An in depth review of broker orders designed for a new trader. Beginner Series Video #4

Live beginner-level trading webinar by Jeremy (Jerremy) Newsome covering broker selection, essential broker features (OCO/OTO orders, SIPC protection, real-time data, paper accounts), recommended brokers and beginner apps, minimum tech requirements, and a step-by-step swing-trade setup workflow. The video demonstrates drawing monthly/daily support and resistance, recognizing hammer candlesticks, placing entries (stop-limit), stops (stop-market), targets (limit), calculating position size from a dollar risk and R-multiple (example: KMB entry 118.43, stop 110.00, stop distance 8.43, 2.4R target = 138.66), and prescribes concrete trading-plan rules (wait for close, risk 1R per trade, max open swings, no holding through earnings, do not move stops for 6 trading days, etc.). It concludes with Q&A and pointers to additional resources and module 5.

There is one more module to come in this program that is module number five and that module is going to be a very much review based. Lot less slides, much more chart intensive, just Q and a fun fest of facts and knowledge. So get ready from that. It's going to be incredible. Diego says we are still here. My 17 year old know it all daughter is here with us. Gorgeous. I love it. Fantastic. Scott says fun fest over here. Jeff says hello. Hey Mr. White, how are you? Some more quick tips about me. My father passed away in March 2015 and without him I would not be here. His name was Jerry and my mom whose name is Juliet, she is a very creative saint. She is a gorgeous person and that is why My name has two Rs. My name stands for Jerry and me, Jeremy. So it's a legacy of my dad. I've always been very proud of that. So I want you all to know that's where my name comes from. And also because I crushed the R's, I make so many R's, I gotta have two in my name. You know what I'm saying? I'm also the youngest of six kids, so I'm the baby of the family. Shocker. You probably already knew that, though. I was born in Canton, GA. From 1 to 12. I lived outside of Statesboro, GA, and I lived in High Springs, FL, from 12 to 18. I went to college at the University of Florida. Go Gators. And I graduated at the University of Florida in 2009 with a business degree because I want to learn how to trade the stock market. And they did not teach me that in college, even though I started with a finance degree. That's kind of where I got. That's what's happening. This is a little bit more about me. Here's where we are. Module 4. Brokers plus risk, plus rules, plus strategy equals trading plan. Farah says he's from Marietta. Go Gators. Yes. I love it. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Chris says the link didn't work for a minute. Well, I'm very glad that you're here. Linderman says give us a sound bite of your native tongue. It's definitely a native tongue, that's for sure. Jennifer went to U of F. You know, there's a funny, small, little. Not that funny. There's a joke that says they had to name it the University of Florida because if they named it Florida University, it would have entirely different initials. Anyway, let's dive in. Let's talk about which brokers we are using. Which brokers to use. I trade the US markets, but I do have an international community. I'm unfamiliar with every broker that exists in the world. I have personally used about a 100 brokers. Now, why is this important? Well, it's important because brokers give you access to trade the markets. That simple. You do need a broker. I am not a broker. I had some traders. Some of you asked me and email me. Hey, Jeremy, are you a broker? Will you place these orders for us? No, I will not. I will also not manage your retirement for you. That's not what I do. I am a cerebral pyromaniac. My mission is to enrich lives with mentally liberating education. I don't manage money. I focus on helping people understand how they can Manage their money themselves. But bottom line, I'm not a broker. Brokers are the ones that give you access to trade the market. They give you the opportunity, they give you the stepping stone. They give you the ability to do so. We talked a little bit about this on day one. Which discount brokers can be used by the way, I know every single person in this picture. I hope that's somewhat impressive. But again, I have a very close connection to all the traders I've ever worked with. So again, more real pictures. Jason said this is the RLT retreat. Yes, this is the trading retreat in Nashville that we have every single year now. Discount brokers. Discount brokers can be very good for pure beginners. There's nothing wrong with a discount presenter a discount broker other than of course, you know, you have to have the word discount in there. The con of using discount brokers can often be reliability, potentially speed. Quick deposits and fast withdrawals can be a challenge. My only goal is make sure that your broker is SIPC insured and compliant. They are. The SIPC is a nonprofit corporation, has been protecting investors for 50 years at least here in the United States of America. I think I spelled the other one wrong. SIPC works to restore investors cash and securities when a brokerage firm fails. Now again, that's here in the states, so that's not necessarily everywhere. But I want you all to know that it is something that you want to make sure that your broker is at least somehow protected in the case it goes under. You can get some of your money out from losing all of the brokerage money because that has happened in the past. It can happen again. In fact, I'm sure it will happen in the Gantt. It will happen again. So just something to keep in mind, really, really important to know and understand. Nate says, do you know if we bull is spic certified or Trading View? Trading View. Nate is not an app. Sorry, I apologize. It's not a broker and it does not take your money. John says, how should we know that? What do you think, John? What's my answer gonna be? Google it. Use Google Ask. That's right. Look over the documents. So you all know those who live in the States. You know what FDIC insured means at a bank. So if you are looking to get an understanding of a brokerage that organization in the US does not protect you. If you lose money because you don't trade well, you it protects you. In case a brokerage firm actually just totally goes under Robinhood as far as the discounted brokers are concerned. Is my favorite. It's the one that I have used. I do not currently have an account with Robinhood, although I have used it, I have traded with it, and I have helped many people make money trading with Robinhood. I know many traders who use Robinhood. One of my favorite aspects of Robinhood is it is gorgeous with its simplicity and teaching aspects behind Robinhood. It's totally free to use and I do love it for teaching, for starting out for pure beginner traders. Now, the reason I like the simplicity and the teaching behind it is because it really is quite instructional. It does its best to kind of show you and teach you a little bit about what you're doing, why you're doing it, what it is. So I really love that quick YouTube hack. If anyone's ever interested in learning anything specifically specific about the stock market, you can always go to YouTube. You all know what YouTube is. Real life Trading has videos on just about everything. So between myself, Jason Smith, Brad Reed, Matt DeLonge and Blake Anderson, and a few other traders who have done incredibly well to help contribute to our Real Life Trading archives. If you want to know something that's related to the stock market, just type in whatever you want to learn followed by the term Real Life Trading, and you're probably going to get some videos. Does that sound pretty fair? So if you want to learn anything, whatever it is, if it's candlesticks, if it's credit spreads, if it's options, if it's, whatever it is, Robinhood, if it's about a broker, start there first, go to YouTube, type it in, and then type in Real Life Trading afterwards and you'll probably get a video. Ahmed says, what do you think about Cash App? I like it. All right, so Robinhood. How do I rate Robinhood? I'm gonna give Robinhood an A. I'm gonna give it an A. I'm not gonna give it an A plus because it just randomly went off, off the grid and shut down for like three or four days and didn't let people get in or get out. So that's really not that great. But again, it is a discount broker. It is entirely free. It is owned by Google, to my knowledge, and it is a great platform. I personally would never put more than $100,000 into Robinhood, however. So again, just letting you know, that's kind of my maximum threshold, 100 grand. That's. That's the most that I would put into this particular broker. Right. Hundred thou. That's my cap for at least for Robinhood. Now, if you want to trade with less than that and Robinhood, that's fine. But again it's, it's a discount broker. Alright, so here's another one. I've never personally used either one of these two. I have helped traders use them. I have helped traders walk through them and show them how to implement things and show them how to process things and showed how to input orders. Right, I have done that. However, I have not personally taken my money and traded through either one of these brokerages. So please understand that. Now the number one thing I personally care about a broker, if you want to know, as far as applications are concerned, does it have OCO orders and OT OCO orders? That is like my Lamborghini. That's what I need for, for me to trade the way that I trade, it has to have one of those functionalities. If it doesn't have one of those functionalities, I'm not going to be trading with it very long. A lot of you asked me what I'm looking for in a broker. Those are the first things I asked for when I go to a broker is do you have OCO orders or OT OCO orders? If it doesn't, I'm probably not going to do it very much. It's very, very important to me. That allows you to automate your trades. Okay, so that stands for order. You can't type in black font over black screen, Jeremy. All right, so it stands for order cancels other or also stands for order triggers, order cancels other. So it allows you to other. It allows you to set up automated trades that has a trigger, has a stop loss and has a target all good to go. So it creates everything for you up front. It's very, very useful for option trades. It's very useful for stock trades. It's incredibly useful because it allows you to sit down, set up your trade and literally walk away for the next few days, weeks or months because it has everything you need. It has your stop loss, has your target, has your entry, has everything. So I need those in a broker in order for me to trade the way that I trade day trading or swing trading doesn't matter. My broker has to have these. Okay, Mark says really useful in fast moving markets. That's correct. OJ says. Does it have that? Of course. That's because I use it. Thinkorswim has ot OCO orders. Absolutely. Thinkorswim has everything you need. All right, so how do I wait, how do I rate? We bull and trade? 0. I give it a B plus. Can't speak I give it a B plus only because I've never used it. So again, I'm not entirely sure, but I'm assuming they're okay. I haven't had any massively horrific issues about it or with it or I haven't heard anyone that just has hated it and had a terrible experience. So I'm gonna give those a B plus. Okay. Now the most popular brokers, these are the ones that I am personally most familiar with. If you want to trade as a career, you will likely end up using one of these. If you trade as a hobby or a strong side hustle, you can still use these. Brokers. Commissions are great. Platform is fast and usability is strong. I personally will give all of these an A plus. Now, these are not all of the brokers that you can use. There's some right now that are being thrown into here that I have not talked about. Like Fidelity. I didn't put Fidelity in here. I didn't put E Trade in here. I'll give all those E trade. I'm give like a C plus. I don't know anyone who uses E Trade. Well, Fidelity, I could give Fidelity an A plus. So Fidelity is nice. E Trade, whatever. If you want to use Interactive Brokers, this is a platform that I do have a large sum of capital in and I love trading through Interactive Brokers. You can go to www.ibkr.com rlt and Interactive Brokers is a phenomenal program and product. It can do anything you want. If you know a lot about. If you know. If you have the time to go through it, it looks a little bit scary up front. Tasty Works, you can also go to tastyworks.com and use referral code. RealLife Trading. They're also a very good platform. They have now built the OCO functionality in Jason. So that's really good finally. So happy to hear that. But Tasty Works is nice. Charles Schwab Street Smart Edge is a very, very good platform. Street Smart Edge is really useful. So many things you can do in Street Smart Edge. Great platform. Very, very nice. Thinkorswim is what I trade with the most actively and it is owned by TD Ameritrade. Thinkorswim is a wonderful platform, but just keep in mind that TD Ameritrade is supposed to be acquired by Charles Schwab at some point. I'm not really sure what that looks like yet. So going forward, just note that that at some point I'm pretty relatively confident that thinkorswim is gonna keep its name. According to my Boy, Tom Sosnoff. Thinkorswim should keep his name. It should still keep its application, but the TD Ameritrade platform and website might change. It might update some therefore again, I'm not 100% positive what that looks like, but if you're working with one of these brokers on this screen, I know them to be very reputable and very good. TradeStation is another excellent platform, especially if you are a US veteran. If you are a US veteran, former or current? I believe so, not fully veteran but if you are current military or former military, they offer amazing, amazing benefits. If you are current or former military. By the way, my uncle is a former Marine. Some of my best friends are former Marines. For my current and former military. Give me a one in the chat pane so I can give you some love. All right, so Greg. Oh wow, tons of you. Greg is former current. Greg Isaac, Troy, Tanya, Ahmet, Mark, Shirley, Brandon, Liz, Angelica, Rob, Graham Donner, Jean J.D. stone, Kel Matalong. So. Oh, I'm just getting filled. So again thank you for your service. I really appreciate. Means a lot to me. So thank you. Thank you very much. Okay, so TradeStation, they offer really great programs and benefits for former and current military. Pam says do you know if Tom's getting any closer to coming with Canada with tastyworks? He is Pam. It's not him, it's Canada. Canada is holding him back because as you know TD Ameritrade is Toronto Dominion and there's some regulations that are trying to figure out with protocols and competitives and so on and so forth. So he's trying it and it's Canada's dragging his feet so it'll probably be another year and a half I think Max. Australia has happened though. Yep. So Australia's happened. Chris says which has the best tools. All on these man are very, very good. They all like said all of these are going to be like which is kind of like which car do you just think that you like the most? Which high end vehicle do you really, really like? I have a trader saying why not E Trade. E trade just sucks. There you go. It's pretty much it. Robert says TradeStation also integrates with TradingView quite well. Yes it does. Yep. That's a very good benefit. I appreciate you bringing that up. Tyler says the data and thinkorswim is delayed. How do you describe to real time data, Tyler? I have to show you but it's just a really quick settings that you can go in and just update it manually. You are correct. Thinkorswim is 3 seconds delayed. I don't know why I did a.03. But thinkorswim does have a delayed setting. You can go in and change it. So this. I don't know how to do it right off the top of my head as a memory tool. But I know you're part of us in real life Trading. You just recently joined. So reach out to us in Slack and I will. We'll show you how to do that. Yeah, but it's gonna have data. I mean, like I said, it's only three seconds delayed, so it's not that far delayed. But yeah, three seconds is a lot. I get it. Joe says if you want real time and simulated trading, you have to open up a support ticket. That is correct. Joe says they will give you real time and simulated trading. So Thinkorswim has, I would argue the best paper account. I don't currently use it, but I know that they have a very good paper account. Jeff says, how long does it take to get your money back into your account after your trade has been closed? That happens instantaneously, Jeff. It's within the exact same moment. Cabria says, does thinkorswim paper provide live market data? Yes, it does. Brandon says active military veterans and first responders can participate in the Trade Station Salutes program. Yes. Yes they do. If anyone does you TradeStation, just tell me you heard about from Real Life Trading. We don't get anything right now, but it never hurts. Cabria says no subscription required to Thinkorswim paper. No, not to my knowledge. Not to my knowledge. Because that's what you're going to want to do is you're going to want to start out with paper accounts to some degree just so you can get all of your mistakes out the way with paper trading. So go get you a paper account at thinkorswim and start practicing very, very good virtual program. And it is a really great place to start learning a little bit of the basics. So start today, download a broker and begin paper trading. Right on cue have someone saying, what is a paper account? That's why I have this slide. Paper trading is simulated trading. Naveen, are you familiar with what simulated trading means? Ricky says, I'm hoping that since Charles Schwab acquires thinkorswim that they make it available to Australia again. Yeah, that'd be really, really cool. Tanya says, I'm looking at Trade Station now. I'll drop RLT when I open an account. Awesome, Tanya. Thank you. Aaron says, I just joined. Did you give your views on e Trade I did. All right, so paper trading is simulated trading. Thinkorswim is amazing paper count. It's a great place to learn what the buttons do. This is your chance to take some action. So folks, this point in the program, I haven't done a sales pitch, right? I have not done any sales pitch. This is the sales pitch. Go download a platform of some kind and even if you have to put $1 in, just start get your platforms downloaded, get your brokers downloaded so you can at least have it. Naveen says, do you plan to start a real life trading brokerage? Not specifically, no, not really. So again, go ahead and start tiptoeing in. Get you an account if it's thinkorswim. Beautiful. We don't currently have any promotions with thinkorswim. But that's all right. They get tons of people there anyway. Not a big deal. Sharon says. So Stink or Swim is not available in Australia yet. It was one time, but then they got bought out and it's no longer. But at some point now that Charles Schwab is acquiring them, I think it'll happen again because our resident team, Real Life Trading Australia, president and partners here, Mr. Ricky Caden. So Ricky knows everything about anything Australia. He knows. Let me actually go ahead and promote Ricky as a panelist really quick. Here we go. Sharon says round of applause for Ricky. Yes, absolutely. What a sheer legend that guy is. January says I'm assuming simulated trading is just practice and it actually doesn't trade anything. Your question's not in your statements, not entirely accurate. You do trade like you're trading the real thing and it's gonna move like it moves in the real thing. It's just not real money, right? January, have you ever played fake poker online, you know, and you have your cards and you're learning how to play it, you're just not making any actual money or losing any money, which is good. But you're learning stuff. You're learning a lot. So yeah, you're totally correct. Great, great point. So phenomenal way to start out. Now here are other apps to use. If you are a sheer beginner and you know for sure that you are a little hesitant, a little scared or a little fearful, or if you are under the age of, I don't know, 21, or if you know right now you just want to start slowly, slowly increasing your net worth over time without that much effort, start at least absolute minimum, you should do one of these. Now. What I will say is, theoretically you can still do one of these regardless. These are really, really Great products and programs. Okay, so Acorns and Stash, these are very, very good apps. So Acorn pretty much takes your loose change and rounds it up and invests into the stock market. Stash takes small amounts of money and allows you to buy individual companies with it. Both of these are incredible for no one who has ever invested. So just so I can get an idea, type in A4. If you've never invested anything in your entire life, ever, ever, ever, ever, and you want to kind of get started doing something small, if you are throwing in a four, which is absolutely fine, there's nothing wrong with that at all. I would simply suggest using one of these right here to just get your tippy toes into the water. Shirley says, Jeremy, because of you and this course, I opened an account with Robinhood today. Then I placed a limit order for 10chk stock at $0.15 each. A whopping investment of $1.50. But I would get bolder as I do it more. I had sweaty palms, the whole. Shirley, I appreciate you letting me know. Number one, thank you. That's a great story. But here's the thing, Shirley. What you did is you took action. You started right, you began to take some steps in the right direction. And I am quite confident that you will become more proficient over time. But once you've made the first trade, it's all good to go from here. So very well done, Shirley. That's inspiring. Now, for those who typed in a four, and there are a few of you, and there's nothing wrong with that at all, not even close. So for anyone who typed in a four, you probably want to start off with these two things. I have a trader saying, can you please cover a little bit about what the minimum PC laptop setups we need, mainly configuration. That's a good question. But honestly, if you buy any new laptop, you'll be fine. If you buy any new laptop, I mean, if it's. If it's like 2017 or newer, you're good to go. Now, specifics, I would have at least 4 gigs of RAM, minimum. I'd have at least 500 gigs of hard drive, space of memory. Sorry, minimum. These are absolute minimum. And some type of really nice video card or processing speed. Realistically, it's going to come down to a little bit about the Internet speed as well. Jason says eight to 16 gigs of my recommendation. Yes, minimum of four. Absolute bare minimum. The machine that I'm running on right now has 64 gigs of RAM and a 6 terabyte solid state hard drive. So it's going to be all about what you want to purchase and what you want to do. But gigs of RAM are going to be the key. You want to have a lot of gigs. The more gigs the better, and the more memory, the better. So just something to keep in mind. I would prefer a solid state hard drive ssd. Yeah. But I'll let you guys throw in the chat pane if you are more tech savvy than I am. That's about all I know. Jason says if you do everything through a web browser, RAM is not such a big deal. Correct. Correct. Steven says, how many monitors do you use? I can do everything off of. Off of a laptop. Honestly, I'm very, very quick with a laptop, so I can do everything off of one monitor. You have two eyes, so two monitors is great. I do have a trading desk set up. That's a little bit excessive, but sometimes you got to spend money on things, you know. Cabria says I've traded for my iPad. Naveen said you can do basic stuff on a cell phone. Exactly. Exactly. Team. So with the cool part about technology right now is if you have anything new that has good Internet, you should be. Absolutely. Okay. Internet speed is going to be key. Great questions, O team. Very, very good questions. Now, if you want to go on a website on YouTube and learn any more about the apps that I just mentioned, feel free to check out my personal YouTube channel. If you guys haven't, go ahead and do so. But there's. If you type in top three best investment apps into YouTube, I have a video that comes up. You're welcome to watch that particular video. And so this is my setup right here that you're asking Stephen and Liz. This is one of my setups. I know my computer monitors are all over the place, but that. I'm just. I'm a guy of wildness sometimes. So that's the glimpse of my excessive setup. You do not need that to trade. Philip says, you look 12. Dude, that was like, three months ago. So, anyway, it's a cool thing. You don't have to have that many monitors. It's a little excessive. I'm probably gonna downgrade again soon. I'm starting to get a little wanderlust. I've been in the house now for, like, four days, and I'm like, oh, man, I want to go to Hawaii on the beach. You know, I'm starting to stress out. Okay. So anyway, if you want to go check out more about Acorn Stash or Robinhood, you can go to that website. All right, now that we have discussed. Brokers, let's review some trade setups. Type in A2 if you're ready to get back into the charts. Yeah, we covered some of that stuff. We covered some of the basics. Let's do it. Okay, so what we're gonna do is we're gonna start off with a trade. Now, I hope some of you have been realizing that when I walk through a very specific trade setup and talk through minutes worth of a trade stuff, it's probably a good trade stuff that you could consider for your actual trade. So I've been focusing on Kimberly Clark a lot, mostly because it's a paper company. And let's just kind of walk through it and go through the beginning steps. First and foremost, ladies and gentlemen, let's walk through this. Is this in a general trend that's bullish, yes or no? General bullish trend. Everyone's saying yes, that is correct. Do you know what Kimberly Clark does? Now, someone might say no, and that's fine. If you don't, you can google it. But they make toilet paper. Okay, now does everyone know what Kimberly Clark does? Okay, they make paper. Paper products. If you got a paper product in your house, it's made by Kimberly Clark, and you probably use their products often, AKA at least once a day, I would assume is my assumption. If you don't, maybe you should talk to somebody about it. Okay, Kimberly Clark, they make paper. Okay, we got that down. Now we're gonna go draw our support and resistance lines. Do you remember what resistance lines we're gonna start off with? We're gonna start off with the all time high area. So would you guys agree that's a nice resistance line? Pretty basic, pretty simple. Nothing too crazy, right? We're just drawing it right off of that resistance. If you want to use a line chart for this, you're more than welcome to. But really, really beautiful resistance line right there on Kimberly Clark. Very, very nice. Now I'm gonna draw a support line. Any guess? Does anybody want to throw in some guesses into the chat pane with a number? What was the next support line that's about to be drawn on the screen? All right, a lot of you guys absolutely nailed that one. So the next one that's just, just begging to be drawn is right there at 100? Yeah, right there at a hundred. I mean, it's just begging to be drawn. So if you said somewhere, if you were looking at that price, give yourself a pat on the back, because that is luscious. All right, and then I'll draw another one for everyone who said 70ish, right? That's another beautiful, beautiful line. Couldn't go wrong with that one if you even if you wanted to. Now from here what we're gonna do is this is again a monthly chart. So we're gonna do a little bit of a zoom in session and we're gonna zoom into the daily chart. So all that we've done, all that we've done is we drew our lines. Now that these lines are here, we're going to zoom in and start analyzing some other lines as well. So from this particular chart, again, all we're doing is just adding some additional lines. Are there any lines that you would like to draw based on this particular chart? We only drew three on the monthly chart, so we can easily add two or three more. So as you're looking at the chart, go ahead and kind of draw with your eyes that everyone kind of see that line right there, right? Really clear, really obvious stopping spot. Look how beautiful and clean that resistance was. Really, really crystal esque, right? Tons of white space above that level. You can see it. I'll go back and I'll put the white space and I'll just go back one slide so you can all see all of that resistance right above it so that you can kind of see, all right, See all the white space, all the areas where there's nothing there. And then bang. A little bit of a resistance line, a little bit of a smaller price point. Okay, here's another one. What about that one right there? Another nice line. You gotta like that line. So really that line, what I'm doing is I'm focusing on these two price points. That's all I'm doing with my eyes is I focus on those two price points and I drew that line. Let me show it to you one more again. Alright, I'm go back in time. Okay. So I'm gonna go back in time. And remember, I'm just looking at these two pivot points. Type in a 7 into the chat pane. If you can see clearly that the stock stopped moving there. Okay. It came down and then it bounced. It stopped moving. So I'm gonna draw another line there. Bing on. Boom. And we got a new support. All right, Gorgeous. At this present moment in time, what we are now about to do is we are gonna zoom into this area and start getting a little bit more data on the screen. So this is what I do when I'm drawing my lines is I start with a little bit of the bigger stuff and then I start zooming into the smaller time frames. Philip says, do you label your lines as monthly or daily? And if so, which lines has most credibility? Monthly lines have the most credibility, Philip and I don't personally label them, but you certainly can if you wish to use different colors or label the monthly lines are always the most strong. Very good question. All right, present moment. All I did, this was the exact same chart. I'm just zooming in a little bit. Just tiny, tiny zoom in. As we look through this, we're zoomed into the most recent days of movement. My friends, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls from around the world. Do you see the hammer? Type in A1 if you see it. Let me see the ones. Yeah, I mean, if you couldn't see that hammer, I need to get you an optometrist. Now, what's really beautiful about this hammer, my friends, is the fact that you see this little lower shadow. Do you notice how it just barely went lower than the previous low? Yeah. That means it trapped some people. Some people got trapped. Some people got scared. Some people started getting wicked out. The people that had weak hands got shaken out of their position. Ooh. Isaac said it also has an upper shadow, And Isaac is 100% correct. Love that upper shadow. So that upper shadow was created by some sellers. Right. And so some sellers have come in. Then you have this nice little bearish candle that's coming in right here. How are bearish candles formed? Do we remember from previous classes, how are bearish candles formed? From selling short. Exactly. From short sellers. Black candles are created from short sellers selling prices pressure. Bullish candles are white, therefore buying pressure. Black candles are bearish, therefore selling pressure, selling short. All right, so from here we have the obvious hammer, and we're going to look at a particular trade setup. So we're looking at getting in bullish above the hammer. What type of order would that be right there? What type of order would we use? I'm a launch a poll. Since we were looking to take this trade on a breakout, which order function would we put into the broker? Okay. All right, I'm gonna keep it open for five more seconds. Five, because this should be just off the top of your head. Four, three, two. Closing the poll. And ladies and gentlemen, I've gotten better at teaching this. 91% correct. Oh, yeah, man. That's passing in every grade. I haven't seen scores that high since ever I was a B student, but you can pass with Bs, man. 91%. Wow. That is fantastic. So since we're trying to get this trade On a breakout, we would absolutely be using a stop limit. That is the strategy. That's what you're gonna use when you're playing these hammer candles. All right, gorgeous. So what type of order would the stop loss be? That would be a stop market order. Therefore, how many shares would you do with a $1,000 risk unit? The entry is at the bottom left hand side. The stop loss is at the bottom left hand side. Let's see what you all calculate. You have all the information that you need to determine how many shares, if you're trading with a $1,000 risk unit, would you be getting into. My friends, Naveen is the first to come up with the correct answer, but he mentioned it to all panelists so no one else can see it. Chris, Tom did the exact same thing. Isaac has the right answer and he's sharing with everybody. Tanya got the right answer. Mark, Jacob, Chris, Dub, Abby, Tom, Robin, Steckle. Oh, you're all getting it. Very well done, my friends. Does a 100% success ratio so far. Doesn't it feel kind of good to calculate that and get it right? Yeah. Well done. Okay, now here's a quick question, just asking it in general. Could you, in your plan say that the stock needs to break through this resistance in one to two weeks and if not, we exit for a small gain or a small loss? Do you have the possibility of doing that? And I would have to say sure. Right. So just because a resistance is. Is in the way, for me it's just a line. The line helps you come up with a plan of action. It helps you try to dictate, discern and determine what you're going to do based on a certain price. So the thing is, if we moved up to that price, would we already be profitable just a little bit? And the answer is yes. Now, if we wanted to take a profit early, we could. I mean, if it's in our plan, if we say, hey, I'm alright to take a profit if it hits that price, better something than nothing, right? Totally. Well, if it trades up to that price and closes above there and then retest it and we come back a week later and it looks like that is there an opportunity that again, we could keep holding, maybe move the stop up a little bit, maybe exit a small position of our profit, we could do anything we want. But that's where the plan comes into play. That's where you have to know what it is that you want to do. And you kind of do the exact same thing all the time. When I trade, I'M boring. Pretty much everyone in the trading room always knows how I'm gonna trade. They see something, they're like, yep, Jeremy's gonna do this, because this is what Jeremy does. I'm not really that exciting when I trade. That's why I have to kind of be exciting in life. I see a hammer like this. Everyone knows how I'm gonna trade it. I hope you guys don't think I'm just teaching this, because I'm teaching it like, this is a. This is a legit strategy. If I see this candle, I'm setting it up. Like, do you not think that when I was walking through this trade, looking at this example, I was like, man, this looks like a phenomenal trade to take. You know, like, look at that hammer. Look at that gorgeousness. Whoo. All right, so here's what it looks like. Ryan says, even with a bearish candle the next day. Well, Ryan, that's what makes it exciting. That's why I was bringing it up, my man. If there's a bearish candle the next day and it goes higher, isn't that even more people trapped? So that's what I want. I want. I would. I love a bullish hammer followed by a bearish candle. Man, that makes Even better. Because then you have more bears that are trapped. Philip says, is this today's chart? Nope. That was two days ago on Kimberly Clark. So this is the setup, ladies and gentlemen, Right here on. Kimberly Clark. Scott says, can you explain trapped? All right, Scott, so do you remember this? How do you make money when a stock goes down? Do you remember what function you put into the broker? Scott says, short. You were correct. So you short. You're absolutely right. So, Scott, are bear. Bearish candles comprise of short sellers? Scott says, yep. Okay, so, Scott, how do bearish traders get out of a position? Scott says, they buy, and that is called trapped, my friend. You are trapped on a position if it's going the exact opposite direction that you want to. So if you have a bearish candle and then the stock starts going higher, all of those short sellers have to start buying. What does that do to the stock? Makes it go up. You got it. That's trapped. That's it. You nailed it. Well done. Dub says, would that work on a weekly chart? Of course. All right, beautiful. Nicely done, team. Nicely done. So this is what it would look like if you're putting the trade into a brokerage. All right, so this was what the exit price would look like if you wanted to get out. If Kimberly Clark did not go Higher because you always want to have your risk controlled. So you're gonna be selling 118 shares. Kimberly Clark. And the order type is a stop market because again, you're getting out of the position. How are you getting out of the position? You are selling it. What price are you selling it at? 110. How long are you keeping it open? It's good until canceled. Yeah, bring back for real. Okay. All good. Any questions on this particular slide so far, Chris, is what day are you placing the limit order? What day are you placing the limit order? I don't know what you mean by that, sir. Michael said, do you recommend zooming into Intraday Candles to view it? You can, Michael. I'm not going to talk about that in this particular program. But as we get more into the advanced and intermediate stuff, I'll talk more about Intraday Candles. Lucian says the trade would result in you making your goal or part of it, if only losing an R. I played Amazon the same way. Nice. Tyler said, would you use a trigger order on the entry for the stop loss? You already are, Tyler. It's a great question. So the trigger order is a stop. That's what stops are. Stops or trigger orders. So you are using a trigger order. That's why it's called a stop. A stop is literally just a thing that triggers y'. All. It says activation price. So a stop is literally a trigger order. And once the stop gets filled, then what happens? The broker sells the shares at market. That's what happens. Mark says, how far do you put out your good to cancel date? Generally, I don't really care, man. I just select good toe cancel and then I come back and I'll either cancel it or do it manually myself. So there's no real specific answer that question. Chris says, the day after the hammer candle. Yes, the day after the hammer candle. When I in this particular situation, Chris, that the. The candle had art, the hammer had already showed up and then there was a bearish candle. Right. So I found the hammer when I was doing this example and I set the trade up. But generally, Chris, you set the trade up. When you see the hammer candle, you see the hammer candle. You set the trade up. See the hammer set up the trade. See the hammer set up the trade. Ali says, could you use a trailing stop? Yes, you could. Lucy says, can you show us how the trade worked out? I will. All right. All right, all right. Mark says, is that a default date? Yes, that is a default date. John, can you show how you drew a support at 123. Sure. Chris said. So the bearish candle was your confirmation? It was additional confirmation that if the trade went higher, more people would be trapped. Yes. Good questions, Team Dub. I've already answered that question, but I'll answer it again. He says there's a hemorrhage candle on a weekly chart. Could I set up one trade off of that? Yes, you could. You could trade this off the weekly if you would like to. That's entirely up to you. It's just gonna take you longer because you're taking trades based on a weekly chart. It's gonna take you multiple weeks rather than multiple days to get in, get out of a position. But if that's your style, go for it, man. Mark yourself out. Nate says Kimberly Clark filled for me yesterday. I got in at 117. I'm up a little over $5,000 on my paper trade account. Nice trade, Nate. Yep. This is one that we've been talking about, actually. Kimberly Clark. I've dropped in some hints and Kimberly Clark already in this particular program. So this is the stop loss on that particular trade. So here's a question. Ready for this? So if the stop value is $8 and 43 cents, what would be the 2.4 R target? Now, you're gonna have to remember what our entry price was to know that number. So for those of you who are taking notes, the entry price was on the previous slide. Mitzi said, did this call a swing trade if you hold it for a week or two? Yep. That is correct. That is 100% correct. Donna's got a first number. Philip has a number, but his number is wrong. Mark has a number. JD has a number. Dove has a number. So far, all numbers are different. All right. I love it. So what we're have to do is we have to go back in time, right? To if the. If the stop loss is 843, you have to remember the entry price. Right. The entry price is 11843. That was the entry. So you take 11843, add it times 843 plus 843. You're going to come up with a number. That number is 138.66. Right. 118.43 is the entry, and you take 2.4 Rs. Once you calculate your stop value. Right. 8.43 is the stop loss. You take this number, multiply it times 2.4, take that addition, and then add it to 118.43. Mm, math. I love it. So this is the target this is what it looks like, Chris, is are you gonna tell us why 2.4 tonight? I told you that yesterday. Because it works really well. That's the answer. It works. That's it, man. You have to have a number. If I gave you any number, everyone would ask why that number. Doesn't matter what the number is. I could do 2. I could do 1.6. I could do 9. I could do 100. Doesn't really matter what it is. At some point, everyone's gonna ask me, why that number. It's just a number that works. Michael said in this example, I'll be buying $14,000 in total stock. That is not a short, correct? Correct, Michael, because you're buying it, right? You said that in your. In your text message. You said, I would be buying $14,000 in stock. So if you're buying stock, you're definitely not shorting it because you're buying it. Michael said the only way to buy less is to use options. No, you can just buy less shares. Because remember, we're doing 118 shares. So, Michael, could you buy two shares? Obviously, the answer is yes. You can buy as many shares you want. You can buy one share. You can buy 10 shares. You buy whatever you want. So you could just simply buy less shares. Sharon says, where and why did you come up with the $8.43 stop value? So that number, Sharon, is the difference between the entry and the stop loss. Do you remember what the entry is, Shannon? Sorry, my bad. Champion. I read too fast sometimes. Also, my dyslexia always messes me up. Shannon, do you remember the entry? So the entry on this one was 118 43. So that was the entry on this particular setup. And the stop loss was 110. So entering above the hammer. Stop below the hammer. Yep. So entry 100, 1843, stop at 110. And now, because you were awesome and epic, you now know where the 843 came from. Beautiful stuff, team. This is next level things right here, folks. I'm telling you, if you're feeling a little confused, it's okay. Because no one ever teaches this anywhere ever. Right? Am I right, Ricky? What a crazy concept that you're just learning this. I mean, why don't they teach this in school? It still blows my mind. This should be like third grade stuff. It's so simple. Okay, so the order type is a limit. So this is our target limit. Means we're trying to sell it at 138.66 or higher. So 843 is the stop value. 843 times 2.4 equals 20.23. 20.23 plus the entry of 1843 equals 13866. Four of you are asking for a write out on the math. There is the write out on the math. Whoo. Nature boy. Ric Flair. Whoo. Mitzi says, Jeremy is the right order. $8.43 times 2.4 plus 118.43. Please excuse my dear Aunt Sally. Yep. So you have to do multiplication first and then addition. Ken says, jeremy, will you ask Mitzi what's for supper? Scott says two hand claps and a Ric Flair. Woo. All right, so you guys getting it? You feeling good? Loving life. Any questions? Because we're now going to pull up the actual chart of this trade so you can at least see how it's kind of transpiring. But I'm only gonna do that If I get 17 threes into the chat pane. Let me see some threes. All right, beautiful. I asked for 17, but I got much, much more. So what I'm gonna do is hop over to trendspider.com. welcome to Trendspider, your automated trig software. So now I'm pulling. I'm come up to Kimberly Clark ticker symbol KMB and Kimberly Clark. I'm going to throw it on the daily chart and check it out. Look at Kimberly Clark. So this was. Ooh, I did something. What'd I do? Okay, sorry. This is the chart on Kimberly Clark. The exact same chart that I just drew my friends. So here's a question. Let's just talk through some basics. Number one, did Kimberly Clark close above that resistance line that we drew today? All right, everyone's saying yes. Is it higher than where we were going to enter the trade? Yes or no? All right, yes. Would we have gotten stopped out on the trade at this point? Yes or no? Answer is no. We would not have. So at this particular point in time, since we closed above the high of this candle, we close above the high of this candle, we close above the support resistance. And again, our target is 136. Philip says you called it two days ago. Yes, sir. Our target is up here. Would it be beneficial to, at this point, just more or less give the trade some time and see if it trades up to our target. Let me get two claps and a Ric Flair. I love Ric Flair. So good. He was one of my favorite wrestlers back when I watch wrestling. I don't watch wrestling. I don't watch wrestling anymore. But I used to and you know what's funny? When people said wrestling is fake, it's so fake. I always think, bro, do you think Tom Cruise just murdered all that people in that movie? It's called entertainment, right? Of course. It's. Everything is fake. I mean, you're telling me that Aston Kutcher is dating every single female in the world at the same time in every movie ever, Right? So it's. The scripting is fake, but the actual jumping and flying and the falling through stuff like. Anyway, whatever Aaron says, how do you decide whether to not sell on pullback and let it play out patiently? That's called your plan, my friend. You write down some rules and then you follow them. In fact, since Aaron's asking me so eloquently, let's talk about the plan. How to build a trading plan. John says, can you show how you drew support at 124? Sure. There you go. John, does that answer your question? This was the daily chart. Resistance, resistance, resistance, resistance, resistance, resistance. That's how I drew that line. John says, thank you. You're welcome, sir. Paul says, do you need to submit three separate orders. Stop, limit, stop, market and target orders. Good question, Paul. I mentioned earlier about OCO orders. So the answer is no. If you have a broker that does all of it, you can have an entry, a stop loss and a target. All automated, all in the same order. Paul says, Excellent. Yeah, Ali said. Okay. So did you jump into the trade at the White Hammer? Was that your trigger? No, it was not. Ali, do you know what my trigger was? 118 43. Above the high of the candle. So once this candle came in, right above the high of that candle. So once that hammer showed up. And by the way, we looked at that hammer in a previous class. By the way. Just. Just as a FYI, this was not the first time we looked at this chart. For those of you who are paying close attention, In fact, there was another one that we looked at. Let's go look at Under Armour. You might remember us talking about a trade on Under Armour as well. That's a little knife. This is a knife. Look at Under Armour. Does anyone remember Under Armour from a few days ago? You may or may not. I don't know. Let me see. Pop over. Can you slack it to me, Matt? If you slack it to me, I'll definitely do it right now. Naveen says, was it OCO? Yeah, absolutely. I live and die off OCOs, my friend. I'll wake up sometimes in the morning not even remembering what I placed last night. But it's all automated, so it's okay. Jason says, don't insult our Aussie friends with Crocodile Dundee quotes. Oh, man. Oh, geez. The entire time I was down there, I was walking around. No one uses the word Sheila. You know, I was really upset about it. Crikey. I was going down there, just Sheila this and Sheila that and nobody. All right, so check out this little gif. I'm gonna send this all to you in the chat pane. It might be a little hard to see, and I can't fully, totally zoom in, I don't think in this particular thing, but I'm gonna throw it all in the chat pane for you. This is a gift that Matt DeLonge made, and you're welcome to use it in your analysis and just to watch and repeat over and over and over and over and over again how I set up a trade. So this is a animation of a hammer. Candle. There's the hammer. All right, Once you see the hammer, stop, limit entry goes above the hammer. Stop. Loss goes below the hammer, and then you set the trade up, and boom, you're triggered in, and boom, you're starting to make some money. Right? Animated gifts for the win. Cabria says, do you have a video on these charting softwares? Of course. Felicia says, Nice. Ryan says, what time interval would that be? This is a daily chart, Ryan. Daily charts. That's the time frames that we have been using. Jason says, you can watch it over and over and over. That's correct. Michelle says, when you see the daily chart, like on Under Armour, is it too late to get into that trade? Given the craziness of the market, it's never too late to try something. Right? So based on Under Armour, Michelle, can you remind me if you do feel like it's a trade that you still want to take, do you remind. Can you remind me what type of entry you could place to get it on a pullback? Can you remind me? Michelle says, oh, geez. Yep. The pressures on Michelle, we're all waiting for you. All your ladies, all your. All your sheet. Your CEOs are telling you the answer. So if you want to get in on a pullback, you would use a limits, right? You're using a limit order and you're trying to buy it. So honestly, I don't think it's too late now. I think it's a. I think it's an okay trade. If you guys want to paper trade it, knock yourself out. Yep. But it would be a limit order. Fantastic. Good stuff, team. Very good stuff. Great Questions. I love it. And thank you, Matt, for the animated gif Mads along. By the way, folks, if you ever want to figure out all the world's secrets, just ask. Matt's along because somehow he has figured out how to inescapably come up with 400 hours every day. It's really, really cool. I look bald in that photo. Don't. Don't I look a little bit bald? I look like I'm balding? I'm just letting you know, folks. I got a giant flock of hair under that hat. I got a luscious mane. All right, here. I'm just messing. I don't care. Okay, here's what you have to have in a trading plan. Here's what we gotta get. What you have to have in a trading plan, you have to have some rules. You have to have a strategy that you are focusing on, and you have to have a punishment for not following your rules and a reward for following your rules. Sounds pretty basic, and it is. So here's some rules as an example. Now, you are welcome to use these exact rules. I cannot tell you that you should use these exact rules. All I can say is you're welcome to. I use a lot of these exact rules. All the time, every day. This should be a rule that you might not think needs to be a rule, but it is a rule in my world, at least do not drink and trade or invest using any other mood altering substances. For me, that's including caffeine. I don't know if you guys can tell. I'm a little hyped up at all times. Caffeine does not do well for my body. I'm also allergic to most other mood altering substances, so I just don't do them. That's just kind of my thing. So I'm. I don't drink water. I don't drink coffee. I just drink water for breakfast. And I know it's a dumb, you know, it's a rule you might not think is important, but anyway, there you go. All right, here's a very interesting rule. What about this one? Carolyn says no caffeine, no coffee. Nah. No. I just wake up and just smash some water and I'm good to go. At least for now. I will say I've drank water before. I have. I've drank coffee before as well. But yeah, Rob says, I want to hear your thoughts on coffee after two kids. That's fair, man. That's fair. I'm getting to that age. Nate says coffee is for the late nighters. Always wait for market close before setting up the trade. Setting up you trade. I probably have an R in there. Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, always wait for market to close before setting up your trade. So realistically, that just simply means just like it sounds. Michael says, why it's a great rule. That's why. It's a very good rule. It gives you time. It gives you time to think about it. It gives you time to look at the chart. It makes you in a relaxed state. Obviously. I'm not talking about day trading. I'm talking about swing trading. You're able to see how the hammer is formed. You're not, you're not seeing something that's not totally finished yet. Okay. This is not my day trading program. There will be a day trading program coming up and it will be life changing. But for right now, we're in the beginner basics. Got to start slow. So this is a really, really good rule for my swing traders. Just wait for the market to close and then set up your trades. Right. A lot can change in three hours. So if you're setting up your trade at 1:00 Eastern, it looks like a hammer. Now type in A1. If you've ever taken a trade, it was once a hammer at one o' clock in the afternoon and then by four you are losing your money. How many ones can I type in? Oh boy, man. Pretty much every trade ever, right? Yeah. All right. To always wait for the market to close. It's a very good rule. Only risk 1 hour on each trade. That's a very obvious rule. Have a max of five open swing trades at any one given time. Parash says, what if it gaps up the next day never triggers you. I'll talk about that in the next slide. I have a trader saying, aren't you afraid of all the volatility? Nope. I love volatility. Bring it on. Chris says, that's my question. And you emailed me that question. Chris and I answered it. But I'll talk about that in the next slide. So have a max of five open swing trades any one time. Mitzi said, would penny stocks work with swing trading? I don't trade pain stocks, Mitzi. And again, as I mentioned in the very, very, very first class, you're going to want to know what the company does and you probably don't know what most paint stocks do. So therefore I wouldn't trade penny stocks. It can work. There's different strategies involved. But I don't personally specialize in penny stocks. Also because I've never met Anyone who's made a lot of money off penny stocks, not personally. I'm not gonna go there. This is a live recording. I'm gonna wait. I'll wait on that. Anyway. Now here's another one. Write out your trade plan and analysis at least 15 hours before getting into. So not only do you have to wait for the market to close, but you have to at least start planning out what you're doing before you get into the trade. Therefore, you could simply have a stock that's about to get into a support. So let's say that here's a support level, my friends. Could you be looking at a stock as it's trading down into a support, even though it doesn't have a hammer yet? And you can say, you know what? Maybe this is gonna have a hammer candle. Let me come back to it in two or three days and wait now and find out. Naveen says, as a plan, do you have a list of stocks you look at frequently? I do. Yep. And the answer is obviously yes. Right? You could have a list of companies that you follow pretty frequently, that you trade relatively often, and that you wait for your hammer candles on. Now, here's some more rules. Ready for this one? Do not move your stop for six trading days. Is that a hard and fast rule that I can verify? Make sure you follow. Is that a hard and fast rule that you can verify that you follow? Scott and Michelle both asking about scanning for hammers. Yep, you can scan for hammers. Remember TrendSpider, the charring software we've been using? This entire program does just that. That's why I've been telling you guys to use. It has a scanning feature and it search for hammers for you. Very useful. Or again, if you ever want to hear what I'm looking at or what stocks I'm setting up, you can always join my trading room. I do that as well. Paige says, does Trendspotter have an app for the phone? Not yet. Not yet. Liz says, now I've got my answer about moving your stop loss. Boom. I love it. What up? So that's just a very simple, very basic rule. Very simple, very basic, very easy to use. Next, ready for this one. If the stock gaps over your entry, wait at least three days before canceling or adjusting. Never hold over earnings and verify when earnings are on a stock, please. That's a very important rule. Very important rule. So again, I'll repeat it. If the stock gaps over your entry, wait at least three days before canceling or adjusting that rule. Rob, is that what you're explaining when you say, can you explain that rule a bit more? So let's say you have a hammer candle that shapes up and the stock opens right here at the pink line. And you had an entry right here. You're not going to be getting filled on that setup. So the rule is you want to wait at least three days before canceling or adjusting that trade. So if it three days, if it goes up higher and you want to change that from a stop limit to a limit or you want to adjust it or something like that, you can totally do that. The reason that I don't want you to hold stocks over earnings is because earnings are very, very volatile. So if you get into a trade and it's over earnings, there's a chance that it could gap down against you quite largely and you could lose a lot of money quickly. So that's why you don't really want to do that if you can avoid it. Phillips is how many days before earnings are you willing to enter a trade? That's a good question, Philip. I would say six days before earnings is pretty comfortable for me. Farrah says are we also holding in case of a pullback? Yep, exactly. So just wait three days. That's why you want to keep it open. Because it could pull back and fill you. Right. It could come back and retest you. You don't want to react emotionally. You also want to have some type of rule in there that, that you can verify and measurably track. Did you follow your rule in your plan or not? Really, really good, useful plan rule to have. Alright, here's another rule. If your 2.4 R target has not been hit in four weeks but you are profitable, increase your stop loss to lock in gains and keep holding for another two weeks. Pretty basic rule. If the trade goes down from negative 0.6 Rs to negative 0.9 Rs and then magically, thanks to Harry Potter and his wizardry magic rallies back to profitable by 0.9 Rs or more. Go ahead and take the gain. Another very specific rule, if you are profitable on all your swing trades at once, close them all and lock in gains. That rule helped me in February, you know, when we were at all time highs and the market was doing great and everything was just smiling and beaming and happy. I was profitable and everything. I was like, well let me just close it out. Diego says, even if you just started trade. Yeah, if you're profitable, sure. So if you just got into the position but you're still profitable on it that is okay. Great questions, team. Good. There's a lot here. Hope you're taking notes, you're taking screenshots or doing pretty prints or something, or rewatching it or filling out your workbooks. Whatever it is you're doing, do something. Now let's talk about the strategy. Michael said, I did that two days ago. Made $970 that day. Nice, nice. Let's talk through the strategy. Now, here's a really cool strategy. So as we're talking through it, the hammer must have a lower shadow which went below the low of at least one other candle. That's a very, very specific rule of your strategy. Would you guys all agree? Yeah. The hammer must have a lower shadow which went below the low of at least one other candle. If you don't have that, just don't trade it. If you do have, it's a good hammer. Here's another rule that you can add. Again, you don't have to, but it's useful if you do. The weekly and monthly chart must be in an uptrend. So you're gonna miss a lot of hammers because of that rule. But it's very useful for you right now. For the vast majority of the traders are listening to my voice presently because remember, most of you will stop here in the beginners program. And that's okay. I will have another program called the intermediate series very soon, which is going to be life changing. But for right now, it's just easier for a lot of you to stick with a weekly and monthly uptrend chart. If it's not an uptrend, just wait it out. You can't find something in an uptrend. Just wait it out. Now here's a really cool rule. Within the last two to three weeks, there needs to be at least three bearish candles, which represents short traders which could be trapped. That's very simple. So like Kimberly Clark, there was a bearish can on. There was a previous bearish candles. There were. There were bearish candles. When we're getting into the trade, we'll talk a little bit more about that in just a moment. But that's really what you want to do. Emilio says, can you show the Rule 3 on the chart? Oh, you know it's coming, man. You know it's coming. I wouldn't just leave you out like that. Beautiful stuff. In fact, we can kind of just go ahead and do that in just a moment. All right. So the pain and the pleasure pains. A great motivator. I think you all know that Shirley says for how long of a period must the uptrend be? Weekly and monthly charts. So if you can look at a weekly and a monthly chart and it's an obviously in an uptrend that is perfect. So very simple my friends. If you break one of your rules and or you don't follow your strategy, there should be some kind of consequence. I know it sounds insane, weird and kind of stupid but gotta trust me on this one. It's really important to have some type of motivator to not be a giant dum dum, which I've been a giant dum dum many times in my day. Try not to do it anymore. But it still happens every so often. Emilio says, what were you doing in that image? RLT Trading Room meeting. Yep. We have every year a live in person trading seminar that we do like in September in Nashville, Tennessee is called the Real Life Trading Retreat. So it's really, really cool stuff. So yeah, that's pretty much it. The pleasure, right? When you follow your plan you should have some type of rules and some type of reward. So let me go ahead and kind of look at some charts for just a moment. We're going to go through the expectations and go through the questions. So here is Under Armour and we're gonna go to another one. Katiana says, are you doing it again this year, the retreat? I will be. Yep, I will be. So if you ever have the desire to go pop over to my website, RealLifeTraining.com and you can actually scroll down to upcoming events. So upcoming events kind of just talks through all the things I'll be doing. And this is an event that I have a presentation on April 20th. Here's my money Grows on Trees conference in Turks and Caicos. Here's another event that I'll be doing in Philadelphia and this is the RLT Trading Retreat. So if you want to go to reallifetrain.com you can scroll down to the upcoming events section and check out all the cool things that we got going on. Pretty, pretty stoked about it. So I will be doing it this year. Rob says I love Nashville and now I must visit again. Yeah man, bring it. Come on down my friend. So what we're doing right now is we are reviewing this rule that the stock needs to have at least two or three bearish candles in a row. Or it's our not bearish candles, but just two or three bearish candles. So let's go start with Google for example. Alright, so Google, we're gonna go to a monthly chart. Monthly chart. Ladies and gentlemen, is Google in an uptrend? Yes or no? Yes, it is. Perfect. All right, so we got an uptrend. So now let's go to the daily chart. Would you classify this as a hammer candle on Google, yes or no, specifically? Right there. Yep. It's a very good hammer. So what I mean by two or three black candles is, well, kind of obvious. Is this a black candle, my friends? Yes, it is. And is this a black candle? Yes, it is. So what I mean is, like, if you have a nice uptrend, you want some bearish candles that are there that can get trapped. So if the stock goes higher, people can start losing some money. Jason, you got it, man. I love you, buddy. So let's kind of go back in the past. And this is a phenomenal, phenomenal trade that I played on Google. One of my just favorite trades of 2019. Type in A4 if you can see the hammer. I mean, this thing is so legitimate. It's so sexy. It was painful. It was painful for me setting this trade up because, like, man, there's a bunch of people gonna make a lot of money. We're gonna party after this one. This is gonna be a good time. We're gonna enrich some lives. So this is obviously the hammer. Okay, so if we're talking about the strategy, does the lower shadow go lower than a previous candle? Okay, yes, it does, right? It goes lower than that candle. So you got some people trapped. Obviously, we know that Google's already in an uptrend. Another question would be, do you have some previous black candles that people could be trapped if we go higher than? And the answer is, yep, you got this one right here, and you got this right here. So it meets. It matches all the criteria. So entry, boom, stop, loss, boom. Google to the moon. Man, that was a nice trade. Now here's a dumb question. Could you have taken that trade with one share? The answer is yeah. So remember, you have to start in order to start. It doesn't matter where you are in life. We can't all wake up and be Matt DeLonge and Ricky Caden. I get it. I understand. But at some point, as you start thinking about different things and asking certain questions and growing and realizing different concepts and beliefs that you have in your life about money and happiness and the pursuit of visions and goals and merriment and joy, you'll start believing different things and thinking different things and seeing different things and getting different confidence that you've never received before. Let's go do another one. Let's go. Do Zillow. So Zillow is just kind of one of my go to strategies. One of my go to examples. Oh. I mean, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy. Zillow. All right, folks, let's just do some practice. Hammer candle. Yep. All right. What about this hammer candle? Mm. Okay, someone give me another company. Just doing some examples. Someone give me another company. Throw Uber. All right. Uber. Uber. So Uber. Newer company. I'm getting used to this new keyboard. Uber. Okay, so let's go to a monthly chart on Uber. Is Uber in a uptrend on a monthly chart, my friends? Yes or no? No. But that is a giant hammer on a monthly chart, at least so far. But it's not a monthly chart. Not a monthly uptrend. So you'd have to move on. Okay, Disney. Disney. Let's go check out Disney. All right, we'll zoom out. Is Disney in a bullish uptrend? Yes or no? All right, Disney's in a bullish uptrend. So if we go to the daily chart, my friends, type in a six. If you see the hammer of Thor, Chris Hemsworth himself showing up to your house, hammer in hand, guiding you into the streets of profit. Man. And I did really well on that trade too. I made some good money on Disney. Who? Tyler said you took some heat, though. I'm not gonna deny that. I definitely was down at one point on the trade. Emilio says, do you swing these with options? Sometimes. Charles says, would you have played the second hammer? Well, the cool news is, Charles, this one right here did not trigger until recently. This is the one that triggered recently. Just a phenomenal hammer on the Diz. So this one up here, you would have never triggered. This one up here, you would not have triggered. This one would have triggered, and you would have lost on that one. This one would not have triggered at all. This one wouldn't specifically say, that's a hammer, but it's not a bad one. But you wouldn't have gotten triggered in. At least not yet. You wouldn't have gotten triggered in. But if you wanted to play that hammer, I mean, if Disney pulls back to the low and bounces, right, you could set up a limit buy to try. Try to get in down there. You know, Chris says, because the tall upper wick. Yep, that is correct. Tyler says the first one did not trigger. This one right here. That is correct. It never went higher than that day. Would you agree, Tyler? Right. So it never broke above. In fact, it went lower. We talked about that too. We talked about shorting stocks. If it breaks Below. This one also did not trigger. Tyler. This one also did not trigger. And this one did trigger, but you would have gotten. You would have lost on that one. Okay? And by the way, folks, Tyler did just recently join the training rooms to trade with us every single day. Thanks for being. For doing that, Tyler. I appreciate it, man. That means a lot to me. Okay, Beautiful. So what's another one that you guys want to look at? Another. Someone said sn A snap on. Snap on. Oh, man, look at that hammer. Geez, that's a good one. So here's the cool part, folks. You guys are just throwing out tickers all the time. This is not a sales pitch at all. This is me simply saying, if you do ever want to trade with me, you can. You can go to realloutrain.com and click on Live Trading. And you're welcome to join us if you ever want to. We have a really cool community of people that we trade together, and it's just a lot of fun. So here's some expectations. We have one more module to go. Module 5. Abby said are you going to cover rules and strategies for day trading? Not in this particular program Abby, but in the day trading program which will come out in June. Yes I will. All right. Paul says do you know any brokers in Canada that have OCO orders? Yep, Interactive Brokers and thinkorswim Paul both have those programs. All right folks, the questions are coming in faster than I can answer them. I will be back tomorrow so bring your questions there. Michael says Does Ameritrade have OC orders? Yes, does. Emilio says can you share the website where you can find companies earnings? I can. Earnings whisper.com earningswhisper.com Christopher says I'm assuming the black bodied candles are stronger. Sorry, the white ones are stronger than the black ones. Generally yes. Nate says what's your punishment when you don't follow the rules? My punishment is I have to go without sugar, alcohol, well meat, sports for three months and I have to eat beets, brussels sprouts and mustard for breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days. And I have to donate $10,000 to the opposite political party. So I have a pretty harsh tough rule. Scott says after this Friday. When's the next series?
