An entrepreneur argues that picking the right market matters more than perfecting your product. Sell water to people dying of thirst in a desert and you can charge $50 to $1,000 a bottle. Market selection alone can generate 50x returns.

Let's say you're selling water, and maybe you have the best water in the world, and you could sell it to either people who are in a game who kind of want the water, or you could sell it to people who are in a desert. Now, if these people are in a desert and they're dying of thirst, do you think they have an argument or they'll argue with you if you tell them, hey, it's gonna be at a premium? You could sell the bottle for $50, for $1,000, they would still buy it because if you choose the right market, you could have an imperfect offer and still make good money. Okay, so the first thing we need to do is we figure out what is the market we want to go for, because that is the most important skill. The best skill isn't offer creation, it's market picking.
