Use your iPhone as a reward only after finishing morning tasks. Your brain treats the delayed phone access like an immediate payoff, rewiring the habit loop so work feels pleasurable instead of like a chore.

I don't look at my phone until I'm done with the work of the day. Your brain is really bad at distinguishing stimulus, and what I mean by that is your brain, for example, can't tell the difference between a truly, truly nutritious meal and ice cream because to your brain it's the same. Like, we haven't been able to separate long-term and short-term. That could be bad, but you could also use it in your favor. This book right here, Atomic Habits by James Clear, he says a habit is made up of 4 things: it's cue, it's craving, it's the action, and then it's the reward. First, you see something and that triggers something in you, which is a giving, and then you perform the action, and then you get a reward. So what I did is I kind of tricked my brain into getting my phone as the reward. So I get everything done I need to do in the morning, and after that I check the messages, after that I log in the social media, because it's a reward. And in the end, you'll get what you want, you'll be more focused, and then you'll be in love with work because your brain associates work with getting that reward. Makes sense?
