A marketer in Guatemala cold-messaged a modeling agency offering to run their marketing in exchange for party invites and modeling work. They traded a skill for access to networks and opportunities money alone couldn't buy.
You know, I used to be a model, like, back in Guatemala. I wanted to, like, get access to the parties and whatever. I kind of wanted offline influence. So anyway, I cold DM'd them. I will market for you guys, but you guys invite me to the parties. Like, sure. So I kind of took over their marketing, helped them out with a few things, and I got invited to the parties. And that's how I became a model. I'm not a good model, clearly. It was just fun. If you have an advantage, you can trade. Like, people traded shells back then. You can trade skills today, and it can get you to rooms that maybe money can't get you to. You never know.
