Megan at Pure Land Farm uses AEA's Accelerate foliar spray on BHN 589 tomatoes to boost calcium, molybdenum, and trace minerals during flowering and fruit set. She applies it heavily at first flowers, then again a week later, which increases blooms and fruit production.

Hey farmers, it's Megan at Pureland, and we're partnering with AEA this year to show you how we use some of their products here on our farm. Here's one of our BHN 589 tomatoes. We grow all determinants. Beautiful vegetative growth, but you can see it is just starting to flower. There's the first little flower cluster. That means it's time for Accelerate. Now Accelerate is specifically formulated to provide nutritional support during the flowering and fruit set process. This is a time in your plant's life when they need more calcium, It's also got molybdenum. It's got some manganese from the kelp, which also brings a lot more trace minerals to the party. These are all the things that your plant needs to throw a lot of blooms. In fact, Accelerate will actually have it throw more blooms and have those set nicely and ultimately produce fruit, right? What we're doing is we're accelerating the plant's journey into its reproductive phase. So here for my determinate tomatoes, because they really kind of flower and fruit once, I'm going to do a good heavy dose now in a foliar spray. I'm going to do another in a week or so. For my continuously flowering crops like the cucumbers and the squash, I'm going to do a weekly application of Accelerate through the rest of the season. That's going to help us ensure that our plants are blooming to the max and that those flowers are supported and actually converting into fruit, which then we get to eat.
