Live from music City, Nashville, Tennessee, this is your motivational, sensational, inspirational, educational, aspirational, keenly awaited, highly anticipated edition of the Back Trading Ultra Marathon, presented by your humble host, Jeremy Alexander Newsom, with another daily dose of mentally delicious brain food, reminding each of you to love life, live life, and trade it. Team and friends from around the world, welcome. I hope you're doing remarkable. Type in A1 if you can see me. Okay. And you can hear me. Okay. All right. Good, good, good. Thank you, everyone, for your donations. If you have donated, you are here, Tom, and. Or you might be watching this in the recording somewhere else on the Internet at some other point in time. I'm really thrilled about what we have going on today, and there's no real schedule, although I can tell you I will be here back trading with my water, my energy, my. My protein bars until 6pm Central. And at 6pm Central, I'm gonna go into another class for an hour, teach and finish that one. So I will be going for approximately 12 hours today, which is really no big deal. That is the easiest thing in the world. Back training for me for seven hours is like play time. I mean, that is. That. That's like opening a can of water. But please don't drink water from cans like a heathen. Okay. Drink water from a hose like a normal person. And I want to make sure that we have an extremely exceptional time together. We learn together and we enrich lives together. So let's type in a 9 if you're just absolutely jacked up pumped right now. Oh, there we go. There's the nines. I love it. What I'm going to do really quickly is promote a few of my assistants and helpers into the panelist, and that's going to be really quickly. My girl, Emily Young. I'm gonna get her promoted in here. And let me just go see where my girl Sochi is. Let me get Sochi here. As panelists, you can't. You can't have a backtrack marathon without Jason Smith. Was not. I mean, what kind of class will this be if my boy Jason Smith wasn't a panelist? I don't even. I've never had a marathon without my boy Jason Smith as panelist. So he. They're gonna be there just to help me with any questions, because I expect today to get pretty rowdy, which is obviously the goal. That's my hope, and that's my intention. My boy Chris Stanley says, I'd like to start the day with a pledge of fifteen hundred dollars from our family to the Real Life Foundation. We appreciate Real Life's passion to help others in the world. From Chris Stanley, Allen Stanley and Ian Stanley. Merry Christmas, my man. Ah, Chris, you're so rich. I love it, man. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. I really appreciate it. It's a, it's amazing, it's incredible, it's really, really exciting. And I will admit I'm gonna be all over the place today for portions of the day. And on the back side, I'm gonna go ahead and get up our ticker and our countdown because we are going to raise 20,000 ish dollars today on this webinar. And right now we got about 19,000 to go thanks to your boy, Chris Stanley, Ian Stanley and Alan Stanley. So thank you. I appreciate that, sir. And I get, like I said, I'm going for the next 11ish or so hours. So strap in and let's make some dreams come true. All right. What I want to start with for just a moment is how I approach all things in life. I'm not saying this can't change in the future. What I am saying is this is how I begin. Almost any dream that I have is I sit down and I come up with the math of how it's possible, how can it be done, And I just dream. I don't worry about the outside influences. I do my best not to worry about fears. I don't even try to necessarily worry about the environment that I'll be in while I'm doing said event. I just worry on how can I accomplish this. And what I want to do is I want to break down for you how I went about the two events last year, physical events that were the most daunting and the most challenging for me. And then after I go through these events, what I want to do is I want to pick someone from the audience and I want to dream with you and figure out how you could accomplish that dream. And then I want to go look at how we could use potential aspects of the market to potentially accomplish that dream. And I want that dream to maybe hopefully be financial related. For anyone who's watching, let's go ahead and start with the whiteboard. And this was for me one of my biggest fears slash dreams, slash accomplishes accomplishments. I went back through some slides recently because I've been updating some of our classes during the winter break. And on many of my slides, on many of my about me Jeremy aspects I was discussing and I was talking about doing an Ironman, that was one of my goals. Huge, huge goals for, on so many slides for the last like four years. And Ironman, once I heard about what it is to me, immediately became the hardest thing that I could think of. There was no event that was more difficult or more challenging or more prestigious to finish than that. And it never really clicked that it was even possible for me until I sat down and just simply did some math. And I want to show you all what many people get afraid about. Many people get terrified of how they're going to look, perform, or actually be in one of your dreams. But instead of fearing those minute details internally, we just have to figure out how we can accomplish it and then we dream. So a particular an Ironman in general is about 17 hours to complete. Now when I say 17 hours, that is oftentimes the cutoff, meaning you have to finish this event in 17 hours. And as most of you know, there are three events in an Ironman. You have a swim for 2.4 miles, you have a bike for 112 miles, and you have a run for a measly 26.2. All of those seem daunting and terrifying to me. But to be clear, all I wanted to do was figure out what is. What does worst case scenario look like? I know I have to do three events. And the way I started to dream. Now take note of this, this is very important. The way I started this dream was I simply said, let me do the smallest piece of those three that I can do right now physically, and then just multiply some numbers to figure out roughly what it would look like so that I can begin my dreaming process. Because once you have numbers, you have clarity. Once you have clarity, you have intention with intention. You have everything. So I did a swim in a gym for a few hundred meters back and forth. I took that, I multiplied it. I was like, you know what? Based on this swim that I just did in the pool, it's going to take me 2 hours and 20 minutes to finish. So again, to be clear, I did it in a small, small, small way and then just multiplied the numbers out. Okay. Then I went on a little bit of a bike ride. And the very first bike that I ever did, the very first time I rode an actual bike, not like a Huffy, but one of those triathlon road bike things that you see the weirdos ride in the summertime when you're driving down the road and the tight, tight, tight outfits. When I saw the very, very first time I ever rode anything was March of 2020 and I went out for a 10 mile ride and that one 10 mile ride took me an hour. So I multiplied 10 times. Okay, it's gonna be 112. So it's 10 times 11 or so. So this is gonna be 11 hours. Now again, this was, this was just me sitting down, doing the math. Is everyone fair on that so far? I'm not letting judgment, I'm not letting fear, I'm not letting what other people are gonna concern themselves with. I'm just sitting down, tracking it down to go. What do I need to do to make this dream a reality? That's it. I'm not worried about do I look good? If I finish the race right, am I doing it in time, blah, blah, blah, so on and so forth. All right, So I have 11 hours. So now we have 17 hours. So I, I bust out my calculator like I'm doing for you right now on my, on my cellular device, and I take 17 minus, let's do 2.5 for two hours and 20 minutes. Two and a half hours minus 11 hours. That gives me three and a half hours to finish a marathon. Okay, so if I do this and I do this and I do this, that will be 17 hours. That means if I can shave off a minute or two, I can complete an ironman. And so I was looking at this and I just initially thought to myself, all right, well, you know, if I can make this a little bit smaller and make this a little bit smaller, I can add to some hours here. But either way, I will ultimately, hopefully potentially finish this race. Then Covid happens. Instead of training for an ironman, I just kept doing this because 3.5 hours to finish a marathon, I don't know if you guys know, is a relatively different difficult feat for a lot of people. So I was training for this race to eventually, hopefully run a three and a half hour marathon. So all I did was just run. I, I stopped swimming, I stopped biking, I didn't do anything other than just focus on the run for a very, very long aspect from April 2020, which is the very first time I completed the calendar club, so on and so forth, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I think a lot of you guys here know the journey that I eventually did complete a full ironman in September of 2022. And I finished in 14.5 hours, which was an hour short, an hour slower than my best friend, business partner Matt delonge. But we both finished it together and we both made the exact same amount of prize Money at the end of the day, finishing that race. But it all started from knowing what is your worst case scenario. The reason I'm bringing up this worst case scenario a lot is because when I tell people that I do ultra marathons or, you know, someone ends up running 100 miles, their brain initially comes up with an image of someone running like a gazelle the entire time from start to finish. 100. They just run the whole time non stop looking beautiful. But I know in reality 99.999999% of runners will not do that. They're going to run slowly, they're going to look hideous. They're going to be in the pits of hell for a few hours while they're doing that race. One more event that I want to share with you. Same exact one, Same exact dream. This was this also this year, same year that I completed the Ironman. Where is. I did 10,000 very ugly, very bad formed push ups in one day. So 10,000 in a day. I sat down, I simply figured out number one, is it even doable? Is it even possible? Is this a physical event that can be done? I google it, find out on YouTube. There was a Romanian gentleman who completed it, did 46,001 pushup and a 24 hour period. So I now know it's physically achievable. Okay, great. So I simply asked my question. How can I do this in a day? Tom, how many hours are in a day? Ladies and gentlemen, let's get into the chat pane. Okay, so you're all agreeing that there is 24 hours in a day. So I took 10,000 divided by 24. Again, this is how I do all my dreams. I just sit down, do second grade math. 10,000 divided by 24 coming up with 416 push ups per hour. Now, obviously that sounds like a lot, and it is, but I trained for this. I trained for four entire months to make this a reality. But in, you know, I figured I don't want to do push ups the entire time, like every single hour of the day because I'm probably going to get tired, I'm probably going to sleep. So let me do 20 hours. What's 10,000 divided by 20? 10,000 divided by 20 equals 500 per hour. Now that gives me four hours to rest, to take a nap, to take a shower, to eat, to stretch, to do whatever. So I have four extra hours, what I call bonus hours. Four bonus hours. And now all I have to do is focus on 20 sets. Every set is an hour long. And I have to complete 50 pushups per hour. So we know there's 60 minutes. So now I take 500 divided by 60 and I have to do approximately nine push ups every minute for an hour. So in order to kind of get ahead of the clock, I do 10 push ups every minute. 10 push ups every minute. Now, for the majority of people here, it probably takes you around 30 seconds, maybe even less, to do 10 push ups. And most of you here, if you've trained push ups even remotely, you can probably do more than 10. So 10 is not your max. Which means I am not totally disheveled and just crushed after 10. I feel good, feel pretty refreshed. It's not a big deal. But do you all see how all I'm doing is taking what most people would call insane or impossible or ridiculous, and I'm just breaking it down to second grade math just so that I can get clarity, just so I can figure out how it's possible, so I can potentially trick my brain to even trying. Because what do most people do? The answer is nothing. Most people just don't even. They don't try. They don't even let themselves dream for a moment. They just give up as soon as they hear this is what I have to do in order to achieve or to have or to receive this goal. And then they just kind of quit. Tap into two if this is making sense. This is resonating with you. All right, so we have few people typing in. So I of the people that typed in a two, Alex Newton. I'm going to pick on Alex Newton randomly. So, Alex, I'm a click allow to talk and I want you to tell me a dream that you have, Alex, preferably financial. And all we're going to do is just dream together. That's it. We're just going to look at the numbers and we're just going to see how in the world we can make that possible. So, Alex, how you doing, brother? See if I can hear you yet. I don't think I can hear you yet. You are talking. Okay, can anyone else hear Alex or is it on my side? Let me just check because it can absolutely be on my side. Okay. No one else can hear Alex. All right, select speaker microphone. Alex says I don't have a mic apart from webcam, so that might not work. Okay, well, all good, Alex, go ahead and just type in your dream to the best of your ability. And just be prepared that I'm gonna be asking you some questions. And so I'm have to type as fast as Humanly possible. So if you have some typos, don't let that be an issue. Okay? Just give me your dreams and when I respond or ask you a question, just throw in your answers as quickly as humanly possible, even if it has SIPOs. All right. Financial freedom involving buying a house. Perfect. All right, Alex, how old are you? Let's get some intel. Alex is 278 years old. I like it. Just kidding. Perfect. Well, Alex, number one, thank you for being here. Ladies and gentlemen, how would you like to be 27 again? Our boy Alex is 27 years old and wants to buy his first house. Yes, please sign me up for that. Type in a quick a in into the chat pane for Alex Noon. That's an incredible accomplishment. And also to be 27 and already with the mindset and the heart set of donating some money. By the way, we've already raised 50, $800, $5,800 or 25% of the way to our goal and haven't even pulled up a chart yet. Amazing, right? So, Alex, thank you, by the way, for just, for being here and being aware that the secret to living is giving. That is the secret. All right, so let's talk about buying a home. I agree that buying a house, buying real estate is extremely important part of anyone's financial world and their, and their financial picture. And what we're going to do is we're going to just, we're going to carve out the dream. We're going to figure out how we have to, how we have to do that. So since you've never bought a house before, Alex, there's something, there is something called a first time home buyer program in most states in the United States of America, first time homebuyer program, which means they're going to really, really be a lot more relaxed on tons and tons of the things that you're going to need to buy the house. There are a lot of programs that are going to offer you some pretty low interest rates. So quick question. Are you former or current military? Okay, cool. So Alex says no and he lives in the UK Even better. All right, so I'm semi positive they probably still have one of these applications in the UK but, you know, we'll find out. I'm not entirely sure, but maybe they don't. But they probably do. Well, let's say they don't. All right. The typical down payment on a UK house. So I know that the property in the United Kingdom is a little more pricey than the United States for multiple Reasons. Because in the United States, Alex, without, I'm not exaggerating, you can buy an entire house with land for $200,000. I mean, that's a two bedroom, two bath. Like you got. You got room for the wife, the kids, the dogs. You have lands. I mean, hey, greatest country in the world, $200,000. But it's gonna be a little bit harder for you in the UK Because I've been to the UK and I've worked with a lot of United Kingdom residents and individuals. So what's the house that you're looking at approximately? If I had to guess, it's going to be around 600k. £600,000. Okay. Yep. Close. I was close. So Alex says, my partner, I want to buy a rural Scotland. So we're looking at about three to £400,000. So let's just go top line. £400,000. Okay, got it. Now, for you to get a house there, you're going to have to have what's the typical down payment for a home. And the great news is, Alex, you're teaching a lot of us ignorant Americans some new things as well. So I'm like, wow, cool. I get to learn. So if you're going to be buying a property in Scotland, what's the down payment on that? Usually I'm quite positive it's not 100%, because there are some countries that you have to have 100% down to buy that property. But it's most likely gonna be somewhere between 10 and 20% if I had to guess. Okay, so, yep, you agreed. So you said 10%. Okay, 10% of 40,000 is 40K. Got it. So how much do you have in saving so far? Oh, man, you're so close. Our. Our boy Alex has $20,000 in savings. So you are almost halfway there. That's really, really cool. And if you're buying a $300,000 property, I mean, now you're even closer. Right. So it can be. He did mention rural Scotland. So if you're kind of out in the middle of a little bit out in the middle of nowhere, properties are going to obviously kind of decline just a tad in value. So you're getting very, very, very close. I love that. So this is no longer a dream, Alex. This is like months away. This is probably potentially maybe the next year. This is really, really close. So for you, all I got to say, my friend, is if you got 20,000 in savings, keep chipping away. Make that your primary focus. I would say again, me personally, do not trade that money Because I get it. We're here in a trading webinar at a trading education company. Do not take that money and trade it, because it's going to come with all kinds of level of stress that you probably don't want about losing it or growing it or like doing whatever you're going to do. I wouldn't do it with that money. If buying a home is your dream. Now, this, my dear friends, is the normal, average way to buy a home in almost any country. The majority of the countries I'm familiar with this is pretty normal. 10 to 20%. You buy a property, you get the mortgage, you pay the. You pay the interest, you pay the note, you pay the things, and you're good to go. And Alex is almost there. But there are other ways. There are other ways to do it. You could do something called owner's financing, which I do know is available even in the uk. So owner's financing, Alex, is where you can connect with the owner of the property and you simply tell them, listen, I would like to pay you directly for this property. You already own it, you already have it, you already keep it. You keep the title, you keep everything that you have. And I will be paying you X amount of dollars per month so that you do not even need a down payment. You just take over the mortgage payments. You live in their house, you come up with a contract, obviously spend a little bit of money for a lawyer or an attorney to kind of print up and create this document for you, present it to the homeowner. Now, is that going to take a little bit more work? Yeah, Right. You're going to have to go and either talk to people, ask people, knock on doors, make phone calls, send letters. It will take more work. But essentially, the seller becomes the bank in this example. Right? The seller becomes the bank. This happens all the time. So here's what's cool, ladies and gentlemen, Alex says, hadn't heard of that. I'll definitely look into it. Yeah, because here's what's cool, brother. That's one creative way of financing a property that's also available here in the United States, where you don't even need the down payment anymore. You can just take over a property. And there's all kinds of ways to do it. You can do a lease to own, you can do rent to own, you can do owner financing. There's a lot of really different applications that are just creative ways to think about it. Because, ladies and gentlemen, if you're taking notes, go ahead and jot this down. If you Want to be like everyone else, listen and do what everyone else does. Alex, on A Tuesday at 27 years old, is on a webinar for global stock market education. Which means, Alex, my friend, you are not like everyone. You are a very select group of individuals. So this is an opportunity that's available to you, that's different, because the only way that you get different information is by asking questions, showing up, and being somewhere like this. That generally requires both money and time. And if you can be in a place that requires money and time, that you have a mentor, a guide, or someone to give you information, proper information, proper education on a particular skill set, that is when your life will change because you will learn new things. And when you learn new things, applied education, applied knowledge becomes ultimate power. Now type in a 3 if you learn something brand new from Alex's position. Alex, thank you so much for sharing your dream with us. That's amazing, my man. This honestly, truly, without question, without exaggeration, could happen to you next year. Very, very simply, just spend a little bit of time and a little bit of energy going out and getting more intel for you, for your family, and go ahead and secure the payment of that house. Because one of the things that I did also team is I began to dream when I was younger, and I dreamed about 3% per month, every month, every year. I had a person asked me the other day, where did you come up with 3%? And I actually can't remember that answer. I don't remember that answer. But this is what I began dreaming about.3% every month, per month, every year. How much is that annualized? Not even compounded, just annualized. It's 36%. I'm not going to worry about the compounding. We're going to worry about just simple interest right now. 36% per year. So this is about how much I began to dream. I was like, okay, I'm a dream on how I could do 36% a year. That was my first dream. And at the time, I was making about give or take. And this is early in my life, I'm 18, 19, 20 years old. I'm making around $36,000 of income. And so I knew ultimately at some point, if I had $100,000 and I could make $36,000 a year off of $100,000, I could essentially replace my income. Now, I get it. There's all kinds of factors that I'm not considering in this formula. But a lot of times I don't want you to necessarily always worry about that yet. You can worry about that later, but just again, come up with the dream. Come up with what if. So for those of you who are here, live with me, and there's hundreds of you who are here. So thank you again, by the way. Someone type in an amount of money that you have in. In an account, whatever account that you want. I'm going to pick someone at random, and we're just going to kind of go through this. All right, so Rich was the first person who threw in. So Rich said he got $28,000 in an account, whatever that account is. All right, so Rich has $28,000. So he's got 28 grand. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna dream with Rich for just a moment. Again, everything I'm gonna say going forward, the rest of the presentation is not financial advice. These are all my opinions. Don't do anything that I'm gonna do ever, because that would be stupid. Never listen to me. I don't know what I'm talking about. So $28,000, we're going to go with. What if rich makes 36% a year for four years? We're just going to dream. So 28,000 times 0.36. So multiply by 0.36 equals. Let's just say it's cue number simple. 10,000. So year one out the door, that is now $38,000. Okay? Year two, we're gonna do the exact same thing. So now you have 38,000 times 0.36 equals 13,000. We're going to add that to 38. That's 13,600, technically. 13,600 plus 38,000 equals. Ready for this? This number starts to get pretty big. 51,680. That's year two. Now keep going with me for just a little bit. 51,680. 36% of that is 18,000. Times 36% is 18,600. So we're going to add that to 51,006, 80. That is now $70,200. 284. So year one, year two, year three. So we're three years in. All right, let's do it one more time. 0.36 equals 25 grand. And we are at 95k in four years. So we. In four years, we hit from 28,000, almost $100,000. We're very, very close. That's really cool. That's a fun dream for a lot of you. That would. I mean, for anyone. For me, for anyone who is Here, I think for everyone on this call, that would revolutionize your life a little bit. Just a little bit. I want you to dream for a moment and just come up with a number per year of a realistic percent that you think is possible. And type into the chat pane a number per year that you think you can do. So go ahead and throw into the Japanese a number per year. So we got a 20%. Beautiful. We have a 40%, we got a 25%, we have a 22%, we have a 100%, we have a 15%, a 25%. Let's do a 22%. That sounds like a fun number. 22%. All right, let's do 22. 22%. How many months are there in the year 12? 22 divided by 12 equals 1.8% per month is going to get you 22%, 1.8% per month. Or as most of you all know, that is a 2R per month trade. 2.2 hours is 2%. Now, it's easy to dream. It's free to dream. I want all, everyone to dream a little bit more, a little bit bigger, more often because it's free. It doesn't cost you anything. But if you can make two Rs a month, every month for a period of time, you're gonna do quite well. Here's what most individuals fail to do. Most individuals fail to sit down and just look at the math because they see this 2R number and they get extremely upset if in a month they only make 1.1.3%. You work all month long and you make 1.3%. And I asked everyone to put in how much money they think they can make in a month. And about nine people put in a percentage and only two people put in a percentage that was over 36%. Which means all these numbers are probably pre doable. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you the exact strategy, the safest strategy that I know of personally that I used to make 36% or more every year for the last 12 years, approximately type in a 9 if that would be interesting or informative to you. Now sometimes I did a little bit better. Some years I did a little bit better. Some years I didn't do as great. But on average, for whatever reason, this became my standard. And I actually still, I'll figure out one day why I came up with 3% per month. But it was just something that was like, oh, this is cool. Now again, do not listen to anything I'm about to say, this is not financial advice. I'm not telling you should do this or you must do this. I am telling you that you can do this. And this is available to you. I will say that. And that strategy is the collar. That's what we're going to cover. This will be the very first strategy I'm going to talk about. We're going to talk about the collar. And for those of you who don't know about the collar, I'm going to explain it to you. I have videos on it for free. I have courses on it for free. I have all kinds of information on this. Totally costless. But since you're here, we're going to learn this together. Now, most of you probably know, all right, great. This exists, this is doable. But for those of you who don't, if you have no idea what the collar is, type in a 7. And I'm not going to make fun of you, just want to know how we're working. Okay, cool. So we have a few people. Great. Step one, buy shares. Step two, sell a call option. Step three, buy a put option. That's the caller now. Again, I hope you're all taking notes. I do have courses, videos, classes, content on this. Some of it, most of it's free. There are some that's paid. I highly encourage you for anyone to type in a 7 to at some point, please take a particular program I have called Hedging with Options. It's one of the best programs I've ever made. But this, these are the steps right here. This is it. Boom. Buy shares. Sell a call option. Buy a put option. Every single person on planet Earth has the access to do this strategy. And this is the strategy that has made me the most money in my life. I'll say that again in case you're not listening. This is the strategy that has made me the most money in my life when it comes to the stock market. And that's because in my opinion, it's safe. In my opinion, it's relatively easy to implement. And also in my opinion, it allows me to be stress free, to be simple, and to just let a trade do its thing. And me knowing my ultimate goal Is to make 36% a year. Okay, who's ready for some charts? Type in A2. Chart time. Go share the desktop. Boom. Here we go. We got it. We got it. And I'm going to go with Starbucks and we're going to begin this back trade and we're going to go all the way back to. Let's See, I don't know. 2012. 2012, oh3. Oh3. 2012, 3rd of March. Got it. Okay. Auto scale. And what we're going to do is we're going to go to the very, very, very far right. So I have no idea what's happening. And I'm not even going to use moving averages. I'm not going to use lines. I'm not going to use anything. I'm just going to use math. Try this again. This will be a very interesting day. If this is what happens Trading View the whole time, let me actually restart it because I have been abusing Trading View. I'm a very mean user of Trading View. I've been back trading too much and it's probably mad at me. By the way, I should refresh this countdown just to see where we're at. Oh, my goodness, we are crushing it. We are doing so good. Thank you, Jose. Yes, thank you for that. I'll make it work. All right. 2012,03.03. I'm gonna go to Friday, I'm gonna click go to. I'm gonna click auto scale and I'm just gonna go instead of going all the way to the right. I noticed this happens the other day is you can't go all the way to the right because then Chart gets scared and doesn't know what to do. So right before you have to click. So I know that it's going to go up a little bit. So. So I'm gonna go to where I have no idea what happens next. Okay. So I got to here. I don't know what else happens. I have no clue. Okay, so we have Starbucks. Now. The first step to the collar for me is I'm buying stocks of companies that I like, use, know and understand. I think that's clear. Everyone in the world knows what Starbucks is. The second thing I did is I got in with all of my money. Do not ever do that. Unless, of course, you know how I would get into the trade and I would take the amount of money that I have and I would put that money on that particular position and that will be my trade. I'd be done. And it's because I learned about what the collar is and I know the math. Remember, team, before we get really, really caught up in the fear of, hey, don't put all of your eggs in one basket. What if you can protect your basket? What if you know your worst case scenario? So we're just going to. We're just going to practice this for just a moment. We're just Going to walk through, and we're going to use the example that rick had for $28,000. $28,000. And I'm going to buy shares of Starbucks on the next pullback day at 2218. And I'm gonna buy $28,000 worth at 2218. I'm gonna find out how much that equals 28,000 divided by 2218 equals 1262 shares. That's how much I could buy with this particular trade. Now, I get it when you say, jeremy, don't put all your. What about all of your eggs? One basket. What if the basket can't break? What if you have a bunch of chickens? I mean, in this example, Rich has a job. $28,000 is not every single dollar that he has to his disposal. He's got other money. He's got a credit card. He's got a checking account. It's not all of his eggs. It's a lot of eggs, all of them. Okay. But again, I know about this strategy. I've learned this strategy by reading books, by listening to mentors. So let's just see how and when this gets filled. We're just gonna practice this for a moment. We're gonna see if we ever come back down here. So far, it doesn't. So I missed the trade. Okay, great entry, though. Me. Raise up the entry and let's go buy some at 24. 24 even. We'll see if it pulls back. All right, 28, 000 divided by 24. I'm just gonna keep busting out this Handy hand calculator. 20, 000 divided by 24 equals 1166. So I'm gonna try to buy at 24 on a pullback. We got a little bit of a shooting star candle. Don't worry, I'm gonna go through all kinds of awesome back trades with you later today. Well, let's just go forward in time, see if that fills. Still waiting. Still waiting. Got it. Okay, so we bought some Starbucks. Now, we've had to wait from August to October. August, September, October, three months to get filled on this position. Keep that in mind, three months, because that's going to factor into your 36% a year. All right, so we're buying a position. We are filled on Starbucks. And this is how I can calculate how much I'm gonna lose on the trade in this situation. I would go out and buy a $23 buy November put option. Now, later in this back trading marathon, we're gonna do Thinkorswim, where we pull everything Up. And we're looking at the numbers, and we're looking at everything. This is me enticing you and teasing you a little bit, letting you know there's some more greatness coming. But if I buy a 23 put option for November, that's going to cost money. And you're like, newsom, I don't have any money. I just spent $28,000 all my money on. On buying those shares. Okay, fair. So you simultaneously sell a $26 January covered call. January, and that's going to bring in. I'm just going to guess on all these numbers for just a moment. $2.50. And this is going to cost probably $2.12. All right, so this is a credit into your account of 250. The 212 is a debit. Now, I'm not gonna be far off on these numbers. You'll just have to take my. Take my word here for a second. I've done a caller before, so I'm gonna be pretty close to accurate. Now, as of this stage, are all of your eggs in one basket? All of your eggs are in a basket to some degree. But you know your risk parameters. If Starbucks does this, when you buy a protective put, a protective put, ladies and gentlemen, gives you the right to sell your stock at $23. So we bought them at 24. So 24 minus 23, we know the risk, the dollar per share. So if you're risking a dollar per share, this is mathematically. Unless I am unaware of how options work. If Starbucks goes to $20, I can sell them at 23. Which means I now know my worst case scenario. Type it on one of your. Follow me. So if you know your worst case scenario and you know your maximum loss, are all of your eggs now in this basket? Because the phrase that came up in the late 1300s, by the way, were, hey, if you go to the chicken coop and you got six eggs, and that's all the eggs you're gonna have for the next two days. And you gotta sell some and you gotta feed your family because the Black Plague is terrorizing Europe, you better not break those eggs. This is all we have to eat. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket, because what if you trip? What if you get bit by a snake? What if you do whatever. Boom. The eggs fall and we don't have any money, we have any income, and we can't feed our families. So this is a risk management scenario. Great question. Someone said, how many puts would you be buying in this scenario, Tom, I'd be buying 12, 12 contracts. And up here I'd be selling 11. Matt says, what do you do in the November put expires. Let's talk about it. So right now, team, we have a November expiration and we have a January expiration. I'm gonna draw a line and this is going to expire on this day and the covered call is going to expire on this date. I'm gonna do it a different color and the market opens in 10 minutes. And yes, I do plan on looking at some actual live trades and just reviewing what I like and talking about some day trades. Maybe we can make even more money. And whatever money we make together, we can donate some of that. How's that sound? All I'm gonna do is just press play and then talk about what happened. That's it. I'm just gonna press play and talk about what happened. I'm not gonna do any analysis. I'm not gonna do anything. I'm just gonna click play. And again, I have. I've never looked at this example in my life. I've never done any of this. I've. I don't know anything. I'm just gonna press play and just see what happens. I'm gonna go all the way to January and we're just gonna talk about it, okay? It's gonna go all the way to January, okay? All we're gonna do is we're just gonna hear, we're just gonna be here and we're gonna. Tom. So when this drop happens here, you were protected. We had an earnings gap up, which is nice. So we gapped up. That was really nice. That was a retest gap. As you know. We pulled back on the retest gap and on expiration, on the November expiration, the Starbucks position closed at 25. That means that the insurance contract that you would have purchased would have expired. Worthless. Follow me. It's gone. You paid for insurance that didn't do the diddly squat, as my dad would say. This happens to you every year when you buy your insurance on your house, your house doesn't burn down. I'm very happy that your house doesn't burn down. Thank you. Let's continue having it that way. But this insurance contract goes to options heaven. It's gone. Now. The call option that you sold the stock has closed above it in January, which means you sold your shares at 26. So your shares are gone. You bought them at 24, purchase sold at 26. You made essentially no money on the collar right to the credit to 12 debit. You sold 11 contracts. So you sold 11 shares. You saw 66 laying around. So let's just do some super fast math. We know for a moment that you just made a 10% return. You made a 10% return on your overall account, Right? 10% return on your overall account. I mean, that's math. From 24 to 26 is $2 a share. You made a 10% return on the. On the entire account that you just had. And you still have an additional 66 shares on Starbucks that are at. They're earning you about A$23. So let's just say for giggles, you made 11% return, Tom. And we started here in August. So we have August, September, October, November, December, January. Six months, and we've just made a 10% return. So in the next six months, if we can do about 10 to 20%, we're going to get very, very close to our 36% a year just trading Starbucks. And we also got a dividend during that process as well. Do you see how you can start believing that it's possible? That's all I want to do in this example is I just want to sit here and just go like, okay, could we believe for a moment because we have the math here that's available, Tom. It's in front of us. We just have to learn the strategy. We just have to know. And granted, I would have done this exact trade on millions of dollars because you can sit down and you know the risk. Hey, worst case scenario, you're going to lose 5%. Best case scenario, you're going to make 10%. So who is ready to learn more about collars in this back trading session? Who wants to work with me and learn tons and tons and tons about collars? Get all of your questions answered. Do 96 examples might be exaggerating a little bit. All right, everyone says yes. Perfect. So we're going to go practice those more during this back trading session. I promise you there's me more hours to come. This, ladies and gentlemen, has been our one. All right, we're gonna pause the recording, we're gonna use your bathrooms, and then we're gonna go day trade together. Hour one of Ultra Marathon. Okay? Gonna save that, minimize that. Go use your bathrooms. I'll be back. Two minutes. Sa. All right, Tom, I'm back. Why is this new project Click record? Let's rock and roll. Beautiful. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Beautiful team, friends and family, fans from around the world. We've already raised $7,400 and we're only one hour in. It's the back trading ultramarathon. Thank you for your gifts and your generosity. My goal over the next hour and a half or so is to look at the live markets today, trade with you to look at what I will look at to show you exactly my process when I'm day trading and hopefully carve out some quick gains. So while I do that, let me open up my trading platform. It's going to drag a little bit just a second and I'm open up so I can have that prepared. And then we're going to pull up everything. We're going to make some magic happen. All right. Wayne says great morning. Great morning, sir. Jeremy says great stuff. Rich says half of what I make today is going to go to the schools. Oh, thanks brother. Thank you so much, man. I really appreciate that. That's so, so, so cool. The secret to living is giving team. All right, eight more seconds and then I'm continuous screenshot because I'm doing all this on one computer. So this live stream is exactly what you're seeing now. All right, so I got tos pulled up. Perfect. Resume and resume. First thing I do every day is I go look at Tesla and I have one question and one question only when I'm trading Tesla. Are we gapping? And the answer is yes, we are. We are gapping below or very, very close to the prior low of day. So I'm gonna go draw a line there. The prior low of day was 145.821-4582, Tom. And I need Tesla to break below that low for me to day trade it today, which it looks like we will. Shouldn't be a really big issue. That's it. That's what I do every day. So then I'm pop into an hourly chart. I'm just going to draw some support and resistance on an hourly. Okay. Nothing big, just. Just regular old horizontal lines, that's all. So I'm gonna draw a horizontal line here based on this pre market low, based on this high. Based on this pre market high. Tom. I'm gonna draw a little bit of a line here which just kind of encapsulates this candle. The low of this candle. That's pretty much it. Then I'm pop into a 15 minute chart just to see if I see anything unique or interesting. And I do see a very cool little high wave candle. Tesla's had a lot of these candles very frequently. In fact we had one just the other day there. And my guess. There we go. My Guess is with all these bear candles on Tesla that we're probably going to retest and then we'll see what it does. But I am able to trade it already because we did take out the low of the day. Right. So this blue line is the prior day's low. So let's talk about, just for a moment, the sentiment of all these candles. Why am I not shorting immediately? Well, again, look at it. Bear candle. Bear candle. Bear candle. Bear candle. Bear candle. Bear kennel. Bear. Kendall Bear candle. And on the daily chart, if we go look at the daily chart really quickly, Tesla has had a few bear days in a row, right? One bear day, two bear day. This would be the third bear day in a row. So it just simply means that there's a lot of bears already in here. And those bears at some point are going to be buying, buying to cover. So that buying to cover is likely going to cause the stock to, well, go up a little bit. So it's going to go up a little bit. That means I need to wait for a retest to take place. I can either play the retest bullish if I want to. That's part of my plan. Or I will take the potential rollover bearish, which is more of my plan, which is to trade whatever I'm trading in the overall direction of the trend. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the most important part of trading. Go ahead and write this down if you're taking notes. The most crucial aspect of trading is to correctly determine the trend. You will make the most amount of money picking the trends, trading the trend. That's how you will make the majority of your money. If you are only taking the the majority of the trend, you will miss moves. The moves you take will be more profitable. So now what I'm gonna do is just pop in here to a three minute chart and just kind of see what Tesla's doing. So it looks like Tesla's getting some selling. We've taken out the low and yeah, I'm going to be waiting for this one for a little bit today. I need to wait for it to really retest and put in some bull candles and have some buyers come in before I can play it on the downside again. The markets have been a little bit on the weak side recently. All right, I'm gonna go look at gild. That was a nice gap, Calvin. So the reason I'm looking at gild is just one reason, one reason only. You have two small bull candles here and we gapped down at open. That's it this came up on a gap scan that shows me that this thing is gapping down so it's a little different than the broader markets. So if I pop into a three minute chart. Let me hide this for just a second. So the two day trades I'm gonna be looking at today, ladies and gentlemen, are Gild and Tesla. That's what's gonna be on my list, those two. And I'm gonna tell you all how exactly I'll look to play gild for a day trade is gild needs to take out that bull candle, make a new low, and then on that new low, I will short the retest. That's how I will play Gilead today and then back over to Tesla. I'm waiting for a retest to come in. That's so strange that some buying is coming in right there. I'm gonna wait for the retest, we're gonna analyze the candles, we're gonna see what it does, we're gonna go from there. Now again, team, quick question. Could I be or could I have been a net buyer here on Tesla if I was pretty confident that it's going to retest, it's going to go higher? Sure I could, right? Maybe you're doing that, maybe you're not if you're fast enough. Whatever that is called a counter trend trade. That's all. I'm not saying it's good, I'm not saying it's bad. Donna says net buyer question mark. Yeah, Just meaning that my overall position is bullish. I'm net long. Yep. Again, just simply saying, could I. I'm not, I have no long position on a day trade right now. I do have long term positions of Tesla and I've been hedging those long term positions by day trading at Bearish, by buying puts and by getting into callers. So what I'm doing right now is I'm just waiting. I'm a wait. I'm a wait. I'm a wait. The best traders are the best waiters. Go ahead and write that down. I don't mean like necessarily. You have to go have a job at Buffalo Wild Wings and be a waiter. Although, you know, I feel like every single person on planet earth in the US should start their career in a call center or as a waiter because you'll realize that your ranch doesn't actually matter and you should calm down. Take, take a breath, please. All right, so the key to trading for me is patience. That's why I spell it with a Y. You will get paid to be patient. Team, you're missing trades all the time. You're missing trades every day. If you can get 1.8% per month or, or 3% per month, and you do that every single month for a long period of time, you're gonna do very, very well in your trading career. Extremely well. So let's be patient for here for just a moment on Tesla. I do like this bull candle that we got. So a pretty interesting bull candle. So the reason I know it's a bullcast, because it has green volume and it has a very, very small, little bullish body. Also has a pretty cool upper shadow right there, which that's going to represent to me some buyers that came in. So if you're wondering why am I not shorting below that candle? And the answer is, because I want to retest more. I am dictating to the market exactly what I want. All right, here's Gilead breakdown. So Gilead broke down and it's going a little bit lower. So here's how I'm gonna set this trade up Right now on Gild, I'm gonna short it at 83.65 with a stop loss at 84.65. I've not gotten triggered into this trade yet. I'm not in this trade yet. But 8,000, 365 by 8,000, 465 will make the numbers very, very easy to calculate. Very easy. Quantity? 200,000. That should not be correct. Risk? 5,000. Hmm. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong on the quantity, but I, I thankfully know how many shares to trade on a $1 risk. But this is gonna be my setup on Gilead. So 83.65. My risk was 5,000. Oh. Percent. Got it. Sorry. Understand. Thank you. There we go. I'm doing this for visual purposes because I know how to calculate a dollar. But thank you, Thomas and Darian. I appreciate it. Again, team, I have no clue if this day trade is going to trigger or if this day trade will work, but it's a perfect setup and it's exactly what I would do a thousand percent of the time. It's a great, great trade. Now, thankfully, on a daily chart, we do happen to be in this already as a bear swing trade. We got triggered into this one yesterday on a 10 EMA play because this is a bull candle. And we took out the low of that bull candle just to show you that position that we set up again just for, I don't know, whatever the word is I'm looking for. If I Come into swing trades. So we'll scroll up and here it is. Bear swing on Gilead. This is what it looks like. Setting up the trade. So pulled this, posted this over the weekend. Entry 85 59, stop 91.59, target 78.19. Also came down and posted it not only in Trading View for everyone who follows me on Trading View, but it's also here in our official Tom trade journal worksheet and on Slack. So it's three different places and I think that's extremely interesting. And again, I do love this gap. Me and Calvin didn't believe that that gap was real yesterday. But that's okay. I'm happy that it was. All right, so back to a three minute chart. I will leave this trade open for probably another seven or eight minutes. Here's one of my rules is if I'm looking at a chart and I can see that the trade goes well past one of my targets, I would just end up canceling it and waiting for another trade. So I'm going to wait on this one for just a few moments to see if we can retest into this move right here. I'm a pop back over to Tesla and again I'm gonna look at on a three minute chart. And looking at on a three minute chart. I do like this little retest here, Tom. I like this bull candle. Let's go look at the 15 minute chart. And that was a. Okay, pullback what we have right here. So to delete some lines, I'm not in this trade short on Tesla. But let's again just practice the sentiment that is here. Let's just think through why did I draw this purple line? Who can tell me? There was a reason. There's a reason I drew that purple line. What was that purple line based from? David H. Says support resistance. Yep. So it was the 15 minute chart and drew this line based on this one candle right here. That was it. One candle. It was a previous support type in a one if you're following me because again, my goal is to make this as easy as possible. Okay. So yeah, you guys all get that. And again, I'm just following two tickers. Tesla and Gilead. There's 4,000 stocks I'd be watching. Today I'm gonna focus my attention on two so that I actually make some money. All right, so since everyone's typing in A one, answer me this question. How did I come up with the idea or the thought that Tesla could retest that exact price? Because again, came to team. Keep in mind My goal is to teach you the, the process and the system. Once you have the process and the system, you can replicate it on your own and you can kind of tweak it and adjust it based on what you see. But how do I figure or guess that it was going to retest into that level? Support becomes resistance. Old support, new resistance, retest gap, back to previous support, previous day resistance. So those are all pretty close. Yuvaris, as the S curve, pretty close. Alex says retest gap coupled with the support resistance, also very close. Those are all correct answers, by the way. To be clear, I'm asking someone to read my mind. There was one thing that I did mention when I was doing this analysis that gave me the reason and the rationale of why it was going to retest to that level. There we go. Getting closer, getting closer. Brian says third down day in a row. Getting closer, Brian, we're getting really close. So the answer is all of those bear candles on the 15 minute chart. All of those bear candles. So my process on Tesla and on 99% of the day trades, I take as I look at the daily chart. First I make the determination, am I going to trade it based on is it moving past the low or the high of the day from yesterday? That's number one. Number two, I go into the hourly chart, I draw some support resistance levels. Number three, I go into the 15 minute chart and look at pre market, post market and make my determination of where I need to get in based on the candles and based on how it looks. That's my process. Again, I didn't take this trade. I'm never going to be as fast as I want to be on the microphone, Tom, or especially in a marathon like this. But let's just walk through, let's just dream for a moment. Could anyone here have shorted at 148 with a thousand shares and covered at 145 in less than 15 minutes? Again, we just want to dream here for a second. I'm not asking you to. You should have done this trade. I'm not saying that you're stupid if you didn't. What I'm asking is, could you have done that? Is it mathematically possible? And the answer is, yes, it is. Someone in the world did do that. Because when you're looking at candles, ladies and gentlemen, you're looking at real emotions, you're looking at real people, you're looking at what action actually took place and transpired. That's what excites me. So what I'm doing is I'm a pop in here to a woman at chart for just a second and I'm going to move this over here. So let's look at this candle. This one minute. This 60 second candle on Tesla had a volume of 958,000. Let's call it a million since we're just being funny. All right, A million shares got traded in this 60 second candle. How long is 60 seconds? Okay, it's pretty, pretty, pretty quick. All right, 60 seconds. How many seconds are in 60 seconds? All right, we're talking very, very fast, Tom. So we have 60 seconds. A million shares on average at one. Let's just call it 1:47. Again, I'm stretching it to make things a little bit Basic, but that's a US$147 million changed hands in 60 seconds on Tesla, ladies and gentlemen. Does that excite you? Does that not blow your mind? I mean, that's just the math. I'm not doing it incorrectly. US$147 million changes hands in 60 seconds on Tesla. Right there. And you're worried about your thousand shares. You think, you think the market make makers know that you exist? You think they can see Your order of 25 shares and you're going to get wicked out on your trade. Market doesn't care about you. Why do you care so much about the market? Why do you make this so personal? Why do you think that you matter? You are swimming in a pool of infinite currency and you're worried about your money. Live in abundance. Stop stressing about it. Because you could have done that with a thousand shares, with 10,000 shares, with a hundred thousand shares. You would have not even shown up on the radar. You barely would have even made the order ticket if you were standing at the counter of Quiznos. They wouldn't even called your sub. You'd be. You barely would have gotten your cheese on your sub if you had a hundred thousand shares. Are you guys with me? Like you, you'd have to wait for your cheese. You probably wouldn't even gotten soup with a hundred thousand shares. So when you're talking about the massive size of the market, allow yourself to bathe in how huge it is and understand. It's like the ocean. The longer you're in the ocean, the longer you stay in the ocean, the more guaranteed you are to die. The ocean is huge. It will eat you. It crushes everything. It ultimately will eat everything in its power. The market's the exact same way. Someone in the chat pain says, what a wake up call. Beautiful, beautiful. Because I want you to think about the ease and the simplicity of the markets for a moment. I want you to realize that you can have a process where you go, hey, here's my process. And this is what I'm here to do in the markets, is just carve out, you know, two or $3,000 and then move on about my day. Think about it like the ocean. When you go, when you go to the ocean, how long do you actually play in the water, right? You're going there for an hour or two. You're 99 of people here. Like when you go with your family and you're out in the ocean, you're not there all day. You're gonna get a sunburn, you're gonna get hungry. You got the Sands, but you're gonna, you're gonna be in and out. You're gonna play, you're gonna have fun, you're gonna leave the ocean, didn't even know you were there. That's how the market is. And I want you to have this process where you're not stressed about it. You just, you just are, are in a flow state that exists based on your external circumstances. And you can determine should you take a trade today or not. Do you have a setup? Do you have an edge? Do you have what you were looking for once you're looking for it, you know what you're looking for. You know your levels, set your levels up and let's see if the trade works. If you're scared, if you're anxious, if you're worried your size is too large. Because who here is scared about placing one share? No one. But the more zeros they get, add to this number, the more fear you have, and it's okay. But I want you to understand where that fear is and start pushing past those levels of uncomfortability so that you too can trade the markets and just have it as a simple system. Because on Tesla, right, shorting here, buying the COVID here on a thousand shares, you're up three grand done for the day. That's a mortgage payment, that's a car payment. That's a very nice. That's two nice car payments. Like, that's some legit, like cur. That's good money. That's great money. Everyone feeling me, I'm a pause here. Any questions on that for just a moment? Because again, my plan on Tesla is as. It's kind of breaking down. I will eventually end up shorting it again on a pullback. We're gonna come over to Gilead, we got the retest but we did not get filled. That's okay. Type in a nine. If you can. See the, the measly retest that came in, that was the retest. That was where I was hoping to short and it just didn't happen. And that's okay. That's okay. I'm gonna potentially miss this day trade for right now. But guess what? Your boy's not missing the swing trade. I'm all up in this swing. All up in it. Gordon, my boy. How you doing buddy? So we got triggered in on Gilead right here. Gordon, I want you to text me, by the way, I miss you. You said that you're going to text me more. We had our mentorship and then I get no text from Gordon. What's up with that, man? I miss you. How's your girl? How's the family? Hope everyone's doing awesome. All right. Yates is smiling because Yates is also in short on Gilead with us. So this is good. This is a good day. Okay, so these are the two day trades that I'm have up on the screen. And you're going to remind yourself of this in the markets. The markets are open until 4:30pm East. Wow. 4:30. No, no good try new. Some markets are open until 4pm Eastern today. So we have tons of time to be in and out of these markets. Right? We have tons and tons of time. So I'll be waiting for Tesla to retest again. And here is kind of where I think the next retest will probably come in. Probably 148.81. Usually on Tesla I have about a three dollar stop. Especially this early in the morning. Look at the 15 minute chart. Yeah, my whatever position I get into, my stop loss needs. My next stop loss needs to be above this candle here because we are retesting and there's all kinds of ways you can do this. And this is where it comes down to your strategy. It comes down to all, all situations. You could short a little bit here, short a little bit here, short a little bit here and have a stop loss there. And you can mathematically calculate that where all you do is lose one R if that happens. Right. You could do that. That'd be pretty simple. Just takes a little bit of an Excel spreadsheet and some math hourly chart. Yep. I don't think this happens, but here's what I'll look for. 149.60 by 152 60. That's $3 because I'm reminded of something very nice when I'M trading. When you are shorting, your goal is to sell as high as humanly possible, Tom, because if you sell high, you're able to buy low. And if this happens on Tesla, right? If Tesla goes up to 14960 and it doesn't mean that I'm going to be wrong or right, but if it comes up into here, that means that a lot of bulls will, you know, have been buying down there, they'll already be profitable and you'll probably get one of those and that means you could take your stop loss down from where it is to probably about here. So you can lose.7 hours and then one or two things happens, either consolidates and goes lower or, or consolidates and goes higher. Worst case scenario, you know your risk. So I like that trade for right now again all I'm doing is just shorting based on the hourly chart, right? I'm shorting into support resistance and my stop losses above the prior high of day, pre market high, all that kind of good stuff. So I'm just gonna see if this retest will continue to retest up into here and if not then that was the retest there. And if it breaks down, I'll show it the next retest. But long story short, I'm gonna try to get in on Tesla as high as I possibly can because I think it's a retest gap. It's at a 52 week low. It's like, it's like at a three year low. Honestly. Here's the weekly chart. Tesla hasn't been around this price since November of 2020. So yeah, two years. I don't even know how many weeks that is. But I can tell you this. We are below the 200 simple on a weekly chart. That's a big, big, big, big deal. Type in a 9. If you heard me say how bearish that was for Tesla to close below the 200 simple. I said it 9, 956 times approximately, give or take. Rough estimate. So when that happened, I mean you hopefully were able to take advantage of it. My boy Calvin is so excited about Gilead. All right, let me go pull up this. Gilead Sciences Kite Pharma agrees to acquire Team Uni Therapeutics. Okay, so they're buying a company. Got it. Kite said the acquisition complements its cell therapy research capabilities. So this is interesting. Generally, who can tell me again, not all the time. But why would a stock go down if they're buying a company? Is that a good thing? I mean there, there is a, there's a Reason to it. Yeah, they're spending money. Exactly. So if you are a. Well, I was about to say if you are a human. I almost said that. That would have been ridiculous. Imagine you're a human. I almost said that. But I didn't. I'm glad I didn't because that'd have been really dumb. The families that you have, right, you all have budgets, you all have incomes. When you spend money, does your net worth go up or go down? Well, initially it's going to go down because you're spending the money. And when you spend the money, you're hoping that the money that you spend comes back into your life more. So that's what Gilly is hoping to do. Right. But when they're spending money, they are outpouring their cash. So it is going to cause this to drop a McDroperton just a little bit. That's what we're getting. So that is relatively common. Again, it doesn't always happen. Doesn't always happen. But when a stock spends money like Tom Gilead on buying whatever frequently, you can get a little bit of a dropping McDroperton in the market. It is doable. All right, so here goes Tesla for the second time back up to that resistance. What I'm looking for Tesla to do is potentially just poke its head just a little bit above that resistance. And again, this is going to turn into either some sort of double bottom where it trades up in here. Like I said, it comes down and either bounces or not. And I'm going to watch this for you all to kind of just show you what I'm looking for when I'm day trading and how much bullishness I want to see because I actually want a lot of bull candles to come in before I get into a trade short. I want that to happen. Why would I want a bunch of bull candles to rampage into my short entry? Who can guess? Yeah, because those bulls are trapped. That's. That is an answer. But there's another. Yeah, bulls have to sell their position to close. Yeah, that's how. That's how bull traders get in. But there's a very popular term. Sell high, buy low. There you go. Sell high, buy low, AKA better risk reward. Better risk reward. So again, we'll see. What I'm looking for is if I get a few bull candles come in here, that's going up into resistance. Because the overall trend on the daily chart is still bearish. Right. Then I will, you know, we'll see if we get a rollover. If we get a Few bear candles that come in right here at this resistance and we trap those bear candles. And I'll be a little bit less excited about this short because those bears will be trapped in. So this is where I would sit in and just kind of watch and just try to really determine how, how high I want to get in. Because I have two choices, Tom. If we get some bear candles, we get some compression and we start breaking out of this resistance, I'm gonna most likely take my entry and put it up to here. I'm gonna increase my entry and put it near or at by pre market resistance because. And this is where I want all of you to be taking notes. I'm not getting in bullish, although I understand why I could have or why it makes sense to get in bullish. I'm just not taking countertrend trades right now. Not saying I can't, not saying you can't, I'll saying you shouldn't. But the majority of the time I'm very, very cautious taking counter trend trades. If I'm gonna take a counter trend trade, I really like it to be later in the day. Right. So I can kind of see all the moving averages and see what happened and all that kind of good stuff. Cool. Go back over to Gilead because I would like to see what, you know, we can short it back up into here. I'm gonna keep giving that one some time. Let's just go look through some other trades just for a moment because we have our Tesla trade set up. So this is when I will go through and see what else, what else is happening out there. Square gapped down, getting bought up a little bit. Alibaba Gap down, getting bought up a little bit. Neo. There's the inside candle that Calvin told me was going to happen on Enterprise Financial. Aflac Monster. I'm in short on GPS T Mobile. We're out of. Although I probably could take that trade again. Barnes and Noble Group is a pretty decent bearish swing trade too. If you guys want to keep an eye on that one. I'm gonna have to go in and update this bearish entry because the high this missed us by like 10 pennies. So we got triggered in on our 1R. I'm gonna go and increase this and just probably what's today? Wednesday, Thursday or Friday? Go increase that. All right, we got Gilead and then Boeing. Matt wants to look at Netflix. Let's go pop into Netflix. So Netflix, few bear candles again. Gapping down. So what's bouncing Netflix right now? Is this support here? So the open of really strong bull candles is a good support level, Right? So good support level on Netflix is the bullish open candle there. So strong little bull open that and you have the 100 simple moving average on a monthly chart. So if I look at a monthly chart on Netflix, you can see it's actually a little bit higher now. It's technically at 2 78-83-27883. It looks like I haven't updated this since November 4830 or if I did, it was on a different chart. So I'm gonna go back to the daily chart and here you go. We now have a pretty strong support level on Netflix. So again, you got this support here and you got this support here and you have the 100 simple on a monthly. So we can have a pretty good idea going forward. Team. This is again information you can use for the next few weeks. If Netflix breaks that support level, there's a very strong chance it's going to come down to the 250ish area. So that could be a short trade. If you're looking for a long, that would be a really, really cool spot to buy some longs on Netflix. And if you're looking for, I don't know, like a little bit of an intermediate style trade, then you know, this is a pretty good gap. So maybe we trade up into that gap, trade down, come down and bounce off to this 100 simple on a monthly. But I would be waiting for, if I'm the short Netflix, I would need a close below this candle and below this candle. If I'm a short Netflix on a swing trade on a day trade, I'll pop in here to a three minute chart. And I'm getting a lot of questions on how I determine the trend. And realistically, ladies and gentlemen, I always determine the trend based on the daily. Daily chart determines the trend. For me. Hourly and 15 minute chart determine where I get in and the 3 minute determines when I get in. That help. So we're gonna go look at Tesla in just a moment. The daily chart determines the trend. For me, the hourly and the 15 determine when where I get in and the 3 minute determines when I get in. So you have the where and then we have the win. That's it. So for example, since we're here on Netflix, I can see that we're at. So let's go look at the the hourly and the 15 minute for just a second. Oh wow, look at that. So the hourly pre market is already bounced off of the 100 simple. On a monthly. That's strange. Wow, how crazy. I don't think anyone here could have known that would have happened. So if I'm looking at the hourly chart, I see, yeah, some resistance around where we are. I mean, really, based on this candle, based on this candle, based on this, based on this, based on this. And then I would have another line drawn again, this is still the hourly time frame up here. So we can kind of see a little bit of a resistance up there, right? Boom. A little bit of boom. A little bit of boom. A little bit of boom. So then I'm gonna pop into the 15 minute chart. And the 15 minute chart looks like we got again just analyzing the candle. A nice little bear candle there and a decent close above that candle. So that looks pretty. That looks pretty. Okay, so if I'm looking at the 15 minute chart, I'm just assuming that we could do this or we could do this. Either one looks pretty. Okay, so then I pop into a three minute time frame and I'll pull up a strategy that I'm calling the 10 EMA. And so if I can get a bear candle here, we could take it bullish. And then eventually later in the day, if we can get a bull candle to close below this 10ema, then I can short it. That's a possibility. So I'll put, since a few of you are watching Netflix, but Netflix on the list. All right, so Tesla, ladies and gentlemen, quick question. Is it coiling? Is it building pressure? Is it consolidating? Is it trading sideways at a resistance? The answer is yes. Could we get some trapped bears if we break higher? Yes or no? Yep, we can get a few. So exactly what's happening right now is precisely what I said. I do not want to occur if I'm going to short it at this level. So that means I'm going to cancel my short. So my short on Tesla is now canceled. And now we have a very, very easy, very obvious question. We can either. And again, let's just dream for a second. We can go long above these bear candles and the target is about a 0.9 R profit into pre market resistance as I have it drawn. So if you're saying, why would you go bullish on this again, I'm not. Right now, I'm just dreaming. We're just talking about it. We're understanding why something would have happened. So in this situation, my sentiment changes because of this candle here. I now have a bear candle closing above the 10 EMA. We have a consolidation effect here at Prior resistance. And my short was going to be or was initially up here which simply means that it didn't trigger my short. Therefore I'm going to cancel it. And if I want to go long based on this movement, I can see a potential double bottom. I can see the close above the neckline, I can see the consolidation and I get a bear candle closing above the 10. This is actually this candle is the very first bear candle to close above the 10 EMA all day. Again I get to either decide do I want to go bullish, yes or no. Is the risk reward worth it, yes or no. Do I want to take a counter trend trade, yes or no or do I keep waiting? Were there some traders, let's call them the blue traders who shorted here last time and they made money from 148 to 145 and they're doing it again or they're attempting to do it again? Yes. So you have a battle of the blue traders and then you have a battle of, let's call them the red traders. And the red traders made money on the way up. Straw a different color. They made money on the way up here. They're making money on the way up here and they want to keep it again. They want to do it again. So what I'm doing is essentially waiting for this bear can come in. Now we have two bear candles closing above the 10 EMA which I like. So based on this particular analysis we'll see if it goes above 148.61 and if it doesn't, if it rolls back down here, the blue traders win. Right. Those people are shorting off the resistance and guess what? We don't lose. We don't take a trade. We don't do anything. Just keep waiting. I did cancel our original order on Gilead. Although I do like this little bounce that's getting. Let's go look at the 15 minute and the hourly and see where we could take a position. I mean we definitely have obvious support resistance around here, 8550. So if I were to draw a line. So this is just some type of support resistance level. Again this is. Sorry, this is the hourly. So we have some support resistance over here. We have the pre market low here and we have some type of gap right around there. Pop back into the 15 minute chart. Okay. And then pop back into the three minute chart. All right. So we have movement above the 10 EMA. Let's see if we can eventually get the bull candle below the 10 as it starts to kind of retest. We'll kind of keep a close eye on this one. Just watch it again just to see what it does, because screen time is learning time. All right, and then Netflix. So Netflix, you got a bear candle closing above the 10. EMA, this is also a second bear kennel closing above the 10. So far, we still do not have any bull candles closing below the 10. If that's the strategy that you're using. What do I mean by if that's the strategy you're using? Imagine for a moment you have a strategy that says, I'm allowed to draw my support and resistance lines based on whatever time frame. And what I do is I buy off of this pre market support that I created and I sell off of this pre market resistance that I created. Would you be allowed to do that? Why not? I don't know. Why could you not do that? Sounds reasonable to me. That's a strategy. The only question that you have to answer is when do you implement that strategy and when do you not? Is everyone following? That's what you have to do. You have to have a win. Do I implement this strategy? Because if you're implementing the strategy on sell at pre market resistance on Netflix, you're shorting right here. If your strategy says I am selling on Tesla pre market resistance, you are a blue trader, right? You shorted up of that resistance right here. So you're, you're short here and you're short here. That was a pre market resistance of some of some magnitude. If your strategy is buying off of the support, you are a buyer down here. So you're going long. You just have to make that determination of how do you know what you're doing? What is it that you're looking for? Does everyone follow me on that? Any questions while we're here on that? Because we have three stocks that we have now. We have Netflix, because I had a lot of people ask for Netflix. We have Gilead, because I'm in a swing trade on it, and I want it to just go as low as possible. And then Tesla, Tesla's very interesting because Tesla's working on getting a bull candle closing above the 10 right here or below the 10. So this could turn out to be a pretty delightful short. If we can get a bull candle closed, it will close in two more minutes. Victor is filled on Gilead. All right, my man, best of luck. Okay, so Netflix, we're hanging out. Gid, we're hanging out. Tesla, we're gonna see if this candle closes. Bullish, I'm gonna go ahead and start preparing what it would look like. Just a free dream here on if I was gonna. If I short this or not. I just want to see if there's any, any kind of decent risk reward. It's not terrible. It would have to make a brand new low of the day for this to really, really start rocketing and rolling, which is definitely doable. This blue line again is the prior low of day. We know there's some support there and obviously you have the prior low. So we'd. If we take this short, we're certainly going to need some level of it really to really start working. So we're probably gonna have to exit partials or be a little bit more conservative. But we got our answer for us anyway. No bull candle. So it doesn't really matter. I love it when the market answers my question for me, no bull candle closing below the 10. Because again, that's my strategy and we're going to practice that strategy a lot during this marathon today, Tom, which is that the 10 EMA strategy. All right, so on gild, I think the trade set up short that I would probably look for since we've canceled the other one is maybe shorting somewhere over here. A little bit above 85 maybe. So we're kind of shorting in the gap. A true gap fill would be 85, 41. So we're going to want our stop above there. Yeah. So it looks something like this on Gild. 85.04by86, 17 if you're shorting nice and high. Otherwise we're just going to wait for a bull candle to close below that 10 EMA. Because, you know, that's the strategy that I've been focusing on all year long. And we have three tickers that we are looking at. While we're just waiting for some stuff. Let's go look at the broader markets, the queues. Okay, cool. Gap down. We're getting a little bit of buying here. Type in a nine, if that makes sense from a candlestick sentiment perspective. Tom. Bear candle, bear candle, bear candle, bear candle, bear candle. So all those bears have to buy to cover, to lock in a profit. And you have a gap fill event from over here. So that gap fill is at this stage complete. So the fact that we gapped down into that gap fill and we're getting some buying, it does make sense. Now, do we have to buy all day long? Well, not necessarily, but really what you're all here to look for and to keep in mind is my thought process. Since this gap is now filled And I told you all it would for any of my RLT fans at this stage, I'm assuming that we're probably going to retest to 80, best case scenario, and then again, probably roll back down. The only reason that I'm continually saying that we're bearish and that we're going to keep going lower is that's because that's the trend. The trend is bearish. So I continue to make bear assumptions because that is, well, The trend. I mean, in fact, if we go look at the moving averages on the weekly chart, we're below all of them. And if you go look at the moving averages on a monthly chart, we're Tom, below all of them. So that's how you. I mean, if you need moving averages to determine your trend. There you go. Sue says, hey, Jeremy, if the overall market spy and Q is bearish on the day, would you be more cautious to go bullish on a specific stock despite having good setup? Great question. So the answer to that, sue, is not really. I actually prefer my stock to be moving differently than the market. Right. That's my preference. I actually want my stocks to be doing something different. So if the, if the whole market's bearish and I'm trading a stock that's bullish, I like that. Because what that tells me, sue, is that other individuals out there saying, wow, this stock is stronger than the rest. This thing is performing better than the market. The market's weak. This strong is powerful. I'm super excited. Let's go. And more people buy that strength, hoping that it carries their portfolio and it lifts them up. That makes sense. And then of course, vice versa. Right. If the whole market's strong and you get a gap down, people are like, what a loser. And so they try to sell that one faster and then take that money and go put it into what's actually going up. Yeah, solid question, Tom, but I'm all okay with whatever position I'm trading, whatever stock I'm trading for, just to be entirely different than everything else. So here on a three minute chart, again, the blue traders are winning. I'm a little sad that I didn't short at that exact resistance. I did have a strong inclination that I was going to short, and that's why I did set up the short here at the red line. We just didn't get filled. And that's okay. I can live with that. I would have loved to have gotten filled. Right. A bunch of bull candles, throwing an upper shadow and then having this rollover. But this is where you recognize the opportunity type of three into the chat pane if you can go, hey, at least we recognize the opportunity that we should have shorted out of resistance. That's all. There's a million reasons, million times. You're not going to get filled on a trade every day. The point is do you know and are you, are you right even remotely on the direction? So if everyone typing a 3, we, we knew that short was the best direction. We knew that we wanted to wait for that retest. We had the setup in the broker. We were ready to go for sure. Everyone here was just absolutely super excited about shorting Tesla on this little pop up. It just didn't quite happen. It was a little too high and I can live with that. Now we're just going to keep waiting on Tesla and just seeing what it's going to do. Same thing with Gilead. I'm looking to short at 8504 with a stop at 8617 until or unless we get a bull candle closing below the 10 EMA. And here we go on Netflix. We have broken below the low of this candle. We have a little bit of a double top looking thing up here. We have a cute little bull candle right there. Let's see if we get a bull candle that closes below the 10 here and then we're gonna have a pretty decent spot for a stop. So we're waiting on Netflix. You can see that little drawing right there. Hey, we know we're at a resistance and we either consolidate the resistance and go higher or we consolidate the resistance and go lower. So we will wait and see. But if this candle closes like this, I mean a small little tiny bull candle, that's an all day setup for me. Entry here, stop above the high of day. We'll do 3:80 and then that will give the target 1.2 to the low of the day. If we close the bull cannon below here again right now we're just dreaming. It's free to dream. Doesn't cost anything. Okay, so Gilead, so what's happening here is people freak out, people panic, people get terrified. Right? Good. Gap stops get hit, people short selling, day traders, all the things. And what's happening right here is people are going, wait a minute, Gilead is buying a company. Isn't this a good thing? They're looking into it Tom. Ever since Calvin posted that news article it's just going straight up. So the, the Algos are like, isn't that a good thing that they're buying more companies? Aren't they diversifying their assets and adding to the bottom line and blah blah, blah. So you have some buyers are coming in saying I think this is a good thing and I think they're going to buy it up back up into this resistance where whoever sold short is probably going to hopefully try it again. Tom. And then whoever didn't get out from this news is probably going to take this into consideration and that's going to cause it to go a little bit lower again. We will see. But that's kind of what I'm looking at. Let me draw a line on the chart for the 20 EMA that 86.09. So I want to know where the 20 EMA is on the daily. There we go. So if I pop into a three minute chart, ladies and gentlemen, you will notice that my stop loss is a few pennies above the 20 EMA. Because my thought is the higher this goes, if I can short into here and I can place my stop above the gap fill and above the 20 EMA, what's likely is that we'll get a little bit of a dip so that hopefully I can lower my stop and just lose smaller on the trade. Because that's really my number one goal on every single trade is to lose as small as possible. That's all I'm looking for. And we're coming up on about an hour of market open. I'm a pause here and just ask does anyone have any questions for me? Anything you want to review, anything that you want to talk about, feel free to throw them in the chat pane. And while you're typing this in, I really do like this candle. This is a kind of a cool, a really cool looking candle with good buying volume. It's crazy that it's happening at the prior low of the day. Would have never guessed that was going to happen. So what I'm going to do is simply ask Tesla to trade sideways and consolidate a little while. While for me here at this low of the day and if it can consolidate, you know, two or three more candles like that, then I will set this trade up to take the trade to go lower. Matthew says how many hours a week do you back trade? So right now, Matthew, I'm pretty much in maintenance mode, right? So I say maintenance mode. I've already done the work and so now I just got to maintain the work that I've done. So I usually back trade somewhere between four and eight hours a week, give or take. Joe says how important is post market trading versus pre market when looking at sentiment? It's a great question, Joe. I wouldn't say that there's a an extreme difference. To delineate the two I would just use both. I wouldn't necessarily say pre market or post market are more empowerful. I'll just kind of look at both of them as one chunk of time and draw my lines accordingly. Yeah, that's a great question. Eddie says looking back at the year, have you made more on short sales? Yes, absolutely. That's a great question, Eddie. A lot of traders inside of real life trading got relatively lucky because we extremely luckily went short on everything that I owned with all of my money at all threes on the queues. Very, very lucky. Of course will never happen again. I just figured all threes would be a really good spot Tom and it was where the 100 simple on the weekly. So again, don't think I'm cool or smart or good. I'm none of those things. But you had a bunch of bull candles in a row coming up into a resistance. So I figured selling high with a stop loss up there would make the most sense. I did do that. Also on the Dow Jones recently we're going to cover this a little bit later today. This is a short collar so this is me making money as the Dow Jones goes lower. Alex says I still have your 29292 line on my Q's. Yep. So 29292 was right here and that was another spot that we shorted and that was pretty much the exact high of both CPI and fomc. So thanks Alex for watching my videos and taking notes and participating man, I appreciate it. So yeah, that was a great, great resistance to either buy some puts, short some shares, sell some bear call spreads, whatever. And in today's backtrack marathon again we are going to participate in the live markets like we are doing right now. But we are going to go and actually back trade a bunch of strategies and practice and it's going to be, it's going to be a party. All right. So coming back to Tesla really quickly, we are consolidating but we're not consolidating as long as I want. We, we broke the very next candle. So again the reason I want consolidations because we're at the low of the day, the prior low. We're already at a spot of support. So I need more consolidation for me to short. This is me telling the market what I want. I'm not letting the market dictate what it's going to do. Therefore I freak out, panic and Then get into a trade. I'm saying, hey, market, this is what I wanted to do. So I'm gonna continue waiting here just for a moment on Tesla. Gilead still kind of going up a little bit. And Netflix, if this candle closes. Bullish, we'll take the setup. All right, so Matthew says how long should you back trade to get into maintenance mode? I mean, as often as you can. Just screen time is how you're going to win in this game. You, you got to get some screen time. You got to just spend time just staring at the charts and just making it click. It's going to take about three years before you even kind of remotely know what you're doing on your own. But yeah, definitely to spend as much time as you can. Realistic number, Matt. I mean, seven hours a week I think is reasonable. Yeah, seven hours a week. And a few other questions. Someone wants to look at Meta. All right, let's go look at Meta for Rich. So Meta today did in fact look at this measure of squiggles, by the way. That's pretty. That's not too bad, huh? This squiggles was drawn back in mid November. I've seen worse squiggles than this one. This is not. This is. This is, this is. Okay, so today we did open below the low of yesterday. So you're able to trade it. Here's the three minute chart and I would have not had any trade on it yet. And we're at, we're at resistance right now. So really to answer Joe's question, both pre market and post market. So I do kind of like this consolidation here at the prior resistance Rich. So my opinion would be wait for it to either break down and short it or break up and go along. Short makes the most sense from a risk reward perspective. That's probably what I would look for also. It's not like Meta has been extremely strong recently. That's probably what I would do. And then I have someone asking about VNRX volition. Not bad. Oh, the chart is gross. That is if you're wondering like what is a. What does an ugly chart look like? It looks like that. I don't know what else to say. You know, I'm. I don't know. It's hard to describe. That doesn't not look pretty saying all of that. To say this. The setup doesn't look awful based on the most recent candle that came in. So the most recent candle is a hammer slash high wave style candle. It is a bear candle that closed above the 10 EMA. You did have some bear candles closing with the 10 EMA here which would have offered you a really, really good bullish opportunity. But you're talking about a very, very cheap, inexpensive stock with not a ton of volume on one ugly chart. So what I would do on this one is A, nothing. B, let it break above and then buy the retest of this candle in about a week or so, limit buy into here, stop loss into here. And then you just kind of hope and pray with all the mind of a thousand sons that actually throws in a random upper shadow before it dies again and trades sideways for sex. Six or seven years. So there you go. There's my thoughts on Volition Ltd. Marissa says, what about VRTs? Beatrice V Ultras? Much better looking chart. Much better. I'm gonna, I'm going ahead and putting this on my watch list for next week. All right, so Melissa, here's the first thing I noticed. Sorry, not Melissa, apologize. Marissa with an R. So what I'm do first Marissa is I'm going to draw a support line at the red line. This is the weekly chart. So the reason I'm pulling up the weekly chart is because I've never seen this company before in my life. So I need to know, hey, what's it doing? What's the overall chart look like? What's the trade sentiment look like? I'm a pop into a monthly and I'm a draw support there. Look at how fantastic it would have been to buy off of the blue line on a monthly chart. Type in a 6 if you, if you see that. That doesn't mean that you bought it there, doesn't mean you have to trade it there. I just want you to know how easy would it have been for you to sit down and spend 18 seconds clicking some buttons on this chart and looking for the moving averages and going oh yeah, I could buy it there. That's all, that's all I'm saying. I didn't buy it there. I have no money on this. I've even heard of this company. But what I'm saying is technical analysis works, right? It works really well. And Whoever bought their 145 could have been you. Other people did it. All right, so now we're at the 200 on the weekly. So we got some support there. And then we pop into the daily and on the daily we have a really decent hammer And Marissa, Type in a 16 if you're able to see how we're compressing into those long term averages there. So the 100, 200 is kind of like pushing it around. Right. You're getting like that coiling effect of just like potential explosion. Cool. So I do like that setup. It looks nice. Now granted you've had a break above here, here, and here, which did not work. So I would assume the same thing's going to happen because it's happened once. So what I would look for is I would look for a gap close. Close. I would look for a close above 194 and then buy a pullback. And my limit by once it closes above there would be off of the 200 simple moving average. Let's call it 19029. And my stop loss would go below the low of this candle because if it takes out the low of that candle, I won't be good. And then the next thing that you could do is obviously play something non directional bullish where you make money as long as it does not go down here into January. And that's the strategy that we're going to be practicing. We're going to be going over during this ultra marathon because team, it is an ultramarathon. We're only two hours in. So if I'm running an actual marathon, I'm at mile 12 and some change. Well, this is an ultra marathon, so your boy is going past 26 miles because 26 miles is for losers. 26.2 miles is a joke. That's called, that's called Christmas Eve. That's called war. That's called. My legs are getting warmed up. Mike Teague. Mike says, I thought it'll be over by now. Lol. Oh, that's good. Mark says, speaking of a terrible chart, what do you think about Blue Apron? Yep, Exactly. You're exactly right. That's, that's, that's what I think about it. I'm just looking at this. I'm looking at a stock that's just going to zero. So just let it keep going to zero and don't mess with it. All right, let's go back and look at our three day trades that we're keeping an eye on. Oh, nice. Tesla. Nice. Okay, so let's just talk about for a moment really quick. Let me go look at Gillian. Netflix. Oh, yes. Oh, yes. All right. And Netflix popped Bullish. Okay, cool. All good. So Netflix pop Bullish again. You had that consolidation. You had the pullback into the 10. Yeah. So Neff. I mean type in a 7 if you can see the consolidation and the breakout. Bullish. Right. I have a drawn. I didn't take it. Bullish. All good. Not A big deal. You can't be in everything. This is me every day looking at charts, missing trades, creating what I want it to do. And if it doesn't, I take it. If it don't, I don't. No big deal. Yet. Netflix is slowly grinding up. So if you're in that or you're playing it or you're watching it, awesome. Gilead, we're gonna see how about how it plays, interacts with the 10 and then Tesla. What I want to do is I want to just, I want to talk about why I wanted a consolidation at the low of the day before I took this break. And what that's going to do is going to lead us into our next probably back trading ultra marathon discussion. When a stock is at a, a support level for me to take a breakout. Sorry I should say support or resistance level. Or resistance. All right, either one. For me to take a breakout, I need the stock to trade sideways. Build compressor, which is compression and pressure in one word or I don't know, two to eight candles usually. Because that two day candles allows. Pressure to build, right? It allows buyers to fight, it allows sellers to fight. You want people to fight over the price. You want excitement and thrill and opportunity and awareness and happiness. You want explosion. And the only way you get explosion is by letting that pressure build on top of that. You do not need this to happen if you already know the trend. It's only when it's at a support or resistance level that you need it to break past. You guys follow me. So if you already know the trend and you are aware that you want to short it up here, it's not like you have to get consolidation there and then short it. You can just short it at this resistance level if it's in the direction of the trend. If you are bearish, which we are on Tesla and it's at a support level, you need consolidation to occur if you're going to take that breakout. That's all I'm getting at. So what I do see is a second bull candle closing below the 10 right there. And I am going to set this trade up to try to catch that retest on Tesla. And so this will be the trade. So we're, we're essentially, we waited for a close, it popped up, we got us, we're getting a second close all below the prior low and I'm gonna short it at prior low of day off the retest of this 14592 by 147 92. So we got the consolidation, we got the Compression. We're getting the close. This will be the trade on Tesla. I'll post it in our chat pane. I'll post it in here. New day trade on Tesla during the back trading ultra marathon. Tom. Ulta marathon almost. Dude, put an R. Please learn to spell. All right. And there we go. Well, this will allow me to do hopefully is if we get triggered into this, eventually move the stop to there, which will be 0.7. And then most likely, hopefully move the stop to there which will be about 0.5. Then all I need this to do is retest where it's already failed before, make a new low of day. That'll be 1.2 or about $7,000 for me. Maybe more for you, maybe less for you. Either way, it's still going to be a really good trade. And then we rock and roll. Maybe it works, maybe it happens, maybe it doesn't. But that is set up now. And then Gilead, we're going to wait for just a little bit. But what you would want to wait and what you don't want to see is you want a bull candle to close below that red line, which will be the 10 EMA setup. And then you can short below that. Marissa says, is that a head and shoulders pattern on Tesla? It is. Yep. Good catch, Rockstar. Also, just to make sure that people know Marissa, that you're not a fake person, that I'm just randomly saying, I'm gonna copy and paste your question. And if you can do me a favor during the rest of the marathon, change your zoom panel from host and panelists to everyone. You didn't do it intentionally. I know. Zoom automatically does that for whatever reason. I don't know why they do that, but. Yep. Just don't want people to think that I have a best friend who's imaginary named Marissa. Good times, though. All right, any other questions? We have a trade set up and I'm gonna go pop into some hardcore back trading in just a few moments before any of you have any questions potentially. KP says, Jan, when you were explaining collars, how do you pick the levels? Kp. So ask that question again. Just a few moments, Tom. We'll get back into that when we back trade in just a little bit. And also if you can do me a favor, kp and switch your zoom to everyone. And not just host and panelists. Just we have a lot of people here. Let's go check on our donations really quick. Oh, this number is creeping up. Oh, my goodness, team, look at this. We're doing it this is good. All right, quick question. Carrie, thanks for. Thanks for giving. Ryan, thanks for giving. Joe, thank you. Jane, thank you. Brittany, thank you so much. So these are the recent gifts. I have a prize. Go ahead and give a. Go ahead and donate now. However much money you want, even if you've donated it again, I'm gonna refresh this screen and someone's name on this screen. Whatever shows up when I refresh, I'm gonna pick randomly person from that name and I'm gonna be giving you whatever premium product on real life trading that you don't already have. I will gift it to you for your donation. So it can be a dollar, can be a thousand dollars, can be any amount of money. But just go ahead really quick. Go back into this link. I'll post it in the chat pane. Right, Here we go again. You can put in a dollar, two dollars. Just throw in something. This is all going to go to our foundation. And keep in mind, for tax purposes, you will get. The end of the year is about to happen. So next year, January, February, you're going to get your tax deduction document. Because this is a legit, legit, legit operation. Okay? Okay. So you'll be able to decrease your taxes because of your giving them out. And obviously talk to your cpa. I'm not a specialist. I don't know what I'm talking about, but. Yes. Jason, thank you so much. Does it count when I donated yesterday, when I registered? Yes, absolutely. So that's a thousand percent counting towards the total. Thank you so much again. I really, really appreciate that. What we're doing right now is whoever's going to give in the last. In the next a hundred seconds, I'm going to refresh the screen and whoever's name is going to pop up, one of those people is going to get whatever product they want in the premium courses for real life trading. I'll pull those up in just a moment and you can get to choose which ones you want. And if you already have all of them like we had for Joe, we'll just, we'll pick something else. Some of you are fanatics and you get all the premium courses. Okay? So as you're all doing that, I'm gonna pop over really quick. Just take a quick look at our Tesla and Gilead swing. We just got filled on Tesla. Okay, so we are filled. Ladies and gentlemen, remember, this is a live trade. So if we went on this trade and you have some positive P. L, you're gonna have to donate more. It is doable. You do have the capability of giving even more, Tom, then you've already given, by the way, so far I call the exact top of the move. I'm pretty happy about that. So my goal at the top of the hour, which is 10 o', clock, is to move our stop loss to approximately 1 4750. That'll be the goal. Oh, yes. Let's go. Come on, let's go. How nice. I mean, that's just. That's just nice. Let's get that school money. Alex says I get the impression you've done this before. That's right, baby. A time or two. A time or two. Okay, here we go. Who's ready for the refresh? All right, here we come. I'm about to hit this refresh button. Here it is. We went from 77,300 to 78. 8. Oh my goodness. Okay, so here's the names and J. Jason Smith, you get to pick one of these names. Who is it going to be? There is only five on this refresh. Thank you. By the way, for everyone who donated. There's five people here and you can't select Calvin Williams. Calvin Williams is the guy helping me do the live stream. So don't even pick Calvin. But thank you, Calvin, for giving. I appreciate that, ma'. Am. All right, Tremaine, Dickey, Tremaine, are you here? You have to be here. Tremaine just won. Everyone, again, thank you so much for your donations. I really appreciate it. All right, Tremaine, ladies and gentlemen, type A quick T as in Tremaine and D as in digging into the chat pan really quick. And we're going to pull up the products. And Tremaine, I want you to tell me which one you want. Which premium course do you want that you do not have already? You name it and it's yours within minutes. Young adults option, trading the old back, trading the master class, the cryptocurrency credit spreads. Tremaine says I'll take the snapback. Tesla snapback, Matt Delong, sochi, type in A1. If you two can handle that for me. Tremaine, what I need for you to do is throw in your email please, and I will send out to my team and my team will take care of that. Thank you. By the way, for everyone who just gave. I appreciate that we will be doing that a few more times during this program and the prizes are going to continue to be flowing. All right, squad, so again, it can be four dollars, eighteen, a thousand dollars. Remember, this is going to be an actual write off. For all of you and I really, really appreciate it. So Truman, you got it. So she's got your email address. This is really, really exciting. And we will take it from here. Cool. Enjoy the class. It's really, really useful. Okay. Oh, come on, Tesla. This is beautiful. I like it when you close like that. Dale says, hey, Jeremy, can we get the recording if we miss it by the specified donation so the donations are tallied so you, you'll have all day to even throw in an extra five or ten bucks as it progresses and progresses. But yes, we are recording tons and tons of this today, so don't you worry. Now what I do right now is I like to pop into different time frames just to kind of see what's up. So here's the five minute chart. Here's the 15 minute chart. So we do have a few bear counts in a row, Tom, on the 15 minutes. So that tells me that we're probably gonna start getting some, some slowdown and some pause. I'll be lowering the stop in nine minutes and then in nine minutes we will go and look at some other other markets and some other things. Okay, let's go check out just some other stocks for just a moment. Nvidia. Take some nvda. So Nvidia's hanging out. Meta slowly breaking higher. So we had a few people ask about Meta earlier and again we talked about that consolidation. So obviously did not break down bearish. It did break out bullish. Rich, I don't know if you took that bullish trade or not, but if you did, sweet. Snapback has been added to germane to Tremaine's dashboard. Dang, Dan, you are fast, dude. Thank you. Dan Jansen. Google is kind of hanging out. Google is doing its thing. Donna says if you missed Tesla on the entry, where would you enter On a retrace? I would do the exact same price. No reason to complicate. Just join the party. 145.92 by $147.922 of a stop. Just see if it slowly dies. We either win or we lose together, but we're gonna be doing it together. So we're gonna be day trading together for the next eight minutes. I'm gonna move my stop on Tesla and we're gonna go look at and we're gonna go practice some collars again to have an absolute party. Type it in. 8 if you're excited about this party continuing. Been going for two and a half hours. I will be going until six central today. So we have a Long way to go. I got some snacks. I got my drinking drink which is all water. Promise. Might have to refill at some point. Taking pee breaks. Life is good. Jenny says. I don't think I'm gonna stay awake the whole time. No, you're not. It's okay, Jenny. I love you. Jenny is in Australia and it's like 3am her time so. It's okay, Jenny. But thank you for being here. Thank you for donating. It means the world to me. This was a huge dream of mine long time ago to have a foundation just to help and pour in enrichment and help help other people around the world. Emily says Jenny is always here. She is. She is always everywhere. Always everywhere. Okay. Square. I got. I bought some shares on Square yesterday. By the way, Jenny turned a massive corner. Jenny, how you doing for December? Rockstar, where are you at for the month? There's a lot of December left and you're doing amazing. 2.8 Rs. Nice, nice, nice, nice. Great work, great work. A lot left for December. Okay, cool. So up a little bit on the, on my Square shares. Alibaba just kind of doing its thing. Neo and take Neo off this list. I can take Bob off this list. Aflac is fully retesting. Monster GPS looks good though. T Mobile, Barnes and Noble. By the way folks, make sure you put Barnes and Noble on your swing trade watch list. This will be a swing trade. I think you guys will be able to make some money on the next month and a half. Two months. It looks like a really good double top. And I was actually extremely surprised that Barnes and Noble is still in business. I was, I was surprised by it. Gilead 83.95 pop into a 5 minute chart. Just looks like it's slowing down. And then Boeing, one of the strongest stocks on the market. Boeing is very, very powerful. Let's go look at Rivian. What's Rivian doing? Just going to zero. Lucid. Yep, pretty much the same thing. Nice little gap up on Lucid today though. Marissa says side note, I'll be joining your funded account program within the next three months. Well, Marissa, stick around because I'm be. I'm gonna be handing those things out like candy bars in just a little bit. Type in a 7 if you would like to win a $100,000 funded account opportunity. Well, come on, stick around team, because I'm going to be slanging them. I would be giving those things out like hotcakes. Heads up team. Sorry I didn't tell you that. We're just about to Give away a few more money. Santa is in town. Santa is in town. Okay. What other stocks would you all like me to look at together? Anything else specifically? I'm just gonna. Looks like one of those days. It's a little bit just on the slower side, huh? Kind of Apple. So Apple, this is my analysis for Apple, essentially, is just gonna. It needs to retest now. This is a very, very big close. You do have a support line on Apple. So I'll draw the support lines all the way down here. This is kind of like the last. I mean, really, the last support that Apple has. It can absolutely bounce here. I'm certainly not saying that Apple's gonna go lower. And I will not be back trading Apple today. Just letting you all know. It's not fair to anybody for me to do that because I've traded. Me and Apple are lovers, and I know it very well. So there's no point even back trading Apple. A back trade Apple a thousand times I've memorized every single day. But anyway, let me. Let me go look at a weekly chart. And on the weekly chart we have a very, very interesting breakdown. This is a very, very strong support. It needs to hold. It probably will hold for a little bit, but if it doesn't, goodbye, Apple. Down into 116, 120. That's all. That's all. Just a little bit of a move. You have this good daily chart and you know, this overall nice little move here. Good failure of the 100. Of the 200. Yeah. Again, anyway, long story short, great support. It better hold. This is what I think it's going to do is kind of chop around here. And for me, what I'm looking at is getting into bear call spreads up here. So getting into bear call spreads. So if we have a big enough pop on Apple, right, you have the 100 simple on the weekly and you have the 1 or 200 that's going to hold as a resistance. I did an Absolutely gnarly McNarlarton bear call spread, Tom, on Apple on this day right here. Here. And we will be back trading spreads today as well, just so that you all can kind of get better practice with those. But I didn't. Absolutely filthy. Just, I mean, boy, oh boy, a thing of beauty. 155, 160January, week one bear call spread that was just, I mean, ridiculous. Got filled on it and boom, exited, I think it was Friday of last week. Exit that trade went a little bit on, a little heavier on that one that I normally do on credit spreads. So, all right, what's happening on Tesla? Let's go look at this really quick. So what we're going to do on Tesla is I'm going to lower the stop loss 2.7. We have our target. Our Target on Tesla is143.63. And this will be the target on it. So we've lowered the stop to 14744. Tom, we have the target of 143.61. And we're gonna walk away and let it do its thing for a little bit, updating day trade on Tesla. Okay, so at least this way, the worst case that we're gonna do worst, worst case scenario Is we lose 0.7 Rs. That's our worst case. And we have a long way to go. Now I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go in and throw this into the trading journal. I had a question of the day about, you know, when should you log your trades? And I think my answer is just really pretty much when you take them. When you take a trade, probably should be the time that you log it so you don't forget about it, you don't get backlog. Just kind of do it then, you know, Kevin says, jan, this is fun. I'll be back later for more fun. Yes, sir. All right, squad, thank you so much for being here. Thanks for watching. Thanks for enjoying the Back Trading Ultra marathon. I'm gonna stop the recording here, and then we're gonna dive into some more back trading, Tom. And then, of course, we're going to fill up this donation button because we are crushing this Tesla trade right now. All right. All right, give me a few quick seconds. New project. Click record. Got that? Rock and rolling. All right, ladies and gentlemen, you are doing amazing. We are doing amazing. We are enriching lives all around the world together. Keep in mind that this is going on to hour three of the back Trading ultra marathon. And we are doing this to specifically not only raise money, but to build schools in Honduras. That is what we are here for. We're here to build schools. And in these schools in this country of Honduras, our goal is to provide the education, provide the framework, teach kids this information, since they are our schools that we are partnering with the Boundless foundation, we are able to put schools, books, education, information, literature about trading, about investing, about finances. Type in a seven. If that is a remarkable opportunity, this is how change is happening. Change happens with money. Change happens with community. Change happens with dreaming. And change happens with intention and with clarity. We have to get clear we have to know why we're doing it. We have to be very, very focused on it, and we have to make it happen. So, ladies and gentlemen, before we dive into it really quick, Congratulations. We just hit a perfect, gorgeous scrum Dillium 1.2 R trade on Tesla all together. How cool is that, man? That was good. Ah, so nice. I love doing it. I love doing it. Oh, my gosh, what a great trade. Got some goosebumps. And here's the best part. All we did was we followed the 10 EMA plan. We drew some lines. We waited for a close below support. We shorted old support, new resistance. We got into the trade. Let's make it happen. So, Sam, come on, Sam, work with me next year. Dude, this is. This is a. A microscopic dose of all we can do together for a whole year, man. But anyway, amazing trade. This is very good because now we made our money. We got out143.61 is my effective exit. We made our gain on the trade, and now we can go back and we can go do our back trading together for you. For anyone else who wants to manage Tesla on your own from here, feel free to. I'm sure Calvin's going to be going and doing something silly on it, making even more money. Because he's Calvin. That's just what Calvin does. He makes money. But now we're going to go practice some more collars because I got you all excited. I got you all excited about a strategy that I love, that I use, that I implemented, I studied, and once I understood the strategy and understood the math, I got it. And math is the key to making money in trading. It's about risk management. Management. It's about capital protection and preservation. And it's about being smart with where you're getting in, what you're doing, and how you're doing it. Okay, so I want someone to randomly pick a stock for me. I want this company to be something that you use, love, understand every day. A company that we all interact with. Any. Anything. All right, Jose. L says Costco. All right, so we're gonna go do Costco. Perfect. Donna also said Costco. So Donna, my dear, give me a year. Preferably something nice and far back away. But whenever year you want, you tell me. 2011. All right, cool. All right, Kyle, give me a month. Mike, give me a day. October. So we got the 10th and we got the 19th. So the 19th of October, 2011, gonna click go to. And I can't even see the chart, so I'm gonna click bar replay you guys notice that the. I can't see the candles. I'm just gonna select October 19th. I can't see anything. I have no idea what it does. Now, again, obviously, we all know the Costco goes higher. That's beyond the point. What I'm going to do is just simply show how I would enter, where I would enter. I'm not going to use any lines for this. We have over eight hours to go on this back trading session. All right, eight hours. And as we're going to go and as we're going to progress, we're going to talk about how we can actively trade this as a collar. Okay? So what I'm gonna do, first and foremost is just look at where we're at and draw some lines. All right, we got a support resistance there. We got a support resistance there. We got a trend line like this. Sweet. Those are three lines that I will use. And we're going to use. Remember that $28,000 that we started with an hour one. We're going to go back to that. But remember, we made a 10% return in that account. So we are going to start with $30,000. And we're going to put eggs in baskets. So here's what I'm going to do is I'm going to buy at 8358. 30,000 divided by 8,358. So eggs are going into some baskets. 30,000 divided by 8358. 358 shares. And I'm gonna look at this and try to determine if once this fills, I will create a level of where I will buy a put. So now let's go forward in time and figure out where we're gonna buy. Now, does everyone understand why I'm buying here? Even if you don't, I'm gonna walk you through it. So the main reason I'm buying here is because we have a resistance. We have a resistance. We have resistance. We've broken through resistance. We have a big candle. And I'm just looking at buying this retest and buying this pullback. That's it. Done and done. Okay, so the next candle. Here we go. Next candle comes in. We're not filled yet. We're not filled yet. We're not filled yet. Not filled yet. And we're filled. Perfect. So we had to wait five days. We have bought $3,000 at 838,358 for 358 shares. Type into two if you're following me so far. And I'm a pause here and see if there's any questions. Gina says, oh, my God, Gina, what are we oh, my goding about? What do we got, Gina? Gina says, I think I just made my $110,000 on my funding account. No, you didn't. You better look real close, because if you did, we're about to celebrate. Don't you get me all excited like that, Gina. You better check real quick. Ladies and gentlemen, we have someone who just got funded on the Ultra Back Trading marathon. Our girl gina just hit $110,000. Let me read this. Exactly $110,184.98. Let's go. Oh, snap. That's what I'm talking about. Whoa. You just got me fired up. Let's go. Gina, congratulations. My girl is so excited. And here's the best part. I know you're. I know Gina's story very well, and a lot of you probably don't, but if there's one person who deserves it on this webinar, it is my girl, Gina. She has been through what a lot of people refer to as absolute shitstorm over the last three or four years, and she has come out on the other side because she is all about enriching lives and pouring into other people even more so than herself. So, Gina, congratulations. That's so, so cool. I love it. Amazing. I got goosebumps. Super pumped. Congrats. Congrats. Dan says no one works harder than Gina. Not many people, no. Especially not you, Dan. You're a DJ on the weekends, so you. Love you, brother. All right. But congrats, Gina. That's amazing. What a great Christmas gift. Okay, so Costco, we bought some shares. So what I'm going to do on Costco is I'm only going to buy my protective puts if we break below this candle here. And so if we do that, we're going to calculate where we're going to talk all about that stuff, and it's going to be good. Okay, so here's the next candle. Perfect. Oh, this is. I could have scripted this better. I'm glad I have these cameras rolling. My boy Calvin could come at any point in time and see if I'm cheating on this. All right, team, just. Just bear with me for a second. I'm getting all pumped. This is when I start to get my runners high. Jack Smith, you hear? So this is what you refer to when you're doing an Ultra marathon is like, you're feeling good, you're in the zone. That means there's Gonna be a nice wall coming up in about four hours. There's a wall coming. But right now I'm feeling great. The low of this candle is 8211. What is the low or what was the entry for my protective puts? 8207. So that's a fantastic spot. So for me, I now know I've placed that perfectly. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to write this in. If Costco breaks below 8207, I will buy the a dollar front month put. Front month usually means 6 weeks or less. Okay, that's it. Now we have a nice little hammer here. So if we can go higher, keyword if. Then we're going to look into selling. So call options and. Oh, yes. Let's go buy. Get it. Let's go. Nice little bull candle. A little bit of indecision. We made a higher high. So now what I'm gonna do is something that's really, really cool in Thinkorswim. I'm gonna go look at how much option premium is here, and I'm gonna go try to get into. You ready for this, ladies and gentlemen? And almost unlock. That's what I'm gonna go look for. So now I'm gonna go pop up thinkorswim and I'm gonna show you how you can all do this as well. We laughed at Calum's over there laughing. All right, so I'm gonna go into thinkorswim and I'm gonna click on analyze and I'm click on Think back, Tom. Type in A4. If you did not know that, you can look at the option pricing in the past so you can batch rate options this way. So you can literally look at what the option pricing would have been on almost anything. Wow. Getting a lot of fours. All right, cool. Well, there goes your weekend. Ayash says, can you do it on IB not to my knowledge. I haven't found a way. No, I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I'm just saying I don't know how to do it. But you can get a thinkorswim account for free. I mean, just, you know, download it. Okay, so we're gonna have to go type in the symbol Costco and I gotta go back to the date that I'm doing it. So that is. What day is this? October 27th. So we're gonna go to the date. October. What was it again? 27. Okay. October 27th. Okay, here we go, Tom. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna look at some information here on Costco and what I'm do first is I'm gonna look at January and we'll look at my call option of. So the stock is at 85 presently. So I can sell a $90 call for a dollar 25. This is for January. It's probably a little far out, but let's do it covered call $90. And I'm going to get $27 in credit. Just make sure that's correct. Sorry. $1.20 and credit. $20 credit. This is January. Okay, perfect. And then I'm gonna go look at the put option and we're, we're just going to analyze some stuff here. So an 8250 put I could pay for November costs 80 cents. Okay. December $80 put is a dollar ten, 8,250, which is, we're getting pretty close. Is a dollar. Okay. So that, that's a debit. So we don't really want that. So let me go to January 80. Okay. So these are all debits. So what I'm looking for right now is how much would it cost for me to buy an option so that I don't really spend a lot of money. So the answer is nothing. So I'm have to, I might have to wait a little bit more. Okay, let's do that. Let's wait for another day, see what happens. We have a retest gap. Two bull cams in a row out of resistance. My expectation is this is about to occur. Let's find out if that happens. Okay, there's an inside candle. Here it comes. Wow. Surprise, surprise. Would have never imagined that that was going to occur. Big shock. Now, team, how do you, how do you think that I analyze this to, to, to happen? It was all based on the sentiment of this candle and that, that gap out of resistance. So again, we still have, we're going to buy some puts. If we break below this bull candle. We still haven't done it. Still haven't done it. Compressing, compressing, compressing. So I'm still waiting, I'm waiting for a good bull candle to come out of here. We just got the dividends, so that's nice. Bear candle. So here we go. We're about to buy this put. Maybe. Still waiting. Still waiting. Still waiting. Okay, so now we're inputs. So let's go look at. This is the front month. So that means in November I would have bought December and we, we did the $80. So let's just go look at on November 17th, how much that's going to cost? Okay, November 17th, type in a five. If this is already cool, you're like, man, this is so sweet that you can do this. So an $80 put is going to cost a dollar sixty. All right, $1.60. This is my debit that I'm spending on 400 shares or contracts. That's how much I'm buying. Because you can't buy half a contract. So you're either going to over insure or underinsure. And this is for. This is until December 16th. So that's going to protect me until earnings. Earnings, it looks like, is December 8th. So I'm going to hold this contract. And we have two choices, but again, for education purposes, because all we're doing right now is back trading, and we're back trading based on education. You know, we're here to learn. I'm a draw a horizontal line. Here's the horizontal line right there. And that horizontal line is the expiration for that put. All I'm going to do right now is press play, and we're just going to go to the expiration of that so I can talk about what would have happened. All right, that's really it. Because this is a learning. This is the only way to learn. We're going to go to the expiration. Okay. I'm lost with options, but loving what I'm seeing. Oh, great. Okay, so we got in our put, and again, we're just gonna go. We went all the way to expiration, so we. We had insurance over earnings. So what you'll notice is it went up and it went all the way down. So we're back to exactly where we started a month ago. Now, here's a very, very interesting fact. These are. These are $80 put options. So I need. That means I need to move it to 80. All right, so here's $80. We got into this position on this day. Here on this day, you would have been profitable on those put options. Right? Because again, a put option makes money as the stock goes down. That means during this time frame here, if you wanted to buy that put and then eventually sell that put, you could have. If you hold all the way until expiration, what happens to your insurance? So the cost of this put is now zero. You lost all of the money you spent on that insurance. Okay. You lost all the money. Now, the reason I just press play so that we can see what ended up happening is because this is where I would have absolutely gotten into a collar, and I would have gotten into A collar on this day right there because that is three up days in a row. Those are when I sell my call options. Three updates in a row and I would have sold January one ninety. Sorry. I would have sold the January nine dollar call and I would have brought in a credit. But for now, just for educational purposes, what I'm going to do is I'm a write in a box and I'm going to say that we lost 4 times 400 times 1.6. So 640. We lost $640 so far on this trade from premium because this option that you bought, ladies and gentlemen, this insurance that you bought, expired worthless. So again, this is an insurance contract. It gives you the right and the capability to sell your shares of Costco at 80 no matter what Costco does. So if Costco goes to $40, you can sell your stock at 80. All right, cool. Think you're all track with me so far. So this is gone. This is gone. I'm gonna take this line off and I'm gonna go ahead and draw another support resistance that I think is kind of taking place something like this. And I'm gonna say, you know what, I'm gonna wait for my put option. I just bought one. I just lost 640. I don't want to do that again. Let me go two or three more days. And I'm just gonna. I'm gonna start analyzing what I actually see on Costco. So we have a good bullish gap and go on this day. I like that. If we can make a new high, two more of these in a row, I'll sell a call option. All right, another bull candles. That's another update. So that's two updates in a row. That's not an update. So inside candle. All right, so we have an update. So this is good. We're now getting into positive equity, which is the goal of me to talk about this column. Just a moment. So we have an update. Another inside candle. I need three updates in a row. So we're still waiting. All right, another update. So we have one. Wow, Big close. Okay, this is interesting. We had a very nice hammer here. We had a few good bullish gap and goes this candle closed below all of them. And again we have $30,000 of our money in shares. We have closed below a neckline. Is there a way for us to protect ourselves in case the stock continues to go lower? And the answer is yes, we can buy puts. So I'm gonna buy puts again at 80. I'm going to buy puts for the a dollar strike when if Costco. Tom, retest 81, 83. And we are going to spend money on the insurance. So now I'm actually back trading a little bit more specific. I'm kind of going day by day as you actually would. So with this candle 8183 right next candle, it gaps down. We don't even get the retest. It just kind of moves without us. And now it's starting to come back almost to our price. So let's say we're wait for it to actually hit our number. All right. On this day, this is January 23rd, we're going to buy our put. So we've retested that level. January 23, Jill says is a bullish gap and go. A bull candle gapping up. No, ma'. Am. Bear candle gapping up. Bear candle gapping up. Okay. So we're gonna be buying the front month expiration, which is February, and we're going to buy an 80. So that's going to cost us 85 cents per contract cost of 85 cents times 400. So there we go. And since this is a collar, what I'm going to do is I am going to sell Tom an option. Even though we don't really have three updates in a row, I'm gonna sell a call option so I can go get paid more than that costs. Because I just lost 640 on insurance. I don't want to do that again. So I'm gonna go and sell a March call. And it has to be above where we bought our stock. So we bought our stock at 83.58, Tom. So we have to sell a strike price above there. If I sell the 85, you'll notice that we're not getting paid any money. We're not getting. We're not getting our 85 cents. You guys follow me so far. That means I have to go farther out. So let's go to April. So April, if I sell the 85, I actually at least I'm getting a net credit of a dollar. Let's call it a dollar 26. So let's do that. We're gonna do a covered call sale. Alice says, jeremy, I don't understand why you would sell a call. Let's. Let's talk about it in more depth. I'll write it out. Selling this call is going to bring in $1.20. $1, actually 20, 27 cents. This call will pay for my insurance. Also, if Costco closes above 85 in April, I will sell my shares at 85. Locking in again. Got it. One second. I'm trying to move this over here. I would sell three contracts. Alan says, and you can only do that because you own shares of Costco. Not technically, no. You can do this on an option trade to Alan. But we're only. We're doing this with shares right now. Not to get too complicated, but, yeah, you can do the strategy with. With options. So I'm gonna pause here for just a moment, see if there's any other questions about this. We're doing good. We're learning here. We're. We're just chipping away at this because again, this is back trading. This is what I do when I'm back trading is. I'm just trying to analyze, like, where would I do this? Why would I do this? I'm getting into my puts, Tom, because we're retesting a really, really strong support. So I'm buying insurance, right? We can see a little bit of a potential flag pattern here. I'm selling calls to pay for my insurance. Eddie says, I think this goes to my question. Should I try one way of trading? I notice the guys and girls in RLT all pick, but they feel best at not sure this is the one for me. Sorry, Eddie. If I was in front of you, I'd answer and understand your question a little bit more. If you can help me, give me a little bit more insight on your question. Maybe type it out a little bit longer. We have no rush, so spend a little bit longer typing that question out, and I'll be able to understand what you're asking more. Javier says, what would happen if Costco goes below 80 in March? That's a great question. So, team, let's imagine, right, because again, I'm buying the. Contract. So if I go, we're doing a 2-2-80. So this is. This is protecting us until February. February expiration, $8 strike. So if it takes us until March for this to go down. So let's again imagine that it goes like this and then drops in March. Then you're going to be losing on the trade with no insurance. Mike, we're not really going with that exact process right now. Victor says, are you going out further on the covered call to get more credit? That is correct. So we are buying a February expiration, and we were selling April. So that. That way I get a credit on the calls so that I can use those call premiums to offset the cost of the insurance. Albert says, did you buy the. Put on the initial plunge or on the retest? I bought this put on the day that we are paused on right now. So this day right here on the retest is the day that I'm buying the put and selling the call. January 23, 2012. Looks a little like a head and shoulders pattern. Looks a little bit on the rough side. So again, I'm gonna go forward a day. Let's go forward another day. Let's go forward another day. Another day. Another day. Another day. Another day. Another day. Another day. Another day. So we're going all the way until the February expiration because we're gonna learn something. We're free. This will be a free lesson. Expiration is the 17th of February. Okay, so here is the expiration of our put option. So we bought a put here. We use these calls to pay for that put or at least offset it dramatically. We sold three contracts. So let's do the exact number. 300 times 1.27 equals 381. 400 times 0.85 equals 340. Yep. So we actually did get a net credit on this trade. So we got a net credit on this trade of. I'll do the math again. 1.27 times 100 times 300. 300 times 1.27 equals 381. So this brought in $381. And this contract brought in 400 times 0.85 is 340. So our overall net credit on the option trade was $0.41, so. Or $41. So I'm just going to say, so far we've lost $600 on premium. Brian says, are we going to be able to watch this recording? Yes, my dear friend, don't you worry. Okay, so now at this stage, this option is gone. This option is evalid. It is expired worthless again. So now we've bought two put options on Costco and both have expired worthless. This is the 85 covered call that you sold. It doesn't expire until April. So if Costco is above 85 on the third Friday of April, we will sell our shares on the 20th of April. So we have right now the strategy known as a covered call. We have a short three calls and it's at 85 and the stock has to close above 85. So again, for educational purposes, we're going to press play and just see what it does come April and then we're going to talk about it. Obviously, it's moved pretty bullish, right? We're waiting. We're waiting and it's coming all the way back down and pause so at expiration, you guys are gonna like this a lot. At expiration, the Stock closes at 87.58. What happens to our 300 shares, ladies and gentlemen? Okay, we get called away, aka we sell 300 shares at 85, because 85 was the call option that we selected. Now, we bought the shares at 8358. So we're still making profit on those 300 shares. So let's do it really quick. 85 minus 8358. Okay, 85 minus 83, 58 equals a $42. $42 times 300 shares, and your profit would have been 300 times 1.42 equals $426. So this is our net profit so far. Plus, we still have 58 shares that are. That are in the cooker, right? We still got 58. They're just kind of hanging out. So I'm gonna come over here to the premium and I'm gonna change 600 minus 426. So we are only down $174 so far on our trade where we're putting, quote unquote, all of our eggs in the basket. You guys following that so far? Because that's why I'm bringing this into fruition. I want you to just to see, all we're doing is we're learning for free. And we're practicing the math of this particular strategy. Because this is without question, my favorite strategy. I will do this strategy on millions of dollars, on tens of thousands of dollars. I will put an entire account on one stock and do the strategy over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Even though we're putting in $30,000 just based on the premiums and the options we are losing, but we've only lost $174 so far. Plus, we saw these 58 shares. Okay? So that means I'm delete this line. I'm going to delete this line. We're going to come over here and we're going to mention. We'll put a box. Still got 58 shares. And so that means to me that we need to get some more shares. So we still got our 58 shares. Albert says, how did you determine the put strike price? So, Albert, that's the easiest part about the collar, my dear friend. You don't want to lose a lot of money. That's the answer. Don't lose money. So you want to buy a put option where you do not lose a lot of money on the trade. Simple as that. Nothing else to worry about. You can use support and resistance. You can use your chart, or you can just use math. Where do I not lose a lot of money on this position? So what I'm going to do for our 58 shares is I'm going to go ahead and sell those here. Matthew says, is this your option hedging masterclass? Yes, it is. Hedging with options. Legendary. All right, so we're gonna sell this at 87.58. Because I just. I just looked at the numbers. I just like the numbers. So it's exactly a four dollar profit per share. Four times 58 shares is 232 bucks. $232. My minus 174. So far, ladies and gentlemen, we have an entire actual net profit of 58 bucks. Now we are $58 net profit. Oh, big money. So now our shares are gone. This is gone. Everything is gone. And now we have no shares, we have no position on Costco, and we have $58. So now I'm gonna go and try to do the exact same thing. Let's go buy it again. At this level, Tom. I'm gonna put in $83 and 58 cents and I'm going to walk away. And we're going to see if I get filled on Costco at 8358 again with the exact same amount of shares. $30,000 divided by a 358 equals 358 shares. It's gonna be the exact same trade twice. And now we're gonna start going Canada by council. Let's just click play and see if this ends up getting filled at this support level. All right, we're filled. Buy low, sell high. We're feeling good. All right, so this is going to be fun. What I'm going to now do is I'm going to wait, I'm gonna just walk away from Costco and I'm gonna. I'm not gonna do anything. I'm not gonna analyze the candles. I'm gonna do absolutely nothing until Costco gets up to 87, which is. Or which is where it was before. And trust me, there's gonna be a reason to all this. So when Costco gets up to $88, which is a previous resistance, then and only then am I going to do something. So I'm going to wait and do absolutely nothing. I'm not going to analyze it, I'm not going to pull up the chart. I'm going to do nothing until it hits 88 so I'm a press play. Let's just wait here for just a second, see what it does. We're waiting. We're waiting. We're not doing anything. Okay, pause. So now let me walk you through something for just a moment. We originally started getting into this trade in October, right? Right now it's June. So we're coming up on a year. I bought my position in May, and now it's June. So it's an entire month. And the stock has increased in value because I bought it at a nice old resistance, new support. I bought it nice and low. I put my order entries in. This, ladies and gentlemen, right here is what's referred to as the greatest trade of all time. Because as of now, I can create this to be an unlosable trade. Type in a 2 if you want to see how I do it. All right, here it goes. So we're gonna go to June 8th of 2012. This is gonna be so fun. I love this. Oh, it's the best. June 8th of 2012. Now I'm gonna go out to July. So this is the July call option, July option chain. And I'm going to look at this and go, all right, remember, where did I buy my options? Did I buy my options lower than or higher than 85? Divide them higher or lower than 85. I bought them lower. Okay. Did I buy my options?
