How to Prospect with LinkedIn and get clients

Joe Apfelbaum shows how to build prospect lists on LinkedIn using Evvy AI, then turn them into outreach through AI-generated messages and comments. He demonstrates pulling contact details, enriching records, syncing to CRM, and using Boolean search and Google site queries to find profiles with Calendly links for instant meeting booking.

want to be prospecting is you need a good list. You need a good list. So what is a list combined of? A list is usually a list of companies that you want to target. Does everyone have a good list? Say, I have a good list, or I need a good list. Let me know in the chat if you have one or you need one. There are many ways to get a good list. If you have a good list, write, I have a good list. If you need a good list, write, I need a good list. So there are lots of different lists that you can get where your ideal clients are hanging out. For example, the Inc. 5000 list. Have you guys heard of the Inc. 5000 list? The 5,000 fastest growing companies in America. So that's a list that we prepare for our clients that sign up to the Bundle Plus every single year. We make that list available. I'll show you what the list looks like so that you can see. Can you guys see the list? This is the list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in America. I can filter the list by segments like recruiting and staffing companies. I can filter the list by if they were on the year 2, year 3, year 4, by industry, by state, by revenue, by headcount, by year growth. These are, this is a list. And if you click on any of these lists, you can see who works in any company. So if I, for example, go to bluebridgepeople.com, I can see the CEO's name, phone number, email address, how many followers he has on LinkedIn. And then I can click on this and it'll look through and see all the people that work at that company inside Evy AI. So on the left side of Evy AI, there's a home button, then there's recent activities, then there's the ability to create content like text, images, ideas, workflows. And then there's all your connections, and then there's prospects. In prospects, you're able to put in any domain name here, and you're able to see who works at those companies. So if you click on ask the Evvy AI agent on the top left corner, you can actually say, use web research and find me a list of recruiting companies in New Jersey that have more than 50 employees. Give me all their websites. Like their domain spelled out one at a time and make me a list of at least 10 recruiting companies. So if I press send, it's going to use web research to find me a list of recruiting companies in New Jersey. It'll give me their websites, it'll spell out their name, and it'll give me one at a time. And it'll make me a list of at least 10 recruiting companies. And when it has the list of the domain names, I can then search the domain names in prospects to see who works at those companies, but everyone should have at least a list of 10 companies they want to go after. Do you see the way it made me a list of all these companies? So if I want to see who works at these companies, this company specifically, I can right-click on prospects. I can say open in split view. So it opens up in 2 separate windows here, and then I can press search and it'll search one of these companies at a time. Do you see there's 5,499 people that work at this company? I'm gonna look at the next company right over here. Ctrl+C, copy this, put this in here, Ctrl+V. And it's gonna show me this company. This company, Artec, has 26,000 people that work at the company. So each one of you can easily use the AI agent that we have inside Evvy AI to use web research to find you a list of companies in your niche, in your target market. Now, you might not have a niche yet or a target market, and that's where the strategy comes in. At Evy AI, we meet twice a day to help our clients be able to figure out exactly who they need to be targeting so that you can build a list and you can prospect more effectively. The Inc. 5000 is one way to get a list. The agent is another way to build a list. A third way to build a list is to use somebody else's connections. So for example, if I, if you know that I have 29,000 connections on LinkedIn, you can build a list off my Connections. Did you guys know you could build a list off My Connections? So how do you build a list off Joe Apfelbaum's connections? Well, what you first need to do is you need to get access to My Connections. I'm going to send you guys a link. For those of you that are part of the Bundle Plus, you'll get approved to get access to My Connections. So you can request access and then you can say, okay, well, I want people that are women. So you click on female. I want people that have a title that contains CEO. So you type in CEO. So now you see there's 794 women that are CEOs. I want people that have jobs that changed recently, that recently changed companies. Boom. You see the top 30 people that recently changed companies. You see that are women that are connected to Joe Apfelbaum. How cool is that? Write cool in the chat if you think that's really cool. And then you could build your list off This. Write cool in the chat so I know you guys see this. I actually built this out today. So if you're like, where were you? Where was this all my life? A client called me up and he said, Joe, I'm a Bundle+ member. I want a list of your connections, but I want to filter by women who recently changed jobs that are your connections. Can you do that? Now you could do that within Sales Navigator as well. You can search for women in Sales Navigator, But you could search for people that recently changed jobs that are connected to a particular person. So if you click on lead filters and you click on changed jobs that are connections of, let's say just me, or you can do connections of, let's say Danielle, you can see who they are, but you're not gonna be able to filter by women. And you're not gonna be able to have the list instantly show up really, really quick like that. Like the way that you can do it with our software. I like sending people InMails on LinkedIn. I don't know if you guys do this, send out messages to people. You see this woman, Tracy? I said, Tracy, do you wanna join a posting challenge? We have a posting challenge that we're doing for the next 10 days, which started today. Over 100 people joined. Would you like to join? So I'm gonna go ahead and use Evvii's assets. So we have a section here called assets, which has templates. So I'm just gonna hit, go ahead and send this message. You see that? We have a 10-day posting challenge. Here's the link. We'd love to have you part of it. You see that? That's called an asset or a template. I just shared it with you guys as well. What's this challenge about? This challenge is people that want to help each other out and support each other out and also wanna share, wanna both train AI and also train their audience at the same time. So I'm gonna click on here and click on Start Focus Session, and I can start commenting on each person's post. So I'm gonna right-click here. I'm gonna open up in split view and I'm gonna leave a comment on all these people. So for example, James posted over here. I'm gonna go ahead and leave a comment on James' post. And then I'm gonna say, I commented. Then I'm gonna go to Nancy's post. I'm gonna open up Nancy's post over here and I'm gonna click like. And then I'm gonna say, I'm gonna comment on her post. I'm gonna read the post, read the comments, see it makes sense, press comment, right? I commented. Then I'm gonna go to Lucia. I'm gonna open up on the right over here. I'm gonna see her post over here, read it. Looks like it makes sense. I'm gonna go here, leave a comment, read my comment. It makes sense. I, I post it. Barbara Harrington. I'm gonna do the same thing for each person. Now, is this, is this fast or is this slow? Let me know in the chat. Is this fast? The fact that I'm supporting all these people and everyone's supporting each other and there's 100 people in the, in the thing. Is this fast or is this slow? The way that I'm leaving comments. Now, keep in mind that if you want to leave comments really fast on LinkedIn, you have to use a fast AI model. I'm using Gemini right now, which is super fast these days. Gemini's super fast. So when I click in here and I put a keyboard shortcut in here and the comment appears instantly, that's because on the right side over here, I selected Gemini here. You see, if you have Evie AI Premium, which you all have, or Evie AI Pro, you could do Gemini. If you have Pro, you can also select Astra, which is the latest version that came out like a week ago or whatever. Claude, Grok, and a lot of people don't even have Astra available in their ChatGPT yet. We have it available as an API, so we made it available for everybody if you have Pro. Like Gabby has Pro, Jeff has Pro, Carlos has Pro, Jane has Pro, and so on. So I'm gonna click over here, put in a keyboard shortcut. Carlos Diaz gets a comment. I just comment just like that. You see Carlos? Carlos, I love this photo. Very, very nice photo. So I press, I commented. I go to James. I go to the next one for James. This is his day 3 origin story. And I'll be like, it doesn't look like you posted anything over here. I'm gonna tag him and I'm gonna complain this is not working properly. Okay. I'm gonna go to each person here. Open in write view. Nancy. And this, and this is how fast you're able to leave comments. And I only have 3 comments left to do and I'm done for the day. You guys see? So if you have a list of people that you want to comment on regularly, this could be a very nice way for you to be able to Connect with people, build relationships, leave some comments, and just knock it out. Knock out all your comments for the day. I personally have a list of people that I'm constantly commenting on their posts that are ideal clients for me because I have lists that I work off. So everyone should have their lists that they work off, either lists from their own connections or lists for other people. So you see, I'm back to the challenge. I'm done. I finished a challenge. And so now I commented on every single person's up and I'm up to date. I'm day 4 out of 10. You guys see what I'm saying?
Can I ask a question please?
Yeah, go ahead.
Are these comments in your voice? To what extent are these comments in your voice?
Yeah, they are. So what, what I do is—
You pre-trained your AI and so on.
I trained my AI to sound like me. So within Evvy AI, we have something called styles and we have something called personas. On the left side of Evvy AI, When it loads, hang on, let me see. I'm gonna refresh it. On the left side over here, you see over here it says personas and it says styles. Personas are who you are. Styles are what you sound like. Personas are like, for example, maybe I'm MC Mojo. Do you guys know MC Mojo? You ever heard of MC Mojo? MC Mojo is a gangster rapper. He uses terminology that's hip and modern. He talks like a rapper would when he's under the influence of cannabis. He says, I'm a gangsta, I get cheese, yo, I'm bad to the bone. You know, that's what he says. And he ends every single comment with the words, I'm dangerous. You see that? So if I want to, if I want to be him, I can just become him. I might have to put on some music. You know what I mean? I might have to put on some music to really get into the vibe of that. You guys want to hear a little bit of music? Lately I've been listening. I've been making some music lately. You guys want to hear something about the LinkedIn game? Yeah. Yo. Or I can do a posting party one. Come on, come on, come join the way. It looks like Heather just joined. Welcome, Heather. Yeah, so definitely you can set up different personas, and the different personas are either for a company page or for a person, and then the AI starts knowing who you are. So when you generate content, you're able to generate content based on a specific person. Now styles are different because styles allow you to have a certain style. So for example, for comments, I have one style. For posts, I have a different style. So if I want to write a post on LinkedIn about a specific topic, this is my style for the post. So if I click over here, text, and I want to write a text post, maybe I'm going to select my LinkedIn post style. I'm going to select my CEO of Evvy AI persona. My goal is going to be to be in an educational post and my tone is going to be curious. And I'm gonna say my core values are curiosity, creativity, and levity. Write a LinkedIn post about why it's so important to have core values as a person and share them with your audience so they understand how you operate. So I'm gonna click on generate and it's gonna write a post. Now it's using Claude to write the post. You see, it's my own Claude. We give you access to Claude, Grok, Gemini, whatever. And then you see, it says most people never stop to ask themselves what they actually stand for. That's a shame because your core values are the blueprint for how you show up in the world, how you make decisions, and ultimately how you build trust with people around you. Here's what I learned after building multiple businesses and raising 5 incredible kids. Now, how did it know that I built multiple businesses and I raised 5 incredible kids? Because that's in my persona. You get that, Rabbi Daniel? You get that, Heather?
Yeah.
So you're using my API when you're doing this. Heather's like, are you using my Claude or your Claude? No, we're using your— my Claude. If you want to use your own Claude, you could use your own Claude, but Evie AI has all these different APIs available here that uses our own API key, and you can create as many posts as you want. You can also create images. Now you're, if you're an Evie AI Pro user, you get access to specialty types of training and support that most people don't get access to. For example, we have a special labs section here on the left, and we have inspiration in the lab section. So one of the things that we like to do is we like to give people inspiration. So for example, I click on viral images in the inspiration tab. And under viral images, I can select LinkedIn or I can select Pinterest. And then I could load all the images from Pinterest. So for example, I might want to see images that are Venn diagrams. You guys know what a Venn diagram is? You guys see?
Yeah.
So I found this little image here that I really like. So I'm going to open up the image generator inside Evvy AI. I'm going to take this Venn diagram here and I'm going to drag it into Evvy AI. And I'm going to say, clean up this image, call it High Energy Purpose Chart, make the background gold, and then make the circles purple and white and make it really nice. And on the bottom say, get your High Energy Purpose book on Amazon. Okay. So I'm going to press create. And what Evie AI is going to do is it's going to take this inspiration of this particular chart. And follow the instructions that I shared here in real time. And we have thousands and thousands of examples, but look how beautiful this came out. Guys, write beautiful in the chat if you really like this. I'm not kidding. This is done. Finished. I'll put this in the chat. Write beautiful if you like this.
Did you upload that yourself? Not that one, but the original, or did you pull— okay, I see you did a search.
It's put, yeah, it's put, I just did a filter for Venn diagram.
Mm-hmm.
I could filter for Matrix. Last time I did a filter for Matrix over here and I dragged it in and I said, I told it to make a polished purple infographic, blah, blah, blah. And it turned it into that. Hang on, here it is. I said, turn this image into a purple and gold style image. And it took this and turned it into this. You see?
If you don't mind asking a quick Joe while you're here. So is there a way you can add your brand colors, hex colors somewhere so that, Your training, your—
You could add it as, you can add it as a prompt. So we have assets over here, so you can add your Brad colors as an asset, and then you can pull that into the prompt each time.
As well as books, maybe as an asset would be books in your case, in this case.
Yeah, yeah, it could be whatever you like. Assets are like templates that you can use. So if I'm writing a prompt, let's say I'm here and I wanna write a prompt, I can select an asset to write a prompt off it, you see? So you can have one called colors, and then boom, it'll use the colors. And you could do the assets inside the images as well.
Okay.
Um, yeah, so you can definitely pull in assets right over here, you see? So I would do that. I would create a prompt with, with your brand colors as an asset. So you just use that and boom, and it knows what to do.
Um, like all of our books and things like that. Sorry to interrupt you.
Yeah, you could, you could upload books and, uh, that is— yeah, you could do all types of training and assets as well. You can put it in there as well. Yeah, yeah, no worries.
You're good.
So the whole idea behind us, behind what we're doing is, is we want to make it really easy for you to be able to create your content. So whether you're looking for news, we update this news every hour. So you could see, this is 1 day ago, this is 2 hours ago. So every hour there's new news coming in for your industry. And so you can filter by like health and wellness, and you'll see all the news related to health and wellness. We also have everybody's LinkedIn posts here. So you can click on all categories and you can see, show me all the people that are like, video content creators and show me the most viral posts. So this one over here, this guy here, Jimmy, he has 17,000 likes and 100 comments on this post. If I want to open this up on LinkedIn and I want to leave a comment on his post, all I got to do is press Alt+G here in the comments. And then Evvy AI will draft a comment right on his post. You see that? And 1,000 people commented. I just commented on this post as well. Now chances are this post already died a while ago, but I just kind of revived it. And so a lot of these people are going to start seeing me like Gabe Iphorn is actually a potential client and a friend of mine. Dude, it's so cool that you commented on this post. It was great to see you at the startup event.
Okay.
And so I just press comment. But that's the idea. The idea is finding inspiring posts and inspiring people to follow. We also have something called creators here. So you can see all the creators. For example, I was showing this to Heather yesterday. You click on women and you can see all the female creators of LinkedIn. You see that? They're all here.
That's nice.
We also have something called hiring signals. Every single week we tell you all the people that are hiring. So if you want to find people that are hiring in marketing leadership, you can see all the job posts and you might even be able to see who works at that company. So I press find people, it'll take a look and say, okay, who works at that company? And it'll show you all the people that work inside that company and you can do AI research on all those people. And you know that they're looking for a marketing person. So if you have a marketing agency, it might be that they could hire, you can hire, they would, might be able to hire you until they find the person that they're looking for. Within Evvy AI, we have something called workflows, which if you want people to remember you, what you want to do is you want to make sure that you're consistently posting on LinkedIn. So if you don't have any workflows set up, I highly recommend you set up 1 or 2 workflows. Or you have things going out. So for example, I have Friday Inspiration. So every single Friday it creates automatically inspiring posts with my image and my look and feel, and then automatically publishes those posts. And when it publishes it automatically, you can click on view on LinkedIn and you can actually see the post live on LinkedIn. You see that? There's another thing that I wanted to show you guys. But I just want to take some questions first before I keep moving on. And we're 23 minutes into this. Did you guys understand what I shared about how important it is to actually have a list of people that you're targeting? You guys understand how important it is? And there's many sources of ways that you can build lists. You can build lists from the Inc. 5000. You can build lists based on my connections. You can build lists based on your connections. You can build lists based on the agent. Go ahead, Heather.
Ah, fuck, that's not me.
I just, I just muted whoever was having a great time over there. Whatever they were doing, they were doing, but we muted them, so we don't know. We don't know. We don't know the continuation of what happened over there, but some— it was, it was interesting. It was interesting.
It added a lot of love to the room today. That was funny.
Wasn't me.
So, yeah.
What were you saying?
It wasn't me on the carpet. It wasn't me.
It wasn't me.
Is that like the rap song? It wasn't me.
Okay.
Exactly.
Okay.
Lists. Let's talk about lists, if you don't mind. I'm gonna take the time for— to ask a question. So, I do understand the power of lists. What I don't understand is LinkedIn's of what I can search and what I cannot. So I know title CEO, things like that, coach, consultant, okay. But if I'm looking for, you know, my target market, um, you know, women specifically who are creating content, they have a program and they're not converting, like they're not selling. So like, if you just walk me through and help me brainstorm, what is the best things for me to search?
Yeah, so for you in your specific case, Heather, um, I would, I would create a strategy first. The first thing I would do is create a strategy. So, um, I'm gonna show you right over here. Do you see we have something called networkingsystem.eveai.com? I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna show you how I create a strategy for you right now. And we could do this for all EVE AI Pro members get a strategy. So Um, the way it's gonna work is first I'm gonna grab your LinkedIn profile. So I'm gonna go here. I'm gonna search for you, Heather. Hang on a second. Heather, uh, Havenwood.
Havenwood.
I'm gonna copy, I'm gonna copy your LinkedIn URL and then I'm gonna go here and I'm gonna press find my profile. It's gonna say, is this you? I'm gonna say, yeah. I'm gonna say open my strategy. So it opens up your strategy. So in your strategy you have the plan, the people, the promise, The story, the presence, the system, the exposure, the credibility, and the conversations. Everything is done here for you already. We want to onboard you. My team is trying to schedule something to onboard you, but the idea is you have the plan, the people, the promise, the story, the presence, the system, the exposure, credibility, conversations. Because you're an EvAI Pro member and you have the Bundle Plus, which means you paid for the year, you get this as a bonus. This is our $10,000 training program where we walk you through how to create a business plan, a marketing plan, and a LinkedIn plan.
Awesome.
And the part is the people. So the people that we're looking to connect with is this person, creator economy, consultant, personal development, solo, whatever ages, income, location, what they do all day, what they're trying to achieve, what keeps them up at night, who can refer business to you. So in your case, what I want to do is I want to figure out what are the specific titles of the people that I want to target? Based on what I want to achieve. And then once I figure out what, who they are, then I could figure out what are their pains, goals, dreams, and fears, their questions and the perfect pitch. And the AI generates that whole thing. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go into Evvy AI and I'm gonna say, refine that for me. So the way that I do that is by going to something in the homepage of Evvy AI. We have a section called content. Do you see it says content here?
Yeah.
If you click on home, then you can click content. Then we have all these quick generators. We have a networking one sheet, direct messages, image prompts, comment generators. We have one called a LinkedIn search playbook generator. I'm gonna click on that. And then what I'm gonna say is over here, I want to create a LinkedIn playbook, uh, create a LinkedIn search playbook, not for an executive recruiter, but for—
Sales.
Female coaches. Okay, so that posts content on LinkedIn. Okay, so I'm going to press generate. I don't— and what it's going to do is it's going to say, okay, your core title is coach, business coach, life coach, executive coach, career coach, and mindset coach. Those are your core level 1 titles. Level 2 are the value additions that you add. So besides this, you can add other things like the word leadership, performance, transformation, high performance, scaling, fractional, mentor. Those are—
It'd be a plus, like business plus leadership.
Exactly. Exactly. That's the second variation. The third variation would be combining all 3 together, which is called a Boolean search string. A Boolean search string provides 4 to 6 copy-ready Boolean strings for Sales Navigator that you can search right now. So I'm going to copy this Boolean string. I'm going to go right into Sales Navigator. I'm going to click on lead search. I'm going to press enter and look what it's going to do. It's going to automatically add all the filters for me. I don't have to do the filters. It adds them for me. Boom. It found all the people. You see?
Yeah.
With that, with those specific filters, I found 9 million people. It's too many people, but Evvy AI was able to find all those people relatively quickly because it has that. Now, in your case, What I— you— okay. Yeah, in your case, what I want to do is I want to build a list of people that I can easily get in touch with because I need to get on the phone with them quickly.
Right.
I want to get on the phone with people quickly that are women that are business coaches. So I have something called a Calendly hack. Have you heard of the Calendly hack?
No.
Okay, so I'm going to give you an example. If I go to Google, Did you know that you can type in site:linkedin.com/in? Did you know you can do that? And then it'll show you all the profiles on LinkedIn. Okay. And then I'm going to type in Sarah. I'm going to type in coach and I'm going to type in calendly.com.
Okay.
So I'm searching Sarah, coach, calendly.com on linkedin.com/in. I press enter and it's going to show me all the people that have the name Sarah and also have the word Calendly and have the word coach on LinkedIn. Now you don't have to be on LinkedIn to do this. There's 1,000 profiles here. So what I can do is I can right-click on this profile. I can open up in split view because Chrome allows you to do that. So this way it still has a search open here, and then I can book a meeting with her. I see that she hasn't posted on LinkedIn, but she has 1,000 followers. So I could literally go in here Find her Calendly link. Where was their Calendly link? Google showed it.
I don't see it.
Wait, I don't see it either. I don't know why it's not here. Maybe she removed it. I'm gonna just copy it from here. Let's just see if that still works. Okay, good. So I'm gonna book a meeting with her. I'm gonna book a meeting for tomorrow. At 6:00 PM, I'm going to press next. I'm going to put in my name and my email, my phone number.
Okay.
And I'm going to say, I would love to chat with you about why you're not posting any posts on LinkedIn. You have over 1,000 followers. And I think there's a massive opportunity. I'd love to show you my technology, how it works, and also get to know you. 'Cause I know a lot of people I can refer you to. I have over 57,000 followers on LinkedIn. So let me know if you're up for a conversation. If not, you don't have to accept, as I know it's Friday afternoon. But for you, it's Friday at 3. So let's connect. Okay. So now I just press send and hopefully she'll take the call. If she doesn't take the call, she doesn't take the call. But how many times can I do this?
Well, let's go back to the search and Evan.
Yeah.
Go back to that.
Do you understand what I just did?
Yeah, I do.
I booked a meeting with a coach named Sarah on her Calendly.
Totally get it. But going back to the search, we had the search, it's from my people. I'd like to then focus on first the people I'm connected to.
Perfect.
Versus going outside of that.
Perfect.
So like just going back one step from the search, like what's that next step without going outside of my— because I have 30,000 people, I'd rather just focus on them right now.
I agree with you 100%. I agree with you 100%.
We're already connected.
Yeah. Yeah. So, and that goes for everyone. That goes literally for everyone. Everyone should have this. So if you, if you're already connected to people, you have this, Heather, right? You, you're trained on how to use this. So if I go in here and I scroll to the section, um, I'm just going to go to the bottom over here where it says—
Well, we were on that other section. Sorry. I just felt like you kind of stopped mid-sentence and went off on scroll.
No, no, because you told me you wanted to do your own. So I'm gonna do, I'm gonna show you how we would do our own. That's why I did that. 'Cause we kind of switched from—
Oh, okay.
We switched from finding people that are in Calendly, like on online, just to find people on Google. We're finding just people right here on your own connections. So you have this list. You have, everyone should have access to this, by the way. Right? I have it in the chat or right? I need it in the chat. Right? I have it or I need it in the chat. Let me know. But everyone should have access to this if you're an EvAI Pro member. You have access to the prospecting party. So Carlos has it. Um, Arlene has it. Rabbi Danielle has it and so on. So I'm going to, I'm going to right-click. So the first thing is you got to filter this list.
Okay.
So Heather, how do you filter this list? So for you, you want to target women. So you filter by women. I have 5,000 women. You told me you have 6,000 women, right?
Correct.
I like to filter by the year that I connected to them. So I'm going to select by year 2026 to year 2026, and that boils it down from 29,000 to 150 people.
Okay.
Then I'm also going to—
Is this where we then do the Boolean search? Is that where we then add that here?
That Boolean search is specifically for Sales Navigator. Oh, got it.
Okay.
So if somebody needs a Boolean search for Sales Navigator or for LinkedIn, That's where you would use that Boolean search. So, um, you could find titles there on level 1 or level 2 that you can then use here because you didn't even know what titles you were looking for. And Evy AI, the generator, gave you a bunch of titles so you can use those titles in here as well. So for example, leadership coach. I just searched leadership and now I have all these leadership people here.
Right.
Okay.
For women, for women that I connected between 2026 and 2026.
And then we can export.
And then we can export it as a CSV, or we can copy this table into a spreadsheet. Got it.
And then how do we move that into, um, in, in EVAI to enrich it?
So the way that you would enrich it with EVAI is you would just click on— you see there's an EVAI button over here?
Okay.
So I can click on it there. You see, you can click on that. And that will automatically open up a chat, and it'll say step one, step two, step three, step four, step five, step six, step seven. Get their domain name, get their blog, get their email address, get da da da da da. And in thirty seconds, it'll get all that stuff. It'll get everything for you, Jeff.
If you're not sure, drop it into. Sorry, go ahead.
Yeah, you can drop it into GoHighLevel. You could drop it into GoHighLevel, and I'll show you how to do that in just one second. But Jeff wants to know where it is. Jeff, just come to office hours either at seven or at twelve, and we'll set you up with it. Okay, Jeff, just come to office hours at 12 or at 7 and we'll set you up with it. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna copy, I'm gonna copy all this information about this woman over here. And what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go back, I'm gonna go back into where I just was. I was just here. And I'm just gonna open this person up in split view. So I still have this open and it's open on the side. So Alina's my connection. She's a coach. She's, she's a A woman, right? If I want, if I wanna, and I see she's posting on LinkedIn, you see she posted 6 hours ago, but she got 2 likes. So chances are she's not monetizing her stuff and she has thousands of followers. So she's an ideal client for you.
Right.
I wanna push her into GoHighLevel. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna click on network here on the side, in the side panel. And with her profile open, I'm gonna click on the check tab button on the top right. And it's gonna check this tab to see if we're in a profile. It's gonna say, hey, do you wanna save it? And I'm gonna call it intros, intros for Heather. Okay.
Oh, okay.
I'm gonna press add. I just added her to a list called intros for Heather. Now, if I want to, if I want to enrich this, I'm gonna first add some notes with all the information I collected here. You see?
Yep. You grabbed that from the other page.
I grabbed that from the other page. I'm also gonna go into the contact info section just to see what else I can grab here. And you can see I grabbed some more info here and I press save. So now I saved a note with random information from the internet. I go into contact information. I still don't have email and cell phone and birthday and gender. I have nothing here. So I'm gonna say enrich from the notes. It's gonna read all the notes. And it's gonna try to pull out first name, last name, whatever, email, cell phone number, whatever it could. You see?
Yeah.
And if I press save, everything is here. Now, how do I get this into GoHighLevel? I just push sync with GoHighLevel and it's inside my GoHighLevel instantly. It's also tagged intros for Heather, so I can set an automation in GoHighLevel that if there's ever a tag with a new contact with the words intros for Heather in it, that it automatically does an intro to Heather. Like I can set that up. That's easy. So I'm gonna go in here and I'm gonna press open up. I'm gonna open this up and go HighLevel. And now I'm gonna call this person. Now you're gonna be like, Joe, what are you gonna talk to this person about? I don't know what I'm gonna talk to the person about. Well, we're gonna figure it out. We're gonna do AI research and know exactly what to say. But all the AI research is already here. It's done. You guys see that? You guys see the way the AI research is already done? And so when I call her, I can just call her right now like that. I have all her contact info. Hi, Alina. Hi, Alina. It's Joe Apfelbaum. How are you?
Hi, I'm well. How are you?
Good, good, good. Uh, I, I, uh, I watched your TED Talk, The Animal in the Mirror.
Yeah.
Pretty incredible.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
You are so amazing. I love that you have thousands of followers on LinkedIn. I have a, I have a new client that I just connected with and she's like, oh my God, I would love to meet Alina. She's an awesome person that helps women and coaches and she's part of a bunch of communities. I always want to ask permission before I make an intro. Would you mind if I connect you with my new client and friend Heather? Who's a total queen?
I don't mind. I don't mind.
Okay.
I've won. It's funny. I was curious about you.
Oh, you're curious about me?
Not me.
Oh my goodness. Tell me more. Tell me more what you're curious about. And now, now you piqued my interest.
Well, it's funny, but I like your— I love your approach.
Okay.
I love your, um, it's strategy and it's also just you. Yeah. You put yourself out there and you let people know you.
Yeah.
I even, I even do a, I even do a Ukrainian accent from time to time. If you're, if you're up for it, I'm happy to. If you're up for it, I know it's your hometown. So like, if you're up to it, I'm happy to.
Funny. That's really funny. I think we are in a couple of communities. I know.
Yeah.
So I know in Circle.
Yeah.
You posted something in Adam Connor's community.
Yeah.
And you were asking like, hey, does anybody— can I help anybody scrape LinkedIn? And what would it be?
Yeah.
Before that, before Before that, I saw people had recommended like you for a while. I don't remember where it started.
Wow.
But then I saw you had like a 10-post challenge.
That was—
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A 10-day posting challenge. I'm glad that you saw that. And you're— and I saw that you're ICF certified. That's impressive.
I am. I am.
Wow.
That's very impressive.
I'm doing a bunch of stuff, but I, I am about to walk in.
Oh, okay. You're busy.
My appointment.
But do you want to— do you want to schedule like maybe like a 30-minute thing where we get together? Yeah.
Okay.
All right. I'll, I'll, uh, I'll, I'll have my assistant reach out to you and then I'll intro you to Heather as well so you can chat with her as well.
Okay. I will be happy to chat with Heather.
Oh, you're such a sweetheart.
I'm a nice person. Um, takes one to know one, right?
And then, yes, yes, yes.
And then I, if your assistant's gonna schedule, yeah, she should be, she should see my Calendly link on my profile.
She will. She will. It's easy to find.
And then she can just grab that spot and that's it.
Yeah. Yeah. She'll do that. Okay, excellent, excellent. By the way, are you in Brooklyn? Are you in Brooklyn or Manhattan?
I'm on I'm on Rhode Island.
Oh, you're in Rhode Island?
Roosevelt Island.
Okay, okay, in the middle. Okay, smack in the middle. Got it. I've rode around my scooter over there from from Long Island City, so I know Roosevelt Island.
Where are you?
I'm in New Jersey, but I'm I'm in Manhattan and Brooklyn all the time. So maybe I'll swing by Roosevelt Island at some point. It's very nice there.
Yes, yes. I'll meet you for coffee, whatever one of those.
I would love that. Okay, we'll talk soon.
That sounds good.
I look forward to it. Bye, Alina. All right, bye.
All right, bye, Joe.
Ba dum ba da da dum bum bum. Someone's calling me now. Who's calling me here? Ralph. Oh, let's see what Ralph wants. Ralph, how are you?
Uh, I'm just fine. Who am I speaking to?
This is Joe Apfelbaum. You're in Canada, right? I'm in New Jersey.
Oh my God, you actually sound like a nice guy.
I appreciate that. Well, you reached out to me in January and my team has been trying to call you to kind of connect with you. And we'd love to schedule a call for you to see what we're, what we're up to and what we're doing so that we can get to know you a little bit better. Would you be, would you be open to hopping on a Zoom with me so we can see each other face to face?
Uh, yes. Uh, I just woke up 'cause I was working late last night.
Oh, wow. You just woke up. You're an early bird. You woke up early. 1:42 in the afternoon.
When you're creative, the moment hits you. Yeah.
No, I get that. I get that. I have a question for you. That tuxedo that you're wearing, is it real or is it AI? Because it looks very handsome on you.
Oh, oh God, you're looking at my profile.
Okay, of course I am.
Uh, yeah, the, uh, this— it is— it's a black suit that I wear as a tuxedo.
Oh wow. And so you actually wear that every— you wear that every day? Is that like your style?
Uh, no, I just wear it to lunch once a month.
Okay, okay. Oh, once a month? Oh my God, I don't remember the last time I wore a tuxedo, but I should wear a tuxedo when we get together on the phone. That would be fun, wouldn't it?
No, it's not the— it's the Masonic Lodge that I belong to.
Oh, it's a club. So you're all fancy and everything. Okay, great. Do you have time maybe tomorrow afternoon? Would that work for you? Maybe around 12:30 or so?
Um, I've— 12:30 tomorrow. Sure.
Okay.
Well, I'll have my assistant send you a calendar invite and then you'll jump on Zoom. You know how to use Zoom, right?
Yeah, it's an— is this an IQ test?
No, it's not an IQ test, but it could be. It could be if you want it to be. I can send you an IQ test. You know what I mean?
I, I, I, I've redesigned the computer's hardware to safely open and process malware.
Wow. Okay, so you are a genius. I'm talking to a genius.
I, I know something about— yeah, I mean, how to get onto a Zoom call.
Of course you do. Of course you do. Of course you do. I mean, I did my research on you. You're a veteran Canadian innovator and the president of ROATS Technologies. So So I know that you're groundbreaking computer discovery, the new class of computer components. I'm going to hear all about it tomorrow, I'm sure. And I love that you help businesses that are 5 to 500 computers. So we'll talk more tomorrow. We'll get to know each other more.
Okay? All right. See you at 12:30.
God bless you.
Bye-bye.
All right.
Bye.
I don't know what to tell you guys. I don't know what to tell you guys. So I got an intro for Heather. I got a meeting, possibly a coffee date with someone who was originally from Ukraine, which I had no idea who they were. Like zero clue. Totally random. Totally random. And they— she knows me from some circle community that I didn't even know that I'm even part of. Do you get what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Because I'm posting on LinkedIn.
This is what—
and these are real relationships. These are people I'm gonna hug one day. A guy with a— a guy with a tuxedo. He's like, you sound like a nice guy. It was in my voice that he wanted to connect with me. He wanted to lick me because of my voice. You get what I'm saying? He's like, dude, you're a lollipop.
Like, I—
you sound like a nice guy because I'm just so good. What?
Joe, how close do you think I go that far about licking?
Okay, I hear you, Coach Rob. I hear you, Coach Rob. But that's how my brain thinks. It thinks like, you know, how many licks does it take to get to the center of it? And Rabbi Danielle, what were you gonna say?
How close are you to Muncie and Flatbush?
Muncie and Flatbush. I hear you.
Those are the places I tend to get to in the States.
I hear you. I hear you. I hear you. We'll get together when you come over. We'll have a nice shawarma together or falafel or something. I like falafel. That's my, that's my go-to. That's great.
Anyway, a quick question. Are you in the middle of something?
Please. No, no, no. Please, please, please. I love when people ask questions.
I want to take away, I want to try and take away something bite-sized. As well, you've got the recording and I'll have notes from this session. But to take something bite-sized, I've not been so good at commenting and the way you're doing these comments really quickly strikes me as being something really important because obviously to keep momentum on LinkedIn, you have to have that connection. You post and you send messages, but you're also commenting. So you're engaging with people's stuff. And as we spoke about earlier, you've got to train the FBI to be in your voice, which you haven't done yet. So roughly speaking, if I turn my mind to it some— sometime after Yom Kippur, how long will it tell me— take me to set that up that I'm confident that I can do a certain volume of comments, whatever I might ask you?
I would say—
I would say in a voice I'd be happy with, because I'm quite—
I'm quite mucked with.
I'll say, I'll be honest with you, I don't know that you'll ever be happy. That you have to go to therapy for. You know what I mean? That's, you have to, you have to do mushroom something, you know, you have to do something different. But in a voice that you'll be happy with. I, what I think you need to do is you need to figure out what you want in a comment and then train the AI to sound like that and get it 80% of the way there. It's never, nothing's ever gonna be 100%. AI doesn't work 100% because it's generative. It's never gonna be perfect. It's not, if you want perfect, use templates. We have assets. We have the ability for you to put templates as comments. I have 10 templates. If I'm not in the mood of even looking at it and I know what I want to say, I just use a template. You are always going to be happy with it because you're happy with the template. You know what it says. And you can have 10 different templates and you can set keyboard shortcuts for the templates and the templates get deployed. Did you guys know that you can set keyboard shortcuts for templates in Evie AI? So you push a keyboard shortcut.
How long is it likely to take me to get into it?
Just today or tomorrow?
It doesn't—
Focusing my mind a few hours. Anytime you do something for 30 days in a row, if you spend 5 minutes a day leaving comments for 30 days in a row, it becomes a habit and you don't think about it. It just happens.
Mm-hmm.
That's what they say. 30 days in a row. Some people say 90 days. I think you're a smart guy. You'll pick up the habit fast. But once you start doing something consecutively for, let's say, 30 days, like going to the gym or whatever you're doing, you do it for 30 days, it becomes a habit. I started making my bed when I turned 30, uh, let's just say 35. I'm still I'm still 25, but when I turned 35, I started making my bed and it stuck for a long time. For a decade it stuck. You get what I'm saying? So any habit that you want, if you want a habit to post, do the 10-day posting challenge. You'll have a habit to post because you'll do it for 10 days. And now you're in a habit. You'll be like itching to post after day 11. You'll be like, what's going on? I got to keep posting. And you'll see how easy it is. You click a button, you write the post, you post it, and you see wonderful people like Alina. She's a gem. She's a total gem. You saw her the way she spoke to me, how sweet she was. She's willing to meet Heather. I'm gonna go make an intro.
That was on that was your first ever conversation with her.
I've never spoken to her in my life. Maybe in a different life. You know what? Maybe in a different life we were besties from another messy. I always say bestie from another messy. Maybe in a different life we were besties. It's very possible. But she's willing to speak to Heather. That's amazing. It means she's a queen. I mean, she's incredible. She's an open-minded person. She's my kind of person. I believe that if you do outreach and you're in a good state, you're going to find people that are in a good state too. It's a vibration. I expected Ralph to treat me like a king, and Ralph himself is a king. He wears a tuxedo. He's a king. You hear what I'm saying? So the guy treated me like a king. I treated him like a king, and we have a session for— by the way, Jen, are you going to book these meetings for me? Or am I just gonna have to do the the executive function later? I'll put the meeting for you.
Sure.
What are you gonna do? Do you know? Were you paying attention, or do you need me to tell you? I know what you did. Okay. Thank you. Have the notes. Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Just make sure you take care of it because I made some promises. And also, do me a favor. Introduce Heather to her if you don't mind, please, for me. Just do an email intro between the two of them. Say Joe—
Okay.
Introduction by Joe Apfelbaum. So guys, this is how I make intros. I write the subject line, Introduction by Joe Apfelbaum, Heather, meet Alina. And in the body, I put both of their little bios there. And then I say, I think you guys should meet. You guys are both awesome. I'll let you guys take it from here. And I press send. And sometimes I have my assistant do it for me because I'm in the middle of presenting and I don't have the time to do it. And after this, I have another call, another call, another call, then dinner with the kids. And then boom, boom, I forget what I'm doing. So that's why Jen is here. She makes sure that it all gets done.
Jen, I just dropped my email in the chat for you.
Oh, thank you.
Thank you for doing that. So I have a question for those of you that are here. I have a question for you guys, and you could put this in the chat. What is your main goal in terms of LinkedIn? What is your main goal that you're trying to achieve? Put it in the chat if you don't mind. Go ahead, put in your main goal. What are you trying to achieve with LinkedIn? Put it in the chat if you don't mind. Would love to hear what you're trying to achieve with LinkedIn. So maybe I can help you achieve that. Okay. So one person, Misha, said, I want to get my, I want to get more of my ideal clients. Perfect. Jeff said, get more clients. Perfect. Heather said, get people off LinkedIn into my list and convert. Amazing. Gabby says, get real calls to connect with real decision makers. I love that. I love that. Come on, guys.
More.
Carla says, grow my business to establish credibility. Asmita said, visibility and then meet more clients. Amazing. Coach Rob says, connection which leads to relationships and referrals and clients. I want everyone here to set a goal. If you're watching this, I want you to set a goal. I want you to set a goal to have 5 conversations per day. They don't have to be very long. It could be like the conversation I had with Ralph. It's short. I set up a meeting with him. It didn't take me long, guys. It took me like under a minute and we had a meeting set, booked. He called back because we called him. Do you see how many times in the CRM that we called him? We called him and called since January. We've been calling the guy, texting and calling him since January. And he finally, and he finally got through. We finally got through. He called back. I happened to pick up the phone. If I didn't pick up the phone, I have an AI assistant that picks up the phone and books the meeting for me. Her name is Diana, an AI employee. So I want you guys to think about the following: Are you having five conversations a day right now? If you're not having five conversations a day right now, it's because you're not doing all the things that you can do to reach out to people that you already know, you like, you and trust you, or people that you're connected to. If you're connected to a group of people. Use our technology, filter the list, do AI research, find their contact information, and call them, email them, WhatsApp them, text them, Calendly them. You saw the way I booked a calendar meeting with this woman for tomorrow. She's completely cold. I'm not connected to her at all. I see she has 1,100 followers. Did I lie to her and tell her I want to buy your products and services? No, I did not lie. Jeff, I was straight up with her. You saw that Calendly meeting I booked, Jeff, right? I was straight up with her. I said, I saw you have 1,100 followers. I want to help you start posting content. Also, I have potential people that I could refer you to. Let's connect. And if you want to keep this meeting, let's keep it. Now it's possible she'll hit decline and no, goodbye. That's, that's a possibility. But you saw there were over 1,000 people there with their name Sarah, with a coach with Calendly on Google. That I can just click on and book a meeting with. Now it happened to be when I clicked through it and I went to her profile, it didn't have the Calendly link, but Google had picked it up from before, I guess. We do have something else called a directory inside Evvii AI that many of you might not be familiar with. I'm gonna share my screen real quick just to show you the directory. So if you click on prospects on the left, you see I clicked on prospects on the left. We have different options. We have domain, We have name, we have company, we have email, we have phone, we have LinkedIn URL, and then we have directory. If you click on directory, we have the Inc. 5000 list here. We have people who are networking friendly. We have Calendly link in about section. What is this? So I click on Calendly link in about section. I have 5,451 people that have their Calendly link in their about section on LinkedIn. So for example, if I see this woman, Jessica Powers, you see, and I click on show more info, now I see her Calendly link right over here. She's doing under $1 million in revenue. She's in the United States. It looks like she's in Brooklyn, New York. I want to see who works at her company. I can click on her domain name here and Evvy AI will show me everyone that works at her company. Just her. If I want to find out her information, I check off her name and I press save contact, save connection, and it saves her into Evie AI. Once she's saved into Evie AI, I could look up her phone number and email, or I can use the AI research button where I click on this purple button and it starts researching all over the internet to tell me what it could find out about Jessica Powers. Those are the options, but I'm not a type of person Who likes just enriching 1,000 profiles and just blasting them. Because I want to do what I did with Alina. I want to do what I did with Ralph. I want to do what I did with Sarah. I want it to be very, very, very intentional. What you're doing, strategy is intentional. I was telling Heather this today. I do things one at a time. I'm not looking for a million clients. I'm looking for 10 clients. I'm looking for 20 clients. I'm not looking for 1,000, 5,000, 5 million clients. So if you're looking for 20 of the right clients, the more intentional you are, the more customized your message can be. So if you go through your list and you build yourself a list of 10, 20, 30 people, and you're super intentional for them for the week, and you comment on their posts and you send them messages and you email them and you call them and you figure out what they're up to and who they are. You're going to start having momentum every single week. The goal is not to overdo it. The goal is to have a strategy. And if you don't have a strategy like Heather does, you saw Heather's strategy, the plan, the people, the promise, the profile, everything is there. Her stories, her systems, the templates, the scripts, the lists, everything's there. So if you don't have it all set up, we'll onboard you and set you up. And Heather, let us know if you're available on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday between 9 and 12 for us to do the onboarding for you. If you are, just let us know. Our team, I think, reached out to you to try to figure out which day is best for you to do an hour with you.
Yeah.
I was going to ask you for what you just showed, the plan that's on the onboarding. Yeah.
That happens on the, yeah, that happens on the onboarding. So we're, we've been reaching out to you to try to figure out a 1-hour session. Just reply to us if you can.
No, I'm busy. I'm a busy little girl. I'm a busy girl.
You're busy. You're busy. You're a busy queen. I'm a busy little girl.
I got you. I see the text right here. I will do it right now.
Thank you. You're a sweetheart.
Thank you.
So, so, so for, so for everybody that's here, I just want to let you know that I have your back. I appreciate you very, very much. I thank you for being in my life. And, um, Arlene, is there anything you want to say? Because I see you clapping. What do you think about this whole thing?
You know, it's a review. I've been with you for 3 years, and I— and that's why I keep coming back, because yes, it's a lot of information, a lot to learn. But like Joe said, if you have a strategy and work on a workflow and follow through— because in the beginning, I really had FOMO, and I just got everything, and I did everything, but I didn't have a plan. I didn't have a strategy. And you have to have a plan in order to have these tools. help you grow your business. So I always come here, but what I want to do more is really attend office hours because there's just a plethora of information to learn, but it's— those tools are excellent too.
And Arlene, Arlene, you did the Claude Code Masterclass, the 6-hour masterclass with us, and you're also part of our mastermind, the AI Business Development Circle, where you meet 3 hours every month, learning how to build. And we discovered that you're going to be building a SaaS product very, very soon because you have all these new skills. Do you want to tell everybody what problem you solve?
Oh my gosh, it's huge. When you showed me that example, it's overwhelming, but I shared it with my husband who's an engineer. So he says, oh, no problem, we can do this. We run an executive search. It's an executive search, leadership advisory, and coaching transition business. And so mostly, most of our clients are in entertainment, technology, and nonprofit, and we're building our business in the financial services sector. So Joe helped me create through code an IP structure that could be turned into a sellable subscription software. And so Joe has posted the workflow and plan on one of his posts, and it's just unbelievable. And I saved it, I printed it, and it's something that I wanna follow. And it would— And this plan stayed in my computer a long time, and now he really helped me realize it and say it's achievable. So I'm going to work on it.
And just so you know what she's talking about, I'm just going to quickly show you. We did this in the AI Circle this past Monday. We met for 3 hours with a dozen professionals learning how to be able to properly use AI to grow their business. So if you scroll down over here, you're going to notice, do you guys see this picture here? This was created during our session. The working name ideas, Arlene, her core problem, the core solution, the target users, phase 1, phase 2, phase 3, phase 4, the business model, the key messages, the nice-to-haves, the tone and the vibe, the taglines, the reminders, and the success metrics. Everything is right here. So if you guys want to check this out, just go to my recent posts and I will actually, you know what, I'm going to copy this link here. I'm going to copy the link to the post. Now keep in mind that LinkedIn has shortened URLs. You guys see the shortened URL up here? What you want to do is you want to first clean your URL. So to clean your URL, go to Labs and then go to URL Cleaner under Labs and then paste in the URL and you're going to get a clean version of the URL without all the UTM tags. So LinkedIn can't track it. So I just put the link in the chat. I put the dirty link in the chat.
Okay.
And I'm going to put the clean link in the chat as well. I'm going to copy the clean link. I don't know why it's not copying. I'm going to hit Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V. That's the clean link in the chat. So click on the clean link I just posted in the chat, and then you guys can grab it and make it happen. So I just want to say thank you for being in my life, every single one of you, Latha included, Liz included, Coach Rob included, Jeff included, Carlos, Heather, Arlene, I want to take a moment to bless all of you.
