A salesperson argues that vague maybes drain more energy than rejections. His Cash Creator framework says to push for a clear yes or move on, then close the file if a prospect won't decide after a few contacts. Chasing maybes costs more effort than finding a new buyer.

It's the maybes that kill you. It's not the girl that rejects you or the girl that says yes. It's the girl that she's kind of like keeping you under your toes and you don't really know. That's the one that drains you the energy. It's not the prospect that says, I'm not interested, thank you, that kills you. It's actually the one that's like, oh, follow up next month, maybe I'll be in a better position. Cash flow is really tight right now, but I'll let you know later. So one of the Cash Creator maxims I show people and I practice for myself is We don't do maybes. It's either a yes or a move on. It's having times where people cannot buy anything from you. I believe that if you want to have less stress in your business, you should stop the maybes. And if people don't respond after a few follow-ups, you close the file because I think those are the ones that kill you. And the energy required to chase a prospect exceeds the energy required to replace that prospect. Therefore, your energy is better placed just finding somebody who will say yes and not doing maybes.
