Ladies and gentlemen, we are live! We are live, baby! I'm so excited about us being live. We're live, we're live! Can you hear me?
Uh-huh. We're live!
I don't know if you guys can hear me, but I'm playing music that I created with artificial intelligence about Purim. It is a special day. Let me know if you could hear the music. I could hear it and it's really loud, but I hope you can hear it. Let me go see if I can hear it. I'm gonna go into my phone, check if it's there.
I can hear it.
Oh, I can hear it. Oh, I can't hear the music. Hang on a second, let me just see if I can add it. Oh, it's so not working. The music's not working. I think it's like filtering out the music. Let me go Oh, echo cancellation turn off, noise suppression turn off, advanced auto audio gain. Okay, let me— yeah, let's see now. Join me on the dance floor. It's gonna be a party. I could share a shaman no more than child. It works now. Yeah. Feel the rhythm. Feel the beat. Move your body. Stomp. All right. Exciting, exciting, exciting. I figured it out. Now I gotta just. Let me just get out of this LinkedIn Live here. Okay, here we go. All right, we're live. We figured it out. There was noise suppression on my mic, and now we're live. Oh, looks like it looks like you're here, Margo. Margo, welcome! So glad that you made it.
Thank you.
I'm so excited. I made a I made a Purim song. Can I play it for you?
Please.
All right, here we go. Throw your hands up. Let the music guide. It's time to celebrate. Let the music shout. Put on I don't like the way he says "אחשוורש" and "המן". He like says it in such a terrible way. The woman says it much better. Here, check this out. It's time to celebrate, break, let the music shout. Put on your costumes, let's go all out. Join me on the dance floor. It's gonna be a ladies and gentlemen. It's gonna be a party. Let's go. Are we ready to party, Margot? You can hear the music, right?
Oh my God!
This is artificial intelligence generated music right now. AI. It's it's like insane. I'm gonna be discussing it in our, in our masterclass. It's just so exciting. I, I'm just so fascinated by this. All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome, welcome, welcome. By the way, I have so many great songs that I created with AI because I found this new AI that just came out, version 3. And Margo, I have been creating some incredible, incredible music with AI. Do you want to hear another beat that I created?
Share the playlist.
Oh my goodness, I'm gonna have to upload it to, uh, I'm gonna have to figure out how to upload it to Spotify and put it on Spotify because it's like, it is— the music is better than, better than I imagined. Check this one out, check this song out. The JOE's here, I'm about to tell you about the This one's called— let's go. This one's called Rise to the Top. You ready?
Go.
Uh, I started with a dream on the outskirts of the mainstream with nothing but a scheme in a world so extreme. From the shadows of doubt where my fears would scream, I held on to my vision, my ultimate dream. No silver spoon, no golden plate, just a heart full of fire and a will that won't abate. From the alleys of struggle where survival's a debate, The stages of triumph where I stand and I create. From the bottom to the top, I struggled every rock, every tick of the tock. I absorbed every shock. Life of an entrepreneur where dreams never stop. From the bottom to the top, from the bottom to the top. Pavements were my mentor, the stars wrote my script. In the silence of the night, my ambitions I depict. With every failure, a lesson, each setback, a tip. I built my empire brick by brick. In the market's jungle where the fierce compete, I found my rhythm, I found my beat. With innovations, my sword, my path. Crashing my fleet, I turned my aspirations into a beat. From the bottom to the top, I climbed every rock. With every tick of the clock, I absorbed every shock. Life of an entrepreneur where dreams never stop. From the bottom to the top. Wasn't that a— isn't that a great song? I'm gonna send you the song via WhatsApp so you could listen to it later, and then you'll tell me what you think about it. But that is, um, that is generated by artificial intelligence. And everything. I just basically gave it some, a prompt. I did a prompt and you can, you can prompt in the type of music that you want. Like as a prompt, as words, you can say, put horns, put, put a female voice, make it a, make it a, like, make it in any language. Like literally any language you want, you can like literally create in any language. I did one about our high energy networking event that's happening. Step into the virtual scene. It's time to connect. High energy networking. You know, we're the best engaged LinkedIn users. But the crazy thing is that I actually posted that on LinkedIn. So if you go to LinkedIn and you go to my thing, this is the video. You see this? This video here? Check it out. I'm having an event on March 27th at 4 PM, so I created a rap about it. You want to hear it? Yo, LinkedIn fam, lend me your ears. We got an event that'll shift your game so stiff. Crazy, right?
It's amazing.
Crazy. Like, you could literally make it say anything. And then at the end, I freestyle a little bit over here. If we go to the very end, let me show you how to be— let me show you how to see all these people on LinkedIn. So, so if you guys want to watch that, just go look at my, my, my stuff, um, here. It just, it's just incredible, like, what you can do. And guys, let me know where you're dialing in from. If you're watching this live, let me know that you're watching this live. I'm here with Margo, and Margo wanted me to walk her through some automations and how to create automation. So, uh, Margo, do you want to tell everyone a little bit about your business, what you do, and the type of automations that you're looking for?
Hi, hi everybody. Sorry for the echo. I'm not where you're coming from. Um, thank you for the help today. I work with business owners to help increase profit, maximize Taxes and bring back your time, um, in the professional service-based industry. And I'm looking to maximize my automation in terms of emails and DMs by category for the service-based business owners that we work with.
Okay, excellent. So you have 22,000 followers on LinkedIn. Very impressive. I mean, being able to pull that up, that's super impressive. I see you posted 4 hours ago. I'm gonna go ahead and give you a like, and I'm gonna use Evvy AI to draft a short comment that's under 20 words that's inspirational. Um, just like that. You see that? And you know, the, the thing with Evvy AI, Margo, is that you can actually, uh, program it to like, uh, to promote a book, for example. So I'm gonna create another comment that's gonna promote my High Energy Networking book. And so it'll just create that and then just promote my book. You see that? And it'll just write a comment that relates your post to my book and links to my book on Amazon. That's just, it's just insane that you can do things like that. But let's go into, let's go into the automation software.
So the comment to relate to your products. So let's say my various products, I can save that for the different products to relate to your post also.
Exactly, exactly.
So I'm an NVAI customer.
Yeah, of course. If you're an NVAI client, you just go here and then you click on personas, Margo, and where it says see all personas, you just, you'll, you'll have many different personas that you can create. So I created one related to real estate, one for the demo, one for the High Energy Networking book. So if I click on edit, it says my name, the name of the persona, and then over here it says act as Joe Apfelbaum, the author of High Energy Networking, a book on Amazon. Don't include absolutely or you nailed it or any of these things. And basically just include the link and tie the book into the comments. You see that? I literally said include the link and tie the— so every single time I write a post, it'll include the link. It's whimsical and the industry is networking, which is— it works really, really well. So one of the things that I want to show you just in the automations that I create is, for example, this guy Bob just connected with me on LinkedIn.
Oh, cool.
So what I did was I put Bob into the system. I got his cell phone number, his email address, his LinkedIn URL, and I sent him a text message. I said, grateful that we're now connected on LinkedIn. He replied with a thumbs up. But I also have an automation going out to him. And this automation here is, Bob, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Joe Apfelbaum. We recently connected on LinkedIn. I wanna take a moment and personally reach out to you via email. And I'm basically sending him an email automation telling him that I'm gonna send him more stuff. And I have a whole series of emails that are gonna go out automatically to him after just introducing myself, telling him about the different products and services that I have and, and who I am and all that stuff without being spammy. You know, just, it's a text-only email. So it's, it seems like I wrote this email myself. Um, and he's not like on a list or anything. I did, however, tag him with this particular tag called LinkedIn Connection Series, New LinkedIn Connection Series.
Mm-hmm.
So the automation, the way it works is you say, when I add a tag to a contact, then do whatever. You then send a text message, then send a series of emails, and then wait a day, and then series another. So I'll, I'll just basically go into your account because you're, you're already a customer. Um, and, uh, Hart, just, is it okay if I go into your account now?
Yeah.
Okay, so I'm gonna just show everyone how it works. I'm gonna go into your account. Um, and these are your contacts. So right now you have 48,000 contacts here, which include your LinkedIn connections and so on. So if you, if you want, you just go through your LinkedIn connections. For example, this guy Kirk over here, and you see we included his LinkedIn URL here. So for all your LinkedIn connections, all their LinkedIn URLs are included. So if you want to, if you say, okay, by the way, do you know Kirk?
I don't recall him this moment.
Okay, you don't recall him. You can see where you're connected to him. You were Margot Masteries or mutual connections. So he's one of your 22,000 connections. He's not very active on LinkedIn. He's an asset. So you could, you can tag him and classify him into a particular tag. And then later what you can do is you can go to your automations and you can set automations to create automations for people that have that particular tag.
So then I have to go one by one to make sure they each have the correct tag.
Well, you have to, you want to, you want to go one through one by one anyway through all your contacts just to make sure that you know who each person is. You don't want random people in your contacts. What I would suggest that you do is, you know, just set up a time to go through each contact and see who the person is and see the conversation you already had with them on LinkedIn. You have to go through each one. Let's see, that's, that's what a lot of people are not ready to do. They're not ready to actually look or just keep their, put their eyes on each person to determine, hey, is this person even a potential client for me? Is this person even need to be on my list? Does this person even exist? Or did they die? You know, like, or, or are they— or is it spam? Obviously. So I would go in here and just, you know, check their contact information, see if they have an email, see who they are. That she's not very active on LinkedIn. I don't know that I would target this person as a potential client because it seems like she's not doing anything on LinkedIn. You know, she hasn't been on LinkedIn in a while, and I don't know that she even has a business. If I click on her company page, it doesn't link to any business or anything.
So I'd say like 30 minutes a day, I make sure to keep working and tagging so that I run through the list so that I could appropriately message them going forward.
Yeah, or as, or as you see people engaging. So what I prefer to do is as I see people engaging, for example, David, right? You see David engaged with my content. He's from Atlanta. So what I'll do is I'll look up, because I already have all the connections in my CRM, I'm going to switch over to Joe and I'm going to look up David. I'm going to do a quick search for David and I see David's in my CRM. And I haven't organized him yet because I didn't get through all my 30,000 connections yet. So now that I see he's active on LinkedIn and he's engaged, what I will do is I will take his contact information from right here, including his cell phone number and everything. And I will, I will just basically copy and paste it in here. I could use scraping tools to automatically do this, but I actually want to segment and look at and build a relationship with this person. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to tag him as an engaged LinkedIn user because he's commenting on my stuff. You see, engage LinkedIn user. Now I have a list of all my users that are actually engaged on LinkedIn.
Now you have your tags and ours also.
Um, I, I didn't put— I, I have— I didn't put all my tags into your account because I don't know what tags you want me to put in there. But if you try, if you, if you, if you want to tag, you could just create one if you don't, if you don't have it. And I'm happy to show you.
You always have good ideas.
Yeah. And that's why, and that's why you come to the That's why you come. That's why you're a client of Evergreen Networking. And if you come to our sessions, I'll give you all the different ideas for the things that you can put in there. Or if you come to the business develop— the AI business development meeting, that's where people kind of get their ideas. And we do have different workflows, again, depending on what you want to accomplish and what you want to do. But yeah, just, just, you know, as, as a starting point, anyone that engages with your content is much more likely so that they're actually going to do something with you. So I'm going to go in here and I'm going to see the conversations that I had with this guy. You see that?
Yeah.
I see I have a whole conversation with this guy. So, um, it says over here, blah blah blah, thank you for being a premium user. So he's a premium client of Evy AI. You see that? He's one of my clients at Evy AI. So what I'm also going to do is I'm also going to tag him as a premium user here.
Based on what they're doing is what we're labeling the tag.
Yeah, based on whether he's a customer or not a customer, or what, you know, if he's engaged, if he's like, if he's on my LinkedIn Live, like if If anybody goes on my LinkedIn Live now and starts commenting on my LinkedIn Live, I might put them into a LinkedIn Live series where now I'm engaging with them. I see nobody really commented yet. Let me just click on Show All Posts. Guys, please leave a comment on my LinkedIn Live if you can. If you're watching this live and you're getting value, just write value. Let me know where you're dialing in from. Would love to see you. But as you can see, no one commented yet on this LinkedIn Live, which is fine. It's a Sunday. I don't expect anyone to kind of start commenting, but if people do comment, Then what I'm going to do is I'm going to start building a relationship with them. Now the same thing is when I'm looking at who viewed my profile. So I'm going to go in here, I'm going to take a look at who viewed my profile. I have 6,000 people that viewed my profile. These are people that are active in my network. You see, these are actually active people in my network. Some of them are not, but if this guy, for example, this guy who's a business coach sent me a connection request from Ontario, you see that I could press accept You see that? I could press accept. Now what I can do is I can check to see if this guy Patrick is in my contacts, and chances are he's not gonna be in my contacts. Well, why should he be on my contacts? I'm gonna search for him. It says no, no, he's not on here. So I'm just gonna press add, and I'm just gonna add him to my contacts just like this. I'm gonna grab his email from his contact info, which is right here. I have his cell phone number there too. And now I have a new person who looked at my profile, which I have no idea who this person is, but we're now connected on LinkedIn. I can start nurturing him and building relationships. I can text him, email him, whatever. So if I'm going to go into my search box and I'm going to pull up Patrick's information over here, I'm going to add him as a new connection now. So I'm going to go here, I'm going to put in new connection series, new connection series, and he's going to start getting an email from me introducing myself to him. I'm also going to send him a DM. I'm also going to send him a DM saying thank you for connecting on LinkedIn. So I'm going to use some other automations as a new connection. Excuse me, I don't know why I'm coughing so much.
I hope you feel better.
No, I'm fine. I'm just— I had apple cider vinegar and it's like irritating my throat.
Happy Purim again.
Oh, happy Purim. Thank you. So you see the way I sent him this thing? Patrick, thank you so much for connecting on LinkedIn. I'd love to get to know you, whatever. So I sent him that. Um, and I sent him an automation here. And now what I'm going to do is I'm also going to copy his, his LinkedIn URL and put it into, um, the place where it says LinkedIn URL here. You see that? If I have his website, I'm going to grab his website. I see, I don't even know where his website is, but I think this might be his website. So you might say, Joe, why are you doing this manually? It's because I actually want to go to his website. I want to see how many employees he has. I want to see what he does for a living. I want to take the time to get to know my connections and see who they are, and I see that he has a website, but he doesn't have yes get he doesn't have a funnel. So I know that he doesn't have a funnel yet. What I'm going to do is I'm actually going to offer him something later on. I'm going to I'm going to put a note in over here. I'm going to click on notes, and I'm going to go here. I'm going to press Windows H. He currently does not have a marketing funnel, and I'd like to offer him a marketing funnel later on. But first, I'm going to nurture him a little bit and see if he responds. to my LinkedIn notes and also my emails that I'm going to start sending him now in this series.
So dumb.
But he seems like a great guy that would want to have a marketing funnel because his website just says schedule now and he needs to have a funnel. So maybe he's a potential client for Unlimited Digital Marketing. So I just pressed save. You see that? So I had the AI write up all this text here. And now my assistant can check it out. I can check it out. I could assign it to a sales rep or whatever. And now I have this person who is a new LinkedIn connection inside the new LinkedIn connection series. And if I see he's a customer or something like that, then I'll, I'll move it on. I'll move it on to the next thing. Um, now I see that he posted on LinkedIn. I might go in here and also leave a comment on his stuff. This is the benefit of actually taking the time and looking at the people and seeing what they're up to and what they're doing.
So I have a question for you. So I see completely the different activities once someone's a new connection, but is there a way for the new connections to automatically go in and almost leave like a to-do, or each one has to go in?
Well, you could do it automatically using automation tools that LinkedIn doesn't allow. So LinkedIn doesn't want you to do that. There are tools. I think you're using a tool called WeConnect or something. That tool does monitor your new connections and you might be able to hook it into LinkedIn or hook it into, um, this CRM because this CRM works with Zapier and make.com. So technically you could automatically do it. I would rather do it manually because I actually want to touch each person and look at their profile. So if it automatically goes into my system, I don't know that I want to send that series to every person. I definitely don't. Every single person that I connect with, that might be a current client of mine, a close relationship that I have. I'm going to go send them a series now and market to them. That's weird. That's it. Let's that becomes weird. So I don't want to do that to everybody because that's like spammy. So what I would want to do instead is actually take the time to look at each person and turn them into an actual relationship. So every single person that comments on my post over here. I'm going to review them and see what their status is and where they are and where they're located and how many followers they have and kind of just build a real relationship with the person. And most people are absolutely not doing that because they just don't know that you can even do this and they don't have the technology to do it. So as I see people engaging with me and building a relationship with me, I'm going to slowly put their information into my CRM and make sure that I am building deeper connections with those people. Um, this guy's an engaged LinkedIn user.
So I like that. I'm gonna update my daily to-dos, in other words, to take now the daily connections and then add what we said, like what we said, to make sure they go into GHL, check their posts and any notes that I want to put in, tag them.
100%. Somebody, somebody said, Joe, where do we get access to the software? You just go to unlimiteddigitalmarketing.com. unlimiteddigitalmarketing.com. So let me show you how to quickly create an automation workflow. So this is, this is how you do it. I'm going to go back to your account, Margo, just to kind of show you. We're going to go back into the heartfelt one. Over here, and now what we're going to do is we're going to click on Automation, and then over here, over here we're going to click on New Workflow. Now there are recipes that you can choose from here, lots of different recipes for workflows, but we're going to do Start from Scratch. You see that Start from Scratch?
Yeah.
We're going to press Continue. Now what we're going to do is we're going to name the workflow. So this might be Happy Birthday. Okay, Happy Birthday.
Email.
Okay, so if you want to send them a series of emails wishing them a happy birthday, what you can do here is create a tag. So we see if you— the, the contact has a tag, um, a contact tag, um, happy birthday series. So this is the happy birthday series that you'll send them. Add filter. So if the tag is added Happy Birthday Series. Okay, so I just created that tag. So that's the trigger. So you see it says if the tag is added, then what? Then you press the plus sign and then you say email, send an email. You see that? Mm-hmm. Email Happy Birthday 01. So this is the first email you'll send out. We're gonna do it for Margo. You'll put in your email here. What email do you have on this account?
margot@heartfeltcfoandtaxservices.com.
And then the subject line would be like, happy birthday to you. Okay, and then what you can do is you can click on custom values, and you have a lot of custom values you could use. So in this case, we're going to choose their first name. You see that? Contact._firstName. Happy birthday to you, space, first name. So that'll automatically go in the subject line. Just noticed on LinkedIn that it's your birthday. Wishing you the best year ever, Margo.
How come I can't see you writing that?
Um, it's not coming out as me writing it? Did you— do you see it though?
Oh, now I do. It was over at the bottom. Okay.
Okay. Yeah. Okay. So I said, just noticed on LinkedIn that it's your birthday, wishing you the best year ever, Margo. Okay.
Yeah.
Um, and then you, you can also put your LinkedIn URL there if you want. I'll just go in here and grab your LinkedIn URL like that. And then you could just go like that. Okay, CPA, whatever. And then you press save. So now this email is complete. Now what we're going to do is we're going to click on plus and we're going to do wait. We're going to wait 1 day. Okay, and we're going to do 1 day. And then the next day you can say, how was your birthday, right? Or you can wait 5 days. 5 days.
I would say, how was your birthday?
Well, you're gonna wait 5 days, okay? Because 1 day might be too much. Okay, so wait 5 days. We're gonna click this and we're gonna do copy, and we're gonna do copy action. Or you can do copy all from here, copy to here, so it copies both. You see that? Yeah, I'm gonna click in here. Now we're gonna do birthday 02, and I'm gonna say— Was it—
email? Can you just fix it to CFO, not CEO?
I think I wrote CPA.
Oh, no, that in the email from the email line.
Oh, heartfelt CFO.
Thank you.
Back services. Save. I'll fix it here too. Okay, so save action. So now I'm going to go back in here. So this is the birthday 02 message. It's going to say. I hope you had a great birthday. I know we have been connected on LinkedIn, but I'm not sure if you know what I do. Do you mind if I send you some details about My business. Let me know. Happy to learn about your business too. Okay, Margo CPA. Save. So now you send them a second birthday message, and then you can go on and on and on and on and send more messages and more messages and kind of say, by the way, here's my networking one sheet. By the way, um, I don't know if he— if this is helpful for you, but here I created the 7 points to whatever. And then you can, if you click on enrollment history, you can see all the users you've enrolled to that. By the end, what you want to do is you want to remove the trigger. So you'll go to the very end and you type in contact tag, remove contact tag, and then you can select the actual tag and select the tag you want to remove, series, happy birthday series. You'll remove it and then you can add another tag that you Hang on a second. Contact tag. Or just tag. Remove tag. Happy birthday series. Save action. Remove. And then you just go in here and tell it to remove happy birthday series.
I have 2 specific questions.
Okay, go. Okay. But do you see what I did here?
Yeah, so just following up on this, to make it more personal, we're doing stuff around birthdays like we are, like you always teach us to do when they come up in LinkedIn.
Yeah.
But let's say like for me now, tax season, from March 15th to April 15th, if I want to share to my overall email list, what do you suggest?
I wouldn't share things to just, just blast things out to everyone. I would create segments of your email list based on who the people are. So you can easily send things to real estate agents versus mortgage brokers versus CEOs and whatever. And depending on who they are, I would send them a different message. I wouldn't just randomly blast everybody because especially if they're LinkedIn connections, you want to make sure that you, they feel like it's a custom email that's coming to them. You want to make sure that you're actually doing that. If you want to send out a newsletter, just send out a monthly newsletter, everybody. That's fine. You can send out a monthly newsletter. You can go back over here to your marketing. Hang on a second, let me hit save so we don't lose all this.
Okay, so what, what I'm following is— sorry— is that let's say value emails 2 times a week or something like that, you don't suggest? Only a newsletter? Because like I see sometimes you're doing tips consistently.
I do Tuesday every tip. Every Tuesday I do a tip. But that just goes into a regular list. That's a Tip Tuesday. And then I tag people to go into my Tip Tuesday when they come into whatever. There's just, they're in my Tip Tuesday email. They get a tip every Tuesday.
So my list are people who chose to be in it for value stuff that I send.
Okay. So then you could decide how you want, how you want to send them stuff and then send them emails on a regular basis. We do a monthly newsletter, plus we do a weekly Tip Tuesday. And then plus we make announcements for webinars that we're doing.
Okay.
Those are the things that we do. So that's—
A monthly newsletter.
That's, that's, that's what I would do.
Tip Tuesday. And then you have events. Okay.
And then I have events. Like, for example, we're having an event. We're having an event coming up. This is— let's see where the— this event over here, March 27th. Your high level of energy sounds like an excellent opportunity to be authentic as a presentation sales expert. I appreciate the emphasis. Count me in on March 27th. So now he said he wants to be counted in on March 27th. So what I'm actually gonna do is I'm actually gonna go ahead and email him. I'm gonna go into here. Remember I added him, added his email?
Yeah.
So I can click on contacts, pull up his email because it's right over here, and I can just click on email and then I can create an invite specifically for that event. So what I can do is I can just send him this. Let's see.
So let's say this list that we're talking about, if I adopt something similar to yours that hasn't been emailed in a while, is there like things to know about before emailing the list again?
If you haven't emailed it in a while, I would probably clean the list first, David. I would just run it through a cleaner because you're gonna end up screwing up your email if you, if you just send emails to old lists. Like, for example, even me, I sent out an email to 250 people that expressed they were interested in networking, and about 30 of those 250, their emails were bad. So if you do that to too many people, if you do that to thousands, you're going to get your, your IP blocked from Google and from other places.
Is that something I can do with Michael and you?
Um, you can ask us to create an SOW for doing that for you, of course. Yeah, we're a full-service digital marketing agency, so we could do anything for you. And We can give you a price for that, of course. David, want to be included on our exclusive list of networking events here? Fill out this form, indicate it. P.S., thanks for the comment. Okay, so now what I'm going to do is I'm going to hit send, and I just sent him this very nice email over here about filling out a form to be included in the networking event. Now what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to save this right over here. I'm going to save this. I'm going to go to conversations. I'm gonna click on templates and I'm gonna go in here and I'm gonna click on email template snippet, and I'm gonna add this as a template. You see that instead of David, I'm gonna add a variable here. Contact first name. So wanna be included in our exclusive list of networking events? Fill out this form and indicate that you're interested in upcoming offers. We will include you in future events. The reason we created this form is so that you can create curated networking events. Thanks for filling out the form. Okay, P.S. Thanks for the comment. P.S. Looking forward to supporting you, your business. By the way, check out www.highenergynetworking.com if you want to see my book on networking. Okay, so now I'm going to go here. I'm going to call this High energy networking form. And the thing will be like, want to be included in our high energy networking.
It sounds more efficient to ask your team to do the clean list outside with taking it all, which I can screw— mess myself up even more.
Yeah, again, it depends on your budget and depends on you know what you can afford to do. But I would definitely consider because there's a price that a company charges for that. So hang on a second. My kids are calling me. Just give me a give me a moment here. Just a second.
Hello.
Yes, my love. Um, no, he lives in— my, my, uh, my son called me up to figure out where to deliver shlachmanos to my brother. Isn't that cute? Isn't that the cutest thing ever? My little son called me up to ask where he gets shalach manas to my brother. That is so nice. That is such a sweet thing. So if anybody wants that form to be able to join our high-energy networking events, just write high-energy networking in the chat of this LinkedIn Live here, and I'll be happy to kind of just send you that template that I just sent to David. My goal is to be able to build relationships with people and kind of get to know them. So Um, if you guys want to see me build out a, uh, an actual post right now, I'll just show you how I do a post using Evie AI. So check this out. So I'm going to go here, I'm going to share the window of my post. So this is my, this is my thing over here. I'm going to go into Evie AI here and I'm going to click on Post Writer. You see, this is my Post Writer. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to select the goal. The goal is going to be informational. Then I'm going to select my tone. The tone is going to be informative, and then I'm going to select Joe Applebaum as a persona. So what I'm going to do in here is I'm actually going to grab high-energy networking form. I'm going to grab the form. This is the actual form here. Okay, so this is these are the questions that I asked. Want to be included in networking events? Take a moment and fill out the form. Okay, so I'm going to go that. I'm going to copy that and paste that into here. Take a moment and fill out the form to the best ability. Take a moment and include and prepare your. Networking information in a document, here is what I would tell you to include in a list. Okay, so now what I'm going to do is I'm going to go here, I'm going to click on Settings, View in Sheets. And I'm going to click here, and I'm just going to grab all the headers of all this. And paste it into Evie AI. So basically, I'm just pasting the contents of the spreadsheet in here. You see first name, last name, email cell, whatever. You see that? First name, last name, email cell.
Can I ask you a question while you're doing this?
Yeah.
Is there another way to do the clean list?
You gotta, you gotta use a list cleaning service. That's That's the way to do it. I mean, you could email each person one by one. Again, if you blast out a list— how many people do you have on your list that you want to blast?
It's 25,000.
Yeah, I would say that would be problematic to just email 25,000 people if you haven't emailed them in a while. Do you have a percentage of the list that you've emailed recently?
I stopped in November.
So that's quite some time. Do you have details of who was actually engaged on the list?
That was an engaged list, the 25,000.
No, but what percentage of those people actually opened emails?
On average, it's 25%.
Right. So 75% of the list is not really engaged just because they opted in at one point. Only 25% of the list actually opens the emails. The other ones, they may not even monitor their inbox, or it might be a spam trap or whatever. So if you're sending out an email and only 25%. Look at this. Look out. Look how beautiful it did this. You see the way it turned it into a whole list of bullet points and everything? Now I'm going to press copy. You see, I just created a whole LinkedIn post while we're talking. I'm just so— I'm so happy about this, Margo. I'm going to go here. I'm going to click on media and I'm going to put my selfies because I, I had AI take all my selfies and put them into Let's see, documents, photos. Here we go. Here's a collage of selfies. So here's a collage of selfies. I'm going to paste this and I'm going to— are you ready for meaningful connections to propel your career to the next forward? Networking just isn't just about exchanging cards. It's about crafting relationships. Do you recognize any of the people in my 200 Selfies collage. As we gear up for 2024 networking events, I want to share a pro tip that's been a game changer for me and many others. Prepare your networking information in advance. Here's a checklist to help you get started. First name, full name, email, cell. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. It isn't just a list. It's your personal brand in a nutshell. By having this information at your fingertips, you can seamlessly share your professional narrative. Remember, networking is about adding value and building trust. Okay? Keep your introduction genuine. Be clear. If you're serious about growing your network, you wanna be part of our exclusive events. Having this document ready is the first step. It's simply a powerful tool. Um, would you like to get your hands on a template to make this even easier? Hit yes in the comments. Hit yes. Send me the networking form. in the comments and I'll make sure you get it. Boom. Okay, so now I'm gonna press send and I just did multiple calls to action on there. Do you see the way I customized the post?
Yeah.
And I did it in a very powerful way. Now I'm gonna copy the link to the post and what I can do is I can go into my CRM here and I can click on contacts and I can just send it to my engaged LinkedIn users. I can go into the tag I can find the tag here of my engaged LinkedIn users by going to tag, engage, and then I could just select all and send them an email saying, hey, I just posted this, do you mind dropping a comment? You get it? And then they'll all get an individual email from me directly one-on-one. So that's a very powerful thing that you guys can do once you have everything organized nicely. But if it's not organized, it's problematic. Oh, by the way, someone sent the word demo. to my CRM and it automatically texted them a link to my demo. How cool is that? And then it followed up a minute later with, hey, if you watch this, can you drop a comment? And tomorrow it'll ask them, did you actually drop the comment? Isn't that cool?
So what I'm getting at is that all these connections, it's obviously the high value of the one, of the one-to-one, how you add them in the CRM. And that's where you got the personal automation from that one person, and then the tags, it kind of all fell together.
Yes, 100%. 100%.
Okay, so then let's say post your events, you're going one by one of the people who responded and commented and came with the same concept with the tag and making sure that they're in With what we were just doing.
Exactly, exactly. What you need to do is you need to figure out who's who. You have 48,000 people. I— you have 48,000 human beings, right? That's how many people you have. You got to figure out who is who. Have you ever done a webinar recently?
I haven't done a webinar recently, no.
Have you done any type of event?
No, I've only been doing LinkedIn Lives. I haven't been doing webinars.
I would recommend doing a webinar and then promoting the webinar and seeing who comes or who registers. And then you can take that registration list and throw— and you can just scrub it against this and then you'll— and you can tag them all. And that's how you quickly mass tag people. So if you have 50 people that attend the webinar, now you can tag 50 people at once that all came to that webinar. You— are you part of a networking group?
No.
Okay. Um, I mean, Look, at the end of the day, it's going to take time. Oh, look at that. This guy wrote, I specialize in business owners' profitable exit. Let's connect. And then I said, Patrick, thank you so much for connecting. So he— so you know why there's 2 here, by the way? You know why there's 2 DMs here? Because one he sent me from Sales Navigator and one I sent him from LinkedIn organic. You see, when— that's how I know he's using Sales Navigator.
It's going to take me time to work through these things, but I'm trying to find the low-hanging fruit to start the week?
The low-hanging, the low-hanging fruit is you can email a segment of your connections by searching through. I'll show you in a second how to do that. Um, how's Sales Navigator treating you? I just want to make sure that I send him that. And then there's another guy over here, Logan. Um, did you text the word demo to me? I just want to see if this is the guy because I did a background check on him, and I think that was his cell phone number there. Let me just double check. Uh, 9669. Let me just double check that against the CRM. 9669. Let's see, is this his cell? Where's his cell phone number? Oh, 9669. Look at that, it's right up here. You see that? 9669. So this is him. So there was no way for me to know that unless I did that background check. That is freaking cool. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to copy his information over here. Now I know who texted me. This guy texted me and I had no idea who he was, but now I know who he is because he's my LinkedIn connection and he hasn't responded to any of my things. But he's— but he's— now he's in my— now he's in my system properly. So check this out. Check what's going to happen now. I'm going to press save. And now I'm gonna search over here. I'm actually gonna search in the regular search box. I'm gonna type in Logan. Um, I have 22 Logans. So I have Logan D. Friedman, and then let's see if I have him again anywhere, 'cause this— you're gonna have to do this as well. Logan D. Friedman. So this is the only Logan D. Friedman that's here, I think. Let me go to the next page. Oh, you see he's here twice. So it says you selected 2 people. Now I'm going to press here and then I'm going to do confirm. I'm going to do resolve. And now it resolved the duplicates. You see that? It took both of them, both of the contacts, and it put it together. Now I'm gonna grab his email from Apollo. You see his email's in Apollo here. I'm gonna grab his email and then dump his email into here. So now I was able to, um, fill his email out here. So I'm gonna take out Logan D so that when I email him, he's here. I'm gonna refresh the page and I'm gonna ask him to check out the demo of Evvy AI. Do you wanna see how I tell him to check out the demo of Evvy AI? So check this out. I'm going to email him the demo. I'm going to click here. I'm going to go here. I'm going to click here. I'm going to go down to the demo. Actually, I created one called Unlimited Digital Marketing Demo. Yeah, I created a video on LinkedIn about our marketing automation technology we call Unlimited Digital Marketing. Would you be willing to watch a 9-minute video by dropping and liking a comment on it? Let me know. Thank you. So I created a demo of this, of this product, and I just emailed him the demo from my Gmail, from my business Gmail. You see that?
Mm-hmm.
But I, I did it because I already had the template stored. So this guy right here from FTW Investments, co-founder of FTW Investments, um, that he has for 4 years. is now— it was in my CRM, but it wasn't organized properly. So now I added him properly in my CRM. You see that? But I need to do this manually so that I can really get to know this person and who they are and see that I actually have a relationship with them. Like, you got to get your eyes on this stuff, you know what I mean?
Mm-hmm.
Like, I actually want to go to his website. I actually want to see that it works. I want to see where the opportunity is, upcoming investments, check out his blog, check out how many employees he has. You see that? what he's looking to do. You see, this is him. He's the co-founder of this company. I see that he has several other partners. You see that? I would love to do a training for all their partners. If I'm going to get them as a customer, I have to know who they are. If I'm going to have a— if he replies to me, I have to know who he is. He's interacting with me. So if I have 5,000 people interacting with me over the course of the year, I now went out to 5,000 websites. You can do this. You can go onto 5,000 websites over the course of the year and build relationships with people over a long period of time because you're only doing about 100 or 200 a week. If you're doing 200 a week and there's 50 weeks, that's 5,000 people. You get what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Or my math is off, but it's more than 5,000 people. But that's, that's the idea. So I'm gonna save, and I'm slowly saving all his stuff.
Okay, so I see what you're saying about going to each person, checking their stuff, and the power of that for sure. Naming the tags, being able to go into their profiles. Um, so like when you did the email before, you just did that person specifically for that email, not necessarily that blast that we would get for the tips and all of that.
Right. That blast, that blast is in my marketing software. That's separate. So I'm not using this as marketing. I could use it as marketing. Right now I'm using it as my networking CRM, my networking platform.
The notes, you mean?
Um, yeah, for each. Yeah. So yes, the notes and even the emails and the automations and everything that I do, I'm doing it from a networking standpoint. And I have other software that integrates with this. called ActiveCampaign that's doing the, that's doing marketing to just random lists of people that download things from my website. But you can use it for both. You get what I'm saying? You can use this software for both. I happen to have other systems that I'm using that are, that I'm paying for separately that I technically don't need to pay for that, but I'm using this as kind of like my personal CRM. I also have other accounts over here where I'm doing it from a marketing standpoint, like Evie AI or whatever. But this is my personal list of my personal LinkedIn connections that I imported here. And now I can tag each person. I'm going to tag him as engaged, an engaged LinkedIn user, because I know he's engaged because he actually saw that demo thing. So he's engaged and he's also posting on LinkedIn. So I'm going to, I'm going to go in here. I'm also going to drop a comment on his post using Evvy AI. You see that? And I'm going to, I'm going to comment about the demo that he just requested. So he requested the demo. He got a text with the demo. Now what I'm gonna do is I emailed him the demo to Unlimited Digital Marketing, and I'm gonna drop, I'm gonna drop the demo here as well as a comment. You see that? But you can't, this is not something that is necessarily completely automated because A, it's against LinkedIn's terms to automate things to that level. And also your relationships are not, You know, connecting with someone and really getting to know them is not an automated process. It's— there's no automated process to like automatically build relationships for you. You have to get on the phone with people.
No, no, no. My, my question would be is, is like, I have calls that people inquired, but they didn't go through. Is there a way?
Yeah, tag them. You, you probably have a list of them somewhere. You can, you can sync that list up with this and then automatically tag all those opportunities. Exactly. Well, either by the opportunities or even just reimporting those contacts and tagging them all at once. Where is the list of all the people?
They're on Excel.
Right. So you take that Excel, first name, last name, email, you import it into here, and then you say tag it and merge it, and it'll tag it and merge it. So when you go—
How do you import the lists?
You just go up here where it says import contacts. Here you see it says import contacts.
Yeah.
You click on it and then you just, uh, put up your CSV, your first name, last name, email, business, whatever. And then you map the fields, and then at the end you tell it sync it.
Will it go into opportunities this way? It won't go—
it won't go into opportunities for a deal, but if you tag them when you import it, because you can add a tag, then later you can put in— you can create an automation that anyone that has that tag gets, gets put into an opportunity.
Okay, okay. So my old lists, I'm going to use the import. The daily activities you helped tidy that up. And then the emails, I understand about emailing the whole—
And again, and again, this is a, this is a process, right? This is not something that you do overnight. This is like the rest of your business life. So you do things a little bit slowly. And then eventually, you—
But it's methodically towards—
Yeah, but, but then once you, then once you have, once you have everything organized, then you have like a marketing system. Like I have a marketing system. Like I have a, I have a system of people buying things from me on a regular basis. And my goal is to get a million clients, like to really help a million people. And I, you can't do, you can't get, you can't help a million people unless you have real automation going. It's not going to work. But I have, you know, even just my networking relationships that I have and what I'm doing over here, I'm using a methodical approach. To building relationships with people. Like if if Jeff comments on my posts, I know who Jeff is, right? Jeff is an amazing friend and referral partner. What I want to do is I want to pull up Jeff's information in my CRM. You see that? I'm going to pull up Jeff Goldberg. Jeff Goldberg. Jeff Gold. Jeff Goldberg.
My last question is, is how do you find such quality people to work for you?
Oh, you test out people. You test out people. You fail a lot. I failed a lot, a lot, a lot.
But do you have like a group or like a place where you post?
Uh, Upwork.
You do put on Upwork?
Yeah, I actually hired someone that's a recruiter that helps me find people. So she'll find people and bring me qualified people. If that makes any sense.
Yeah, no, totally. It saves a lot of—
because I don't have the time to go there, post it on Upwork and start interviewing people because a lot of people don't show up and it's garbage. I just sent Jeff Goldberg— Jeff Goldberg commented on my post. I just sent him the list to Unlimited Digital Marketing. Just the video, the video to Unlimited Digital Marketing so that he, that he can watch this. I'm also going to text him Privately, and I'm gonna say sent you an email. I'm gonna say sent you an email. You see this? I'm gonna say by the way, sent you an email with sent you an email with a demo of our marketing software that you have access to. If you, if you know anyone that might benefit, benefit from it, forward it to them. Thanks.
All right, so Joe, I really appreciate today. This was a treat.
No, it's my pleasure. I'm so happy to do it. I'm so happy to connect with you, and thank you for being a client, and thank you for— Yeah, thank you.
I guess my closing thing is, is just I think I would love to just take out time. Like, I was talking with Michael. He's a delight. Everybody should know Michael. I work with him. He's a delight, very helpful, very clear when you work with him. If that's okay, I'd love to just do work with him, like, just to get, like, a bigger momentum.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no problem. I mean, we definitely can help you out from that perspective and help you get that momentum. I think it's good for us to be able to do that and support you in that way.
Yeah, I want to do that proposal too, but I think we need them. I need the momentum.
Yeah. Um, yeah, and look, ultimately at the end of the day, every single conversation that you have with someone, you, you just basically tag people and you put notes in and you put tasks in and you put people into pipelines. Uh, let me take— do you have your pipelines ready or did you not create them yet?
I have a bunch of Excel sheets that I want to put in. I worked on that Today, I wanted to get that into the opportunities. And my other problem was, is that I have stuff in Pipedrive. So I wanted to put them all in. I wanted to get them all into—
Yeah, that's what I would do. I would, I would go into the opportunities tab and get all your Pipedrive stuff into here. And then that's where— that's the low-hanging fruit. And then just start reaching out to those people, tagging them properly and emailing them and creating templates to email them.
But my first thing is to do the import. The problem is I don't know how to do it from the import the tag into opportunities.
Well, that you do in automations. So you set up an automation, you go to automations and you create a new workflow, and then you start from scratch. And then you can say, um, if the contact— you add a trigger that if a contact gets added, if a tag gets added to a contact, contact tag, If a tag gets added, you see, so if a tag gets added that they're a prospect, then the next step in the workflow would be, uh, create a, um, create an opportunity.
Can you do that in mine so that it's there?
Yeah, I mean, I— what I would suggest is first import the stuff in, put them into a tag, and then later we can automate Adding everyone from that tag into an opportunity.
Okay. So I'll get on that.
That makes— does that make sense?
Yeah, I'm sure I'll have follow-up, but I think I have what I need to for the momentum right now.
Yeah. And also you don't want to just dump people into opportunities. I like going through each opportunity and seeing who it is and then creating the opportunity because—
No, my lists, these lists, I know who they are. They all have notes and they're all in my ideal client and my niche. They're clean.
Okay, okay, good.
All right, I already did that before I contacted you.
Yeah, so you definitely, you definitely are able to go through the, you know, when, when you're adding somebody, um, there's definitely— look at all the opportunity things that's here. So opportunity, it says opportunity status change, then do this. Opportunity created, do this. Opportunity change, pipeline change, stale opportunities. You have all these different things that you can do. Um, here. And so, and if there's, if there's something that we need to do for you, then we're happy to kind of help you out and do it for you. So, um, you know, figuring out how to do things is not rocket science, but if you have the list, you want to get those people in here anyway. So I would say—
So I'm going to get those lists into there and then—
And tag them and tag them properly. And then we'll try to, and then we'll try to figure out an automation to automatically get them all to have To have to be in your pipeline.
Okay. And then my past LinkedIn events, can I— is there a quick way to download those or those I'm going to have to go one by one?
So if you go to linkedin.com, like over here, you go to linkedin.com and then you go to events.
Wait, LinkedIn, let me start with you. Sorry.
Oh, you want to see your own LinkedIn events? You just go to me and then you go to profile, you look at your own profile and then you click on events. There should be an events tab here.
Right. So, but those people, I want to create the tag like we just did within the automations. I want to create, um, that they come to my live events.
Well, there's, there's, there's no way to like, there's no way to like download all the people that came to the event.
It would have to be one by one.
If they even said that they're coming to the event. I don't know. Let me go to Margo. Let me go to your profile and even see where it says it. There might be a way to download all the people that liked it or all the people that commented on it or whatever using an automation. Yeah, let me just see.
Thursday, uh, that one that didn't happen yet, that one doesn't have yet.
Okay, that one, click on networking. So it's just me and you. Okay, so let's go back. I like getting people into— I like getting people into a Zoom if I'm going to do a webinar, just so that I have more control over everything. Um, I don't see— it says 6 attendees. I don't think you have a lot of people that are coming to these things.
The other ones are bigger. This one was short-term. The one right before that, that one was like 200.
But if 200 people showed up to it Does it say a list of all the people that were there?
I can pull up the list.
Yeah. There are automation tools that help you be able to scrape all that from LinkedIn. I don't personally use any of those tools because it's, you know, it's against LinkedIn's terms to do that. But there are tools that allow you to be able to just pull information automatically and get a whole list of people that attended an event or whatever. But I would, I would, you know, I would say this is work for an assistant to help you with, to kind of help you organize. Yeah. Yeah. Finding an assistant is a challenge, but you're gonna have to fail with many people and create good systems in order to get it done.
Fail with many people to create good systems. Okay. So this, I'll wait for an assistant and then I'm going to work on the warm leads list. Like we said, in turn, the uploads. Um, and do that, and I'm gonna work on that first.
So guys, I'm just curious to know, if you guys are watching this, did you get value from it? And if yes, what did you enjoy? And in the meantime, what I would love to do is give you guys a little rhythm that I created. Here's a little rhythm. Do you hear it?
Not yet, no.
Oh, there's no music? Oh, I have to put on the— I have to enable it on my device. Here we go. You ready?
So sick.
Uh, can you hear it now? Yeah, it's the J-O-E here on LinkedIn Live. If you give me a comment, I'll make you thrive. Let me see what you got. This is AI. AI is building this thing in them. Like, it's just incredible. It's incredible what AI is doing. Yo, bring it. Long vocals, not BS. Energy for him. Bring it down, baby. Bring it down.
Huh?
It's time to celebrate. Let the music shout. Put your costumes on. Let's go out. You with me? On the dance floor. Gonna be a party. Ayo, we Isn't that great? Isn't it like so much fun that you can generate music for, for videos, for ads, for even potential clients? One of the things, Margo, that I just did was I created a song for a company that just became a client, and I want him to refer me and start working deeper with his company. So they only spent a few thousand dollars, but I want them to be a $100,000 client. And I created a song and he said, hey, can you add my president, my director, my senior vice president, my business development guy into the song and I'll send it to all of them. And then maybe we'll do a training session on how they can do this for their clients. And I sent it to him and his mind was blown. He's like, hey, I'm actually going to a meeting with a guy that has 25 nursing homes. Could you make us a song? And then maybe, and then maybe what we'll do is we'll bring you in to speak to all the CEOs that own $200 million companies, and I made him a song, and he sent it to them, and they were just like, their minds are just opened up and blown out. They're like, oh my God, I can't believe you made a song for us. Guy owns like 6 ShopRites, and like, it just, it's just amazing to see.
Oh, come give me all your tech.
What?
Yeah, exactly.
My point is, my point is using AI can be so helpful. So if you guys watching this and you want to learn more about our AI Business Development Circle, We're doing it. The next one we're doing is April 15th, on Monday, April 15th. It's going to be three hours. We're going to meet together, and we're going to go deep on how to use all types of artificial intelligence for business development. And if you want the tutorial, we have it inside our course. So we have an AI course available for anyone that just wants to buy the AI course. But if you get the business development circle, you get the course with it. So if you guys want to learn how to do things like that, then definitely.
All right.
Thank you so much. Enjoy the soda.
Thank you.
All right, bye.
Bye, everyone.
All right, so as you guys see, we build— building relationships and meeting people and going deep with people and getting to know people, that's really the key. The key is not just spraying and praying. I actually take the time to connect with each person and get to know them and build a relationship. And so many people are just not doing that. They're not really getting to know their connections. They're not really building meaningful relationships. And so I'm curious to know from you, do you want to build real relationships or do you wanna just do marketing and be spraying and praying? Do you wanna actually connect and get to know people or you're really just not into that? How much time should be given each day? Uh, my, my recommendation is 15 minutes a day, Jason. It depends on what your role is. Um, Depends on what your role is, Jason. So if your role is business development and marketing, then I would say you probably spend more time, probably an hour or 2 hours a day on that. But if your role is basically CEO, like in your case, I know that you're the Sound Advice consulting service that you have. And I see that you're coming in from Facebook. Right now. I'm gonna pull up your company. I'm gonna pull you up on LinkedIn right now, Jason. Um, and I see you have 25,000 followers. Jason, it would be a game changer for you to have this type of software. I'm gonna send you a message on LinkedIn right now. I see you saw me on Facebook. I'm gonna send you a message on LinkedIn, um, just to kind of connect with you. But this is, this is really a game changer if you like think about The relationships that you can build, the depth that you can go with people and getting to know them. I'm just so grateful that I'm, that I'm able to do that. So thank you for being in my life, Jason, and everybody else watching. I appreciate you guys very much. Have a happy Purim, and I'm gonna go chill. I'm gonna go chill now on this beautiful Sunday.
