In this video, John Kenny (The Relationship Guy) explains the concept of masculine and feminine energy as distinct from gender, describing how these two fundamental energies have existed throughout human evolution and shape our feelings and behavior in relationships. He discusses how societal messages and past experiences can make people feel emasculated, subservient, or forced into roles that don’t align with their true desires. Kenny emphasizes that individuals have a choice to express more masculine traits (taking charge, speaking up) or more feminine traits (allowing others to lead, feeling cared for) depending on what they need in a relationship. He highlights that when the needed energy is not expressed, relationships suffer, and encourages viewers to become aware of their own energy patterns and consciously adjust them. The video concludes with an invitation to seek further coaching through his website.

Hello and welcome to this video today called Masculine and Feminine. In life today, there is a lot of confusion about the roles that we need to play within society and within our relationships. We are constantly bombarded with conflicting messages. That can confuse us and leave us in a place where we just don't know how to be. In this video, I'm going to either help you to understand this or maybe confuse you even further. And as uncontroversial as this may seem, before I explain what I'm talking about, I'm just going to say a little bit about masculine and feminine. There are 2 types of energy that we need to be aware of in our lives. And they are very important to how we feel. One is masculine and one is feminine. They've been part of the human race ever since our evolution from apes to Homo sapiens. I don't mean gender when I'm talking about this, I'm just talking about the energy of the roles that we have within our lives. So do you feel that sometimes perhaps you are emasculated in relationships? Perhaps you feel that you need to take charge in a relationship where you don't really want to or need to. You make all of the decisions and you take the lead. Maybe you let others do things for you. You feel like you have to let them do things because they want to be in charge or that you don't have a voice. During our lives, we feel that we have to fit into certain roles because of the experiences that we've had, the messages that we receive, and the relationships that we've had in the past. You will make a decision whether you need to be masculine or feminine to make these relationships work. But does this actually fit into what you want? Do you want to be more masculine? Do you want to be able to speak up, take charge of certain situations, take control, have your voice, just the ability to say? Do you want to be more feminine? Others take control so that you feel cared for and maybe looked after? What are you doing or not doing that can change your energy or the energy of others to make your relationships more the way that you really want them to be? You don't have to stay quiet and be subservient. You don't have to take control, be in charge, live up to certain expectations. It's your choice. This is just a brief insight into the energies of masculine and feminine. We all carry them, and they have a big impact on how we relate. If the energy that we most need is not being shown or fulfilled, then we will struggle in our relationships. I hope this has been helpful for you today, not led to too much more confusion.
