How to use AI to get clients on LinkedIn

Joe Apfelbaum demos Evie AI, a Chrome extension that automates LinkedIn outreach by enriching profiles, generating personalized messages with keyboard shortcuts, and pulling data from external sources. It creates custom images from one photo and tracks prospects via Sales Navigator, helping over 1,000 coaches and consultants stay top-of-mind without the manual work.

screen just to kind of show you what I see.
Okay.
And then, um, and then you'll tell me what you think. So this is the website. It's Evvy AI. It's, it's a sales assistant that helps you be able to stay top of mind with people. So if I pull up your profile, do you see all of your stuff come up on the side here? Your phone number.
Mm-hmm.
Your, uh, email address. It says that you were networking. I'm also gonna write that we had a conversation. I mean, I'm gonna put you in a list called Conversation 2025. I'm gonna press open quick link. It's gonna show me all of your recent posts. You see all your recent posts just loaded?
Mm-hmm.
Now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna click into here and I'm gonna press a keyboard shortcut, Alt+G, and Evie AI is gonna get to work and write a thoughtful comment. You see the comment was written already and inserted.
Mm-hmm.
Now I'm gonna tag you. And press comment. And this helps me stay top of mind with people very, very quickly. It allows me to be able to leave comments in seconds, but this is not all that it does, just leaving comments. If I wanted to like pull up anybody's profile on LinkedIn, for example, yours, I can save it. And David, look at this. I'm going to click on one of these 7 agents on top here. Can you see that I'm hovering over one called Perplexity?
I do.
When I click on it, look what happens. Do you see the way it's scouring the web and looking for everything about you online? You see it tells me who your target market is. It tells me your key services, how you help clients, your contact information. It gives me conversation starters about you. It gives me potential business opportunities. Notable achievements: founded 17 companies and had 7 successful exits, helping over 65 companies secure capital from private investors, over 18 years combined medical, business, and investor relations expertise. You see what it says about you?
Mm-hmm.
Now, if I want, I can click on here and, and tell it, show me all the podcasts he's recently spoken at. And it's gonna find every podcast and tell me the key points, your focus, and then a conversation starter that I can have with you about this.
Okay.
You see, for every podcast you've been on, and it gives me all the citations. So I can take the initial research, save it as a note under your profile here. I already saved this as a note, you see? I could save an additional note with the most up-to-date research. Then I can take all the podcasts you've been on and also feed it to my AI. And now what I did was I have all this data on you saved here, right here on the side of Evvii AI. So anytime I want, I can just click on it and see all these notes about you. You see? Now, if I wanted to summarize your entire profile, you see I already summarized everything in here.
Mm-hmm.
And I could even create an introduction. So I'm gonna click introduce. So if I wanna introduce you, it'll grab everything including your birthday, your email address, your address, your website, when we connected, we connected back in 2019, and it'll write a blurb that I could use when introducing you to people in my network. Dr. David is the CEO of UCS Advisors. He's, he's a trusted advisor and investor, whatever, blah, blah, blah. 18 years experience, successfully guided hundreds of founders, blah, blah, blah. Sought-after speaker, founder of multiple companies, achieving significant exits, blah, blah, blah. You see that? So that's, um, that's a little blurb I can use when introducing you to people. Any questions so far, or do you understand what it does?
That makes sense what you're saying.
The other thing that we can do is we can take your image And make, um, photos of you doing different things like riding a hot air balloon, or for example, standing next to bodyguards. Get a photo shoot and it looks exactly like you. If you try to use Midjourney for this, it doesn't work. If you try to use ChatGPT for this, it doesn't work. If you try to use Ideogram or Leonardo, it doesn't work. But Evie AI can take your image And be able to put it on anybody doing anything at any time very, very quickly with a click of a button.
Huh.
Like, this is me standing in a hotel lobby saying, ready to level up? Check the prompts in the comments. So we have hundreds of prompts available that do make you stand out and make you do all types of different things. You see? Yep. And you could use these photos for your social media, even prompts that have like words on the wall that you wanna set up very creative like this. Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude. Hmm. Um, so that's, and then we can put this content anywhere we want.
Now isn't, now isn't this here, now Evvy AI, is this, uh, an offshoot of your, of your Evergreen company?
Um, it's a separate company. It's not an offshoot. It's a separate company. So we have 3 companies. We have Ajax Union, we have Evergreen, and we now have Evie AI.
Okay.
You see the way I was able to copy the image from here and paste it right into the DM and send this to you?
Interesting.
So it's a, it's a Google Chrome extension that sits on the side of your browser and it organizes, it saves and organizes profiles. Like I have your profile organized here on the right with all your contact information, and I could look you up on, say, Facebook by clicking one button and it pulls up your profile on Facebook here. I could look you up, I could do a Google search on you with a click of a button. I'm going to go ahead and edit your name here and take out the word Dr. David because there's no Dr. David on Facebook, so it's having a heart attack with the quotes. Yeah, I also spell my last name differently on Facebook too. Yeah, I see, but it still found you.
Yeah, it's not that big of a difference.
Exactly. But it did find you, and, um, I sent you a connection request on Facebook, whatever. But the idea is that this technology allows you to be able to generate ideas, write posts, Save profiles and organize them. You can have many different personas that you train it to sound like different things in different places. So I have ones for WhatsApp, for Twitter, for Facebook. I have ones that promote $100 million offers. I have things that turn images into text messages. I have lots of different personas that do different things for me. Like for example, if I want to write a note for my CRM, I have one that I can speak to. So I just go into the content section. I click on the microphone. I just had a great conversation with David who raises capital for companies and he's in Super Connector, blah, blah, blah, whatever. And then I just convert this into a note for my CRM that's organized in a very specific format, answering specific questions.
Hmm.
We also have a community with over 1,200 people right now, and you're welcome to come to our community to see what we have going on. We have a webinar tomorrow, actually. And we host our community on Skool. And as you can see, when we do events, lots of people comment on the events. You see, we have 337 comments on here. So there's a lot of activity happening and everybody kind of supporting each other. Right now, when you post, I'm the only one that commented on your post. But if you come to our community here, you might have a dozen, 2 dozen, or even 3 dozen comments on your posts.
Yeah, I was doing it for a little bit with Evergreen when you guys were doing that for a little while.
Yeah, we, we, we kind of stopped that because Facebook kind of died. The Facebook group died. Facebook stopped promoting the Facebook group to people even when I posted. So instead of doing that, we moved to a company called Skool and we made it as part of Evie AI. Okay.
Yeah, this kind of seems like a, like a better version of— for a little while, have you heard of REN Systems?
R-E-N? No, never heard of REN Systems.
Uh, so a guy up here in Maine was part of that. I— they actually gave me a 4-month trial, which is pretty cool. So you put your contact list in REN and it tells you— the whole point of REN, R-E-N, is to let you know when to reach out to someone. And they'll take your contacts and every day list every contact that was just in the news yesterday. Oh, nice. Podcast, an article or something like that. So then they generate An email for you.
What's that called?
R-E-N. Ren. Ren Systems. If you want, I can do an introduction to the guy for you, if you'd like.
Yeah, I would love to chat with him.
Yeah, it's really cool and interesting. Like, I got them hooked up with S-I-O-R. Soar. The Soar Network. And they're loving it.
Yeah. That's cool. Yeah.
And what's the best email address for you these days, Joe?
Joe at Ajax Union dot com. I'll put it in. I'll put it in the chat here. Joe at Ajax Union. I just put it in our LinkedIn chat. Okay. So check this out. So I have all these people here. Now what I can do is anywhere that I am on anywhere. So for example, let's say I'm in my CRM and I see this person named David Viola, right? I open up David Viola's name over here. And I want to look him up on LinkedIn. What do I do? I can select his name and then I can do Alt+Shift+K and it automatically does a LinkedIn search that's built into Evie AI.
Okay.
So this gives me the ability to find literally anybody with a keyboard shortcut anywhere on the internet.
Hmm.
That's another powerful feature. Even with the free version of Evie AI, you have that feature. You could also select anybody's name, even if you're on LinkedIn. For example, Irene Daly. I select her name like this. I can right-click on it, click on Evie AI, and then I can find her on any profile— LinkedIn, Facebook, Google, Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube. You see? So you can do that across anybody, on any platform, on any website. So Evie AI allows you to do that. We also have keyboard shortcuts that allow you to be able to drop things. So for example, if I see somebody came to my profile recently, I go to check to see who looked at my profile. So for example, I see I had 3,000 people look at my profile. So I see this guy David looked at my profile. I can go into here and I could put a keyboard shortcut. And there's a bunch of different keyboard shortcuts that I have for different situations. You see?
Mm-hmm.
And depending on the situation that I'm in and what I want to say, I can invite this guy to my next webinar. You see that? See the way I just invited him to this?
Mm-hmm.
That was very, very fast. If I want to say, thank you for looking at my profile, I can just press a keyboard shortcut and that just appears. So that also saves a lot of time when people are looking at my profile for me to message them. So you can set up to 10 keyboard shortcuts, 1 through 10, and you can attach a template to each keyboard shortcut to make it really, really fast, to make your reply really, really fast. So instead of copying and pasting templates, you can set up all your templates over here and you could have an unlimited amount of templates. But each template you can either insert directly into LinkedIn by clicking on the insert button here, or you could use a keyboard shortcut, David.
Yeah.
So the idea is this enables business development teams to be able to do a really good job on LinkedIn, both on the organic side and on the Sales Navigator side, David. Let's say for example, somebody posted on Sales Navigator, I want to leave a comment on their post. Sales Navigator notified me that they posted. Evvy AI can read the post, draft a comment. All I have to do is decide if I want to comment, and if I like it, I just press comment. You see?
Mm-hmm.
When I'm done, I press the X and I go to the next person. Mark Taylor, for example. He posted 7 minutes ago. I want to leave a comment on his post. I go ahead and I leave a comment just like that. Do you see how quickly I'm able to leave a comment on Mark's post? Can you train—
can this program also too, like, let's say, so example, like there are 15 people every week that I make sure I look at their posts, make sure I comment on stuff like that. Can you— does this program— can you like almost do like a whole group, like, hey, monitor these 15 or 20 people, or is this like almost like a subgroup at all, or?
Yeah, you can, you can definitely monitor people using Sales Navigator. So do you see I have lists over here?
Mm-hmm.
So you can select the specific lists and monitor those people and check to see if they posted inside Sales Navigator and then use Evvii to leave comments. So if I want to see all the people who posted, these are all the marketing directors in that group that posted, you see, and their posts. And anytime somebody posts, the alert will come up. You can actually see it right over here. You see this guy posted. I can now use Heavy AI keyboard shortcut. Boom. Leave a comment if I want to. I may not want to leave a comment on him. I don't, you know, I see he posted twice. I'm not gonna leave on the second. It'll be weird if I leave a comment on every single thing. So if you, you know, it's not completely, you have to like look at it and, and mess with it in order to comply with LinkedIn's terms and conditions. But As you can see, this makes it very, very fast. You see this guy Brett, he keeps posting and posting and posting and posting. If I had an automation that just literally commented, it would just comment and comment and comment and comment on each thing. It would be really annoying for Brett. It would almost be like trolling the person, you know what I mean? Um, so I wouldn't want that. So what I do instead is I have the opportunity for me to Do it more thoughtfully, but also it saves me a lot of time. You get what I'm saying?
It does.
Um, this saves me a ton, a ton of time, and it helps me be able to stay top of mind with these people, which in turn allows them to remember me and also stays on top of their network. Now, for example, I'm part of the Executives Association of New York City. Which I know you're familiar with because you come sometimes. So if I want to see all the members of EANYC, I can see them all right here. I made a list. And if I want to see if they recently posted on LinkedIn, all I have to do is hover over their profile, click on Open Quick Link, and now their recent posts load for me.
Hmm.
So I have all the members here. So I can easily go here, stay top of mind with Derek Power, like this by leaving a comment on his post. And when I'm done, I simply just close that and go to the next person, like George Jensen. I just click on this, it loads up all his recent posts. I give it a like. This is from 5 hours ago. I already left a comment on his post, you see that? And now I'm top of mind with him. I want to look at John Rafferty. John Rafferty just sold his company. You know John?
I have. I have met him before.
Yeah, he just announced that he sold his company. Corporate announcement. First and foremost, I'd like to thank each and every employee and client for all the support in the past 16 years. We've been understood. Our core values is Sun State Security. Pretty cool, right? They sold their company to Sun State Security. I'm going to look at Sun State Security and see if I can get in there. I want to look at who works there. Click on People. Um, do you see the way— okay, but do you get the idea of how Evie AI works? It'll write content, comments, posts, messages. It even has a little voice note thing over here. David, it was really great to meet you today. Do you see the way it kind of typed the whole thing up here?
Mm-hmm.
You can do it in any language. Do you see it has all the different languages here?
Mm-hmm.
You can inject templates into here as prompts. You can refine your output by choosing a persona so it knows who you are, and you can train it to sound a specific way, whether you're on a a specific platform. Let's say you're on Facebook and you want to use it on Facebook to respond. So I set it to be on Facebook and then I can click here like this, send the text from here into Evie AI, and then I can go in here and then I can just insert this like this. You see? It's awesome to see you back in action at the comments strip. That's your early show. It's a perfect way to kick off the evening. You see that? Saturday, 10/4, early show, 5 PM. Message me for comp tickets. Would love to come see you at the Comic Strip on Saturday. Pretty cool, right?
Very interesting.
So how do you see sales teams Using a technology like this?
In my opinion, helps to expedite the process, you know, out of sight, out of mind, so it won't be top of mind. And at the end of the day, for something like this, I mean, it literally is taking out the busywork and getting you more time back.
So what I would love to do is get teams of like 10 people to sign up to it and kind of guide them through a whole year program of training them on how to leverage LinkedIn and also give them all this access. And we have a great affiliate program where we pay 20% commission for 3 years. So if you had a sales team that signed up and it was, let's say, let's call it $30,000 a year in licensing and training fees, you'd get $6,000 a year for that. If it was a $100,000 program, You'd get $20,000 a year for 3 years. That's the idea. And we have no limit as to how many people we can handle. Like ADP has 12,000 sales reps. I'm trying to get into ADP.
So you're, so you're focusing on for Avia AI mainly the sales teams overall in general?
Well, right now coaches and consultants are the ones that are signing up. So we have over 1,000 paying coaches and consultants that are using it. Right now. Um, we don't have a ton of salespeople that are using it. We have sales teams, we have some, a handful, but we don't have a lot. I think that we can exponentially grow if organizations are willing to sign up. We can get much higher tickets. You know, like, we can't charge a coach $100,000.
No.
You can't charge a consultant $100,000, but you can charge a major corporation $100,000 to have their entire sales team use it. let's just say 100 sales reps or 200 sales reps. So that's kind of like the idea and training them and meeting them and guiding them and supporting them and all that stuff. What do you think of that?
I'm just writing a couple notes and thoughts that came off the top of my head. Uh, the gut reaction is sales team of 10 or more. Yeah, it's always nice and great, but I also think if you get a sales team of even 5 or more, that it may not be the $100,000 contract, but now you're looking at maybe a $30,000 or $50,000 contract. I think you can get a lot more hits. I also Something like this, uh, I'll give you an example. I have a company called Wellness Connection.
Wellness?
Wellness Connection, uh, doing about $600,000 right now. They should be doing about $10 million a year in the next 6 to 7 months.
Board of 8 people.
