Fish are low-value followers who want generic content. Whales are high-value prospects who want specifics. Tweeting "how to reach $10K/month" attracts fish. Tweeting "scaling from $10K to $30K" repels them and draws whales instead.

I believe that there's like fishes and whales when it comes to followers. Fishes are people who waste your time and are entertained by you, whereas whales are people who will respect your time and are interested in you and your offer. You tend to attract fishes when they're like broke. You tend to attract whales when your things are very niche, and you get them by posting whale bait. So for example, let's say your sweet spot is somebody making $10,000 per month. If you tweeted about how to get to $10,000 a month, that's fish bait because somebody making $10K wouldn't be interested. In that. Whereas if you tweeted how to scale from 10 to 30, then that is whale bait because it attracts the right people. So the whole thing about whale bait is fish are not interested in whale bait. They're just kind of repelled by it.
