So I want you to imagine like this old-fashioned scale here, and on one end of the scale there are rocks, and on the other end of the scale there are also rocks. Now both of those rocks are beliefs, so it is your belief system. So on the left side we have the dark stones, so those are all the negative experiences, the negative thoughts, the stuff that have happened. So maybe those messages in in school, or again, the first jobs, the family dynamics, society, whatever it is for you, it is the bad stuff. Now then, I want you to imagine on that other side, there's actually the positive experience, the times where you did follow through, the times where it all worked out. So the more weight you put on the negative side, the stronger those beliefs and your system will adapt towards believing that that is reality, that that is true. Because that is the evidence that you have that something is true, even though it is not true. It is just your experience and thinking that it is true. So what I want you to do from now on is start to collect new evidence. Because on the one hand, you need some real evidence, and it can be evidence from the past. It doesn't have to be right now. You can really just try to start to put your attention on moments where it all worked out, where you were that better version of yourself.
