How to get clients from Linkedin with evyAI

Joe Apfelbaum demonstrates evyAI, a directory tool that manages 200+ cruise attendees by pulling LinkedIn profiles, emails, and phone numbers, then tags them as prospects or partners. He shows how to generate AI introductions, push contacts to GoHighLevel, and send outreach across LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Facebook, and phone.

Okay, so here's what I wanna do. I want to stay top of mind with my ideal clients. So the first thing I did was I vibe coded an application that allows me to be able to take everybody that was on the cruise that I know. So I'm gonna click this little button here and I'm gonna click on show me only people that I actually know. And it filtered only for the people that I know. So here's a little filter over here. There's 119 people out of the 200 people that I actually know that were on the cruise. And what I'm going to do now is I'm going to click on each person and go through them one at a time. So I can click on the side arrow here and I can look at each person and find them online. Now, for example, for this guy, Alexei, I see I don't have his LinkedIn profile here. So I'm going to click on this little search button and it's going to find him on LinkedIn. Then I'm going to grab his LinkedIn profile right from here. And then I'm going to click on the edit button right here, and I'm going to paste his LinkedIn profile here and save it so I have it on record. So now I have his LinkedIn profile on record. I can easily save this LinkedIn profile into Evvy AI, and I'm going to save it into Evvy AI into 2026, 2026 over here. I don't know why. 2026. Marketers Cruise, hit save. And now I just saved him into 2026 Marketers Cruise. Um, it looks like he hasn't posted on LinkedIn or anything, which is totally fine. Uh, I'm going to open it up over here, save his recent activity. Now I'm going to grab his email from the directory, which is right over here, and I'm going to put it into Evvy AI. So you can see I saved his email, um, into Evvy AI. I'm also gonna save his recent activity link here. I'm also gonna tag him as a prospect. So I'm gonna click prospect. I'm also gonna tag him as a JV partner 'cause he wants to refer business to me. So you see the way I quickly just tagged him? If I wanna write an intro about him, I could press generate introduction. It'll go ahead and generate an intro about him. And now I have a little introduction. I'd like to introduce you to Alexi, founder of One Relationship Away, a connection magician who helps entrepreneurs create strategic wealth by turning relationships into real business. He started a multi— he started a scaled multi-five, six, and seven-figure companies. Now he works as a growth consultant and business turnaround coach. Okay, so now what I'm going to do is I'm going to look for him on WhatsApp, okay? And I'm going to say What do you think of this intro? What do you think of this intro? Okay, and now what I'm going to also do is I'm going to grab his cell phone number and I'm going to save it into the directory so that I have his cell phone number front and center for me in the directory if I want to call him. I'm also going to save his cell phone number into Evie AI so I have his number front and center. Press save, X, and now I have Alexei's information all organized here perfectly for me. The next thing I'm going to do is go to the next person. So I have Amanda James over here. So Amanda James is kind of chatting with me right now on WhatsApp. We're kind of going back and forth here. Um, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to grab her information from WhatsApp. I'm going to copy it into here. I'm going to add her info here just like this. Press save. I see she's also on LinkedIn. So I'm going to visit her LinkedIn profile to see if the Amanda James has recently posted on LinkedIn. I see she has not. I'm going to press 2026 here. I'm going to press save. She has 200 followers on LinkedIn. Oh, she did post 13 hours ago, which is really nice. I think I could really help her because it doesn't look like she's posting properly. So I'm going to reach out to her. We're already chatting, but I'm going to tag her in this post here. And then I'm going to label her as a prospect. She is actually a client already because she bought something from Alex, but I'm just going to tag her as a prospect, a client, and networking. Okay. So I tagged her as all 3. I can later filter for these specific things. I can find those people easily. I'm also going to grab her photo. So I'm going to grab her photo from LinkedIn. So I'm going to see her photo right here on LinkedIn. I'm going to copy her photo, press copy image, actually press copy image URL. And then I'm going to go in here, grab photo URL, paste it in here, press save. And now her photo is available here, even though it wasn't working before. Now it's working really, really nice. Okay, good. I'm going to X out of this. Now, as you can see, I'm going through these methodically one person at a time and building those relationships and connecting with people, saving them also. Into Evie AI. I'm going to press copy email. I'm going to press copy cell phone number, saving them into Evie AI all organized so that I could look up her content later. I can also push her into GoHighLevel with a click of a button right over here. Again, saving me a ton of time. And I completely vibe coded this directory. And the reason I vibe coded is because I want to work with my developer to integrate this type of directory into Evvy AI. And so I first create it myself. So look at Amy. Me and Amy definitely had a conversation. We did networking together. I don't know if she's a prospect or anything, but I'm certainly going to look her up to see if she is in WhatsApp here. Uh, let's see, Amy Lemire. Yeah, I don't see if she's in WhatsApp or not. I'm going to look her up on LinkedIn. Check out her profile. Wow, she has 8,000 followers on LinkedIn. Very impressive. I'm going to put her in for the 2026 Marketers Cruise, save it right over here, just like that. I'm going to see if she posted recently on LinkedIn. It looks like she posted 17 hours ago. Great. Nobody commented on her post. Even better. I'm going to be the only one that leaves a comment on Amy's post. I'm going to go ahead and write a comment on her post. I'm also going to tag her on the post. Just like this by pressing the@ sign, clicking on it, deleting her designations and say you hit on something so powerful here. Boom, boom, boom. Just like that. And, um, I, if I wanna send her a connection request, I can easily click on this, click on connect. I click on add a note. Um, I can have Evvy AI, I can let Evvy AI know, hey, we met at the Marketers Cruise, let's connect. And then I press generate. And what Evvy AI is gonna do is it's gonna write a Simple post that says, great meeting at the Marketers Cruise. Let's connect.
Okay.
So I just sent her a connection request. I want to delete some Amys that I'm connected to right now. So while I'm at it, I may as well delete a couple of Amys. So I'm going to go ahead and do that. I'm going to delete some Amys. I watched a couple of minutes. My phone is 6%. Yes. You can watch replay. Okay, so I'm going to go into here, connections. I'm going to search for all my Amys. While I'm searching for Amys, I'm also going to customize my first name hack to be Amy, and I'm going to invite all these Amys here to this, um, to this event I'm doing. So I want to, I want to invite all the Amys I have. How many Amys do I have? Let's see. Okay, so I have all these Amys here, so I'm going to go ahead and invite these Amys now. Some Amys I've been messaging for quite some time and they haven't been responding to me, which is totally fine. I'm just going to remove some of these Amys from here. Like for example, this one over here, she hasn't really been responding to me. So I'm just going to kind of remove her. If I message somebody a lot, this one has responded to me. So I'm just going to keep her for now. But if I message someone a lot and they don't respond to me after me messaging them for quite some time, I am going to remove them. Amy Porterfield, I'll keep her 'cause she's a celebrity. But if somebody's kind of like, you know, I'm not really sure who they are, they're not really responsive to me, I will remove them. But as you can see, I am quickly sending messages to these people here that are all named Amy with a message. Hi Amy. Hi Amy. Hi Amy. And I'm inviting them to the event that we're having on February 18th. We're having an incredible event. I'm also looking at to see the conversation to see what we spoke about. Um, hey, thank you so much for the birthday message. I know LinkedIn helps us be predictive text. I turned 41. I'm getting older, blah, blah, blah. Okay. So she's definitely active. It says she's active right now. That means she's using LinkedIn as we speak. Okay. So this person's the CEO of this company. Amy, do you still use LinkedIn? She didn't respond to me, so I'm just gonna remove this Amy from LinkedIn. She clearly doesn't use it. I don't need her taking up space. This Amy also, I just emailed her, emailed, emailed, emailed. She's a mother of 5. Have a good day. Certified EOS implementer inventor. I'm getting rid of her. I listened to the message. Okay, good. Let's see this person here. Do you still use LinkedIn? I don't think this person uses LinkedIn anymore. I'm going to remove this person. Amy Chin, she does use LinkedIn. That's great. Amy Shields, do you still use LinkedIn? She has not responded to anything, so I am going to remove her. But the reason I send them a message first before I remove them is because if she does respond to my message, I'll be able to continue the conversation, maybe reconnect with them and so on. But if they don't respond to anything, look at that. Hey, do you have recommendations for companies that do explainer videos? Okay, so we went back and forth here. Amy DeLuca. Okay, Amy Liao. Uh, okay, so this person we connected back in 2017, but she hasn't responded to anything, so I'm gonna remove her. Amy Bliss. Joe, I use it all the time. Amazing. Amy Edwards. Let's see. Okay, we had a couple of back and forths with Amy Edwards. Amy Civica. Okay, Amy Civica. Okay, so we got a couple— we got like 5 Amys left. But do you see how quickly I was able to find all these people? You see this Amy over here from San Francisco? Um, this Amy here, we've been connected since 2019. I've been messaging her almost every year since 20 from God knows how long and she hasn't responded to anything. So I'm just gonna move her, move her from there, get rid of her. Um, I'm going to invite Amy Cho. I'm going to invite Amy Corsi. What did I say over here? Following on LinkedIn, commercial sales position at Winward. Okay. I'm going to remove her. All right, let's see. Her I'll keep because she's been messaging me. This person I will remove because she doesn't seem like she uses LinkedIn even. This person over here, she said thanks to me. I'm going to invite her and this person here, I'm going to invite them. Okay. All right. So do you see the way I kind of covered all the Amys? I removed a bunch. I requested a new one to join me. That's a very powerful way to Know what's cooking, know what's going on on the platform. I also like to see who's engaging with my content. So for example, this guy named Steve, he's a Fractal CMO. He's engaging with me here on the platform. I'm going to click here, click add a note. I'm going to have Evie AI write a note to him. I did not meet him at the grad. I'm going to say great to see you engage. Am I live? Okay, I'm gonna press send. I just sent Steve a connection request because he just liked my post. I see he reposted something from somebody else from the cyber FBI Cyber Division. He also reposted this, reposted this. He's not really posting. He's a founder of CMO of FCMO Partners, partnering with growth stage tech companies, drawing decades of B2B, B2G, blah blah blah blah blah. Okay, love that. I see he worked at— oh, he went to Yale. He seems like he has a lot of accolades, but he hasn't received a recommendation since 2014. Interesting. Okay. Yeah, this is definitely somebody that I'd like to connect to, have a conversation with him, see what he's up to and so on and so forth. So I sent him a connection request and see what happens. Okay, moving on. I'm gonna cancel this, close this out. Okay, so I kind of connected with Amy a little bit over here. I still am not sure what her cell phone number is, but it doesn't really matter. She'll connect with me. I'm going to look on Facebook to see if she messaged me at all. I'm going to click on messages. Oh, look at that. Looks like we went back. What's your schedule? I can talk on Sunday. What's your cell? Oh, here's her cell phone number. She just gave me her cell here. Amazing. Okay, so I'm going to grab her cell and I'm going to give her a buzz because she wants to talk. So I'm going to grab her cell, put it in here. Save. You see that? I'm also gonna open up her LinkedIn, go to profiles here. Let's see, Amy's right here. I'm gonna add her cell phone number into Evvy AI, plus I'm gonna save this, plus I'm gonna grab her email from right here, put it into Evvy AI just like that. So now I have her cell phone. She gave me times that she could talk on Sunday, so that's great. I'm gonna build a relationship.
Yes.
I'm going to also affiliate. Affiliate. I'm gonna click on the affiliate thing here and I'm gonna say boom, boom, I head out there. Okay, Vigil says, I caught a few minutes, really want to see the replay. My phone is 6%. Okay, catch the replay. Okay, moving on. All right, so I'm going to the next person now. Andrew. Andrew, my man Andrew. What up, Andrew? I'm gonna click on Facebook, see if me and Andrew are connected on Facebook. It looks like this is a Facebook page, but look at this phone number. He has a phone number right over here. I'm going to click here. Oh, Raj. Raj is interested. He said, yes, bro. Okay. So what I did was I'm going to click here. I'm going to say cruise. Okay. Marketers cruise, coming to the cruise, cruise WhatsApp. I'm going to do a new template. I'm going to say cruise.
Directory.
I'm going to call this Cruise. I'm going to say, here is the Marketer's Cruise directory I created. Please enjoy all the amazing features I added to it. If you want more features, let me know. I'll add more. Okay. I'm going to grab the Cruz Directory link from here, paste it in here. I'm going to press save. I'm going to press done. I'm going to go into Facebook, close Amy on Facebook, close Amy on LinkedIn, hover over Raj. I'm going to click. I'm gonna say sent. I'm sure I do, Joe. I hope you have a few sessions. Needs hands-on visual support. Okay, great. Talking to you today on Zoom. Okay, I'm gonna press go. I'm gonna hit Miriam. Send. Send.
Okay.
Um, you got it in the DM. Yeah, I'm gonna hover over Ellen. I'm gonna hit message. Okay, so this is what I— oh, I'm not, but I think it's a retreat from someone from last year's cruise told me about. Definitely want to hear how it was.
Okay.
All right. Alrighty, alrighty. So what I do is I ask people, hey, do you want this thing? Oh, did she send me confirm? She sent me a connection request on Facebook. I'm gonna send her a message. I'm gonna say sent. Okay, Judy Walsh wants it. Boom. I'm going to send Judy the info. I'm going to hover over Judy here and click on message. Did I already send it to her? Okay. Done. Done. Message. Send. Jen. Sent. Hover. Send. Boom. Rhonda. Hover. Send. Boom. Jen Perez, sent info. Hover, send, boom. Sent. Hover, send, boom.
Hover.
Okay. All right, so I just added all these people. Oh, let's see what this person says. Hey, thanks for contacting me, blah, blah, blah. Okay, great. Moving on. Close this out. Okay, I'm not gonna focus. Oh, this guy might be a good JV partner. So I'm gonna tag him as a JV partner and I'm gonna check him out on LinkedIn, see what he's up to. Andy Klepner. I'm gonna click message. Here is a marketer. Let me know what you think. Okay, then I'm going to click on contact info. I have a phone number here for Andy, 2026. I'm going to press save. I'm going to click on this profiles, Andy Klepner. Go here, save. Save, save, send him to GoHighLevel, go into GoHighLevel, call him. I'm going to do Andy Andrew. Kleppner, Kleppner, Kleppner, Andy Kleppner right here. Okay, call him.
Hi, if you record your name and reason for calling, I'll see if this person is available.
Hi, Andy. It's Joe Applebaum.
Thanks. Please stay on the line. Hello.

Absolutely. Where are you located again?
I'm near Kean University. Do you know where that is?
Um, yeah, I'm, uh, right now I'm in Lyndhurst, actually.
Oh, nice. You're not far from me.
Yeah, well, I'm visiting family, but we normally are all the way out on Route 78.
Oh, amazing.
Amazing.
Yeah, let's, let's connect sometime. You have my cell phone number. You should have my cell.
Well, now I have it. Okay. If this is the cell phone number that you're calling me from.

Oh yeah. I, uh, so I, on Sunday my flight was canceled. On Monday they had no flights. On Tuesday they wanted to put me on economy and I said no. And on Wednesday they finally put me on the last flight out. So I made it home on Thursday.
Oh my goodness. But we, uh, yeah, we, uh, we actually booked for Monday, uh, just because I didn't want to have to rush the plane and that worked out.
Yeah. I actually took a car and drove to San Diego and hung out at my sister's house in San Diego. So that worked out perfectly.
Very nice. Very nice.
Yeah.
Um, oh yeah, I see your phone number. Just the 917 number. Oh yeah, man, 917. I used to have one of those 20, 25 years ago. Geez, no, longer. Geez, now I feel old.

Yeah, call me anytime.
All right, you got it, buddy.
Bye, Andy.
Okay, bye.

Hi, this is Diana. How may I help you?
This is Joe Apfelbaum. I wanted to say that it was a pleasure meeting you on the cruise.
Oh, so cool. Thank you. It was really great meeting you too. I appreciate that. Yeah.
I made a cute little directory of all the people that were on the cruise, and I vibe coded it into this like directory that you can kind of go through. I thought you might find it helpful.
Oh, okay.
And you can see everyone's information. You can tag who you know, who you don't know, who's a JV partner, who's a prospect, who's a client. It kind of helps you organize everything, and then you can label it and save it to your cell phone for each person.
Wow.
Like a VCF file, you know what I mean? Like a business card file.
Wow. Yeah, you are freaking amazing, dude. I swear. I swear.
Yeah.
Oh, you're so kind.

But what happened was Yeah, what happened was LinkedIn would not accept it, would not, you know, do anything. So I haven't done anything with LinkedIn since then.
Yeah. So let's chat about it maybe later this week or whenever you're on the computer. I'm happy to kind of show you a couple of things.
Oh man, that'd be so cool. Yeah, I don't know whether I want to do— I think you advised I go back to premium, which would be fine. And actually right now, what I actually— I'd be 100— I'm always 100% honest, but I'll just say that Right now I'm working on my memoir, editing it, but I also, um, I'm working— all my clients finished, you know, recently, and then I, then I had a whole bunch of personal stuff, as you know. So, right?
Yeah, so let's touch base whenever you want. Just reply to my text. I sent you a text with the directory. Check it out and let me know when you want to talk. I also sent you a connection request on Facebook. If you want to connect, feel free.
I will. You are so kind. Thank you. Thank you so much. I will definitely do that.
We'll talk soon.
All right, thanks, Joe. All right, thanks so much for the call. All right, bye for now.
Bye, Diana. Okay, so that's that. Um, so that was just like an initial call, no pressure, you know, just connecting, just building the relationship and, and adding value. If you want to learn how to do this stuff, we're actually having a 2-hour strategy session on Wednesday where I walk people through exactly how
