So today, we're gonna have fun. We're gonna dive into one of my specialties on the wealth front and just open up all the questions that you all have for me. But before we do, I'd love to spend 15 to 30 minutes for anyone who would like to share any of their breathing experience. We got the nice, beautiful download from Stephen pouring out his heart and soul, which was kind of the point of the class or the, the experiment or the exercise, where the experience is to, and was to go pretty deep and pull back a lot and just really just to feel. So did anyone get a chance to have their cave experience? And if so, what stood out for you? Let's start with Craig Levine.
I failed.
Greg failed. Okay. All right. Hey, sometimes you fail, dude. Yeah.
First time, there was, like, a really bright moon lighting up through the window shade, and, and I use that as an excuse. And then the next time, I just couldn't get the breathing done for a long time without a lot of discomfort that I didn't like. And I, I, I could do a slower breathing. I could do it. I, I wasn't able to just do that style of breathing for such a long time, and that was my failure.
Well, how, I mean, did you, did you, were you able to breathe in a cave that was relatively dark for over an hour, have some type of experience?
Yeah, when the, when the moon went to the other side and it wasn't glaring in that bathroom light, I, I did, I did it again. And I got 30 minutes in, you know, and I had just done an hour and a half of raja that night. I think I, I think it was a little bit against my norm, and I just did meditation, and I didn't get quite as Viking. I really learned a lot from Stephen, listening to his experience, and I, I think I've done some different work to get there a different way, you know.
Like.
And I'm familiar, maybe I didn't get full on rage monster.
All right, well, that can be something you can work on this week because that's going to be a part of you that you really want to want to access, right? Because what your brain's going to do is your brain's going to come up with rules, right? Of, like, the societal rules, and then that's going to come up to a subconscious thing of, oh, I can't do this because of this. I can't do this because of this. And it's just one of those tiny little aspects of, it's okay. But again, me knowing you as much as I Know you. I know that the rage piece and like the darkness piece has always been something you've kind of shied away from a little bit. And you've always tried to stay as light and high and airy as you can, which is fine. Nothing wrong with that. But again, being able to tap in and touch it and just hold that Viking's hand can be a very useful practice.
I could probably get more rage in a run.
Yeah.
When I'm forced to breathe like that, you know, I, I think the, the day, the dark cave and the meditation is too familiar to me. I think I need a little bit more pain to get that.
That's fine. Shoot me a text. I'll create something just for you, big guy.
Yeah, I've done too many drugs in my past that get me into that state. The fake breathing to get me into that state really was a problem for me, honestly, like, sure, you know, that makes sense.
Well, you know that, that's, that's a real. It's a real. Actually is a real problem in the sense of a lot of the people that do ayahuasca, right. They try to get back there and they try to get back to the same place that ayahuasca took them. And ayahuasca is just simply a revealer of what we need to be healed. But it's not a healing agent. And it burns the bridge when you go there, when you come back. So it's very, very, very slash. Almost impossible to have the exact same journey twice. But when you do it naturally, right, through breathing, through meditation and through mental imaging and just through the exercises, it's. It's achievable. Yeah. So what's, what's crazy is Stephen was his, his journey. And again, thank you for sharing, Stephen, your journey with all of us in the sacred container of masculine. But what you were experiencing and you were creating for yourself is the same thing that I see almost naturally when I go into that, like, little corner of my black soul. And that was, that was something that actually was revealed to me one of the times I did one of my extremely high levels of dosages of plant based medicine. And again, that was, it was a gift for sure. But that was October of 2018. I got put. I got put into a six day long ketamine hole and couldn't really get out of it for a bit. And that was, that was one of those images and the visuals and those were the things that kind of kept coming up over and over and over. So when you were. You're explaining I was like, I know what this feels like.
I've been there in the 90s in a club.
I mean.
Been there.
Yeah.
You know?
Yeah.
I just did it all a long time ago and I can remember all those feelings. So I think I just maybe need to do a different style of exercise. I'm not sure if the breathing. Because it was too hesitant. Like, I was too focused on that breathing. And then I got dry mouth and like, it took away from my concentration. I think I could do it in a different style.
Sure.
There. Yeah, there's actually a really easy breathing technique that we can all do. First of all, I mean, I love hearing all everyone's adventures. It's amazing and beautiful. I'm going to remind you, get an eye mask. Get something that blocks out the light.
It.
If, when you do this exercise, it needs to be absolutely dark, you cannot have any light come in. It will screw with your circadian rhythms and you're putting your. You're being very intensive. Anything that can create a distraction, even through your eyelids, will take you out of state like, instantaneously. Second thing is. Yeah, yeah, it's just an imax. I mean, it's like, lay down.
No, it's.
I know, I listen, dudes, I'm into simplicity. It's like, I know what takes me out of state and I'm super sensitive to light, especially when sleeping. Like, when I'm out, I'm out. But, boy, that. In between stage, you need to set yourself up with systems of support.
Right.
Second thing is breathing. Breathe in through your nose, open up the throat chakra. Here's the reason why warriors are loud. Look at, you know, South Pacific Tongans, Fijians. When they're doing a haka, you know, warriors yell and scream. You've never heard a Roman go charge. They're like, they are so. And part of this is. Is for masculine. We have been quelled to shallow our voices, to not emote, to not breathe, to not extend, to not radiate, to not. So when you breathe, literally, you want to hear it. It'll create reverberations. I did this for an hour and 40 minutes. And what comes to you is different every freaking time. You'll get to a point where literally your breath is.
Ah.
You can feel it. You'll feel your fingers tingle, you'll feel your toes, your balls will jiggle. You will be like. It is like. It's amazing because all of you is engaged. You're hyper oxygenating.
Your.
Your nitric oxide levels are going through the freaking roof. Which, by the way is what gives you a hard on and also helps you sleep better at night.
There it is. That's what we want. Gentlemen, if there's anything we want out of this. Come on.
It's asleep.
Yeah.
And I share this with you for a simple reason. I quelled my voice for a long freaking time. And the first couple times I did this exercise, I can tell you, it opened me up like there's a. Like my brother Jeremy was saying, there is a dark side to Chuck Hogan. Not a lot of people get to see it. My son's probably seen it once or twice in his life. And I share this with you. Not because I'm, like, going, oh, I'm a badass. No, because I know who I am at my core. Yet when you start to dismantle or you start to negate that side of you. So let's make a commitment to all of ourselves right now. No more excuses. No more excuses.
Yeah.
Oh, no. I don't want to go to that place.
You.
You need to go to that place, because everything you need is on the other side of what you're not being right now.
Sorry.
There he is. That's the dark side. There he is.
And I'm sharing this with you because it's very simple. We get to hold each other to a deeper standard. This is why the world is where it is today. Because men aren't standing for one another. They're placating, they're giving up. They're lowering their standards and going, it's okay. You can be a little boy. Mommy will take care of you. Mommy's not coming. You're a damn king. Step up into it.
That's right.
It's a prince.
That's right. Amen.
But none of us here is going to change your diaper. We will hold you. We will hug you. We will share intention, heart, integrity, principles, standards, strategies. But I can't lift the weight for you. Neither can Jeremy. You've got to lift the weight.
Amen. Which is. Which is amen. Right. Like all the gentlemen. That's what it is. Right? Let's go. Yeah. So I. I 100 agree in the sense. What I mean by that is like, you're gonna want this. You're gonna want this. I know it's going to be hard. I know it's not going to be easy. But what good thing in life is what amazing thing in life was super easy and super simple? I. I am kind of upset with myself. I didn't even think about the eye mask, so I tied A shirt around me. Could have got an eye mask. Craig. I didn't even think about it. I just tied a shirt around my head. Oh, man.
You know, there's people, Jeremy, that actually. They sleep. In fact, Dave Asprey, a buddy of ours, he actually sleeps with duct tape over his mouth.
Yeah, I. I haven't done that yet, but I want to try that. I do like the mouth tape. I thought about that. Yeah.
It increased nitric oxide levels, and it has been shown that you have a much deeper REM sleep. I have allergies, so I'm, like, going, I could asphyxiate in the middle of the night if I have to breathe just through my nose. Yeah. And I'm seeing some head mount. I go, dude, it's.
It's allergy season.
I'm like the poster child for Zyrtec right now. And so. But I'm just sharing this with you because there's all these different techniques, and we've had this discussion in this group, and I love this. How many of you have been looking to find something better? Or are you looking for something different? Yeah, different. Look, embrace different. Better is not better. Better means you're comparing against where you're at right now. And none of you here is broken. I don't know of one damn man in this group that I go, oh, we need to fix you.
Yeah.
This is about enhancing your life. So let's look for different approaches that give us different experiences.
I spoke to Connor. I will use that block. And then. And then we put a new system in place on Monday, Tuesday.
Have a different conversation. Oh, sorry. You talking to us? You're talking to one of your business people. I couldn't tell.
Someone else.
Might be. Yeah, it's all good.
He's multitasking, so.
Yeah, I agree, Chuck. Yeah, it.
It's. Again, Jeremy, to your point, it just becomes so imperative that we. The standards that we set, and if we let ourselves off the hook, then how can we ask anyone else to step. I can't ask my son to step up if I'm not being my best. I can ask, but it's going to be incongruent.
Yeah. Yeah, for sure.
And so I'm not saying that's out of hubris or pride, y'.
All.
I'm saying because I've failed so many times in my life, I can't even begin to tell you I've got a couple years on many of you in this group. And what I can say is, the only regrets I have is the stuff that I Didn't engage in.
Yeah, that's it. That's. That's the big one, fellas. Again, if you want something crazy, crazy different out of your life, just do something crazy and crazy, right? If you're like, I want. I want a million dollars, like, what do you. What are you actually willing to do? Like, I'll do. I'll do anything shy of, you know, breaking my morals. Like. Like what? Whatever. And you don't. Your. Your mind might not think that you're going to get any type of results or benefit from it because you might not be able to tangibly see it at that exact second. But it builds, right? Zach talked about habit stacking. With Zach, we did this exercise, me and him, for five hours, me and him, and we did it. This is. This is. Well, it wasn't fully dark, but, you know, we had our eyes closed, but we did it in the random woods of Brownsville, Illinois, and we went out shirtless, shoeless, walked out into the woods, laid on the ground, and just did this type of breathing and yelling and screaming for, like, four hours. So talk about, like, getting close to a guy, you know, like, his head, my head, were connected. Like, we were like, head to head, laying down on the grass in the middle of a nowhere. I was like, this is weird, but.
But.
But.
Right. A friendship with Zach is. And. And his guidance and mentorship as his has done so much for me, so much for my business, and so much for. I mean, just for social media guys. Just for just social media. Like, he taught me how to explode, you know, like those most random. Like, I didn't think that'd be part of it. I helped him with his business and investment, and he helped me get thousands of followers on social media. I mean, I mean, just like, if you're talking about, like, just basic random gift. Right? Like, that's. Anyway, so fascinating stuff.
That's alignment, brother. That's alignment.
That's.
But you don't know what you don't know.
Yep.
So you're willing to embrace different.
Yep.
Because what did you all just hear Jeremy say? Did he know this stuff before Zach? Parts of it, pieces, but not all of it. That's the same with each and every one of us. Why am I here? Because I'm learning from you all. With every engagement that we have, every conversation, I want to thank you all that have reached out and where we've had some conversations together. I love you guys, man. I mean, it really, it is so cool to connect with you all. What an amazing group of men. What an amazing group, brother. Thank you, Jeremy, for having me here, man.
Likewise. Likewise, man. Thanks for being here. So does anyone have anything else to share or anything else? Darren, you probably did it. You're doing all of your inversions. So Darren does everything perfectly.
Not quite everything, Jeremy. I. Yeah, I failed on the cave breathing and what have you.
Yeah, I need to redo it, work on getting into that state.
So.
Yeah, that's okay.
The mask is good idea.
Yeah, the mask is a great idea. I didn't even think about it. Stephen with his hand up. What you got for us, big dude? Is that a red seat belt? Dude, you're so rich. I've never had it. I've never had a reason.
That's. This is how I know I've made it.
That's right, baby. That's right.
So I. I will say when I started, I was kind of, you know, I was. I was looking for a psychedelic experience because we've been talking about plant medicine and I haven't done it yet. And so I just kind of. I was waiting for the cape to find me, for the hallucinations to find me. So obviously I have no idea how long it's going for. It felt like maybe 15 minutes of breathing and going. All right. I'm kind of. I'm feeling the sensation in my hands. I'm kind of seeing the colors in my eyes, like very faintly. And then I decided it took a lot of intention and like I told you guys in my recording, but I decided I came here to find a cave. So let's go looking for a cave. And I went. And then I. Then I start to visualize with intention.
So.
So it takes a little. It's okay to have some intention and some presence there. It eventually led me to just flight of thoughts for like an hour.
Yeah. Yep. Well, dude, you got there, baby. You got there, big guy. You got to some amazing places. And that's. Again, that's what's cool.
I'm still on fire.
Yeah. Love that I can share something. Yes, sir.
That's the longest beard I ever had.
Yeah. Keep it going, baby.
I was thinking. That's nice. Nice work.
Yeah, I can grow some. Some plants on my chest there too. And I reached out to almost everyone. I'm missing Quan Paul, I think. Darren, I'm so blessed to have a friend from Australia now. Awesome. Can't wait to see you.
Dude, isn't there?
Yeah, Chuck you. And I chopped it up cold. I will hit. I will hit you up like we discussed. And then, you know, just. And I have not done the exercise. I will do it today because I was running the whole week and just to share a quick. I think I lost already £15.
Did you?
I did 15 miles on the bike with a big group with my city bikes team. I was leading the whole, the whole thing. We did an average of 20 miles per hour.
Good for you, big dude. 20 miles is no joke.
50 miles in the back of the pack.
No, I was leading.
You're always the leader. I love you guys.
Thanks.
That's an Iron man pace, baby.
Yep.
Yeah. Awesome. Awesome. I love it, I love it, I love it. Yeah. Well, congrats on the weight loss and yeah, Paul, perfectly understandable, man. Yeah, it's. I love the. I love the word that you chose to use there. Right? Analytical. A lot of us will go in to something like this with like an exact plan and like, okay, cool. Here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do this and I'm gonna breathe this way and then it's gonna be really dark and then I'm a trip balls and you know, and a mystical God's gonna come down and like hand me a suitcase of money. Right? Like our brain, that's what our brain does in a lot of these situations. And it's okay to be analytical with it, but I don't, I don't. I want you all to be very emotional with it and just step into a feeling of I have no clue what's going to happen. All I'm going to do is just. I'm going to go in a dark cave and breathe and try to get angry. If you just do those three things, don't worry about anything else. Fun things will happen. And your worst case scenario is you'll probably take a little bit of a nap. Right? That's your worst. You know how many meditations I've done? I mean like legit. Like I'm there, everyone's around, I'm in the middle of the room. I'm supposed to be the guy meditating and I go to sleep like 50. At least.
What it needs, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you said something which is really beautiful. And, and I'm gonna offer this to everyone as a reframe. Getting angry really means getting deep. Most people get angry when they let go. Let me explain. Your body has pent up storage and energy and issues. And when you set it free, you're going to go deep and it'll almost feel angry because man was made to hold on to things.
Oh.
Your spirit was meant to fly and this is the human condition, which we call the mortal toil. It's where you get to understand those deepest recesses of yourself, that your spirituality, that you deserve happiness. You deserve growth. Listen. You only know what that feels like because you experience pain. Life is about contrast. It's the yin and the yang. So when you're breathing deep, let it out and. Yes. Will you get cottonmouth? Yes. Cough if you need to. That's your body's way of resetting. And get lost in the breath.
Yeah, I. I want to just add something stupid, especially those guys that know me. I'm not known as a very angry person, but when I close my eyes and I think about all the times I've been angry recently, it's always that slow guy in the fast lane and the other two guys right next to him. I don't know. I mean, Alex is in South Florida. He gets me. I get so angry at these people going to. But that's about the only place I really have anger is I4.
Craig has anger. Is I4. Borrow some of what Stephen did. Right? See. See your kids getting attacked by conquesting Vikings.
You know, like, that was helpful, Stephen. Like. Like, you're. You got the gold medal on the homework for sure. Yeah, yeah.
Gold medal. Gold medal.
It was helpful to hear you share that. To MD So vulnerable and just. Just not give a. And just keep going for six minutes. I listen to every word, bro. Me, too.
Me too.
You. You brought me there. I failed, and you brought me there. You showed me what to do.
Like, thank you. Yeah. I love it. No, gentlemen, it's absolutely, absolutely a beautiful experience. And you'll get something that you may not think that you want out of it, but you're going to get it anyway. Speaking of experiences, just as a tiny reminder, we're all here. I love how participation this group is like. You guys are in and committed. Thank you for showing up and just being so awesome. It's. I love this. I really do. I love this group. September 24th through the 27th is official. I have booked it and paid for is part of your fee to be here. Gentlemen. So, anyway, just throwing that out there. The flight probably would be flying to Dallas and then get a rental car depending on if you guys can get coordinated enough. I'm sure there's a chance that a lot of you guys can fly and we can fly in the same day or time and just take a, you know, an Uber XL to the. Essentially, it's a lake house. So I'm expecting Ramey to do A lot of flips on his wakeboard, but yeah, so we're gonna be staying in a lake house. We're gonna be doing all this type of stuff together. Definitely. It's gonna be. It's gonna be a good reminder to keep you in good shape between now and September, so don't fall off the horse and, you know, drink all of July and August when. When the class is over. Because come September, just as a. You. You will be doing things with your body, and hopefully it's a far enough away that you can schedule time off from work for those of you who have a job. So. Yeah, or ask it off. Or even if you can only come for the entire time, but you have five minutes of phone calls a day. I can accept that. But do your absolute best to be off. Off of work on those days to really just be with your. Your group of men. It's gonna be an amazing, amazing, amazing time. We're gonna eat steak and blueberries and blackberries, and crawl and swim and pray and meditate, and it's gonna be the best. It'll be the best three days of your life. And then it'll. Your life will just keep getting better. So. Yeah. September 24th through the 27th, you'll fly into Dallas. Uber XL. Yeah, Kurt, I think I'll send it to you. I think it's in the group, but give me three seconds. I definitely want you to have it send to guests. Send trip details to everyone who's joined.
Just to clarify. Arrival 24th and departure 27th, right?
Affirmative. Yeah. Check in. Check in will be 4:00pm on Tuesday, the 24th. Huh? Airbnb. And then checkout's 11:00am on the 27th. Friday.
Excellent.
Send trip details. All right, Kurt, I'm texting to you right now, big guy. Does anyone else see me to text it to them or have this that wants it? Just did, brother. What's that, Chuck?
Just throw it back in the WhatsApp group again, so that way it'll be at the top of the list.
Perfect. Will do. And, Craig, what were you saying, big guy?
I go to Airbnb because I've been, like, all over it, and it's just like. It's in my trips. It's there.
Yeah. Yep, yep. So, awesome. Cool. Deal. Beautiful. So let's now dive into some money. Talk about wealth. Speaking of. Speaking of going deep and angry, I hope that a lot of you are angry with how poor you are. That's what I hope.
Yes.
You're looking at your money. You're like, Dang, I'm poor. Get a little bit angry about it and then do something about it, please. Right? It's okay. It's okay to be just angry a little bit at your finances because it has nothing to do with you. It just has to do with your choices and your priorities and writing some goals down and saying, this is what I'm going to do by the end of the year. It's achievable. We have the time, right? We have the time. I'm going to share with you really, really easy story, really simple. It's the story of creating numbers like we talked about last Saturday. Creating scale and just going, I'm going to do this and start putting action towards it. The story is come up with a number that's a little bit scary that you want to create for yourself by the end of the year. It's a little scary. And figure out a way to make it happen. I will show you one way to make it happen while we're here, which is going to be the stock market. Write this down. Here are the three ways to wealth. The fastest way to create true wealth is sales. The safest way to create true wealth is real estate. And the easiest way to create wealth is the stock market. Those are it. Those are the three. Because sales, I mean, it's like, I'll give you all an example. Did you know that you don't have to have a license to sell planes? Yeah, like, like a real estate license, right? Like a real estate license. You need a real, you know, you need a license to sell a house and whatever, and you get a commission. Did you know you can get the exact same commission, if not better, selling planes with no license? Crazy. So, Alex, you could make $300,000 selling one plane once a year. I mean, just again, thinking about these random, wild, crazy opportunities. Like it, it's there. So sales is, I mean, sell something that's a lot of money to someone who needs it and take some type of split or commission. Like, that's very, very fast. It's really, really, really, really effective. And when it comes to ease, the stock market is so easy because it's so available. I mean, it is. You can get it on your phone. We all have access to it. If you have Internet, it's 2024, right? Cole, you've never even known what dial up is. It's okay. So it's like we have the ability to just like pop in and just access the market with, with any amount of money. Because a lot of times I'm go back To a word that you use, Paul. Analytical. A lot of times we're too analytical with the markets and we don't, we don't really think and realize how easy it is. We, we over complicate the process. So, number one, this is your very first step with interacting with the stock market. Find the company that you know, that you use, that you understand, that you interact with, that you like, you think is cool. That in your core, in your being, you are very, very, very confident it will be here in 10 years. Meaning it's not going to go to zero. Because that's what the market is. The market is about knowing me, knowingness. It's about value creations, about wealth, but all those things. But it's about knowing. Like, I know this is correct and this is what I'm going to do. This is how I'm going to interact with it. So I'm gonna pick a few companies. I'm gonna show a few companies to you. For those who are here who might not have ever used what I'm about to pull up, there's this site called Trading View. I'll put it in our chat pane. Tradingview.com. i don't get paid to promote them or endorse them, but even if I did, you guys wouldn't care. TradingView.com It's a charting software that I think all of you should, all of you should use, all of you should have at your disposal. Even if it's on your phone and even if you look at it once a day, once a week, once a month, I don't really care how much you look at it. That's not really the point. The opponent is having it. Kurt, with your hand up. What's up, Legend?
I think this might actually be answering my question because my thought was in.
The.
Planning phase and strategizing things, right? Like if you had a punch card and you had 20 big investment purchases that you only can make 20 investments, you know, what would you do? How much would you put? You'd want to, you'd want to know what your strategy is. You want to be able to plan and do those types of things. And the protocols for me to be able to do so don't exist, right? Like, and so I think you're going through them right now. And so I don't want to derail you.
So all good. What do you say? Protocols? What do you mean?
Study and research. Study and research using these tools. Study and research. I don't know how to predict or presume. Like, you know, like, if you get into a quarter of like, this much, and they tell you the earning potential or they give you, like, their reports. How am I supposed to interpret that data?
Good, I'll go through that. Yes, that's. That's. That's right now. Yep, you're correct. That is right now. So tradingview.com. that's going to be your. Talk about protocols, man. Talk about tools. So I've got resources. Like, I would lie to you if I didn't say I spent three hours a day on that. Oh, now it's not three hours. Like, you know, every day at the same time. It's like 20 minutes here, 30 minutes there, 15 minutes there. I look at Trading View. All right, so let me pull up what Trading View is. This is a free service. It doesn't cost any money. You can make it cost money, but you don't have to. I mean, you can buy upgrades, you can buy little features, whatever. But let's just start with the basics. I'm gonna pull up a company that all of you, other than probably Darren, have used. Costco. Kurt, you ever shopped at Costco? Once or twice. Good. All right. Do you know. So you know what Costco is? You know how they make money? You use them, you interact with them. Cool. Now, the way I've always viewed it, and I. I want you to just. I want all of you, worst case, just copy me that. That's your worst case scenario. When it comes to, like, trading the stock market is. Think about it from. It's just numbers. It really is. If you buy a thing and that thing increases in value, and then you sell that thing, you will have more value. Like, don't. Don't make it harder than that. Don't worry about anything else. And I like what Kurt said, because Kurt, when He said the 2020 punch cards, that was actually Warren Buffett, right? Warren Buffett was like, if you only can make 20 investments in your entire life, which ones you're going to invest in? And what he means by that and what I think Warren Buffett meant by that is, have you really studied this? The thing that you're going to invest in? And are you going to pull the actual trigger? Here's what most people do. Too often they take like $20 and they put into the stock market once, and they're like, all right, cool, $20 will turn into 10,000, and then I'll retire, like, with what? You got $10,000, dude. Like, you all want your goal to be at least minimum $2 million in your. In your Retirement accounts, it's a minimum. You can have more than that. But again, if you're not there and you're not close to being there, it's okay to get a little angry and go, dang it, I need to do something. I need to do something different. Which is going to bring you back to the cave. Experience. Experience. If you haven't. If you're not there and you're not close to being there, you're not even on the track to being there. It's like, I need to do something different. Great. Well, figure out what it is and start doing it. Because again, here's what I did. And I'm not going to say that this is the only way to invest. I'm just letting you know that this is what I did. And that's because I have studied Warren Buffett so much. I would argue that he's the top five people I know the most about in life. It's probably, probably one of my arguments. Like, I've studied everything he's done, said, written. I've read every book, I've watched every article. I've watched every video. If it's on YouTube, it's Warren Buffett, I've watched it, most likely. So what I did is I found. I found one company. I studied one company. I. I watched videos about this company. I read their earnings, which we're going to talk about in just a moment. I went through everything I can about this one particular company so that I could know it to my core. And then I put as much money as I could into that one company. There's a gentleman you guys have all heard of said Mark Cuban. Mark Cuban says diversification is for people who don't like to study. Now, there's another term that you've all heard of, public markets, right? The stock market is a public market. That means that everything in the stock market is known. It's public, it's available. So we can all research it, we can all study it. And yes, it doesn't have to be this crazy, insane, genius empire of knowledge. It's like, take a bunch of money, focus it on something, let that thing grow, and then rinse and repeat. So if we're looking at Costco here, just as an example, if you had bought however much money you have, let's say you took the. The majority of the money in your life and you bought Costco at $600 in November, right? $600 in November. The majority of your money. You got $80,000 laying around, and you put it all into Costco, you're up 35% since November. That's amazing. That's a really good return. Now, you might have the question, well, then what, Newsom? Then what do I do? Sell it and either rebuy Costco at a lower price or go through the whole journey of studying for a new company again, whichever one you're more comfortable with. Because there's a book called the Intelligent Investor. I'll sum it up for you. The Intelligent Investor says, if you ever sell something, never sell unless you can buy it back for cheaper. So if you are selling Costco at 815, make sure you can rebuy it back at 800 or any price lower than 815. Right. So if you're ever going to sell something, make sure you can buy it back cheaper. Otherwise, don't sell it. That's a very interesting, like, mindset.
I thought I was selling high at 660.
Right? Costco, man. Just crushing. Yeah. Putting in some work.
But I did it. Did that very quickly, Right? It was.
Yep. Kurt says Cole's got a question. All right, Cole, hit me. Yeah, that's the quick question. So when you say, like, buy it back cheaper, does that mean, like, you sell and then you wait for it to become cheaper? In a. In a sense. Or it's like, I'm not quite getting what you're saying. No, that's exactly it. That's the mathematical answer. If you sell something at 10 and you think based on some level of evidence that you have, that you could buy back at nine later. Yeah. Two days from now, two weeks from now, two months from now. Fantastic. If you're like, man, I'm looking at these things and I don't think there's even a chance it's going to go to nine or $9.80, it's like, then don't sell it at 10.
Okay.
Okay. Yep. Yeah. Great question. Because that's what's awesome about the stock market, gentlemen. It is second grade math. So do not let it over complicate you. Do not let it scare you. What is.
What would you say when you thought you were right, that you were selling it high and you could buy it back cheaper and it just runs away, is it best to just forget about it, move on?
Yeah, exactly. When that happens. Right. When there is. And there are strategies I'm not going to go over in this class, but that you can still make money if it goes up, even if you're not in it. So it's amazing, the market, how many things you can. You can just. There's so many gifts to make money in the markets. It's incredible. But ultimately, yes, the times I have sold something, the best. The best example that's in my head right now was Panera Bread. So Panera Bread's not publicly traded at all right now. It got bought out by a private company. I was sitting in panera bread in 2010, and I was like, reading the Intelligent Investor, which you guys are welcome to read it. I mean, it's a boring book, but it's, you know, whatever. My book is a lot better. If you want to read a stock market book, it's called Master Yourself, Master the Markets. There's nine chapters in there talking about trading. Master Yourself, Master the Markets. If you haven't read it, read is. I promise it's a very, very, very well thought out, very strategic book. And I give you stock picks, like, very good stock picks. All right.
Anyway.
I was sitting in 2010, I was reading the Intelligent Investor, a pretty boring book. And he said, invest in what you know. Buy only what you know. Buy only what you interact with. Buy only what you study. Buy what you know for sure will go higher over time. And I was. I was looking around. I'm like, dang. What is a company that I like a lot that I interact with, that I understand? I was like, man, those scones over there sure do look good. So it finally hit in my brain. I was like, oh, Panera. And it was. At the time, it was ticker symbol PNRA. And I had $8,000 to my name at the time. This was it. This was 2010. This is all the money that I had. That was it. $8,000. Now 2010, I'm 20 something. Yeah, 20. 20 something. So that $8,000, Cole, came from working, having a job, putting cash. Right, William? Stacking some cash. That's it. Because how many hours there are in a week? A lot. That's the answer. There's a lot of hours in a week. And if you're under 30 and you're not spending at least 80 of those hours making money, you are a moron.
Just say that and then hang on.
Yeah, right. But I love you anyway. Still love you. But it's like you. You are so young. You have so much time and so much energy and so much talent. Like, I don't care where you work, like, anywhere. But you need to be creating income and stacking fat cash. All right, so $8,000, which is. Which is a lot of money to some people now in life. But I was 20 with $80,000. Okay. Then I bought shares of Panera with all that $8,000. Panera was at around 80. So it was actually worked out kind of perfect because all I did, Kurt, was spot 100 shares. And I stayed in that position for a year and some change. And I was doing a strategy called covered calls. The strategy has been around since 1973. It allows you to buy stock and sell a rental policy on that stock at a higher price than you bought it for. And to give you an example on Costco, since we're here, if you bought Costco at $700 right now, you would get paid from the open market to sell your stock at 8:20, when right now it's at 8:10. All right. So you would get paid money to sell your stock $10 higher than it is now by doing a strategy called the covered call, which all you have to do is you have to sell a call option against the shares that you own. I'll send you some details on this after class is over. Post some videos in the chat pane. So what you ultimately want to do is you need to find a way to invest a hundred shares of a company that you know, like, use and understands, interacts with every day. And then start practicing covered call sales. Because if you do a covered call sale, you will always sell it higher than it currently is. And once you sell it, sell the stock higher than it's currently trading for. And you get paid to do that, you make your money, you get liquid, and you can go do it again. One of my number one values in life is liquidity. It's a very, very good value to have as men, right? When you are liquid, as a man, you will feel more powerful, you will feel more convicted, you will feel more confident. You have so much more life force because liquidity is a great, great way to be in. Liquidity means just having a bunch of cash. Cash is.
It can't be understated enough.
It cannot be understated, gentlemen. I promise you, I work with multi millionaires every single day that have no money. They have tons of businesses and assets and they have things, but they have no cash. They have no liquidity. They're broke AF my dude. And they call.
They can't afford Divine Kings. They're in a. They're an expensive car, expensive houses you buy to Divine Kings. They don't have the cash. It's unbelievable.
That's correct. So stack cash. That's what, that's what liquidity is. It is, it is a security, right? Liquidity is good. And that's what I love about the stock market. Now I love real estate. Don't get me wrong. I'll help you guys with real estate. I help you buy real estate. You can always ask me a question about real estate. I love real estate, but real estate's not liquid in the stock market. If Chuck Hogan wanted to sell $40 million worth of this Costco on Monday morning or Tuesday morning, it would take him eight seconds. That's liquidity. Okay, so the Panera story bought it at 80. I was selling covered calls at 100. And eventually I sell to cover calls at 120. And eventually I sold some covered calls 150 because I never got called away. And then Panera got bought out by a private company for $350 a share when I had $150 covered call, which means I miss out on $200 of upside. But as sucky as that is and as fun as that is to remember, I still doubled my money. I turned 8,000, 16,000 because I bought it at 80 and sold it at 150. Wasn't quite doubling, but it was pretty close. So it was really, really cool. So ultimately, what I want all of you to do is just study some companies. Now you might go, well, how do you study the companies? Step one, trading view. Step two, analyze these three main time frames. When I say analyze, I mean pull them up and look at them with your eyes. Since all of you are. Since all of you have eyes, right? Look at it. Daily chart. Weekly chart. Monthly chart. Daily. Weekly. Monthly. Those are the three main time frames to study. Craig, how much does it cost to go from the daily chart to the weekly chart? A minute.
Minute piece of a second. It's like that.
Okay.
Dollar cost.
No, active dollar cost. That's right. So look at that. Just went from the daily chart to the weekly chart. Didn't cost me anything. And if I go to the monthly chart, still doesn't cost me anything. Okay, so those three time frames are very valuable, very important. Daily chart. We could try monthly chart. Why? Because you want to make sure that it's going up. You do not want to buy things that are going down, hoping they go higher. That's stupid.
Shopify.
Yeah, well, you want to buy things that are in general, are in general, some, some level of uptrend. So I'm trying to think of an example like this talk might. Okay, here's a good example. This is this in an uptrend. No. Right. This is what I mean. Right. You you don't. You can buy. Just don't. Just don't look for things that are ski slopes. It's very natural. It's very normal for newer traders for new investors to do that. I don't know specifically why. It just feels really good. Hey, buddy. It feels really good to buy things at, like, that level of a discount, but I'm. I'm telling you, just don't. Don't do that. One second. Gentlemen, good morning. My son. Hello.
Hello.
Hello. Doing great. Doing great. Let me get my. My computer charger really quick. Gentlemen, good morning, baby girl. Hello. Oh, you're eating cheese. I love cheese. I love cheese.
You got a little California swagger, bro. Look at you. You got a little extra sweat.
Yeah. Thanks, dude.
Yeah. I mean, maybe it's just you're with the family, I think, you know, but it's a nice, bright house, bro. I love it.
Oh, it's all. It's all white. Yeah, it's, like, beachy and vibey.
It's cool.
Thanks, man. All right, so you want to make sure a stock is going up. That's when you want to buy it. You want to make sure that you're buying something that's in an uptrend. It's just easier. Cole says, does it have to be in an uptrend for all three time frames to make it be a good buy? At least. At least the monthly chart, preferably the weekly chart. Daily chart. No, daily chart can definitely be in a little bit of a downswing. So you mentioned earlier, someone mentioned Shopify. This is what Shopify looks like. So it is in an uptrend on a monthly chart. It did have a nice pullback, which, again, I mean, you're talking about that pull. Like that was. That's big, right? 80%, which is kind of large. And then what do people do when something's 80% off on a good company? They bought it. And that right there, I mean, that was a 225% growth. Okay, gentlemen, 225%. Like, that's a. That's a lot, I think. I think so. Again, imagine. And imagine. Imagine, like, as you're looking at this, you're analyzing this. You were buying a bunch of Shopify, and then it doubled in value. Like, that's good for your. Your money, right? And then. So right now, again, this is the current chart of Shopify. Like, right now, we're down. So I think that this is a good buying opportunity. Kurt says, when do you choose to sell? Great question. When you have enough money to buy Something that you want, That's when I'd sell. So if I say, hey, here's a house, I want to buy this house or a house, it's around this dollar figure, and I need $80,000 down payment. I will buy that stock with my money until that stock is worth $8,000. And then when I sell it, I'll sell it and I'll take that money. I'll go buy the house. That is the best answer and the easiest answer of trading that I can ever give anyone. Like, don't over complicate it. Just find things that you need to buy. And then when you make enough money with the stock because it's so easy, then buy it. When I say it's easy, I know that's going against everything that you've ever been told. But it. But it is. It's. It's. I don't. I don't get why it's hard. Like, if something like, here's the. This is. The NASDAQ ETF was like, buy it. You know, look at this beautiful little trend right here. It's just this nice, gorgeous out. Like, if you're betting on this, you're betting on America. Like, America's not going to go to zero. Google, every single one of us uses Google. Look at this chart on Google. It's amazing. Derek says, how do you handle it for taxes? Don't worry about taxes yet, buddy. Just go make some money. Please don't stress about the taxes. Go make the money, and the taxes will work themselves out later. The IRS is just a big boogeyman that makes everyone scared of them.
I can't sell my Tesla. I don't want to pay taxes. Don't let that be a thing.
Don't. Derek, call me when you have $100,000 tax bill, okay? And we'll work through some. We'll work through what you can do with it. Yeah, don't worry about the taxes. Just go make some money. So for me, what I've always done is I will study a company. I will. I will focus a lot of my time, energy and effort on that company. What I'm about to do now is I'm about to show you. Kurt, you're going to love this. A really, really nice resource that Trading View offers. And when you're talking about, how do I interpret the data? I'll walk you through in just a moment. Alex says, should we buy the companies that are best performing the Spy and the Q's as well, or just focus on the whole ETF up To you, buddy, I mean the ETF is the, the easy route, right? That's like the, I talk about this in Class 1 on Saturday. Like this is your worst case. You just buy the etf, Right? When you buy the etf, you're buying literally the combination, the average of America. Like this is what you're, when you're buying the cues. You're buying the largest tech stocks in the world blended together and average together. So this is going to, this is going to pick the stocks for you, right? And it's not going to go up as much, right? Since 2016, this is up 328%. So I think it's better than zero. But this is going to go up, this is going to go down over time. Yes, it's going to have fluctuations, but if you can buy this monthly again, you don't have to worry about this going to zero. If this goes to zero, The zombies that Steven saw killing us all, that's, that's gonna be a real thing, right? If this goes to zero, it's gonna be a. Zombies are coming. So again, the very first thing you're going to look at, the first thing you're going to study is its trends. You're going to want to study its trend. You're going to see where it's at, how it's been moving, right? Put it up on big time frames and just really notice. What is it, what is it doing? Number two, we are allowed to study how much company, how much the company makes. You can study how much the company makes, each one of us. It's free and available. So I'm going to choose a company that I know is going to go higher over time called Coinbase. Coinbase is the company that allows access for anyone in the United States to buy cryptocurrency. So if you guys have ever heard of bitcoin, that's what people buy Bitcoin through is Coinbase. And so Coinbase makes its money when you buy or sell. Anytime you buy or anytime you sell, they have, they have commissions. And so that's how they're making their, that's how they make the majority of their money, right? People buying and selling. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go to the daily chart really quick. And the reason I'm showing the daily chart is because in Trading View again, there's a gift that Trading View gives you, which is these little, these little buttons down here, Chuck, these little E's right here. So these little E's, would anyone like to guess what they stand for. Earnings. Earnings, Yep. Kurt, what is earnings? What does that mean?
Isn't that when they do their earning reports, when they say this is how much we expect to make over the next period of time? Something like that.
Correct. Yeah, that's exactly it. Yep, that is exactly it, my dude. So earnings literally means that. How much did the company earn? Do companies need to make revenue and cash flow to stay in business, Kurt?
Is it how much they did make and they reported or is it how much that they anticipate they are going to make or both?
Yeah, they, they generally, oftentimes a lot of times they'll do both. Yeah, they have to buy, they have to release, they have to release by law how much money they made. And the, the, the, the, the most common. And each company can do it differently, Kurt. The most common thing that they have to release is revenue. Everything else from there is kind of like depending on the company. So, Kurt, you know a lot about business. You're a great business owner. Can a company have revenue but no profit?
Yeah.
Okay, so companies don't have to be profitable to still have revenue.
Correct? Yeah. Because, I mean, you're.
Yeah.
How would a company grow with no profit?
You'd have to get outside investing. You'd have to have someone to believe in you, I guess, to pay you to try to make it work. And hopefully you can, you know, but it's in the long term.
It's not going to work well in the long term. Like over 20 years, like at some point you got to have profit. Yes, but what if you just keep increasing revenue?
How much does it take to make your dollar? I guess.
Right?
That's money. Like if it takes A$10 to make a dollar, then I don't. Doesn't matter how many dollars you make. If it always makes. If it always takes A$10 to make.
It.
At some point it does, but for quite a while. So Amazon, like, the reason a lot of people didn't invest in Amazon was because Amazon wasn't profitable until 2013. Just to give you an idea, when I say profitable again, on their books, like their, their accounting, they weren't showing profits but profits. Gentlemen, I want you all to know this is very important. Profits is what the owners generally take for themselves. Like that's like pure leftover. I don't know what the to do with all this money. That's profits. Like what do I do with all this money? Revenue is just. How much money do we. Do we bring in? And you can fuel a very Very big beast with a lot of increasing revenue, AKA America. America has zero profits, we have a lot of revenue. No, I'm not going to get into the whole debt stuff in America right now. But what I will say is as an, as an individual, right as, as a person, right. If you have a bunch of revenue and same thing with the business, you have a bunch of revenue you can grow. So when you're looking at earnings, earnings they're always like each company is going to have a different structure for how they release information. But again this is very valuable info gentlemen, so make sure you're listening. When a company releases earnings, they'll tell you all kinds of things and you can go read a report. So let me, let me all go show you really quick what it looks like because it doesn't take an absolute I, I, my IQ is 104. Okay, just so we're all clear, like I've tested it numerous times, it's barely over a hundred. I'm not book smart. You don't have to be book smart to be really good in the markets. In fact, the smarter you are in book smarts, probably the worst you'll perform because you're going to be over analytical, right? Isaac Newton lost all of his wealth in the stock market. That was the, in the Dutch trading markets. Anyway, I'm going on a tangent. Click on the letter E is literally all you have to do just to click on this little button right there with your mouse and you'll see some information. So if I click on this one back in November, I will look at earnings and revenue. So where it says earnings right here, these numbers, these stands for this, it stands for something called EPS earnings per share. So for every share that's out there, for every share that's in the market, the company needs to make some type of money, right? AKA revenue. They need to earn something. A lot of people think this is profits, but this is not profits, this is earnings.
Right.
How much money did you earn now Coinbase, on this particular quarter? A quarter of a year is how long? Three months. Alex says my training doesn't have the showing. Is that a setting I need to activate? It should. So if it doesn't, I'll show you how to do it. Alex. Right click on the chart, go into settings, go into events, and right here where it says dividends, splits and earnings, just make sure earnings is turned on, I guess. Yep, great question buddy. So if you click on it and I'm just going to read some numbers in English, right, so you have estimated and reported. So they estimated that they were going to the negative number that they were going to lose 54 cents a share. Yens, how much did they actually report on this? Earnings.
Minus a cent.
Exactly.
So they thought they were going to lose 50 cents a share and they only lost a penny a share. Do you think that's good or bad?
I mean, that's good. Yeah, that's a 53. 53 cents less.
Yeah, exactly. Precisely. So they thought they were going to lose, or everyone was expecting to lose some money and they did lose money, just not as much as people thought. Now that's why it says surprise.
It says surprise, huh?
Exactly. A big surprise. So then their revenue. Kurt, now this is. Guys, again, this is free to remind everybody. The estimate that they thought they were going to make was 650 and they made 674 million. So they did a surprise prize of 23 million or three and a half percent more than they thought they were going to do. So they, they beat earnings. They beat earnings per share. And they beat their, their estimated revenue. In three months, this company did 650 million. That's how long a quarter is. Gentlemen. Is that a lot or a little bit? Cole? 650 million in three months.
A lot of money.
Yeah, exactly. That's a lot of money. Yeah, that's a lot. That's not even a Tony Robbins exercise. I was like, nah dog, that's just a lot of money. Okay now Kurt, what do we have to do to see the next earnings that came after that? Exactly. Click on the next one. Okay, so if I click on this one, I want someone to read this for me. Paul, I want you to read this earnings report for me. The one that we have here in front of us. Tell me what this means. Just, just read it. Well, it looks like. Well, you simplified it for me. I wouldn't have known what it meant without you simplifying it for me. But reported, I guess reported is what they were hoping to make and estimated is what they did make. Other way around. Other way around. Yeah. So let's use the word right? Like estimate. Estimate is like, I guess, like we might make this much maybe. And the report is like this is what we actually did.
I think Paul's standardized number. Again.
I don't even know what that one means. Kurt. No clue. Don't even look at it. Didn't even notice it was there until you mentioned it. Guys, I got knocked out. Yep. I think you're back. Yeah, my Internet's bad, so yeah, estimated. That's what they thought they were going to make and reported what they actually made. So you guys can all see that they estimate that they're going to make 2 cents a share. And how much do they end up making here, William? So in this. In this earnings, how much do they. How much do they actually report? All right, well, I guess. I guess maybe it might be my Internet. Maybe it's my Internet. It might be. I changed rooms. So this particular company, right at the moment, they estimated that they're going to make 2 cents a share, and they actually reported a dollar for a share. So huge beat across the board, right? Look at this percentage beat. I mean, again, imagine. Imagine you and your family do that, right? You and your family, you guys estimate that you're only going to make whatever $2,000 in a quarter, which is three months, and you end up making 4,000% more than you thought you were going to make. Is that good or is that bad, Cole? Yeah, it's probably pretty good, right? It's not. It's not awful. So that's pretty much what happens. Yeah, exactly. That's what happens here, is they. They end up, wow, like, we do 4, 000 better than we thought we're going to do. So, Kurt, hit me with a random guess. Random guess, Kurt, If a company does 4,000% better than they think they're going to do in a quarter better, is the stock going to go up or go down?
Yeah.
You sure?
If it does better, people are gonna want to.
Yeah.
Jump on it. Yeah, it's gonna get.
When all. It does better. Does a lot better. Like, a lot better. 4,000%. I mean, that is crushing it. So. And what. And did. Did Coinbase go up after that earnings release? And the answer is yes, Right? We. We can actually see it. So, right, here's earnings, here's the. And then there's the. There's the move after. Right? Like, we can see that. We can visually see that. So if you bought it on earnings and you, you. If. And you. You sold it a month later, you made 55% return on your investment. Gentlemen. Now, again, if you're like, well, how would I know when to sell? I. I hope if you make a 55% return, right, you should be making something. You probably should make something enough to buy something that you need. Okay, so really, really good. Now, how do we access the new earnings? This right here. Okay, so now they estimated that they're going to make a $15, and they actually reported $4.40 a share. Crushed it again. And then look at they estimated that they're gonna make 1.3 billion. They made 1.6 billion. Crush it again. Now, this is the part that you're probably not going to hear from a lot of other places, but I'll go ahead and tell you. The book is called Think and Grow Rich. What you now want to do is you want to ask yourself, what do they do here compared to what do they do here? So, Kurt, break it down for me. What did they do in the first earnings relative to this earnings right here that we're looking at.
To go back to the number of November, but oh, my gosh, just significantly.
Better sign, he says the word significantly, significantly better, he says. So tell me what that means. How do you know that? How can you see that?
Well, there's a negative number and now there's a higher positive number.
Yeah. Is it really that easy?
It really is.
It really is.
But there's so many there. But there's a. There's a lot of dials, right? Like, I think it's easy, but there's like tons of dials and tons of things that I don't know. So it's nice to be walked through this very.
Yeah, totally. And I'm gonna keep doing this with you guys. Don't worry. Like, this is not the only time. Ultimately, I want you all to understand, like, this is the game of money. Like, it is to. To some level, easy. Because if I'm looking at a company and I go for the last three earnings, they have literally doubled their company. They have doubled revenue in six months. Chuck, can you imagine doubling YBL's revenue in six months? Right, Kurt? Your company doubling in six months. Revenue. Doubling revenue in six months. That's crazy. And this is being done on hundreds of millions and billions of dollars. So, gentlemen, type in the chat pane. Is this particular stock going to go higher or lower in the next two, three years? Go ahead and type it in. I'll let you all know if you're right or wrong. Okay, perfect. You're all saying higher. That is correct. That is correct. Now, how could you then do some more research on it? Well, you'll notice there's two other things that you could do if you want. You can click that button for free and read through some more financials. Even if you have no idea what some of this stuff means. I bet you all know what a company. The company that you could go find out, that company is called Google. Right? You could go into Google and Google any of these phrases or terms. If you don't Know what they mean? Like market capitalization? I, I have no idea what that means. What does that mean? You go Google it. Market capitalization means the size of the company. Take the price of the stock, multiply the price of the stock times how many shares they have outstanding, you're going to get the market capitalization. This is how big the company is. Coinbase is worth $58 billion.
Now.
Check out how many employees do they have? They only have 3,000. That doesn't seem like that much to me. Seems pretty small. I can look at debt. How much debt do they have? You guys know what debt is, right? How much cash and cash equivalents do they have? So do they have more cash than debt? Is that a good thing? You guys see this now? Again, can, can we click on any of these and just read through their stuff? Is it all free? The answer is yes. Can I click on revenue? Because I. That's really the only thing I understand. And scroll down here and just look at different revenue formulations, right, that they have. 2019-2020-2021-2022, 2023. Right. I can look through some of their, their different parts of revenue. I can go to earnings, I can click on their earnings. Look at this, look at all this free information. I can actually see a screenshot whether. What are their earnings doing? And notice bad earnings. Bad earnings. Better, better. Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing. And you can see right here, they already estimating their earnings per share. You guys able to see all this? Pretty amazing, right? Pretty incredible. So this is another level that's free that we can all use. And if you don't want quarterly, but you prefer annual, you can click on this little button right here, annual. And it tells you, right, the numbers and it tells you all that stuff and it kind of like breaks it down for you. So as we can just kind of see some things, we can kind of like study it, analyze it for a second again from an annual perspective. And then if you want to exit out, you can click exit. But from here you can go to YouTube and you can type in Coinbase CEO Coin. What is the vision of Coinbase? How does Coin v Coinbase plan on growing? What is Coinbase's outlook on the future? How is Coinbase growing? Can you type that into Google? Yes or yes? Will you get videos? Yes or yes? Can you watch those videos? And if you watch four or five hours worth of those videos, are you going to get more information than 85% of people on earth that will ever take the time to watch? Probably. And then at Some point, gentlemen, you have to make that determination on are you going to buy that particular position or not? That's up to you. But like you said, Paul, that is really cool. Right? It's really cool to be able just to see the numbers and spend a little bit of time with it and kind of understand what. What it is that they do. Let me show you a company that Edwin knows all about. Edwin, you excited about this? Check this out, dude. Edwin is a pro at this company, Waste Management. So daily chart, they're kind of going up. Weekly chart, they're going up. Monthly chart, they're going up. Does Edwin know? Edwin, do you know, use. Understand how Waste Management makes their money? You're very familiar with this company. So Edwin could be picking up some shares of Waste Management. And then he could also go and analyze their earnings and pretty quickly. Right? Okay. They made $5 billion there. $5 billion there. $5,000,000,000 there. $5 billion there. This tells me this is just steady Eddie. Last four quarters, they made $5 billion. Exactly. And they pay a dividend. Wow. I want someone who's brave enough. Type in a 1 if you don't know what a dividend is. Was brave enough to type it in. Type in a one if you don't. All right, we got a one. Beautiful. Thank you for being brave. Gentlemen, I don't know if you're gonna like this answer, but I'm about to tell you. Dividend is free money. This, Kurt, is profit. When a company makes so much money that they don't know what to do with it, they give it back to their shareholders. That's literally what a dividend is. Literally. So if I click on Waste Management, I click on this little D. They paid a 70 cent dividend per share that quarter. So if you had a thousand shares of Waste Management, how much money did you receive that quarter in profit sharing? You know, a thousand shares, how much did you get that quarter? 700 bucks. What about this dividend? Also $0.70. Also you got $0.75. And this was going to be $0.75. So you got in a year's worth of time, you had 700, 750. And then you're going to get 750. So on a thousand shares of Waste Management, which right now, that in that investment is worth $208,000. If you had a thousand shares on a $208,000 investment, right? You guys follow me. That's how much it's currently trading at. You would receive 700 plus 700 plus 750 plus 750 equals $2,900 worth of free money, aka dividends, aka profit sharing. Which is. Which is right about what? How many percent? That's right at 1%. Okay. Right at about 1%. Not bad. But what do you also get? You're also getting the appreciation of the stock. Because what a lot of people forget is that if you buy a thousand shares, right? A thousand shares in October was 154,000. So you took a thousand shares of investment from waste management, took it from 154,000 to 208,000, and you're still getting that 1%. Now, Kurt, could you take this $2900 and buy more shares with it? Yes or yes. And if you buy more shares without money, do you get paid dividends on those more shares? Yes or yes. So that's something that's called dripping or dividend reinvesting. So there's two terms for DRIP stands for dividend RE investment program or just reinvesting the dividends.
Right.
It can be either. Both terms are synonymous. But that requires you buying a company that has profit. So much profit they don't know what to do is. So they just give their money back to other people. Curtis, I'm stuck on something. If it's up too much, is it worth it if I buy it at a higher price? What if it goes down lower? How do you make that guess that's going to come down a little bit Occurred to like slightly your a little bit of your time horizon, right. And like how you plan on buying it because let's say you had a hundred thousand dollars. You're like, okay, I want to take a hundred thousand dollars and I want to buy. I know I want to buy Coinbase. You're like, I'm going to buy Coinbase with a hundred thousand dollars. I've studied my face off. I know I'm going to buy it. And it is here, Right? Right. With the highest price like it's been in five years. Like this is, you know, very, very high. You could ask yourself, do I want to take $100,000? About all there highest price has ever been. Probably not. So there are very easy ways to buy lower. All right, you can set up your orders ahead of time, but one of the things that I'll teach you guys as we kind of continue through class is how to use these puppies, these long term moving averages. Because this is where I like to buy my stocks. I like to buy my stocks when they're interacting with these long term moving averages. And then I like to sell them when I'm nice and profitable. I like to buy them again when they're at the long term moving averages. And I like to sell them when I'm nice and profitable, AKA when I have enough money to buy something that I want or need. And guess what I do. I buy when they're down there at moving averages. And I will sell it when it's up nice and high at a place, you know, and then just kind of repeat that process over and over. So I pull up the. The long term moving averages. And for all of you who are wanting to use these, this is the 100200 simple moving average. Craig, how much does it cost to get these moving averages on your charting software Trading view?
That's free as well.
Also free. Another awesome free resource.
So yeah, I mean if you need help, just. Just reach out to me. I'll help you for free.
Well, here's what's cool. I. I have learned how to do this. I will just give you guys this Coinbase chart and you can take my chart and you should be able to use it. So if I click this and click copy link, I will post this in our chat pane. And you should, as soon as you get it, just be able to click on it. You should have that chart pulled up for you. Let me know if that works. You should get my exact chart with the 100 and 200 on it already.
They could see all. You mean they can copy all of your settings the way you do your candles, Everything. Just copy it?
Yep.
I don't. We got a couple analytical guys in there.
That.
That sounds too easy.
I know.
I'm seeing your. I'm seeing your. Your Tesla bull right now. Not Coinbase.
Not Coinbase.
I clicked on it and it showed up, by the way. If I can block this.
Roku.
Jeremy, I not only learned a lot from you trading, but also from Greg Levine here on the call. Right, Greg, you will be willing to help. You help me a lot already. So you're. I mean, Chuck, I don't want to omit you, but I don't know how much anyone else knows trading. But Greg helped already. Teaching a lot of people. I see him teach myself and so forth. So thanks for offering that, Greg.
That is interesting. I wonder why that is. Give me one second. Yeah, yeah. You guys see this chart, correct? I don't know why.
Because you're in California, bro. Look at that face. Nuisance this is.
Take a picture.
You don't make that face too often.
Truly baffled. Really baffled. Give me one Second, I mean, it can't be much harder than clicking something else.
You know that California Internet's wacky. Dude, the water. I think they got a news stream in there. Sorry, bad joke time. If we don't make fun of news over living in California, what else can we make fun of them for? You know?
Yeah, because, you know, I think, I think he would get. He's getting the Internet for free because he, he. The governor's name is new to him too, you know.
Yeah, let's roast them on it. That's fun.
No clue. But you know, pay.
You know, payback is a. And September is not that far away.
Did I hear Zach booked his flight for Dallas? Okay, he'll probably walk there.
Oh, Alex, look at that cutie.
This should work.
Wow.
Hi, sweetheart.
We got over the cold, didn't we?
There we go. There we go. I. I don't know why it required me to do all that, but that should work. And that should be your coinbase chart and it should be the long term moving average on it as well.
It was pretty simple. They didn't want you to actually share that chart when it left the Internet in California. They man manipulated it.
Yeah, it is. It still doesn't show the long term averages either.
So funny. Greg, you're hippie by heart, right? How can you roast California so bad?
If you guys need it, this is how you can add it to your screen. It's very easy. So click, go to indicators and just type in simple and it says moving average simple. When you click on that, click on it two times. And then when you click on it two times, it'll come up on the left hand side of your screen right here. And then you're going to Change that from 9. That's going to be the preset, obviously. Make it 100 and make the 100 blue and then make the 200 red. And once you have that, you can put it on pretty much any chart. And Kurt, that'll help you know when to buy and when to sell something a lot better because you're going to want to buy it when it's interacting with those moving entities. Averages. So on trading view, go into indicators, type in simple, moving, average, simple.
Jeremy, one thing real quick, I'm not sure if you mentioned that before, but you know, there might be some folks on the call, they don't have enough capital to trade if, if so it's good. But I'm currently trading paper trading and Charles Schwab, you know, the former Think and Swim. So if, if anybody needs help with installing that or something. I think we can do a session. Off course. Greg Levine and I can help with that if somebody's interested.
Yep, Absolutely. Yeah. If anybody has any stock questions, you can definitely ask Craig of this group. He's been in my stuff the longest, and so he knows all the things that he would need to know to make a lot of money trading. Paul says, what is paper trading? Paper trading is exactly what it sounds like. It is fake trading. So fake money that allows you to look at the market as if it was real. So you can learn how to press the buttons and all that kind of good stuff. Yep. All right, gentlemen, another fun Saturday. Hope this was slightly bigger.
Thanks so much, Jeremy.
Oh, yeah, you know it. My pleasure. We're gonna be back Monday. Monday we get into week four. We're gonna keep the grind alive. We're gonna keep the education alive.
