Connections Dashboard with evyAI.com

Joe Apfelbaum demos a Google Sheets dashboard that pulls your LinkedIn network data, then uses Gemini's AI formula to auto-generate personalized InMail messages for each contact. He also shows how to create posts with evyAI's image generator and manage LinkedIn's limits: 400 connection requests and 50-800 InMails per month.

is so that you know, like, the idea behind the whole connections dashboard. So this, this dashboard has everybody's first name, last name, company name, where they work, when you connected on, and an AI research thing over here that you can do.
Cool.
What you want to do is you want to use the filter option. If you go to data, create a filter, and then you use the filter option, what you want to do is you want to type in sales director or something like that. Then you press select all and you press okay. And you can see how many you have. You don't really have that many. You only have 38. You see that? You only have 38. So, but these are 38 good, good people that you can build a relationship with. And you can find out if they know somebody. So that's a lot of people. So what I would do is for each of these people, I would save them into Evy AI.
Mm-hmm.
I would analyze their profile, see if they're really a sales director, then save them into Evy AI. So for example, this—
Into a list, like a—
Yeah.
Create a list.
Into a list. And then I would do AI research on them. You don't have to pay for any tools yet. I would do AI research. A lot of them you're already connected to, so you can check. You could see where their birthday is. You can see in their about section to see if they have a whatchamacallit, see if they have their contact information clearly, but you're connected directly to them, so you're gonna see more about them than I can see about them. I'm going to type in sales director here. Sales director. I'm going to press enter. And these are sales directors. I'm going to press save. And then what you want to do is you want to create a custom message for each one of these sales directors that speaks directly to them based on where they work.
Gotcha.
So you can use, within this dashboard, what you can actually do is you can add a new column. I'm gonna call it, I'm gonna add a new column right over here. Add new column, right? I'm gonna call this outreach DM. And then I would do AI and I would do equals. And let's see, I'm gonna do equals AI. And then I would say something like read the name, um, title, And position and make them an InMail, a message that I can send to them, that I can send to them, that is offering a new position and mention if they are happy at their company and if they want to discuss a new position or if they know someone. Build curiosity and make it so they think they are the only one being messaged. Okay. And then Okay. Okay. So that would be— looks like we have an error here. I think we need to quote this. New position message, quote this, and then comma. And then what we need to do is tell it what other fields it needs to look at. So we're going to do a field. Joe, just FYI, we have a call with Jeffrey Gross. On high energy Zoom. Is he there? I'm going to look. Go there and let me know if he's there.
Yeah.
Yeah, thank you. Um, okay, so I'm gonna press enter. Oh, and you could also write when you connected with him on, you see?
Oh, okay.
And you could add that to the prompt, but you can mess with the prompt after. Um, for some reason it's giving me an error, but that's basically the idea. You can ask AI how to make this AI thing and it'll actually write the whole message. Like, I, I actually did this on my profile.
No kidding.
And this worked really well. And, um, because Gemini now allows you to do that. Let me just see where, where I did this.
So you have AI write a prompt?
AI, yeah.
For the outreach?
For the outreach. And then you just drag it down and it'll write, it'll write a separate message for each person.
Oh, nice. Yeah.
You get to find out what the actual formula is, but that's basically the idea. And then you basically just select the cells that it needs to look at. And then it'll just go ahead and do that. But you have the prompt, you basically have the prompt here. It's just a broken prompt.
Nice.
You have to tell it which, which columns to look at. Um, and then you're done. I'm not— you might have to like parentheses this or something. Okay. It's still erroring out. Um, I'm gonna say, what is wrong with this?
It says parse error.
Yeah. I'm gonna go to Gemini. I'm gonna say fix this. Formula for Google Sheets, and I have to actually give it the formula. Let's just see what it does here. Let me see if the person joined my meeting. He's not there. Thank you. Let me know if he joins. Okay, let's just see. Fix this formula for Google Sheets. Let's see if Gemini is like, what the heck? Comprehensive of the user. GPT instead of Gemini instead of AI. Gemini. No. No. Look into the equals AI thing that Google Sheets just created this week. It doesn't even know.
Like, this is new.
Yeah, they just created it. This is brand new. That's why I'm excited about the showing is like, oh my God, this is crazy.
This is a way to enrich. I mean, this is a way to use the dashboard even more.
Exactly. That's why I'm so excited. Okay. So here, so here we go. All right. My apologies. I'm now looking into the recent integrations, clarifying my focus, adopting new tools, revising the strategy. Okay, all right, here we go. Let's just see if that works. Ta-da! Ta-da-da-da! All right, enter. Oh, it's doing it.
Ah!
Den-den-den-den-den-den. Okay, now.
And that's in the one you shared with me, right?
Yeah. That's well.
Yep, I can see it. It says I'm still learning on mine.
Yeah, I don't know what it's doing there.
Let me let me update it. Let's see.
Well, I don't know what's going on with it. Um, keep the cells at the end and put the prompt at the beginning because it's not working the way you did it. Let's just see. Let's see if it'll fix it, because the way it did it, it put the cells in the things. It can't have the prompt and the cells in the prompt, you know what I mean? It needs to be separate. And I reformulated.
Yeah, now this, this process works great, Joe, for the people that I know. The trick's going to be, and these people are probably, there may be a handful of them that are great candidates. The rest of them are going to be like referral partners. What I'm going to be doing as well is just trying to find people out there who I'm not connected with who could be potential candidates.
100%. 100%. Let me just see if this thing, if this poppy works.
And then what I'm trying to do is connect with them. And then once I connect with them, I can send the message. If I don't, I just send them an InMail, right? I use up one of my InMails.
Yeah. Or you could use Evie AI to kind of do this. Oh, there we go. We did it. It did it. You see that? Hang on a second. I'm going to go here. I'm going to do wrapping.
It's showing on mine too.
Okay. So now what you do is let me just, let me add a, I'm going to insert a column on the right just because it's, it's, you know.
So you grab that lower right-hand corner and like an Excel and you drag it all the way.
You can only do like 200 rows at a time before it errors out. So I wouldn't do it. Yeah. But we only have 37, but do you see the way it wrote a message for each person in seconds? That's the benefit of this connection dashboard. Now, now you're writing— it basically pulls everybody's company, you see?
Sweet.
It's pulling in all the data. Now you can fix that, fix this and say right when we connected on and all that other jazz.
Right, if I wanted to.
Yeah. Yeah, and you could add so much more, but you got to read them all. Exactly. You don't have to manually because it knows when you connected on it. The connected on date is right here. You know, you can say we've been connecting since 2018, 2009, you know, Blah, blah, blah. And I'd love to, you know, and then we could also do some other AI research on them by clicking on this AI research tab right over here. And this will pull all the research that you need. You can gather all the information, put it into another cell, and then you can create content inside the Connections dashboard for that person based on the research you found. Like you can add the conversation starters and all the other jazz from Heavy AI.
Right. Holy smokes.
All these right over here, you see? I saw you helped a fundraising effort. So you just pop these into the cells and then you can do whatever you want with it later.
Nice.
But that's cool. Look how much information it gave you.
That's amazing. That is amazing.
But for people, I would say start with that. And for people that you're not connected to, it's such low-hanging fruit to do the people that you're connected to. It's like stupid to even go for the people you're not connected to. You have so many. I would start with that. For the people that you're not connected to, I would just craft an InMail to them and just say, hey, make it really short and to the point. I just have a new opportunity. It's $500,000 for blah, blah, blah. If you're interested, let me know if you're interested or you know someone that's interested. That's all. Very short. Most recruiters keep it wrong because it's too long. You like one sentence. They just have to hit yes or no on it. They might just hit not interested, but your goal is to send it out to 800 people.
Right.
And we'll do a session next week where I'll show you how we do it to 800 InMails. If you wanna do it separately, we can do a separate session on that, on how to send 800 InMails. But you should be able to send 800 InMails with Sales Navigator. The problem is it's gonna max out your Sales Navigator. You're not gonna be able to use it anymore.
I know, yeah, I don't wanna do that.
Maybe you wanna do it a little more meticulous and say, okay, let me build a proper list and do it less. Also, you have the ability to send out 400 connection requests per month. So I would max out your connection requests on those people and the connection request message. should be, hey, I have an opportunity to make $500K a year for a salaried position. If you're interested, let me know. Yeah. I'm just saying, but I would just say salary position plus equity. If you're interested, let me know. But remember the first 5 words in the connection note is what really is going to matter.
So it has to grab their attention.
Yeah. Looks like my team is telling me to move on to the next meeting, but was this helpful for you?
Yeah, it was, Joe. And I, and I'll also sort that dashboard by other titles besides sales director, like VP of sales, whatever.
Or sales, just put in sales. I just did sales director to be specific, But you can do sales, you can do a CMO, CRO, you can do revenue, you can do director, you can do VP. Anyone that's in director, VP, or anything can say, hey, do you know anyone in sales? So that would be the message to those people. You have a— I would just focus on your connections. I would just literally go through your connections, focus on them.
And message them.
Send out those 400 connection requests and then send out at least 50 InMails. I would, you know, I would try to do more than 50, but, um, but the priority is if you haven't messaged your connections, that's gonna be key. The other thing is you can put up a post on LinkedIn and then boost it. Do you have boosting ability yet?
Yes, I do. Yes.
So what I would do is I would put $100 behind the— I would literally write a post, make the image. It says seeking— oh, a billboard image. Do you know how to create a billboard image with Evvy AI?
Oh yeah, like with that little image thing you—
I'll share again. Yeah, so if you go to evviai.com/images, Yes. I would go here and just make a billboard image real quick. It'll just take you 2 minutes to do like this. Yeah, I would say, um, $500K per, per year, sales director needed ASAP. Okay, $500K per year salary. Something like that. $500K per year salary, sales director needed ASAP. Um, you know, I will Ctrl+C. You copy that, you can paste it in here. Uh, I would do 24 here. I would do middle. You could also drag and drop. You see the way I'm dragging and dropping over here? You could also twirl it just a little bit like that. You see? And then you go like that. Uh, I don't know, maybe just a little more this way. I would do that.
And I would just take the word salary out, Joe, because, uh, it's actually $250K salary.
Doesn't matter, whatever. You could just take out the word salary, that's fine. You could just $255K per year plus—
The whole idea is it's a nice billboard visual that people see.
Yeah, and then it can get detailed. $500K per year plus equity. So you just, you kind of save that. And then you go to linkedin.com and you just post this, make this your VIP post.
Right.
And say, who do you know? And you just go like that, $500K for equity ASAP.
Right.
And you just say, you know—
And then anybody who sees it, yeah. Nice.
And I'm just gonna hit post. Watch this. You ready?
Yeah.
That's it. I just posted it. So now you go repost it. So if I wanna boost this, how do you boost it? You go to your profile, you scroll down to where it says show all posts. And then you click on boost.
Yep.
And then I'm gonna look for impressions. So this is what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna go here. I'm gonna put $20. I'm gonna do 2 days, $20. And then I'm gonna pick my audience. My audience will be CROs and sales directors. I already have the audience. You can make one yourself if you want. And then you click on boost. And then it says, okay, we're reviewing your post. And I just boosted it. So I just spent $20 boosting this, but who cares, right? Like, whatever, it's $20.
Right.
I just boosted it. You can repost it as well. You can also click on these 3 dots, grab the link, send it to people. But anyone that puts— anyone that mentions somebody here, this post needs to go viral, right? It's really short, to the point. See who wants the job and Tag them in the comments. That's it. Simple as that. Now what I can do is I can go to my own post. I can go to my own— whatchamacallit. So this is my connections dashboard. Let me grab my connections dashboard, bring it here so you can see it. Can you see it? I'll do the same thing here. I'll click on position. I'll click on, uh, data, click create a filter, go here, check this out. I'm going to go here. I'm going to type in Sales director. I'm gonna click on select all. Now I have— how many do I have? I have 87. So I'm gonna go here, take these 87 people, copy. The problem is I can't do 87 mentions.
Ah.
Right? So I'm gonna do 30 at a time.
Oh, I see what you're saying. Oh, and mention them in the—
In the comments myself. So I'm gonna go here. So I'm gonna copy all these names at one time. So watch this. Copy all the names, go to the comments over here, paste it. Now if I pasted it, it came out like shit. So, right, I'm gonna hit Ctrl+Shift+V. It came out nice. And then I just press the@ sign by each name and click. I go like this,@ sign, and then click.@ sign, and then click.@ sign, and then click. You see? Nice. You see the way I'm, I'm doing this? Yes.
Yes.
So now I'm, I'm, I'm about to mention these 30 people. I'll mention, and then I'll do another comment with the other 30, the other 30, that'll get me to 60. And then I'll do another comment with the other 20 or whatever, and that'll get me to 80. And I'll tag all the people on this post, all the sales directors on this post for you.
What, what a great, uh, what a great way to get the word out quickly. And they'll all get a little notification that they were tagged.
Exactly. And the beauty is anytime I ever have anything I need to tag sales directors on, now I can use the You have a mention saver.
Yes.
Once I mention them one time, I have the mention saver, so I could always mention them in the future. And then I'm also gonna DM every single one of these too, so it'll be really fast for me to DM them once I have them mentioned here. I could always click on their profile. Also, you can go ahead and connect with all these and, and, right, and DM them as well. And you can take all the Evie AI people and have them do the same exact thing that I just did. and tag all their sales directors super, super quick. They don't have to like sit there and wait, like, oh my God. So you have a one-on-one with Evan Messman and say, hey, let me see your dashboard. Can you filter for this? Do this, paste this. You just show them what to do and you have one-on-ones with people. And then before you know it, I just mentioned 30 people here. You see that?
Next thing you know, there's a million people that know about this.
Or more, or more than a million.
More than a million, shake his up.
Yeah, maybe 20 million people or 100 million people will know about this because, you know, like we're, We're, we're going crazy over here. We're, we're, um, you know, we're, we're not, we're not playing games with this, you know. No, we're not playing games. Ctrl+Shift+V. I'm gonna do the same thing.
Ctrl+Shift+V, that's the trick.
Okay, so I'm gonna go ahead and do this. But do you see it's not taking me 2 hours to do this? I'm just— No, it's not. I press the @, I press the, um, I press Home, and then I press End. I click at the end, I press Home, I put the@ sign. Oop. I don't know what I did over there. I put the@ sign and I press and I click on his name. Now, the other way to do that is if I wanted, I could have popped in Excel and just add the@ sign across the board and that would add the@ sign, but that would, that might break LinkedIn if I put all the @s at the same time. Right. Um, but technically speaking, I can add all the @s in advance inside LinkedIn. Inside Excel.
I see what you're saying. Okay.
You just add a column before with the@, but then, you know, it'll be just a drop faster than having to do the@.
Joe, don't let me keep you from your other meeting. No, it's okay.
Jen just rescheduled it. It's fine. But that's— but that's the— this is the way to do this so that, you know, will some people get upset about this? Maybe, you know, like some people might get upset, but I'm trying to help people out.
Right.
I'm trying to help you out as my VIP, making a difference for you. And this is, you know, if I help you land— if I help you land the right person for this, you will make so much money and you'll help other people make so much money.
Yes.
And everyone will be like, okay, what, what, like, what is going on here? Is Joe a recruiter now? Like, what's he doing? But it doesn't really matter because my goal is not for people to wonder what people think about me. My goal is to just help my clients. And you're my client and I want to help you.
So, uh, and Joe, these guys already told me, um, we do a good job here. There's probably— we may be able to work on their Western division, same exact job in the West. Wow. This may turn into 2 or 3 other projects about the same size, which would be amazing.
Wow. That would, that would be a game changer for you completely. Total game changer. And I'm glad that you're using Evvy AI to help you be able to land deals like this.
Oh yeah. Yeah, absolutely. And so you know you said you were going to help me make another 100K this year.
This is going to do it. Oh man, hopefully way more than 100K. But yes, oh yeah, this one little thing is is the is the path to 100K. Just so you know. Yes, dear. Just FYI, Ryan is in high energy zoo. Okay, tell him I already approved the. He said he finished all the videos you've created, so he need more. Uh, so I tell him I just added 2 today. Tell him to double-check that, and I'm gonna add, um, quite a bit more. But ask him if he saw the 2 I just added today.
Yeah, he's finishing up.
No, no, I just added it like a few minutes ago. Oh, okay. Give me one second. I just added 2 a few minutes ago, and tell him I'm gonna add more as soon as I get off the phone with Rick.
Okay.
Um, tell him to hang out there. I'll be right back. And tell him to see the video I sent him in WhatsApp. I sent him a, um, An album to look at. Okay, not everybody's mentionable. So if they're not mentionable, they're not mentionable.
Is that a setting on their LinkedIn?
Yeah, like this person over here. Click on his name and it's not mentionable, which is fine. Gotcha. That's fine. But you could still find them on LinkedIn and connect with them and build a relationship with them. But do you see?
Yes. But now anybody who responds to this post, I'll be all over it like white on rice.
Exactly. And the ad's currently being reviewed, so I don't know if it'll get approved as an ad, but let's just, let's just see what happens. I just tagged 87 people on this post, so, you know, let's just see where it goes.
Nice.
Now what I could also do is I can copy all these people, tag them separately. I can also tag them on your post now really easy by clicking on the@ sign, hitting edit, copy, and paste them into your post. So once you do your post, Your post could be a little different than mine. But you can also have a post like this that says something different. But you know, whatever your style is in doing it, right, put your style. And then we'll see what happens. We'll see how many people get to see that.
No, that's awesome. That's awesome.
And the beauty is, the beauty is, it's just so powerful. So powerful.
I mean, the multiplication. Well, you know, I used to do all this in the old days. I used to do everything via like text and email, mostly email. But people, you know, their inboxes are getting inundated. Now, not everybody on that that we've tagged may be super active on LinkedIn, but now that I know who they are, I can go find out who they are, reach out to them directly. I have no problem picking up the phone, calling people, leaving a quick message.
That's the idea. And, and if you get stuck with anything, use AI research. That's a powerful way for you to be able to get through to people. It's, you know, really, really powerful.
Oh yeah.
Um, with every AI.
Yeah. Thanks so much, my friend.
