I Sold $4 Million Online. How To Get More Leads In 2 Steps:

David Molina sold $4 million online by flipping the funnel: stop chasing the 3% who can afford high-ticket offers and instead sell cheap front-end products to the 97%. He turned $250 workshops into $920,000 in backend upsells by unbundling offers into different combinations of promise, timeframe, format, and price.

Welcome. Today we cover how to get more leads with 2 steps. So I've got about 250,000 followers, maybe 20-something thousand people inside of my email list, and I figured out a way to get people to follow me and then turn them into leads. Now I'm going to give you the 2 steps. First one is kind of a mindset shift that will prove helpful to you. So just watching that, it's probably already going to get you in a better position because you'll have the fundamentals to work off of. And the second one is an actual tactic that you can use. So my goal is for you to have some sort of a mindset shift that would allow you to get more leads at the beginning of the video, and then by the end of the video, something you can actually apply to start getting more of them. Let us begin. So number one is let's imagine this is your audience, right? It's this square. Now, if you want to get more leads, a valid question to ask about that is, for what? Usually it's gonna be for some sort of high-ticket offer, $1K, $2K, $3K. Now it was very easy to sell these things before, like in, I don't know, like 2019, 2020, you would get leads for a couple cents, maybe a couple bucks, right? And then you get them on the phone and then you charge $5 grand for it. It was kind of a new thing. They'd be like, yeah, let's go. Because having a coach was like a kind of cool, kind of hip. Back then. Now it's, it's not so much like that anymore because the barrier to entry for the coaching industry is like the Mariana Trench. It's the lowest thing on earth. It's extremely low. So everybody's in there flooding the market, making enormous claims. And then maybe you're one of the good guys, right? Maybe you have one of those legit claims. Now the problem is they don't know you. And so you look like everybody else, right? And so it's been like harder to sell in that sense. Now, back to the question of leads for what is probably your high ticket thing. Now, the problem is for people to qualify as a good lead for that, the qualifications are a lot. They have to have the problem that you solve, the attitude, the need and timing right now, and they need to have the money. So if you see this as your entire audience, then the people who apply for all of those things, it's like this much, maybe, maybe like 3% of it. It's a very small percentage of your audience. And so there is that situation, not for everybody. So I'm like, I want to be careful saying this, but there is this situation in which you probably already sold to all or all of them have already seen the offer that you've got for them. And so that is a very discouraging thought because then it's like, well, if you already burned through all of them, what's left to do? Create more content, run ads. Like the answers to that tend to be very expensive. When you reach that point in which you've already sold to the entirety of, let's say, 3% of your audience, and you're left with the other 97% that can't buy this stuff, then people tend to default to the nuke. So the nuke are business moves that might not be wrong, but they are very expensive. So if the audience feels dead or you're not making much money, or it feels like everybody's getting more leads or making more money than you, then people tend to default to the nuke. And what they do is they start running ads and they hire a $3K a month agency, $5K a month, $10K, and they just burn money. And yeah, maybe that is the move, but it is a very expensive move. It is a very expensive thing to do first. Like maybe the solution is simpler. So that's why I'm here. So you can explore different options of what you can do to get more leads. So the people who applied to your high ticket thing, it's a very small percentage. It's only like 3% of your audience. Now here's what's interesting. For me, I created $920,000 from people who upsold from something that I sold for less than $250. So I'm gonna try to make sense of what I just said right now because it was a mumbo jumbo, but I sold something cheap for $250 or less than $250, and that created $920,000 in the backend. And that's something that is interesting about leads. Leads don't need to come through the front end all the time. Leads don't need to be cold. Good coaching businesses actually make most of the money from the back end, from the upsells, because they're easier to sell and you don't need to convince people too much. Like, you don't need big funnels, you don't need, I don't even do sales calls nowadays, right? So what can you do is if you can facilitate ways to get leads through the back end, then you would get more. The problem is you already exhausted the leads you can get from the front end. But if you talk or you think about how can I get more leads from the back end, then that opens up a lot of possibilities. And the way to get more leads from the back end is have easier front end mechanisms for people to jump in. So basically sell cheaper things or easier to sell things. For example, let's say a lot of people who may have the money to pay you Maybe they don't wanna book a call right away, 'cause, you know, they're experienced, they've been on sales calls, they've been burned, they don't wanna go through that process, right? And they know the closer is just gonna try to push this stuff on them. But maybe they're still in the market and they do wanna buy, but they'd be more open if you sold something that is like, I don't know, something cheaper, right? Let's call it like a $100 workshop, a $50 thing, some sort of an ebook, right? You'll find this often people who send like ebooks or even Amazon books or just cheap things. Most of their clients actually come through that list, not through the entire audience, but from something like really cheap. So what that does when you sell something cheaper or just an unbundled version of your product, of your main thing, is you appeal to a higher or bigger segment of your audience. That's a big deal because then these people have already spent like $1, $20, $30, $50. And what that demonstrates is intent. Like people follow you because they kind of like you, they find you interesting, but they buy from you because you have a problem, that you have a solution and they have a problem. And that's a big deal. That distinction is why 90% of my clients bought something from me cheap before they became a client. Like it's a big statistic, it's 90%. And so I don't know how to get more leads cold. Like I'm not that guy, but I'm very good at getting leads warm, meaning I'm very good at making people buy something cheap from me and then turning them into somebody who can buy that thing, okay? So let's say you sold something for cheap, you would appeal to higher segments of your audience. Now you're not only monetizing 3%, Now you're monetizing maybe like 15. And then let's say you shred that, right? And you sold something instead of, I don't know, like a big course, you sold part of a module. You would appeal to a different segment. And then you sold something else, like, I don't know, like a template, a worksheet, a swipe file. And so what you'll find is you start grabbing more parts of your audience. And so you will realize that the audience is actually much bigger than it feels. It felt dead and it felt small because you were only marketing to a very small segment that already got tired of hearing your stuff. But when you market through different segments to cheaper things, templates, swipe files, workshops, courses, like small things, what that does for you is that that finds people who may not have jumped into this straight away, but they would have jumped if they knew how good you are. That's why when you get on a sales call, it's really easy to close. The harder part is actually getting people on the call, right? Because once you get them on the call, they see how good you are. Same thing happens at scale when you start unbundling the ways you deliver to your clients here and finding ways of how can I demonstrate that through the entire thing on bigger, on a bigger arena, on more people. And that's how you really start getting more leads. Because you probably already exhausted your front end. I'm not saying you haven't, and I'm not saying that ads are the wrong move for you. What I'm saying is maybe you should explore the back end before and selling cheaper things and selling people on the back of that once they see how good you are. Because a lot of whales, a lot of people with money, buy cheap things first. A lot of people with money try before they buy, right? A lot of people with money, they go to the dealership and the car needs to feel right. A lot of people who want to buy high-ticket coaching and consulting, they probably buy a low-ticket thing before to see like, is this guy full of shit or not? And then they move on to the next thing. So maybe, maybe the key to getting more leads for you is not so much in the front end of the 3% that are willing to buy through the front end, but the other percentage that are willing to buy through the back end. And if you made it easier for them, you would probably get more leads and make more money. Okay, now step 2, how do you actually do this? What's the— like, if you buy into this, what's the move after that? Well, step 2, on me, you make them actual offers. I like this quote, I forget who said it, I only know of 2 ways to make money: bundling and unbundling. And I really like that because all models are wrong, but some models are useful. So that one's really useful. So it allows me to really like get out of my head of which offers should I make, what niche should I pick, like what's my positioning and whatnot. And just think there's only two options here, bro, either bundle or unbundle. So what does that mean tactically? Every time I make an offer, I think of, I think it's 3 or 4 things. You can tell how good I know my material, right? But I think of every time I make an offer, there's a promise, there is a timeframe of when that's going to be achieved, there is a format like, is it a, is it a call, is it a workshop, is it a program, whatever? And there is a price. Now, all we're doing is every offer you'll create falls into this category. Now, into like a combination of these, right? Now, what's interesting is that what we're doing here is we're just gonna mix different parts of it in different quantities. And that's gonna create offers that feel very different and feel like fresh. That is what a barista does, if you think about it. So a barista has only 3 components. They got like, well, they got many, but mainly they got milk, coffee, and water, right? But out of that, they can create like hundreds of different drinks. So we're doing the same thing. Instead of selling one offer and being married to one offer, what we're gonna do is we're gonna unbundle the thing you already have so you can get more leads through appealing to more people because the people you appeal to with just that combination of your current high-ticket offer, you probably already sold to them, or you probably already sold to them with that method and you need a different one so they'll see it in a different light. And it happens, right? Like if you go to a gym, some people join because they want overall health, right? That's what they do. Most of us join because we get body dysmorphia. Some people join because somebody told them they're fat, right? And some people have joined because they're like heartbroken. So like if you appeal to different segments of the audience, you're gonna be able to like get more leads because people buy for different reasons. And if you've already promoted the same component for multiple times, then you probably already exhausted that reason. I'm not gonna keep hammering on that, you already got the point. Let's get into this. So let's say you have multiple promises that you can help people achieve. And we're gonna, let's try to stick to the fitness example for now. I'm a little tight here. Look what I got. This is a side note, but like I got one of these walking pads, like for the desk. It's actually quite nice. Like I do it in the morning and it's cool because I can, you know, I get a little sweat and get a little movement. And right now it's like 10 AM. Typically I'd be like, I have the face of like, what the hell's going on, right? And you know how like Asians, like we have this thing that when we just wake up, our like our lips go like, like Kylie Jenner lips, you know, like Kim Kardashian lips. I'd be like, what's going on, right? But the cool thing about this is like it wakes me up because I'm like sweating, I'm moving, so it's nice. Back to the video. So let's say you're a fitness guy, right? And you can have multiple promises that you help people achieve. And people, like, buy your stuff for different reasons. All right. And so one of the promises could be, let's say you're gonna help them lose 10 pounds. That's typical, right? Another promise you could help them achieve, let's just, like, spitball here, it could be a six-pack. Another promise is— what else? 225 bench. This is just an example, right? Uh, okay. Now timeframe, like this is like pretty arbitrary. So I'm just going to like invent some things and I promise I'm going somewhere with this. You're going to see how just like by unbundling, we're going to come up with multiple different offers for you. So timeframe, maybe you've got something like 1 month, 1 hour, and 1 quarter. Now format, different ways you have to deliver. You have DMs, you have calls, you got courses, you got, I don't know, probably got voice notes or something, right? Like, you help your people in different formats. So let's say you've got, uh, you got a challenge, you can deliver it through that. You got some sort of an accelerator, let's call that a program. And you've got a call, right? You have some calls that you help people through. So calls. And then we're going to have different prices. So I'm just going to come up with arbitrary prices. So Let's say $10, $100, $10 grand. Now let's call it $1 grand because a lot of people are not selling $10K grand on the phone, not yet at least. Um, well, if you are, and if you're not, smash like. All right. So what can we do from here? All we did right now was we unbundled the ways we deliver to people. And we're just, we're not changing anything yet about the offer. We're just looking at it from a different light, right? So let's say what you currently sell is you sell lose 10 pounds and you sell it in a monthly package. Well, then we can make something different, right? So you can say lose 10 pounds in a monthly, in one month is an example. But instead of doing it through a regular program, we're going to do a challenge. And because it's a challenge and it's a group format, it's $100, right? Or it's $10. And just like that, you went from selling this thing of you're just selling a program, right? You went to now you're selling a challenge. Now it's fun, right? It's a different thing. It looks different. And A lot of the reasons why people buy is because of novelty. Think about Starbucks. So why do they only bring the pumpkin spice latte once a year? It's because it's special, right? And all the white girls go crazy, and that's cool. But if they had it all the time, then it wouldn't be that cool, right? Now, a different thing. Well, you know what? I bought a bunch of markers for this, so might as well use them. We're using purple now. So let's say you wanted to help people get a six-pack now, right? And then you can make it in a different duration, a quarter, and then you choose, let's say it's an accelerator, but for this one you charge $1,000. So it's like, you're gonna work with me one month to one quarter, it's an accelerated path in which you get a six-pack. Now it looks very different to fitness coaching, right? And you appeal to a different segment. Right? Maybe the challenge appeals to this segment. Maybe this one appeals to that segment. So then it's like, it's interesting, right? You're coming up with new things. And this exercise is infinitely doable. So let's say 225 bench. In 1 hour, we're going to have a call in which I'm going to give you the exact plan down to the whatever, 10 weeks in order for you to get your 225 bench, right? And I'm gonna charge you, I don't know, $500 for it, $200 for it, $100 for it. And so what you find is that once you unbundle your things in multiple components, you find things that are very appealing to different segments. And that is how you get more leads, by promoting these different things. You already exhausted the amount of leads you've got in your audience, true. But those leads are only the leads you got for that specific offer. Imagine if you promoted these other things, you'd open up a much bigger world. And so that's the shtick. That's how you get more leads. Now, how do I do it in my business, frankly? Because I'd like you to do what I do, not do what I say, right? So I'm going to show you what I actually do. Shout out to my wife. She made me this. So this right here, this is my clone. This is Cashy. Now Cashy is my AI tool. And what she does is she gives you your offer. So she'll print your offer for you and then she'll barista it for you. She'd be like, okay, these are all the 12 different things. We're going to have a 12-month calendar or a 12-week calendar. And you promote this every time. So it's kind of cool because I do it like once every quarter or something, and I have all my offer calendar lined up for me and all the offers are already written. Like if you want to do it manually, you can, but it's 2026, dude, you got to upgrade, right? So what I do is I just do it with AI because it's much faster. And I like to leave the business part of my business to AI because it's so cold and so calculated, just very objective. and I enjoy that, and I like to keep kind of the art, the subjective, the taste, the branding to myself. And so I have this like kind of nice sparring partner in Kashi that she handles all the cold things and the things that need to be done to make money, and I handle the money man. I handle the brand and making these kind of videos, and so she handles all the offers and just the cold objective things in my world. So anyway, I opened that up inside of the email list. You can see it here in likesaintcash.com. Now it's not open all the time. Sometimes it's open and closed, but the easiest way for you to know when it's open so you can get cashy is by joining, and eventually you'll get an email from me saying if it's open or not, or other formats like this in which you can get help from me. See ya.
