What to do if you get RESTRICTED from LinkedIn 180 LinkedIn Live - Joe Apfelbaum

What do you do? Imagine your account gets restricted and you're freaking out and you're like, oh my goodness, I can't believe it. I might lose my account. First step is don't panic. Don't panic. There's no reason to panic. You're either going to get your account back or you're not going to get your account back. If your account got restricted, there's a reason why it got restricted. Don't freak out. If your account is not restricted, then the first thing you want to do is you want to back it up. And even if it's restricted, you might still be able to back up your account. So how do you back up your account? Let's start there. Let me share my screen right now and teach you how to back up your account. And if you are going to back up your account, just write going to back it up in the chat. Going to back it up. Now that you know how to do it. So first of all, I want to tell you about my artificial intelligence technology for LinkedIn. Let me just make sure that you can see what I'm doing here. Okay, good. This is my artificial intelligence technology for LinkedIn here. Let me see if I can— yeah, so we'll do side by side. Well, actually, I'll put myself low on the bottom there. You can still see me, but take a look at what I'm looking at right now. All right, so step number 1 is when you log in to Evie AI, on the left side we have something called the Learning Center. So go to the Learning Center, Learning Hub, click on the Learning Hub, and then the first option under Learning Hub is going to be Quick Links. You go ahead and you click on Quick Links. Once you click on Quick Links, you're gonna see it says Download LinkedIn Connections. Click on that. Perfect. That'll take you straight to the place in LinkedIn where you can export all of your data. You just press Download Archive. If the archive is not here, you can request a new archive and you download everything, your articles, your connections, your messages, your recommendations, your rich media. So this is going to take a while if I hit download. I'm not going to download it now. Later when I get to my hotel, I'm going to hit download. But this is how you do it. You go to Evvy AI, you click on Learning Hub, you click on Quick Links, and you click on Download Your Connections, and you export all of your data. Now what you want to do is you want to make sure that you have 2-step verification on under Sign In and Security. That's where you set it up. Also, you want to make sure that you have a backup of all of your connections. You'll see if you go in here, you click on My Network on the left side, you're going to see it says Manage My Network. It tells you how many connections you have. So you want to back up your connections, you want to back up your followers, you're going to back up your posts. I have 30,000 connections over here, so make sure that you do that. I like doing it every month, but at least once a year, you want to back it up. Definitely do that. Now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to take a look at my most recent post here. I'm going to click on Posts and Activity and just take a look at my most recent posts just to see if I'm actually live right now. And if you're watching me live and you can see me live, Just let me know. I'm going to go ahead and give myself a like and hit that light bulb button if you can. This way I see that you're actually lightbulbing me. Look at this. I said, do you believe in the power of a blessing? And 1,000 people saw this. I like waiting till I have 1,000 people or at least 3 hours pass. from when I posted before I post again. So if 3 hours pass, I can post again, or if I hit 1,000 impressions on a post. As you can see, I'm going live over here and I'm sharing insights. So what do you do? I'm going to share— I'm going to just do a quick Google search here. As you can see, I just searched for myself. You'll notice that I have a website. You want to make sure that you have a website because the first thing somebody will search for is your name on Google when you get restricted from LinkedIn. So you want to make sure that you have a website that people can go to. The second thing that you want is you want to make sure that it's really easy for people to find you by having profiles on Instagram, on X, on YouTube. You want to make sure that you have videos with how people can contact you. So I have 6,000 followers on Instagram. I have my latest posts on Twitter going out. So I have constant posts going out on Twitter. I have my artificial intelligence helping me update my Twitter every single day, sometimes 3 times a day. So as you can see, 8 hours, 4 hours, and 2 hours. You see that? I have my books, my YouTube channel. I have— so LinkedIn's not the only game in town. You need to make sure that you are actually connected to the audience, building a relationship, getting to know people. That's the idea. And taking them off the platform. Somebody said, I'm not able to add a persona on my account. Can you That's going to be the key. Now I like sending messages to people on a regular basis, so check this out. First of all, Chase commented on my post. I'm not sure what he wrote because it's not showing me, but I'm gonna click on Settings and Privacy. I'm gonna click on Posts and Activity just to kind of see what he wrote. My internet's a bit slow right now, so it might be really noisy. Chase, can you hear me loud and clear, or is it way too noisy here in the place that I'm at? I'm traveling right now. I can't even load it because the internet's so slow. I'm actually tethering off my phone. It should be fast, but I guess it's a bit slow. Just checking it out to see if I can see the comment that you left me. I'm curious to know what you wrote. Like I said, I'm going to be emailing all the YOLs. Somebody told me that the persona is grayed out. So I'm going to go through each one of these YOLs and send them a message. So for some people, you know, the reason I'm doing this manually is because I actually want to build a relationship with each person. Well, this guy I've been messaging, messaging. He hasn't responded to anything, so I'm just going to disconnect from him to make room for other people. This is the hustle, baby. You gotta just literally do this. Message every single connection that you have. Whoops, I called this guy Mordecai. I called him Yoel, so I'm going to edit it now. Boom, you see I edited it. So if you ever make a mistake like that, just go back and edit it. It's not a problem. You want to make sure that you collect the email addresses of all your connections and put them into your CRM. So this way, if you have somebody that's your connection, you want to make sure that you grab their contact information. I'll teach you how to do that. I'm going to go here. Irina Golub, you see?
