When someone gets your DM, they check your profile first. Your bio claims what you do, your pinned post proves it with case studies or screenshots, and your LinkedIn invites hiring based on that proof. Without evidence of competence on your profile, even a perfect DM won't get a response.

When you send a DM, people don't just read the DM, they check your profile and then they read your bio and then they read your pinned post and then they check out the link in bio. So people need to see that you're good at something. On the bio, I like to claim my competence and what are you good at and why should people even listen to you? Because in your bio, it's a short segment. You can't really prove anything there. That's what the pinned post is for. So if you go to your pinned post, I'd like you to think about how can I prove my competence to anybody who lands on my profile. This is a great place to put a case study, to put your story, to maybe show some proof, share some screenshots, anything that can make people go, maybe this guy's legit. The bio claims a competence, the pinned post proves the competence, and the LinkedIn bio invites people to hire you for your competence. Because if you don't prove that you're good at what you do, then no matter how good your DM script is, you will never get a response. So that's the first step, proving that you're good at what you do.
