“We’d be spending a lot more money and not getting near the results that we do”

I'm Dan McClure with Walla Walla Organics. Farm is about a 600-acre farm. We have organic and we have some conventional. Our program for these vegetables is to put down a soil primer in the fall, and then we will side dress with some nutrition. As the crop is growing, we will take sap samples. With the sap analysis, we will take those, depending on the crop, about every 2 weeks. We'll use the sap analysis to decide which micronutrient products to put on the crop. If we didn't do the sap analysis, we would have to put all the nutrition down at planting or guess on the foliar spray. So we would be using— I think we would be spending a lot more money and not getting near the results that we do by using the sap analysis.
