has needed a password, unless you're connected through some sort of OAuth or any kind of integration authentication, it's been quite difficult. But to get a chatbot to do that, apart from, you know, willingly for any website, has been a massive bottleneck. Now, of course, the most popular ones, you know, that they, you know, can have APIs MCPs that you can simply spin up and connect like in connectors on any sort of chat interface like ChatGPT or Claude. But the fact that now you can actually do this, you know, by simply just providing a password into one of Instinct's vaults. I'm actually pleased to announce I've launched one of my first digital products, which is a 7-day prompting ebook. I've called it Perfecting Prompts, and it's essentially a 7-day crash course on how you can improve your prompting so that you can supercharge your productivity. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to leave the link to Perfecting Prompts below. I put in a lot of work into it, and in there I actually include some frameworks that I teach to global corporations. Definitely check it out, which is a secure space where you can provide a password for your AI chatbot to essentially be able to access your specific portal within a website. For me, it's just, uh, yeah, quite remarkable. So definitely check out Instinct if you think it would be useful for you to do that. You can just click Text Instinct and it'll ask you for your number, and you can essentially dive into But yeah, definitely check this out.
