From day one, I knew this was my kind of woman because she's competitive. We always had great times, we had great fun. Always was learning. She taught us how to do the misa pose. But then she introduced me to her husband. And I know for me personally, my husband is a huge. I mean, he's my rock, he's my everything. And so when you have some dynamic duos and couples that work together, grow together and do things in business, it's just a whole nother level. And so I have, from just day one, loved being a part of things that they're doing this. They want to welcome you to the stage or to the. Wherever you're going to be up here. So that way people know and understand.
Christy, round of applause. Challenges.
Growing up, lack of expectations.
Oh, wow.
Lack of expectations on you or on others?
On you maybe correct what you said. Others had lack of expectations on me. The neighborhood I grew up in, the.
Neighborhood you grew up. They had a lack of expectations on him. What was the neighborhood?
East la.
East la. Yeah. Oh, here we go. Who else is from east la? Oh, good, there's only one more. I thought the whole house was going to come down the other side of Vegas. Okay, how did you navigate that? You started a family, a strong family. Oh, so the family helped you, right?
I had a. I had a lot to fall back on. There was, there was issues within the family.
But, you know, you're right, family had some challenges, but they were also their support. Right. Okay, what's one thing they gave you that helped you support? That lack of expectations on you?
A lack of empathy. Just like, you know what? Instead of feeling sorry for yourself and doing all this stuff, you know what? Life's going to be hard.
Keep going.
Stop crying. Get to work.
In other words, stop. Yeah, get over yourself. Yeah.
Stop feeling sorry for yourself.
Yeah, right. So that's helped you drive forward.
That, that helped the answer. It definitely did.
The same answer. But do we not all have challenges to overcome? Say yes. Do we not all have problems to solve? Say yes. Does it ever end?
No.
No. The better you get at solving, the better life you have. You guys agree with me? Oh, no, wait a minute. Our cameraman, look, I'm trying to do a program and the cameraman say, hey, what about me? I got some stuff I want to share. What was your biggest challenge? Oh, my gosh. And this is a good looking dude. You got shot in the face here in Vegas. Did you earn it? What fun. So my mom had to go through the crack epidemic. Wow. I was Born with crack. Crack. Alcohol in the system. Born in the 80s, got shot in the face. Okay. But I was a product of all that. So everything that came, I say my generation became, after all the death. But they told me that I would never be able to walk straight. Told me would never be able to walk straight. Shiny face. Can we get ready? Let's give him a round of applause. I'm really trying to inspire our cameraman. Is that amazing?
Yes. Yes.
That is a wow, isn't it? Yes. They say you should be kind to everybody that you meet because everybody is battling something. Shanjarian just gave us an amazing testimonial. Really quick like that. Very powerful.
Right.
We all have things to navigate. You have to realize it's not just you.
