Boost Yields with Accelerate + PhotoMag

John from AEA explains Accelerate and PhotoMag, two plant nutrition products designed to boost yields. Accelerate is a foliar spray applied at flowering with potash, calcium, and molybdenum to increase blossom number and fruit set. PhotoMag supports photosynthesis and protein synthesis during vegetative growth, especially under heat or drought stress.

Hey, it's John from AEA. I have two of our more useful products here. This is Accelerate and PhotoMag. These are both cocktails of multiple ingredients that are designed to support particular plant functions. Today I want to explain to you what they are, how they work, and how they can be of tremendous benefit on any farm. First up, we've got Accelerate. This is a reproductive support package, so buds and blossoms, So it's got potash, calcium, molybdenum, manganese, and some kelp. Um, and this will help increase the number of blossoms, increase fruit set from those blossoms, prevent blossom abortion. It can, um, help a plant transition from a vegetative phase into a reproductive phase. We have seen plants have an incredible yield response from this because of that effect on the blossoming and the amount of fruit or grain that they're able to produce. It's useful on pretty much any crop that flowers, from cotton to soybeans to tomatoes to fruit trees. You put it out right before a plant starts blossoming and through the blossom phase. You generally apply it as a foliar. In certain instances, you could use it as a soil applied. And we've seen incredible responses from this. Next up, we've got PhotoMag. This is support for photosynthesis and protein synthesis, so two really important plant functions during the vegetative phase. It contains magnesium, sulfur, boron, molybdenum, and cobalt. If you are familiar with the Plant Health Pyramid, you may recognize those first four as Plant Health Pyramid Level 2, which is why we call this Plant Health Pyramid Level 2 in a jug. So at Level 2, plants synthesize proteins from nitrate and ammonium. Also, magnesium is the atom that's at the center of the chlorophyll molecule, so if plants don't have enough magnesium, they won't be able to make enough chlorophyll and they won't be able to photosynthesize as well. We find PhotoMag to be really useful, uh, a lot of times, including during times of abiotic stress. So think heat, drought, frost, hail, all those sorts of things that can stress a plant. Being able to photosynthesize more, produce more sugar, more energy, will help the plant overcome those stressors. And there's more nuance to it too, but if you put out PhotoMag before, immediately before a period of stress, it can really help the plant survive that stress and rebound from it. These two things, Accelerate and PhotoMag, are useful at different phases. Accelerate is great for the reproductive phase, Photomag at the vegetative phase, they can cover a lot of your bases, um, just with these two things. They don't include everything, obviously. For example, we don't have iron, zinc, things like that, but they are helpful when you need those specific, highly important plant functions. A great way to use both of these is if you've already got a conventional NPK program. These don't contain any nitrogen, so you can add these in to get more broadly balanced nutrition. They can make sort of a great gateway into a more robust nutritional management system from just a conventional NPK program. Because they affect such critical plant functions that have such important yield outcomes, these tend to have pretty good return on investment when you use these properly and you use them at the right time. So you can check our website or check the label for the rates and when to apply, but these are things you should really consider having in your arsenal no matter what kind of crop you are growing.
