Coaches often ask new clients to hand over complete knowledge of their diet and workouts, then tell them to figure it out alone. The mistake: demanding full knowledge transfer upfront. Real progress comes from letting clients learn through doing, even when nothing seems to change for months, until suddenly everything clicks.

Something I do on onboarding calls, let's say I'm working with a fitness coach and I'll tell them, dude, let's say you're working with a client and these clients are like, if you could tell me everything that I can do with fitness, like everything, what to eat, what to do, what to lift, and you could just give me all the little details, could you please do that for me? Or it would be just easier if I did it myself. And they'll say, oh, it'll be easier if you just did it yourself. And then I go, that's exactly what's going to happen in this coaching. You're going to learn by doing it. You're going to learn by doing it wrong. And then eventually you'll win nothing for the longest time, and then you will win everything at once. But you can't tell when that will happen. But if you stick to the process, that happens.
