Hey, congratulations. Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the first step to downloading the goal setting framework and getting your goals done this year. My name is Joe Apfelbaum and I'm the CEO of Ajax Union. And I want to walk you through the 5 steps to making sure you actually achieve your goals. But first, let me tell you a little bit about me. I am the CEO of Ajax Union, a digital marketing agency in Brooklyn, New York. And when I started my company, I had a simple goal. I wanted to grow a business to $1 million in revenue. And when I got to $1 million, I said, I'm gonna get to $2 million. And I set another goal. And when I got to $2 million, I wanted to double again. And before you knew it, I was on the top of the Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest-growing companies in America. Then I realized I was majorly overweight, so I set a goal to lose weight. And I lost 95 pounds over the past couple years, and I kept it off. So I started setting more goals, and before you know it, I've achieved some amazing things in my life. I went from being really shy to becoming a public speaker, a certified Google trainer, and training over 10,000 business owners. And I use this very specific goal-setting framework that I'm going to show you right here, and I'm going to teach you exactly how to use it. So if you downloaded this, this is what the infographic looks like. So step number 1, name your goal. Step number 2, set a deadline. Step number 3, brainstorm a list. Step number 4, organize steps. And step number 5, take daily action. So I'm going to show you exactly how to fill it out. So the first step is name your goal. There's so many people out there that set goals with vague names that are not inspiring, and those goals are not SMART. In other words, they're not specific, they're not measurable, they're not attainable, they're not relevant, and they're definitely not time-bound. So you want to make sure that your goal is SMART, it has a really good name, Should be something positive and motivating. So what are you going to call your goal? Second step is set a deadline. Decide on a realistic deadline for this goal. It needs to be a definite date in your calendar that you could measure against to know if you're actually going to hit it, and that's when it really becomes real. Then in order to get your goal done, you got to first brainstorm a list of everything that you need, everything that you could think of. Maybe you want to do a mind map to put this all together, or you just want to write a list down. But don't worry about the order of the list. Just create a list of everything that you'll need to get the goal complete. Include the names of anyone that could help you. Think about what books you can read, where you need to travel to, what you need to buy, how much it'll cost you, who can support you. Literally write everything you can think of regarding this goal. Then after you do that, it's time to organize steps. What's the first step What's the first sequential step that you need to take in order for you to move closer to getting your goal done? Then what's the second step? What's the third step? Write down the first few steps. And then the last thing is step number 5 is make sure you take action every single day. Take action today. Don't put it off till tomorrow. You can start today, whether it means read one page of a book or do something that will allow you to get started. And what are you going to do tomorrow? What are you going to do on Monday? What are you going to do on Tuesday, on Wednesday, on Thursday? Every single day you need to take a small action towards your goal. Put it in the beginning of the day, and this way your most important goal will get done. Here's 2 more tips. Number one, get an accountability partner. Find one person in the world that you can write their name on this goal framework, and you can share this goal framework with them after you sign it. And also find a mentor. That's a person who already got what you have. If you're trying to grow a business to a certain level, find somebody that Has grown their business to that level and write their name here. If you're trying to build the relationship of your dreams, find somebody that built the relationship of their dreams, put their name here. Somebody you want to try to get healthier, find somebody that got healthier, put their name here, put your accountability name here and sign it. And that way you'll be able to get those levels of success. So hopefully you downloaded this and you found this useful. Now let me show you, this is just a small part of setting goals. Let me show you. Where you are right now on the path of success. Now, a lot of people, when they're setting goals, they're right here. They just plan, they write down their goals, but they never actually accomplish their goals. They always fall back down to the bottom, and then they start again, and they have their dreams, their perspective, their magnify, and they never really get to the top because they're missing the last step, which is performing schedule, focus, and accountability. But more importantly, even if they try to schedule and focus, they still don't have that accountability because they're missing values, issues, and visions. They don't understand their values. They don't understand their issues. They don't understand their vision, which includes your strengths, passions, agreements, experiences, opportunities, frustrations, commitments, ideal day. And they don't get their why. They don't have a strong purpose.
