In this instructional video, wellness coach Jodie Louise shares the detox support tools she has found most effective after years of trial and error. She explains why detox can cause uncomfortable side effects such as acne, bloating, and tooth sensitivity, and then presents a series of practical methods to alleviate these issues and help the body eliminate toxins more efficiently. The tools covered include: (1) tongue scraping and oil pulling to remove oral toxins; (2) enemas and colonics for bowel cleansing; (3) dry brushing combined with lymphatic point work to stimulate lymph flow; (4) sauna or other sweating methods to promote toxin release through the skin; (5) stomach massage to aid digestion; and (6) supportive herbs tailored to specific discomforts. For each method Jodie offers a brief “how‑to,” safety tips (e.g., do not swallow oil, spit it onto a plant; avoid clogging drains), and the rationale behind its detox benefit. She invites viewers to ask questions, comment, or join her detox group for deeper guidance, ending with an encouraging, loving sign‑off.

Hello, beautiful. Today I'm going to be speaking to you about tools to support you on your detox journey. So I've been detoxing for many, many years now, and I've done it all the wrong ways and finally found all the right ways. And I was on detoxes and in so much pain and so much discomfort, and I got to the point that I thought detox was evil. I thought that detox wasn't helping my body because it was often seeing bad side effects and acne and discomfort in my body and bloating. So I found all the things to support me. So today I'm going to talk to you about a few of my favorite tools that I use to support myself when I detox. So one of my favorites is tongue scraping and oil pulling. So tongue scraping is basically a metal device shaped like this. I should have got mine to show you actually. And what it does, When you wake up in the morning, you might— may have noticed that you have like a white coating on your tongue. This is called ama, and when this is on your tongue, this is toxins, and that's basically things coming out of your body. So if you don't scrape it off, you're gonna swallow it back, and then it's gonna have to go through the process again, and you eliminate it in other ways through your body. So if you can scrape it off your tongue in the morning, you're going to be supporting your body to be more comfortable And honestly, who wants to have thick white stuff on their tongue anyway? That's absolutely gross. I know that I wouldn't want to kiss anybody that has that, that's for sure. And another thing that you can do is oil pulling. Now, so many people when they're detoxing, they say they get sensitive teeth, and this is because the acids leave through the mouth, and then you can get discomfort around your teeth. So by oil pulling, you're actually pulling it So you put oil in your mouth, ideally sesame or coconut oil. You definitely do not swallow it. You twirl it around in your mouth for about 20 minutes. I know it sounds gross, and the first couple of times you do feel like you're going to gag, but you get used to it. Twirl it around in your mouth, and what it's doing is pulling everything from your gums, and then spit it out. Not in the toilet or the sink or anywhere like that, because it will clog the drains. Oh. But spit it out on a plant or out in nature. And get rid of it. Definitely do not swallow it. And another one of my favorite tools for supporting you to detox is enemas and colonics. Now, enemas and colonics are going to basically fill your belly up with water, and it's going to sit in there, and then it's gonna help you release any trapped stools, poop, any poop that's trapped in your belly. Oh wow, it's getting really bright right now. I'm in beautiful sunshine right now. Yeah, anything that's trapped in your belly and help you to release, because if you have a backed up colon and you're not releasing the toxins that you're releasing during detox, 'cause when you're detoxing, toxins are coming from everywhere in your body, and if you don't release them through your bowel, through your kidneys, through your breath and your skin, what's gonna happen is you're gonna get really uncomfortable. So yeah, do your best to support your body, and enemas and colonics are one of the best things to do. And I will be doing a post shortly in my detox group all about enemas, and I might make a video as well. But there's so many incredible videos on YouTube as well that you can watch that talk about how to do an enema. And I know at first it feels weird, but they're absolutely incredible if you're feeling like a lack of energy or Or you're getting skin breakouts or you're feeling bloated, enemas are really gonna support you on your journey. So if you're not having 2 to 3 bowel movements every day during your detox, you need to be doing enemas. So if you're on all juice, for example, it's absolutely imperative that you are doing that. Another one of my favorite tools is dry brushing. Dry brushing basically brushes in the direction towards your kidneys and the lymphatic drainage points to support your body to release the lymphatic system. So the lymphatic system doesn't have a pump, so we need to support it. So we can do that by sweating, cardiovascular activity, and saunas, which are incredible tools to use, but the body brushing is actually going to support the body to release, and you can do it every day. So I always start by opening up my left lymphatic point by doing circles in this direction and this direction, and then I brush towards that point because that's the main limited point on the body for the lymphatic system. Then I do the other armpit, then I do my left and right lymphatic points in my groin, and then I brush towards those. And then I do my stomach last, brushing towards my left side and Basically from the bottom. I'll show you. I've got my microphone here. From the bottom here and up and around. And I also often do stomach massage as well. I know these are many different tools and you may have lots of questions, so please ask me if you want more information on how to do these things as well, and I will go into more detail. Today I just wanted to give you the different options to support you and to, I guess, create some interest from you to see which resonate for you and which of them maybe you feel you need to add into your detox protocol. So please leave me a comment if you'd like more information. My last tool that I will touch on today is herbs, and I have talked about herbs a lot. Herbs are incredible tools to support you in your detox journey. If you're having any discomfort, there's a herb for everything. So please reach out if you would like any advice on what herbs are best to support you during this time. Sending you so much love, beautiful, on your detox journey. Have a beautiful day. Thank you, Jodie.
