Hello and welcome to my first edition of High Energy Secrets. So today I'm gonna be talking about the book that I've been writing for the past couple weeks, and I've been getting up early in the morning. Right now it's 4:25 AM, and I've been writing this book called High Energy Secrets, and it's how I lost 90 pounds, kept it off, and have higher energy levels than ever. And so I'm gonna read you the beginning of this, and you let me know what you think. The reason why I want to write a book, the reason I want to write a book is because people are asking me, Joe, how do you have all this energy? Energy to run a multimillion-dollar business, energy to manage your family life, and still have energy to write a book, coach entrepreneurs, and take their lives to the next level. I remember when I would work 16 hours a day and my energy was really low most of the day. I did not understand why. I always, I would always search for the answer. And I knew when I drank Snapple, I felt better, but within an hour, I would crash again. I tried smoking and eating anything that would change my state without having me to put too much effort into it. In my mind, exercise was not an option because I would— did not have the time, and I was— and it was hard work. Salads were for ladies and veggies were for wimps. This was my mindset. I wanted to enjoy real food like steak and burgers, French fries, fried chicken. And I didn't know where I got that mindset, and I had no idea where I got that mindset because I wasn't a lazy person. I wasn't a slob that stuffed my face. I realize now that I was missing awareness, strategy, and accountability— 3 key things. And this is the reason why I'm writing this book, so that I could help a few people out there that want to get higher levels of energy. At the time that I'm writing this book, it's 5:38 AM, and I'm getting ready to have an amazing day. Right in front of me, I have a tall glass of water. Yeah. And I have my exercise gear ready to go for a nice 3-mile run in 60-degree weather here in Brooklyn, New York. My life has changed dramatically over the past few years. I went from being tired, lethargic, majorly overweight to a person who's happier, has more energy, and feels good about his mind and body. I can't remember the last time I got a cold or sick because I understand why people get sick and how to prevent those feelings in my body. My goal is to keep this book under 90 pages so I can read this book over the course of a weekend. And I'm going to see if I can do read one page every 90 days. I'm not a big fan of fluff, so I'll be providing you with practical tips that you can use right away. So let's get into the table of contents real quick, and then I'm going to stop the video and you tell me if you like this or if you want to see a sample chapter. So here you go. Table of contents: how I got started on the journey to lose 90 pounds, the high-energy mindset. Understanding how to set health goals. Having a good reason to be healthy. Why a goal? Why set a goal if you don't understand why you want to set a goal? The way that I look at water and how it changed my energy levels forever. Five foods that are making you fat and keeping you fat. Seven daily reminders that I think about every day. Why movement is so important and how to get going every day. What goes into my green smoothie every morning? The secret to apple cider vinegar. My mother taught me that I was a night person. Now I'm an early bird. The amazing morning routine that doubles my energy. How I used to smoke a pack a day and stop smoking forever. How to break through plateaus and get unstuck. Enjoying all the things you want to eat. Understanding habits. How to share your journey with those you love without making them feel bad. How to read nutrition facts on things you buy in the store. What intermittent fat and fasting does to your body. Let me refresh this, see if there's any more chapters here. Yep. What intermittent fasting does to your body. Milk, it does not do a body good. Eating before you go to sleep, why it's a bad idea. High-energy snacks that I enjoy eating guilt-free. The vitamins that I take every day. Uh, becoming more present in your day-to-day interactions. Stress is the number one energy depleter. How to kill stress in 10 seconds. 25 things you should keep around your house that'll make you healthier. And books that have helped me along my journey. And then last one, how to keep up a healthy lifestyle forever. And hopefully I get up to 90 pages and I wrap this rocket, this thing up and I'm done. So I, how many pages did I write? I do this. I wrote so far 17,000 words, 80 pages. I might kill some of the chapters. Tell me which chapters you think I should keep, which chapters you think I should kill. Thank you very much for being part of this and for allowing me to share my journey with you. So hopefully you'll comment and let me know what you think. Talk soon.
