Short YouTube monologue (tractor/planter walkthrough) describing setup and testing of a planter's liquid system. Speaker discusses adding a Raven rate controller, choosing metering tubes, using hydraulic and electric pumps (electric pump for agitation during shutdowns), applying 10 gallons per acre at 20 psi on a 16-row 30" planter, and plans to plant in northeast Iowa after rain.

Over in the tractor today, just kind of a crummy day outside. Getting the liquid system all dialed in. So we've added a rate controller. Raven rate controller. We're gonna have two products on this planter. Right now we're just testing out the infurrow, making sure we got the bugs worked out of that. You can see it's putting on 10 gallon to the acre, kind of playing with the hydraulic flow, making sure it's consistent. We did put a hydraulic pump on the planter right there. It also has an electric pump on it. The electric pump will be strictly used for. If we have we get shut down, we can continue to agitate product in the tank. And then you can see the front of the three trial tanks in the back there. We'll be putting some trials in there along with some water for rinse. Raven rate controller is working great. We ended up going to metering tubes this year. Those work better than I expected, honestly. Just plug and play. Work with your salesman on that. They got us right size tubes. We're putting on 10 gallon to the acre at 20 pounds of pressure on a 16 row 30 planter. And honestly they work really well. We went with a 8 foot option and then we cut them in half knowing that we didn't need all eight feet. Hopefully be planting here in the next week, week and a half after all this rain comes through here in northeast Iowa. So thanks for watching.
