A creator stopped posting constantly and using engagement tricks, instead making fewer, better posts. Engagement, leads, and sales all went up. They quit cigarettes too.
The other day I ran this experiment in which, what if I just played the game like all of my favorite people play it? So my favorite people don't share their own things, don't really have engagement groups, they don't check notifications, they just do cool things and then they share them. Now the quantity of the posts go low, but the quality goes high because everything comes from things you have done and good work takes time, right? So that's what I did. For 2 weeks I just stopped doing all the things that I used to do. And then I came back, engagement was stronger, lead flow was stronger, sales went up, brand went up, and my mental health went up. The only thing that went down was my cigarette consumption. And I'm like, okay, fuck it, we're just gonna focus on creating quality content. Fuck quantity, just quality. See where that ends up. Because people will follow you by your average work, but they will remember you for your best. And your best takes time.
