Joe Apfelbaum describes a soul.md file, a markdown document with your background, skills, goals, and competencies. Feed it to an AI and it understands who you are, making it smarter and more useful. Context is what separates good AI help from bad.
Chapters
Has anybody here created something called a soul.md file? Yes. Where you basically share with the AI everything about you? Who you are, where you've been, what are your skills, where you're from, what do you need to do, what are your responsibilities, what are your capabilities, what are your core competencies, what are the things you want to learn, what are your goals, what are the goals of the company as it relates to you and your position? If you create a document like that called a soul.md document, and I help my clients sit down and customize one for each person, Now you have something called a soul. It's not the same soul that you have spiritually, but from an AI's perspective, you're kind of training it to understand exactly who you are and how it can help you best. So you drag that into a conversation with any AI anywhere in the world, suddenly it gets context. And they say content is king. No, it's context. You need to give the AI context so that it knows. And that's the difference between a smart AI and a dumb AI. Context. I have a question.
