John Kempf explains how to rescue drought-stressed plants with foliar sprays of Rejuvenate or similar sugar solutions. The spray supplies carbohydrates, enzymes, and micronutrients like nickel that reactivate protein synthesis and lower leaf temperature, helping plants recover productivity in heat and dry conditions.

One of the tools that we have, that I've observed being used very successfully in when plants are very stressed, very drought stressed or heat stressed, is actually putting on foliar applications of Rejuvenate. And you can also use sugar or other materials, but Rejuvenate is very effective because it doesn't just contain carbohydrates, it also contains enzymes and other very high energy compounds that contribute lots of energy to a plant. And so it is actually, these plants need a source of energy as well as nickel, as well as these other elements that you're already working on, and that will facilitate the conversion of ammonium back into complete proteins. So that's the, that's the comprehensive answer to your question. And it's a great question. If you're working on it in this way with the approach that you're taking, what is— it's fascinating to observe how much more productive plants can be in heat-stressed environments than we commonly give them credit for. If we just support them with nutrition and we enable them to lower leaf canopy temperature.
