Cellular Regeneration - A Self Love Journey with Andrew Kennth Fretwel

Jodie Louise, a self-love coach, describes her journey from severe digestive pain, psoriasis, and cystic acne to healing through cellular regeneration. She outlines her detox protocol: gradual elimination of dairy, meat, and grains, plus enemas and colon-cleansing herbs. True healing, she argues, requires addressing emotional trauma and calming the nervous system, not just surface-level diets.

Hi.
Hi. Can you hear me okay?
Perfect. Good. I actually made this a loop in Vimeo, but it doesn't loop on On this program, so which is a shame, but that's just life, you know.
Yeah, it's always the way.
I have to loop it myself.
Oh, that's fun. Yeah. Yeah. For me, it's saying it could not be loaded.
Oh, interesting.
Yeah.
Sure. The other people are seeing it though.
Yeah.
But I just wait till people start showing up. So we have—
Beautiful.
How many attendees we have live now out of 54. So we'll just give it a couple more minutes for those of you that are a little bit early. Let's have a look at the time. Yeah, we have 2 more minutes. We'll just wait and I'll do a little intro. So hello everyone, uh, you're very welcome to this series of online events that I've set up. I thought it would be really, really cool to interview friends of mine who I have seen, you know, develop this this energy of self-love, you know, because I, I believe that the, the main issue driving all of humanity is this ability to love ourselves, you know, and to accept our uniqueness in this, in this divine drama that we play out here on planet Earth, you know. So this is the intention behind this series. There's going to be 6 interviews every Saturday where we just get to talk to people about their own journey of self-love, and we also get to talk a little bit about how that self-love journey led to some type of specialization or led to a feeling of higher destiny. You know, in, in my tradition, we, we call it Ming, you know, your, your worldly destiny. And one of the great things about Ming, and which you'll find from all of the people that we interview, is that it's by accepting our life really totally, and that includes all of the dark side of our life, we actually get to uncover and unwind our highest potential in the world, you know. So it gives me great pleasure, you know, to introduce my first guest. Her name is Jodie Louise, and I met her last year in Bali. And to be honest with you, I was very impressed with her because like me— I mean, she's a sort of a younger version of me— she was quite a hard party girl in her, in her young ages. And we sort of resonated on that, on that, on that level, you know. And but also I saw this incredible wisdom in her, and I knew that she'd walked a very deep path, you know. And so she was the first person that came to mind when I thought about this series. I thought, wouldn't it be great to interview her? So, um, here she is. I'm just gonna bring my screen down a little bit now and, uh, have Jodie say hi.
Hi everybody! Hi!
And I just want to— I just want to— I just— I just want to make sure that people can— can— can hear us. I want to make sure that we're not going to be you know, talking to anyone. So if you could mention in the chat that you are, you know, you can hear us and everything, that would be wonderful. Could someone just say if they can hear us? Hi, good to see you live. Hello, Lotfi. Yeah, one of my students from Bucharest.
Oh, wonderful.
Great. Can you hear us? Okay, give us, give us a thumbs up if you can hear us. Yeah, yeah, I think, I think he can hear us. Yes, it's good to see you live. Yes. Okay, we've got a yes from the participants. Okay, so I So I thought we'd start this interview, Jodie, by maybe you just telling us a little bit about yourself, but specifically about your own journey, because I know you've been through some very challenging times in your early life. And so I think it would be really nice for people to get a sense of you and, you know, that challenge that you've walked that's led you to where you are today.
Sure. Well, hi everybody. It's a pleasure to be here and share my journey with you. So my journey, As a young child, I was always very different to everybody else. Well, at least I thought I was. Now I've come to realize we're all very different anyway. But as a young child, I didn't think that way at all. And I thought I was this outside alien, and I didn't fit in with anybody. And I spent most of my life trying to fit in and be like everybody else. And I remember trying to dress like other people, going to see plastic surgeons to consider getting surgery. And to change the way that I looked. And as I got older, these emotions never got dealt with, and I was always feeling like I needed to be something different than what I was and never accepting my, my beautiful self. And that then led to a path, as Andrew said, of partying and going out, because the only way I felt that I could fit in with other people was to drink alcohol and to party. And that gave me a sense of satisfaction and fitting in and being like everybody else. But there was always this part of me that knew that there was something more, and I never really wanted to do that. And I really just wanted to be myself, but I didn't even know who that was anymore by that point. I didn't know who I was. So basically, on my path of partying and lifestyle, I gradually started to meet people, and I'd be like, oh, that person's doing something different. And I'd I was starting to see that there was another way. And I was living in Ibiza at the time when I started to connect with, I guess, some conscious community. And I was seeing people that were still living this beautiful, joyful life, but they weren't drinking alcohol. And I realized at that point that I, I could take another route. So I started to explore this other world, which led me down this incredible path of many different courses and trainings, and it led me to realize that the key to everything was self-love. And until I fully started loving myself and owning who I was, then I was going to continue going down the rabbit hole of not fitting in and not feeling good enough. And that's what led me to where I am in this very moment, working as a self-love coach, specializing in detoxing as a major focus, and mindful eating, and teaching people to really reconnect with their body because we're so conditioned to be told how to eat and how to act and what to do, and we've forgotten our own internal wisdom that we know everything. We don't need anybody to tell us what is right. And yeah, I mean, there's so much more, much more, but that's kind of my journey in a nutshell. There's many stories, many stories.
Of course, and thank you for that. I think, I think it at least gives an overview, you know, of Um, but, but I know also that, you know, you, you have specialized in— I shouldn't say specialized, but you've, you've focused a lot on cellular regeneration. And, and what I want to make sure that we do is that we cover all the bullets that I, um, that I use to promote this. So one of the things that I want to bring up now, and, you know, I hope you're not going to be too shocked, but that you sent me a before picture of some of the things that you were dealing with in your life. And so I wanted to, I wanted to, you know, for you to— I'm going to bring up the picture number 1 so that, so people can see the incredible transformation from where you were then and where you are now. But also like what that was like, because I think many people who are listening to this, listening to this, uh, interview, they all on some level are dealing with something, you know, they're dealing with some type of internal— yeah, something that's not loved inside of them, you know. And so I think it's really good that people get a sense that there is a way forward, no matter what's going on for you. There is always a way forward. And from my experience, it's been this trust in life that life gives us exactly what we need, even though it might seem very hard or challenging or painful. There is some wisdom in what life brings to us. And so I just want to bring up a little slide of, of, um, Jodie, of her dealing with her skin issues, you know, when she was younger and when she was starting to make this transformation. So I think it's just quite powerful for everyone to see that. Is that okay that I do that, Jodie?
Yes.
Okay, okay, do it. Okay, here we go. So let me choose the file, and here it is. And I want to share it with everyone. So yeah, we don't actually see it, but I think all of you actually see that. And it just, just to give you a sense of where Jodie was at when she started this journey of, um, you know, really starting to love herself and maybe changing the nourishment that she took into her body. And so that's something that I, I really want to bring out, you know, because you have such a specialist in that. You've helped me so much in in understanding cellular detoxification. And in fact, where I met you was on a cellular detox retreat in Bali. I'd been invited in there to teach OFT and the Gene Keys. And of course, I get to eat like all of you. So I was eating all of this fruit, and it was amazing because at the last day we had a feast. Instead of eating fruit, we suddenly had this big vegetable. And I'll never forget what I said to you and to the person. I was like, oh my God, I'm full on vegetables. We've been eating fruit, we've been eating fruit all week. And I was like, oh my God, I, I can't eat these vegetables, I feel so full. It was, it was the most bizarre experience, you know, for me, you know. And so anyway, let me stop the share. I, I think I, I think— yeah, stop the sharing. Okay, so anyway, maybe we could just talk about you know, what you were dealing with, you know, at the point of view of at the physical level. I think you were dealing with a lot of tough things physically, right?
Yeah. Well, it was about 12 years ago that my body really started to speak, and it started off with severe digestive discomfort. My stomach was constantly in pain, like every day. Like if you were to poke my stomach, I would have screamed. And I had severe constipation and my stomach was huge and it was like a rock. And that was kind of the first warning sign, but I didn't really pay attention to it. And that's usually the first thing that people experience, but they think, oh, it's normal, everyone has digestive issues, and they overlook it. And then it leads to other problems. And for me, this would have been 9 years ago, I was sitting with a friend and I started to feel really itchy all over my body. And it wasn't long afterwards, about an hour later, I had a cluster this big on the back of my heart. Right at the back on my back, and it was this big rash. And within a couple of hours, my whole body was covered. And that ended up turning into 2 years of my life where I was covered in this itchy rash that felt like bugs were crawling all over me. And what it was was a very rare form of psoriasis called guttate psoriasis. And in Latin, guttate means tear, teardrop. And this happened to me after an 8-year abusive relationship that I'd got out of not long before.
Wow.
So this— at this point, I was starting to be like, okay, I think the body speaks to us in interesting ways. But then that continued. I developed extreme body pain to the point that sometimes I couldn't even walk up a slight incline. I had severe cystic acne, as you saw in the picture, which was so painful, and many other things from there. Like, I started to get pigmented skin, which I've still got scarring from now on my face, and My— I had quite bad depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and it's like everything was falling apart. And at this point, I think I was 22 years old.
Mm-hmm.
And this is when I realized I had to make changes. And I started to try different diets, and I saw over 100 different health practitioners, and none of them really could work out what was going on. And I got to the point that my diet was so clean, and I even found this detox path. And I still wasn't 100% better. And the wisdom that I learned within that was it's so much more than what we eat. And that's what I love about Cellular Regeneration is we don't just focus on the diet. It's the emotional side as well. A bit like why we brought Andrew into the retreat that we were doing. He was there for the last 3 days. It's because without working on the emotional body, then you will not heal, unfortunately. So that was my greatest lesson. And as soon as I started listening to my body and seeing that it was speaking to me, that's when I had the greatest results. Uh, so yeah, that was a truly beautiful experience, but very hard, very hard. But I think that these things happen for a reason. As you said, Andrew, you know, everything that happens in our life leads us to where we need to be. So everything that happened, I'm so grateful for because I wouldn't be living the life that I'm living now.
So yeah.
Yeah.
I've heard, I've heard that so many times from so many people walking the path, but when you're in it, it's so challenging, isn't it? You know, And that's—
Yeah.
And that's one of the reasons why I wanted to do this series, because I wanted to give people a sense of hope and a sense of possibility that whatever's going on in their life, that there is a way through. You know, this is my deep, my deep knowing, actually, just based on my own life. And, you know, a lot of my students and friends, you know, like, like you, you know, that there's always a way through no matter what it is, you know. And so that was my intention with this. So can we talk then a little bit about this idea of cellular regeneration and what that means for you? Like, let's put it in the biggest possible context, you know, so that especially for people that maybe haven't heard it for the first time or, you know, like, what is cellular regeneration?
Well, cellular regeneration, it's working at the cell level, because so many of these diets that people are trying, it's really just working at the surface. It's, it's band-aiding symptoms. For example, like the ketogenic diet, it definitely is helping many people, but it's still working on the surface level. It's not going deep and regenerating ourselves. And when we regenerate ourselves, that's when we see the real magic starting to happen. That's when we're working at the root cause of the problem. So it really is, in my opinion, the only way to feel true health and for your life to shift on every level. You know, when we heal the cell, everything changes in even how we think. So yeah.
Yeah. Because yeah, I guess the cells are the building blocks of our organs, of our brain cells. I mean, it's everything, isn't it? You know, there's the cells.
It's everything.
Yeah. Yeah. And so what is your approach to that? Because as we spoke about before, before we did this, that we didn't really want to make it about a diet, but we wanted to make it more about like what's the best possible nutrition for souls in bodies. This is what I love. It's like, what is conscious nutrition for a soul in a body? To me, it's obvious that the less stagnation we have in our body, the more our soul can express. I mean, that is That is the essence of my work. I talk about qi stagnation. I talk about the qi not flowing. Like when we're little children, we're just so spontaneous. We let the emotions flow. We're so trusting of life. And there's a flow that's going on, isn't there? And so how would you relate that flow to like what we take in from the point of view of— it's not just, as you said, food. It's also how we deal with emotions and everything that we're sort of digesting basically, isn't it, Jodie?
That's right. Yeah, I mean, our bodies are extremely intelligent and every single organ has a purpose. So if one isn't working well, it throws them all off. And one organ may stop working because of an emotion or a trauma. So for example, the digestive system, if something really traumatic happens, the body stops, like the digestive system stops working out of fear and it starts to hold everything because it's worried that it won't be able to eat again because that's the initial flight or fight response that our body goes into there to protect us and to store. If we're experiencing a lot of anger or rage, it can be connected to the liver. You know, a lot of fear can be connected to the kidneys. So it's— everything serves a purpose. And then if you look at like the energy flow, the lymphatic system that is through our entire body, this doesn't have a pump. So it's a little— if that gets stagnated, then what happens is nothing can move around the body. And so it's really important that we're working on every single different organ of the body in unison with also our emotions. That if something's not right emotionally, we know something won't be right in the body and it's going to speak to us. So if I'm feeling angry, I'll probably have quite a tight pain on the right side of below my ribs, and that's a sign that I'm holding some anger or some resentment. So yeah, I feel like it's, it's really key to just work on the body as a whole. 360, you know, it's a full holistic approach looking at everything, and it's the only way to clean the body. But from a, like, a diet of what we need to eat, it's ultimately eating foods that are going to nourish us but also not create any obstruction in the body. So if we're eating deep-fried foods, fatty foods, lots of grains, fats, we're going to be clogging up the body, and then the energy won't be able to move through. And this is going to be on a physical and an emotional metaphysical level too. So if we eat fruits, like fruits and vegetables that grow in nature, we see them, and that's obviously what we're meant to be eating. And I always come back to nature. I think, what would I do before I had Google and a computer to tell me what to eat? I had an oven, a house, anything. What would I eat?
Interesting.
And you have to think I mean, we're very intuitive beings and we used to be able to walk into a forest or a paddock and we'd be able to forage and we would see different ingredients and we'd better look at them. And if you look at nature, it's quite remarkable. Like certain foods are actually shaped like organs of the body, especially the herbs which are used for medicine. And we were so intuitive that we knew all of this. So everything we need to heal is within nature. And I mean, even if you look at pharmaceutical medication, that all comes from the herbs in the plant kingdom anyway. Everything comes from nature. They've just recreated it and given it a new name so they can sell it, you know. So yeah, nature has everything we need to heal, and it's just about really simplifying our lifestyle.
Yeah, I really love that. Yeah, what what would we do if we didn't have Google? Because we we get inundated with so much information, don't we? You know, and so much information. Yeah, it's it's it's amazing. So what I'm hearing from you then is is if If someone wanted to just start on this lifestyle, obviously the first step would be just to try to eliminate things that are more stagnating so that the lymphatic system can start to move more. Is that what you— I know you have different levels of detox, and I love that about you because you don't expect people to go straight in with the really just going on all fruit or all vegetables. You guide them in gently, which I think is really important for people. You know?
Yeah, completely. And this is where I kind of actually went wrong, was I started to see diets that were for healing and I dove straight in and I actually caused more damage than good because our bodies are so stagnated that if we go all in too quick, too soon, our body starts detoxifying and then our skin gets worse. We get really uncomfortable, lots of pain, and that's not what we want. Like, for example, I think it was about 7— actually, Yeah, 7 years ago I did a whole month where I just ate bananas because Google told me to. And I was trying all different things. I still get called the banana girl by some people. And it's really important, and that's the approach I take with my clients, is always starting really, really slowly. So I'll start with just maybe eliminating dairy. And then trying to have days where we're not having meat, and then coming to a point where maybe there's no meat at all, and then looking at cutting grains, and just really eliminating things slowly. And the approach that I take usually is that I ask them, what's going to be easiest for you to eliminate first? And we take that away. And then we're like, all right, which one next? Because if you do it all at once, people end up binging and they end up not being able to follow it. And even if they can just cut out 2 of those things for the rest of their life, that's going to be a huge improvement. And what naturally seems to happen though is people are like, I want more. I feel so good. Give me more. Tell me what to do next. And that's the best way to be.
Absolutely.
Get them asking me. I don't like to tell people when I— yeah.
Yeah. This sounds such like such a wonderful approach. Yeah. It sounds such a wonderful approach because you're, you're letting them be their own master in a way, aren't you?
Yes, definitely. It's all about empowering people to tap into their intuitive wisdom so they don't need to ask me. I, you know, people always ask me, is this okay to eat? And I turn around and say, what do you think? And they're like, oh, and they know the answer. Everybody knows the answer. It's just about helping people remember. Like, you look at a baby and you put a baby on a whole table full of different foods, it goes for the fruit. And it gets so excited for the fruit because the baby knows what it needs to eat. But it's not until it grows up and it goes to a kid's party and they've got lollies and candy and they think it's cool to eat the candy and it tastes different and they end up forgetting what they're meant to eat.
Yeah. Right. I just got some feedback that they couldn't see your picture, so I'm going to try again just to share it. There seems to be an issue with the, uh, why we didn't see it, because we didn't see it neither. So I was, I was thinking there might be something wrong.
Yeah.
So let me, let me try and share that again and find out what's going on. Now it says sharing, but nothing's coming up. That isn't that interesting. Okay, let me try and add a file and see if I can do that. Um, uh, let me see. No, it's not letting me do that. Okay, it just obviously you, you are You know, not being able to be seen in your pre-healthy, pre-not-healthy days. So very interesting. Either, either you have a guardian angel or something taking care of you.
It actually, it actually was my first time sharing it, but I, I promise I'll share it on my Facebook and Instagram after this. I promise.
Yeah, I, I just think it was so powerful. Yeah, it was so powerful to to see that. So, um, yeah, we'll make sure that the people who have attended the webinar— so just so you know, uh, Jodie, there are 28 people watching us, so we have a nice little audience. And I want to let people know that at any time you can ask a question. You can ask a question and I will forward it to, to, to Jodie. And, um, I never really asked you, Jodie, it's okay if I just call you Jodie, or do you prefer if I call you Jodie Louise?
No, Jodie's good. It gets a bit long otherwise.
Okay, I just want to double-check, you know. We see Jodie very blurry. Yes, yes, Jodie's signal— she's in Bali, so the internet there is not so good. So that's why you see her a little bit blurry.
Sorry, guys.
Yeah, it's because of internet connection. I wish you could see her in her full glory because she's such a radiant example of health, you know. Can I ask you another question? When you started to make this healing shift, this shift in you, did you start to make a connection back to your digestive system? Because I have a personal reason for this because I had a lot— what started me on my health journey was some digestive issues. I had amoebic dysentery actually. But I'm just curious, as if you started to go in, did you actually get down to the emotional issue behind the digestive issue? Because that's where it started, right?
Yeah.
That's where your symptoms started before you got the acne, right? So did you discover what was the root emotion, or did you, did you get to see that or experience that?
Yes, I did actually, and it's still something that I work with. It's still very— but it's something I've moved through a lot. And what it was, was I wasn't digesting my emotions. I wasn't digesting my emotions. So I was I have— something would happen, I'd feel something, and I'd just let it go. But no, I'm okay, I'm good, I'm really fine. And I wasn't okay.
Yeah.
Um, and I was suppressing it, so it was like I was burying it in my body. And, um, also, like, I was, I was also a binge eater, so I would eat a lot of food. So I was constantly numbing, so my belly was always full. And that was like my way— I was eating my desires because I wasn't listening, and I just kept eating more and more to make me feel good. So that was my route. And I think everybody has something slightly different. It can be generally that they're not digesting something, a thought or emotion, they're choosing not to. But it can also be linked to the digestive system, can also be linked to an element of control, especially if you're finding that you're constipated, like you're controlling something, you're choosing to not let go. Because the first time we learn control is when we're being toilet trained when we're, when we're young. So that can actually be the root cause, especially constipation. But everyone's got different things. So it's, it's like usually with my clients, I'll ask lots of different questions to try to work out what it is. And eventually we, we often get to the root cause, which is beautiful.
Oh, beautiful. Yeah. Well, wonderful. Yes. So maybe I'll just share a little bit about my own, my own journey with detox. So, you know, what got me into detox— this was a long time ago, I was in my 30s. You know, I'm 63 now. So, you know, I had amoebic dysentery and it was terrible. I I just had all this pain in my guts, just horrible pain. I went to India, I was meditating, and I just got this dose of amoebic dysentery. Of course, I was trying everything. I was trying— you name it, I tried it, including the Western medicine, which is this horrible antibiotic called Flagyl. You've probably heard of it, but it's just really brutal. Nothing worked. Literally nothing worked. It went on for like 2 years, and it was just horrible. You know, it's very similar to you. My girlfriend at the time was working at the macrobiotic restaurant. No, no, she was working with Amnesty. And she said, why don't you go have a consultation with one of these macrobiotic guys? And I'll never forget the first thing he said to me. He said, he said, you know, he said, here we are, the most evolved species in the universe as far as we know, and we're blaming all of our problems on these single-cell issues, you know, like the amoeba. And it just hit me, you know, like— and he said, look, if you get your— very similar to what you said— if you get your system, you know, more open and more clean, your body will naturally expel the parasites, you know. So I, you know, I believed him and I started to shift my diet, you know. And literally within 6 weeks, I had a huge discharge of, you know, what I assumed was these amoebas, because immediately afterwards I felt so good. I felt back to myself, you know. But it was very painful, the releasing of it and discharging it. That was very painful. But what was remarkable, and probably this is something you've seen over and over again, is as I did that, as I started to eat more, just less stagnant food, it was basically vegetables, rice. I know you consider rice, but it was brown rice, which tends to clean the intestines. So anyway, but it was totally different to my regular diet up to then, which was a lot of sugar and alcohol. Meat. That was my diet, basically. So anyway, after about 6 months on this, I completely changed. My emotions changed, my face changed, my thoughts changed. I mean, everything changed. And I decided to dedicate my life to— so I started studying. This is where I learned all about Chinese medicine and everything. Now, interestingly enough, my digestive issues started to rise up again almost like 30 years to the day. You know, and not as bad as it was then, but it was enough for me to, to realize, oh, I, I probably need to clean my system out again. So that's what I've been doing actually. I've been cleaning my system. And so I had about 3 or 4 weeks of quite a lot of pain, but now I don't. It's, it's completely gone because I feel like I've cleaned out that stagnation, you know? So I just wanted to share that with everyone because it's, it's sort of, you know, sometimes people think, oh, you do meditation, you don't need to, you know, look at your diet. But I think we all need to look at our— look at what nutrition we're taking in. Um, I— and for me, it's really clear that so much of our eating is actually about emotions rather than just hunger. You know, this is very obvious to me, you know.
Definitely. And I think one of the first things people say when they're on a detox is how clear they feel in their mind. Because the digestive system is so connected to the mind, and if we have parasites or any bacteria in the gut, that can actually inform our mind. It can make us crave foods, it can make us irrational. So as soon as we clear the gut, we feel incredible. Yeah.
Amazing, amazing. Great. So if anyone, uh, yes, in order to see if we have to download and it takes you out of the webinar, and then you have to come back into webinar in order to see it. We have to download. Oh, interesting. I'm sorry about that, Amy. Yeah, uh, yeah, I'm still trying to use this platform, so I'll do my best to figure out what's going on. Uh, yeah, next time I hope to be able to share files easily. Anyway, um, so the other thing is, let's, let's talk about the skin. Is the skin related to the digestive system then? in some ways? The skin sort of a reflection of that?
Well, yes, in some ways. But in most modalities, they talk about the skin being the 3rd kidney. So generally speaking, if the kidneys aren't performing well and they're like weak, then usually the skin will show what's going on. And I've always had weak skin. And you can even see— you can't see my eyes properly because I'm blurry, but I actually have what's called a skin ring as well, which in iridology means that I always have a weakness with my skin. But the connection with the digestive system is that if you've got too many toxins in your gut and there's nowhere for them to go, they start to leach through the skin. And so the skin just lets us know what's going on, basically.
Yeah.
And you may have seen face mapping, where in Chinese medicine they say different parts of the face are connected to different organs. Some is the intestines, Some is the kidneys. So that is another map that you can also use to see where the acne is on your face to give you an insight as to what's going on as well. But ultimately, if the channels of elimination are working well, then you won't have anything going on on your skin. So it's about getting, you know, the first step with everyone is to ensure the colon is working and it's empty.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been doing that. I've been doing these Enemas, and I've been feeling fantastic with it, you know. So, so do you recommend enemas, Jodie? Is that something you recommend for some people? But is it sort of later on in people's detox journey, or do you recommend at the beginning, or is it just up to people to feel into it?
Yeah, I mean, enemas are going to be different for everybody. I mean, enemas are essential if you're doing a juice cleanse or something. It's really important that you're getting the toxins out of your body. So For example, when someone's on a detox, if they've got a headache, quite likely an enema will make the headache go away. So it's about getting the toxins out as quickly as possible. Yeah, and if you're not going to the toilet at least once or twice a day, then enemas are something that I would highly recommend. And I wouldn't— a lot of people do get addicted to enemas instead of working on the root cause as well. So it's, it's great to ensure that you're getting things moving. But it's like, well, what's the root cause? We need to like work out why you're not going in the first place. What's the emotion attached to that? Because you don't want to have to rely on enemas. Like if you're traveling and you're on a holiday, it's important to ensure that, yeah, it's not something you need to rely on. Yeah.
Okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. Yeah. Yeah. So, so this idea of trusting the body, then trusting the body's wisdom, could you talk a little bit more about that for maybe people that You know, that's a new concept for them. What is the body's wisdom? How do you see that working?
Yeah, well, generally speaking, when I tell somebody to listen to their body, they say, I've got no idea how. I don't know how to do that. I don't know what I want. I don't know what food's good for me. And that's very normal, especially when you have a gut that's filled with parasites and bacteria that are telling you what they want. So we're more bacteria than we are anything else. So if we haven't done a parasite cleanse before, we haven't done any form of detoxing before, quite likely you have some form of parasite bacteria or what you'd call like bad bacteria. And you can never get rid of all of that bacteria, it will always be there, but you want to have more positive, like more good bacteria in the gut. And this is why people start to feel happier when they detox because they're clearing out the negative Bacteria. So it is difficult when they're present to be able to listen to your body, and this is where I think detox is essential to help you get to that, that point before you can properly listen. And it's also connected to your intuition. It's very difficult to tap into your intuition when you have a vessel that's congested and stagnated.
Oh, that sounds so good.
But listening to the body's wisdom Yeah, but it's like a muscle. The more you listen and you practice and you make mistakes, the easier it becomes. You start to realize what it's saying, and the body will speak to you. Like, if you've got acne, your body is telling you that something isn't right, and you can choose to not listen to it. A bit like when my digestive system started to talk to me and it was like, hey, listen to me, you're not digesting your emotions. And if I had listened, I wouldn't have got the flow-on effects. And my body's like, you're not gonna listen, we're gonna give you more and more and more until you listen. And yeah, yeah. I mean, I can give it an example that I'm going through right now, actually. Right now I've had really dry eyes for the last 3 days, and my eyes have just felt red. And the eyes are connected to the liver, so I know that there could be something going on with that. But then I look at it deeper. I'm like, what am I choosing to not see right now? Is there something? And I, I've been sitting with that every day, and there must be something I'm choosing to not see. So that's my way of listening to my body and being present with what is there. So I still don't know what I'm not seeing though. I'm waiting.
This is really fascinating to me, this idea of, of people like doing some type of fast or some type of detox to get an idea of what it feels like not to have that, to have so much stagnation. I think it's a good, it's a good thing to do. I know when I've done it, whenever I've done just simple juice, or I've just not eaten for maybe 24 hours or something like that, it is amazing how you feel. You really do feel like more energy. You feel like, yeah, more connected. So I guess that is the purpose, right, is to get people to feel what it feels like not to have so much stagnation. Am I correct in saying that?
That's correct. It allows people to really tune into what is true. And it's to really connect with their higher self. And but what the other thing that happens is when you stop eating, because digestion is the hardest thing that our body does every day, when we take that away, not only does the body start to heal in other ways, it allows us to tune into what is it that we're really hungry for in life.
Mm-hmm.
Because you're not eating anything and you start to feel more. And a lot of people start to detox and they're like, whoa, it's too much. I'm feeling all these things. And that's That's what we want, and that's why fasting is so incredible. When I've done extended fasts, I've really started to see what's going on, what's really going on, and it's not always fun. It's not always pretty, but sometimes you can get huge downloads and visions, and you realize you just have to take a completely different path with what you're doing. It's, it's really incredible. Yeah.
So you discovered your true hunger, did you?
Yes, my true hunger. But what— that's what happens. You're like, what am I really hungry for?
Yeah, I think it's a great question because I think when we're young, I remember when I was very young, you know, I was always hungry. I don't mean for food, I mean for life, you know. I was so hungry for life. I was like, yeah, I was just like, let me at life, you know. It was— is that your experience after detox? You had this More hunger for life, you know.
Oh yeah. And I'm so creative now. I just want to create things all the time. And you also find that you really soften and you really just care about people more and you care about yourself more. It's just the natural progression that you just become such a gentle being. And, you know, especially when I see people coming off me and Going into just eating more fruits and vegetables, they're more connected to nature and the frequency of the earth. And naturally you just start to love the planet more. And that's why I feel that this lifestyle is really, especially now, is really what the world needs to shift. Because you just become— yeah, it's just, it's really hard to explain. You just become one with the universe, really. It's magical.
Yeah. Yeah, it sounds— yeah, I know, I've tasted it. I know exactly what you're talking about, Jodie. So thank you for sharing. It's really, really beautiful. Also, we mentioned herbs and things that you use to support people. Could you just give some people some basic— what you would recommend for most people when they first start out? Do you recommend it right at the beginning, or do you— what's your— what's the protocol, I guess, that you found is the most gentle and most loving? For someone who's completely new, who wants to just start some cellular regeneration?
Yeah, well, generally I find most people just want to be told, you know, some tablets they can take, what's going to be the quickest way to feel better. And unfortunately, the herbs are a beautiful tool to use, but taking them alone isn't enough. And generally I try and focus on just slowly taking things away that aren't great. And it's showing like how much you can actually have because fruits and vegetables, there's so many amazing ways to have them. I'm actually writing a recipe book at the moment just to show people how easy it is to eat this way and how delicious it can be and focusing more on just adding more fruits and vegetables into the diet and then gradually once people are like, all right, I'm ready for more, then you can add in the herbal protocol. But really herbs, unless you're doing a detox, Like, and you're quite deep into a detox, I wouldn't recommend them at the beginning and I wouldn't stress the body too much. And the first step though is to really focus on the nervous system and the adrenals. So potentially giving somebody something to help them soften and calm and getting a strong meditation practice, because without that, it's really— that's the foundation.
So yeah, I can imagine that because most of us, we're so driven by the adrenals, aren't we? You know, it's I see it when I go into cities and everyone is so driven. There's a driving force and the adrenals are just so overworked. And you can see if you go into a city like London or Paris and their eyes, you look at their eyes. This is especially obvious to me when I came back from somewhere like Bali or Thailand and I would see people's eyes and they're looking out for danger all the time. It's just like this, this, this alertness, you know? So I hear what you're saying about the nervous system, you know?
Yeah, definitely. So like if people are having stimulants like coffee, that's one thing that I really encourage people to start to stop having because not only is it highly acidic for the body, but it's also stimulating the adrenals and the nervous system. And if the nervous system isn't working, no other function in the body can work. Because it's constantly like this, and all the organs are like ah. So yeah, the coffee is one of the first things I will encourage people to come off. So if anybody's having coffee, there's some incredible alternatives that you can have, especially like medicinal mushrooms are incredible as coffee alternatives. And if anybody wants any recommendations, I'm happy to share.
So well, I just discovered Tia Chino. Are you familiar with that brand, Tia Chino?
Oh, I love it. I love it.
It's amazing. So listen to my story. I have— that was my one vice, you know. I've no meat, no sugar, you know, no alcohol, you know. I mean, I've offered all of that, you know, but coffee, oh my God. So, um, at Christmas this year, I just stopped, you know. You know, I just felt like I want to see what it's like without it. And also, friends of mine in this detox community, uh, you know them, Amy and Charlie. Charlie specifically, in recommended this tea, so I ordered it and I was so impressed. I was like, oh my God, and it was such an amazing experience for me. I think what we'll do is we might send a link to people so they can really see it because what I discovered was I would have one in the morning, but then if I had another one during the day, I could really feel that it wasn't good for me. It wasn't good for my kidneys. It wasn't good. I could feel my body didn't want it. Now with tea, I can have 1 or 2 or 3 cups. And I said to my partner, I said, isn't this amazing how life, you know, you think they're going to take something away from you, but they give you something much better, you know. So I really encourage all of you to, to get off coffee because it really is, um, it's really such an addictive substance. I mean, I, I didn't really drink it for the energy. I have so much energy. I drank it for the flavor. But the Teaccino, they've really got the flavor. I can put it in my espresso machine and I get a crema exactly the same as a— and I could put, you know, healthy milk on it. And oh my God, I'm just in heaven, Josie. I'm in heaven. And what's even better, no coffee now for 6 months. So I'm very, you know, but it was so easy. It wasn't— I didn't get a headache.
Amazing.
It was so easy. It was so simple. And now I can have as many cups as I want.
Yeah, so good. And the Teaccino, that actually has dandelion root in it, and dandelion root is a bitter, which is incredible for the liver, and the liver is the master detoxification organ. So what you're actually having is really good for you. So like, if you do have 2 or 3 cups, that's great. So amazing.
Yeah, it's amazing. I think we should definitely share that link with people you know, coffee alternatives that really taste good. Because I think most people, when they make these shifts to the coffee alternatives, they're like, oh, it's not like coffee. But Tea-O-Chino is like coffee, you know. It's like, it's amazing, you know.
Yeah, yeah.
No, amazing. Yeah, thank you. Thank you for reminding me about coffee. Yeah. So, okay, so how can people— I mean, I know you're offering a free support group for people to start the detox journey. You have a Facebook group for people, right?
Yes, I do. I've got a free Facebook group that I decided to launch. I actually posted about coffee alternatives in there, I think, 2 or 3 days ago, so that's already in there actually, with links to buy different brands and different options.
Okay.
But yeah, I've created a free Facebook group where people that want to detox can, can come in, they can ask questions, they can see different protocols and ideas and just have my support anytime, because when you're detoxing, it can become quite isolating. So yeah, did you want to say something?
Well, no, just that I put the link in the office, so if people want to connect directly into your group, they can see that link in the office on the webinar. So hopefully that's working, not like the file situation. Yeah, so wonderful. So you're— yeah, so you're actually guiding a whole group right now through detox, is that correct?
Yes, I am. So I marketed it as a program for the month of June, but people can join anytime and the resources will be staying up there indefinitely. So anyone can go back through the unit section and they can jump in and you can do it at your own pace. So a lot of people— there's 4 different levels that we were talking about before, and the first level, some people might stay at that level for 6 months. Other people might be weak, weak, weak and they'll dive straight in, and depending where you're at. So yeah, come join the group, ask as many questions as you need. It's going to be a beautiful way to get to know each other and meet other people that are wanting to detox too. And already so many people are answering each other's questions and they're making friends. And sharing recipes. And yeah, it's going really well.
So I'm so happy you're offering that. It's wonderful, Jodie. It's so wonderful you're offering that to people. It's— I think it's needed, you know. I, I think it's, it's great to go through something like that together, you know, rather than just on your own, you know. I think that's such a wonderful thing about the internet these days, isn't it?
Definitely. And it feels really good to give something back, especially through this time that I really feel detoxing is what the world needs. I really feel that's the way forward, and I'm honored to be able to share that with as many people as possible. So yeah.
Yeah, yeah. I really love this idea of cellular regeneration, you know. I really— to me, it, it really speaks to my heart that— because, you know, human cells, they're just so amazing, you know. I mean, science can't recreate it, you know. Science can't science can only copy, you know, but the fact that we have these trillions of cells, you know, I mean, trillions, literally there's as many stars up there as there are cells in our body. You know, we have trillions of them, you know, so, and, and it's so incredible, you know, it's just so amazing. Life is so amazing. Would you say your health now is, you feel like, you know, you have lots of energy, you don't get sleepy, uh, you, you, you know, Would you say that you feel like you're— I guess healthy is the wrong word, but do you feel vibrant?
Yeah, I mean, it's not very often that I compare back to how I was, but thinking about how bad I was, it's such a transformation to go from— I couldn't even walk up a tiny little incline at one point. My skin was so itchy and I was even embarrassed to leave the house. I sometimes had like white scaly bits falling off my face. And, you know, I still know that there's work to be done because the lymphatic system holds so much. And I still know there's more layers to feeling even better than I do now, which is so exciting.
Wow.
If, if I didn't do any more work, I'd be really happy with where I'm at. I feel energized. I wake up every day without an alarm at 6 AM and I'm springing out of bed. And yeah, life is really good. But the greatest gift is how I feel in my mind. I had depression for 10 years and I haven't had anything. I mean, I have moments where I go into processing, but it's never like that was. Like, I never— I used to feel hopeless. And now when something happens, it's like, yeah, this is exciting. Like I look forward to the moments because I see them as growth and that's because I've done the work on my body because my body can handle it. So yeah, it's truly a gift. This lifestyle really is.
Yeah, this, this really sounds amazing because I think so many people deal— the mind is so debilitating for so many people. I mean, in my work, you know, I just see that the way people think about things is really like 80, 85, 90% of the issue. You know, it's huge to get the mind really thinking clearly and, and, and, and yeah, like more optimistic, you know, more like what's, what's possible, you know, like we were as a child, you know. It's that— So I guess this is what, this is what's so exciting about this work of cellular detoxification is that as you clear the toxins and as your energy starts to return, then every system in the body, including the the thinking process starts to open up. You start to have what I call— what I perceive anyway— as a divine mind. It's a mind that always sees possibility. It never sees limitation. It always sees there's a possibility. And not many people make the connection with the mind, with the body, with the cellular detoxification. And I'm really glad you brought it up because I think so many people struggle with their thoughts so much, you know, like worry, for example. Anxiety is such a huge issue in so many people's lives, you know.
Yeah, completely. But I feel like what also opens up is our hearts when you are on this lifestyle. Like I kind of touched on before, that connection to nature, but really what that is is a heart opening. And once your heart is open, you just— it is the most incredible feeling. And when you turn that love inwards, and I think this being about self-love, this is really relevant, it it just becomes this— you just love yourself so much that you don't even need to think about what to eat or who to spend time with or what to do with your life. It just becomes so clear because your heart is so open. And it's— yeah, that's the greatest, the greatest gift.
Oh, this is it. Yeah, that's a, that's a perfect place to, to end this conversation, or at least open it up to questions. So as you were saying that, I could feel my heart like, you know, Because I recognize, I recognize the truth of what you're saying. You know, it's— that's been my journey. I, you know, my journey hasn't been so much one of cellular detoxification, but it has been one of my heart opening, you know, and, and becoming more childlike and more innocent and more gentle, you know, and all these types of things. So, um, so yeah, it's— I, I totally resonate with what you're saying there. And, uh, so, so I'm hoping that some, some, some of you will have some questions. Can you post, or you can raise— I think you can raise your hand and we could let you speak. Yeah. Oh, here we go. Let's see. So this is from Camellia. I drink coffee for the texture and because I love to have a hot drink, and I love to have— and I'd love to have an alternative. Yes. So, okay, we'll post you some alternatives. And as you said on your group, you have some alternatives you've already mentioned that are very healthy that are made out of mushrooms and things like that, you know. Yeah, definitely. Yeah, yeah, we'll definitely, we'll definitely share that with you, Camellia. Okay, okay. What is your opinion on supplements, Jodie? From Eleanor.
Yeah, so supplements is kind of a very big area, and if I quickly share my journey with supplements, I started taking supplements when I was 20, and I had no idea what I was doing, and I was taking so many, and I actually did my body more harm than good. Because I wasn't working with a professional, and I was taking things that had lots of fillers, and I was actually congesting my body more and more and more. Because ultimately, if your digestive system is working how it should, your absorption increases and you start to get all of the minerals and things you need from the food that you're actually eating. So the way that I look at things is actually simplifying things as much as possible, taking nothing if you don't need to, unless you have an extreme deficiency. where maybe you need to. The ultimate aim is to cut back as much of everything, simplify the diet, and then slowly start to add things in. But most people are just adding more stuff on top, and it's just piling up and piling up. And often we don't need to take them, and often they're actually a waste of money. But feel free to join my detox group, and you can share in there, like ask questions about what you're taking, and I can make recommendations to you in there. So yeah, I'd love to support you in your journey with your supplements to see if it's actually worth you taking them.
Yeah, yeah. I mean, they're expensive as well. My God.
Yes, yes.
And let's talk about— I mean, we have more time, but let's talk about this because I think it's an interesting thing that the whole sort of we could say the whole worldview behind supplements is that we don't have enough, we're missing something. They actually sell us on that on some level, that we are actually missing something. And I think it's a— I mean, there's obviously truth in it from the point of view that our soil is so depleted now, there's hardly any minerals in the soil and things like this.
Yes.
So there is some truth in it, but on some level What I've come to understand is we're not really missing anything. We're so enriched by life. There's so much goodness available for us. It's when we open up and can actually see it and perceive it. But there is this whole thing with the supplements about you're missing something or there's something missing from your life. And they're really tying into some type of deep fear, some deep collective fear in the collective, I think. When they, when they do that on some level.
100%. I mean, so much of it is fear. People especially— I mean, B12 is the perfect example. Everyone's like, if I go plant-based, I'm going to need B12 and I'm going to be deficient. But what people don't realize is that meat eaters are just as deficient as plant-based people. So it's the meat isn't actually giving people the B12, and B12 is produced in the gut. So if we can clean up the gut and allow it to function properly, it starts to do its job naturally. I mean, I haven't taken B12 in a really long time, and I had my levels checked just to see, and it's perfect. And I'm not having anything that's high in B12. It's because my body's functioning properly. So I feel that the key is just to simplify everything, and the body will start to function how it needs to. And again, coming back to nature. where were the supplements from? But when it comes to minerals and things, there are some better sources of minerals. For example, fulvic and humic minerals, which are a much better way to get your minerals. So it's not to say that minerals aren't needed because they definitely are, but it's finding the right products and knowing what to take. Otherwise, it's just a waste of money. So yeah, and a lot of like the foods that have fortified vitamins and things in, they're just really they're not working. The body doesn't know what they are, and you just, you just wee them out anyway.
So yeah, yeah, thank you. I mean, we have some more questions coming in, which I'm very happy about, so we'll just keep going. Are you okay to keep going? Yeah, great. Okay, so, um, yeah, and as I listen to you, I get so excited because I can feel that everything is coming from your wisdom and from your experience, Jodie, which is what I think, you know, one of the reasons why I wanted to introduce you to, to my community, just because I feel like you have of wisdom in this field, and I can feel that when you talk about it. There's such a wisdom there. So anyway, here's another question from Irina. What would you recommend to deepen the cleansing of the colon?
Yeah, so with the colon, changing the foods that you're eating obviously makes a huge difference. If you're eating foods that are easy to digest, that's going to help the body eliminate, and The ideal way with the foods that you're eating is to have fruit during the day and then to have a salad at night, because what happens is the fruit's going to stir everything up in the gut and then the salad's going to act like a broom and sweep everything out. But in addition to that, there are some beautiful cleansing herbs that you can take that are also going to support that, and that's going to depend on what you need. You know, some people are going to the toilet too much versus not going at all, so it's working out the best herbs to take to support the gut to cleanse. And also some people are going to need to take things like charcoal, which is going to pull toxins out of the wall. And there's many different products. So it really depends on where you're at and what it is that you're wanting to achieve.
And I guess on your group you have some protocols and things like that for people.
Definitely. Yes. Yeah. But ultimately it's what you're eating is the key. You know, if you're eating the right foods, that's going to do most of the work. Yeah.
So I'd just like to talk about this idea of fruit stirring things up. What do you mean by that? Because maybe people don't understand what you're saying.
Yeah, so fruits are so easy to digest. So easy. You know, you eat fruits and they digest really, really quickly. And, and what they do is they, they go into your body and they just move through gently. So anything that's in there, it kind of stirs it, it stirs it all up. And so a lot of people, they eat fruit and they say, I get an upset stomach, or I get bloated, or I get gas. And that's because it's so powerful. Certain fruits are really astringent and it's really pulling. So like if you're having citrus, for example, that's going to be pulling toxins. But what can happen is when you eat the fruits, they then just sit in the colon and you're not properly pulling it through. And that's why that salad at night— or I love grated carrots, I can't get enough Grated carrots, they just really sweep the colon and they pull everything out. So that's why I feel they work really, really well together. And this is where I went wrong. I went fruitarian for quite some time, and for me, it just— I wasn't ready for that step. It's not to say you can't go fully fruitarian, but for me, I feel like I need to have salads and sometimes to have cooked foods and having like steamed veggies and things like that. So for me, that's what's worked. And that's what I recommend. Yeah. So yeah.
Thank you. Thank you. Someone has a sharing. First they say very interesting webinar. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you. So this is a gentleman, my friend Lotfi in Bucharest, but he's from Holland. He's a good friend of mine. By changing my diet and routine last year, I lost all the weight I intended to and gained so much energy. I did at the same time work energetically and on my mindset. They need to go in parallel. Yeah, so he's just sharing his experience of, of how it's important to work both at the same, which is just confirming what you've been saying, I think, which is nice.
That's beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Yeah, yeah. Okay. Let me see if there's any other questions. What's your opinion on supplements? Brilliant. Please share coffee alternatives. They're all excited about the coffee alternatives. Can we have a record? Yes, you'll be able to have a record of the webinar. No problem. Yes, it's being recorded. So Okay, no, no more questions. I think we've, we're finished with the questions. So, um, yeah, Jodie, thank you so much for this. It's been really, really magical, and I know you have so much wisdom in there for your age. You know, you're, you're such a spring chicken, you know, so I'm just amazed at how much, how much wisdom you have. You know, it's, it's really incredible. And, uh, you know, from one party boy to a party girl, you know, I just want to say we got through. We got through the hedonistic lifestyle, you know. And, uh, and when I look back at that, you know, we made it. We made it, you know. But, but part of us, part of me feels like that, that was very much about us living life, you know. And I mean, we were maybe avoiding things, but there was something inside me— I can talk for me— that was like, I just want to live my life as fully as possible. So that was drugs, sex, drugs, and rock and roll, you know.
Yes, I can relate, fully relate. Yeah, and we still are, we're still living life to the fullest.
Yes, yes. I mean, I feel like since I've been detoxing now, you know, um, I can feel the child in me coming back, you know. I can feel this enthusiasm for life coming back. And that's what I wanted— why I wanted to do this series, because I think, you know, the cellular detoxification and regeneration is something that's, that's not really talked about in depth, you know. It's, it's, it's a little bit— there's so much information out there. That's what I wanted to say. And, and it's so easy to get caught up and get lost and, and to give up, you know. And so One of the reasons I wanted to bring you on and some other people about this is because there is a clear path and it doesn't have to be so confusing, and you actually can get very good results in, in quite a small amount of time. That's what I wanted to share with people. It's very possible, you know.
Definitely. Yeah, if I can do it, I never thought I would do it. I really never thought I'd feel this good. I didn't think it was possible.
Wonderful. Yeah, well, you certainly look great and you feel great and you have a wonderful heart. And, and I'm missing Bali tremendously. I want to get back there as soon as possible and be with all of you, but we have to wait until they let us in. But I'm gonna be there soon. I'm gonna be there soon.
Yay!
So thank you so much with all my heart for just spending your time with all of us here. Really appreciate it. And thank you for your wisdom, Jodie. I really, really love you and really appreciate you and everything that you're offering to the world. Yeah. Thank you.
Thank you for having me. Thank you.
You're welcome. You're welcome. Great. See you. Bye everyone.
See you later.
